does anyone here have the copy of this aokise fic : Here Comes the Sun by rocketlaunchers (pyrodynamo on AO3). Im a big fan of her and her works but she deleted all of her fic online and i feel so sad bc i miss reading them.

Hi. There used to be fic where Jonny was an omega and Patrick was an alpha and I think Jonny changed in an adjacent room to the locker room because everyone thought Patrick wouldn't be able to control himself or that they would bond or something like that. Sorry for the vagueness.

Not sure about this one! If anyone can help this poor neglected ask, i’m sure it’ll be highly appreciated!!

(I could think of three different fics that roughly fit this concept, and the closest one would be Bad Intentions, a deleted fic by pyrodynamo with omega!jonny that has spontaneous bonding, but there’s nothing in the fic about showering separately).

thanks anon! okay, i tried to pick just five, i really did. a lot of these aren’t online anymore but hit me up for pdfs. in no particular order:

squeezing blood from a stone by achilleees

early retirement/illness fic about friendship and loss and resiliency and jonny trying to untangle his kaner-is-a-perfect-player feelings from his kaner-is-my-perfect-person feelings. the core of it is jonny realizing that grieving for patrick’s career doesn’t mean he has to grieve for patrick or their relationship. a tender punch to the gut.

even if you were the last by floss

roadtrip at the end of the world fic (kind of) and probably my favorite/most convincing example of codependency. i looove how their relationship is less of a love story and almost more just a necessity, solid and unquestioned in the amazingly bleak and angsty worldbuilding. so hopeful but so sad, too.

patrick is an alpha, jonny is an omega, and they bond basically on sight but refuse to do anything about it because of power stigmas in the nhl. i’m usually not into the whole “he smelled like fresh lemon and cinnamon” scent thing in abo, but this fic played it in a way that felt natural to the story and world. i love the tension and the pining and the trust. it’s also one of those interesting fics that side-eyes how people/fandom treats bottoming as innately submissive and servile.

miscommunication + sharpy ex machina, my two favorite things. every time i reread this i’m like, OH PATRICK, YOU POOR LOVE FOOL (love me, love me, say that you love me). jonny wants to buy a house, which patrick takes to mean that jonny wants a wife and a dozen babies, so patrick breaks up with jonny and everyone’s heartbroken. sharpy locks them outside on a roof and patrick figures his shit out.

after madison, patrick gets traded. and dumped. set half in the future, ten years later, when he finally goes back to the hawks and half in flashbacks about his relationship with jonny when they were teenagers. to me, it’s about ~the enduring power of love and giving people room to grow and forgiveness and reconciliation. i’m not always super into trade fics but this one is just so thoughtful and convincing and sweet. 

do it how you want it done by zarathuse

high school au that spans the meet cute to the misunderstanding to the makeup to the inevitable graduation breakup, and on top of that the reconnection later in life and meet cute #2. so much happens in this but none of it feels rushed, and it has a really strong closure. the excitement and anxiety and hopefulness patrick feels about jonny and their future is very true to my personal hs experiences.

love is a contact sport by hazel and mermaid

this is a trope home run for me: high school au, miscommunication, soul bond, slow burn. also one of the only long fics that i never skip through on rereads. i’m a total sucker for angst that could easily be avoided and i love how the buildup of their friendship and teenage romance makes the twist really bite, and then how they’re both so torn up about it but still can’t get over each other. the reveal and resolution are so satisfying.

edit: i forgot just blew in from the windy city by vlieger, which should be a punishable offense

Hi guys! I was hoping that someone would be able to help me with finding two AoKaga fics that are no longer available. The fics in question are: “ I’ll Be Your Man” and “Take your desperate punch-drunk romantics” both by a deleted author, Pyrodynamo.

If anyone has these fics saved I would love you forever if you could send them my way? I’ve been looking forever for them since the author disappeared. All I could find was a podfic of “I’ll be your Man” but I would rather read instead of listening to someone else read it.

100% agree and the rhetoric of the model minority / 'naturally intelligent' asian are meant to devalue the labour that goes into bridging that gap in resources and opportunities

i’ve never thought abt that before!! but that makes a ton of sense that the efforts of asians are subdued to '''''''natural intelligence'''''' hence why it’s easy to glance over the little efforts asian students put in in regular assignments etc.

imagine ronan teaching adam how to fight. his hands careful over his. pushing his knees apart and shifting his weight. telling him: don't be afraid. you're stronger than you know.

oh my god i hate this so much because the possibilities are endless??? and i could easily turn it into something angsty but im not going to because i love myself SO IMAGINE‘ok, hit me’‘ronan……’ ‘c'mon man, just do it. try to knock me down’and it’s so ironic because most people would give anything to be able to freely punch ronan in the face but adam can’t do it. he doesn’t want to and it doesn’t even matter because he knows he will never be able to face his father like this, he will never be able to fight back so everything is pointless. how did he even let ronan talk him into this? what a terrible idea.but ok, let’s say adam does try to punch him but misses and something goes wrong, i don’t know, maybe ronan was momentarily too distracted by adam’s beautiful face and loses balance while deflecting or something, I DON’T KNOW, THE POINT IS, THEY END UP ON THE GROUND.and their limbs are tangled and their noses are almost touching and crap, this really was a bad idea, adam thinks, because now ronan is on top of him and they’re both breathing heavily, unable to move, too caught up on just how /close/ they are.adam’s staring wide eyed at ronan’s face, his long eyelashes casting shadows on his cheeks because he’s looking down staring at adam’s lips and at this point ronan is just screaming internally trying to keep it together probably?? i mean, he knows he should get up but they’re so close he can actually count the freckles on adam’s face (adam has freckles fight me on this!!) they’re so close he can feel adam’s hot breath on his face and if he leaned a little bit he could kiss him but of course he would never do that so he just rolls over forcing an awkward laugh, elbowing adam’s ribs‘that was fucking terrible parrish, you’re worse than gansey’‘well, i did knock you off your feet, didn’t i?’and ronan doesn’t reply because yes he did. yes he did.
