I just tagged all my HP stuff “anti jkr”

I know my queerness and constant reblogs of trans support should be enough to show that I don’t hate the trans community, but I feel like if she’s gonna turn such a gay piece of media into a hate symbol I might as well be vocal about it.

I’ve also heard that a good way of eradicating transphobia is making transphobes feel uncomfortable in your space. Since I make and reblog a lot of Harry Potter content I feel like TERFs will try to make themselves comfortable here, but not on my watch.

So from now on, “anti jkr” or any tag like it will always appear on my strictly Harry Potter stuff (crossovers don’t count).

I love Harry Potter headcanons much more than the actual text. That being said, I feel like we should acknowledge that almost any Harry Potter hc could be true, because the books are told from Harry's perspective, and Harry is fucking oblivious. He could walk into a room and be like "wow it's kinda weird that Dean and Seamus are naked wrestling. Boys will be boys ig!" and then walk into a brick wall.

Survey participants must have written a non-binary character in their published or unpublished fanfiction at some point. Non-cisgender authors will be prioritized for the paid interview portion. There are more details about this in the survey. You must be over 18 to complete the survey. SURVEY LINK HERE

It takes about 15-20 minute depending on how much you want to share. As a volunteer researcher myself and general academic nerd, this is really cool to me and having research like this matters.

I headcanon Heromine as a trans woman. She often used spells to help her achieve a more comfortable gender experience. So when this Harry Potter magazine Referred to Heromine’s breasts as “magical charms” and couldn’t help but snicker.

In all seriousness the constant sexualization of Heromine is horrible and I was hesitant to post this due to that. The thing that swayed me was that I didn’t support the grossness of it and could just state that outright.

I’ve been seeing Jegulus stuff for quite a while, but I’ve always been curious: where exactly did the ship come from?

In canon (though f canon), they don’t have any sort of relationship, no interactions. And there isn’t anything that stands out to me in terms of compatibility. We know that Regulus had a serious change of heart, willing to sacrifice himself to end Voldemort. Puts them on the same side of the war.

Maybe that’s part of it? Both Regulus and James had to go through a redemption where they became better, James being a bully and Regulus being a bigoted fascist. That plus the regular interactions James had with the Black family through Sirius. And the added spice of “you have a crush on my brother?!”.

Let me know how far off I am.
