The yuehua business model also needs to be studied bc they are known in china for their famous but completely dogshit fleet of chinese idols (ie wang yibo, cheng xiao, fan bingbings ugly brother, the serial homewrecker girl, etc etc) who make a metric fuckload of money for yuehua BUT they seem to be putting way more effort into training the idols they send to korea for groups and for participating in produce 101 type shows.. But then they also pulled cheng xiao out of korea at the height of her popularity so she can be kept in china and be ridiculed for her acting skills so like what is the plan here what is the goal

i didn't watch the girls season so idk if it went to shit then but it's so crazy seeing the difference between qcyn1 and qcyn3 like i don't know what the fuck they were doing for qcyn3 but that might be one of the worst structured shows ive ever seen

exactly exactly. 2020 was the actual last year of chinese produce shows to ME (even tho i did like chuang 2021 but they did not have star quality sorry to those men) and imo the9 was the best group any of the chinese produce shows have debuted like these girls were IT. Hot across the board and a few who were very talented. if iqiyi even had a TINY bit of intention to manage them like a real group they couldve been the biggest cpop girl group in the last 10 years... such a waste.
