ShuSumi

I'll be frank. Whether it be because I knew I was going to be able to on my playthrough for Break Away, I romanced Sumire on my first run of Royal. And I loved it. Their interactions were so damn sweet!!

I love ShuSumi. Not only their interactions together during the romance route, but even before that happens too. They work well together and support each other. There's a good dynamic going there between them. There's more I can talk about if given the right questions, I'm just not sure exactly what to say. To put it simply, it's cute and sweet and I love it.

ShuAke/AkeShu

Much like the previous, I like the dynamic between Akechi and Ren as well. It's one of my top Persona 5 ships for the protag along with ShuSumi. Rivals/Enemies to Lovers is one of my favorite tropes if it's done properly, and AkeShu isn't an exception to that. It's also the fact that Akechi came back in the third semester because of Ren, and that is what Maruki tries to use Akechi as the way to get Ren to agree to not steal his heart. That whole scene was just... oof. Very emotionally charged.

There are some ways that I've seen the ship written that doesn't exactly nail the dynamic or Akechi's character at all correctly, though. That tends to drive me a bit nuts and make me stop reading. He's an asshole, dammit. Let him be an asshole.

The Royal Trio

Okay so... if we're being honest, my favorite combination of these is where Ren gets to hold both of their hands. He is a disaster bisexual who falls for two of his friends, and when they figure it out, they both go for those hands. While Ren's being a disaster over the both of them, I like to think that Akechi and Sumire end up being pretty close friends in the long run. They just happen to share a simp boyfriend.

One of my favorite things about the trio as well is that they're able to see underneath each other's masks. I have a feeling that Akechi already knew that there was something going on while Sumire was pretending to be Kasumi, but he didn't say anything about it. He knew who she was the whole time. And while Ren was affected by Maruki's illusion, there were some moments where he saw Sumire underneath Kasumi's mask and helps her bloom into her true self once the illusion wears off. I think that's beautiful.

Ren knew about Akechi the entire time, and it's through their confidant that Ren can see more of the true him under that false persona he wears. I'm not so sure about Sumire in this case, because I remember her being surprised by Akechi's true self. I do remember her adapting to it rather quickly, though.

And Akechi and Sumire are able to see past the lies and reputation that Ren has to see the real him. Ren's not afraid to show the true him around the two of them, despite how many masks he may wear literally, seeing as he's a wild card.

Basically, their dynamic flows incredibly well when the three of them are together, and in one fic series of mine, I am incredibly tempted to have the Royal Trio be the ship that Ren is involved in. It won't be confirmed in the main game because Ren is a disaster, but in Strikers. Either way, it'll be fun to work with.

Ok i dont know why but for some reason edelgard makes me feel physically uneasy. Like i cant look at her without feeling either physically ill or uncomfortable. I got to play some Lego Lord of the Rings (on the Wii XD) the other day and I have finally completed my ultimate goal.

I have the entire Nazgûl crew + Sauron!

It took way longer than it should've to get the regular ringwraith. It should not have taken years to find him. XD How was I supposed to know there's no day/night cycle in this game and you have to switch an area to night manually when you fast travel?

Hardenshipping-Angst:

Their fights are as passionate as their love. While neither will ever cross a line they can't return from, words are exchanged and sometimes doors are slammed. Maxie has been known to drive out in town after a particularly bad fight with Archie and the sailor tends to hide away to mope in angry silence.

Hardenshipping-Fluff:

To go back to the arguments; Maxie always comes back with a peace offering; usually Archie's favorite drink. The sailor will be waiting for him on the front porch, a spot beside him open and the most apologetic expression on his face. "I'm sorry." They'll both say, and then they laugh cause they're kinda predictable. They usually work out their antics soon after and spend the rest of the evening sitting under the stars leaning into one another.

Hardenshipping- Tickle:

Archie will plot sneak attack tickles during jumpscares in horror movies. Originally he did that for further spooks, but now he does them cause Maxie hates jumpscares and tickles help him prepare for the spook a little. The redhead will claim he hates them but really- he just doesn't wanna lose face.

This right here is what pisses me off the most about qt costing now. This is a Sith Warrior, sitting in Marka Ragnos’ tomb and unable to fast travel back to the Academy bc I didn’t have enough money. There is NOTHING  in her inventory. I already sold everything she didn’t currently have equipped. 

Normally when I start a new toon I send them seed money, but since this one’s just a throwaway for the weekly I didn’t bother. Wound up fast traveling to the field research area and taking a speeder, which does work, BUT it’s still annoying bc you used to be able to just go all the way back. Yes, it’s a convenience thing. I get that. They don’t have to include it, you don’t have to use it. But they did include it, and it’s a convenience that’s been free for years, and some newbie who has no higher level toons to send an allowance credits to starter ones is gonna be unable to take advantage of that convenience bc BW decided to add an arbitrary and frankly overpriced cost to it. How is Jo Schmo who just started the game contributing to inflation, BioWare? What negative impact are they having on the economy when they’ve only been playing for two hours and haven’t even left the starter planet? How does this help fix the economy? Anyone selling items for fuck you money through the trade channel isn’t even going to feel less than 800 credits, but it’s more than starter toons HAVE after SELLING EVERYTHING IN THEIR INVENTORY.

In my opinion, if they absolutely insist on keeping the charge for qt in the game, it needs to either a) not kick in til at least either Coruscant/Dromund Kaas(and even then, most places on Coruscant are 5k from the Senate tower. It’s ridiculous, so I’d argue Balmorra/Taris) or b) get cut waaaaaaaaaaaaaay down for starter/home worlds. I don’t care if that means higher level players aren’t paying a lot for travel when they come back to Coruscant/DK. As another example, It cost 8 times as much to quick travel from Kalikori Village to the Jedi temple vs taking the speeder.
