with how we're all aware of how toxic masculinity leads men/boys to harass, assault, and abuse other men/boys, you'd think the fact they can be harmed by patriarchy and misogyny wouldn't be a controversial statment. *especially* marginalized men. but alas, many people have taken the "identity" in identity politics so literally, they just end up ignoring and reinforcing the harmful things they claim to be against.
also if you think the pain of the men harmed by toxic masculinity isn't a big deal because they're men... that is. that is literally you believing in toxic masculinity. like i thought we all knew part of toxic masculinity is that men shouldn't feel pain, they shouldn't cry, they can't ask for help or be truly hurt, etc. etc. and if they do any of these things, then they're not real men and not only deserve to be emasculated, but deserve to suffer. you just switched it to they are real men so they deserve to suffer.
and even though again, this is extra harmful for marginalized men, i shouldn't have to say that for you to care. if you only give support to people harmed by these systems when you think deserve it, you're always going to end up propping these systems up at some point. maybe you should stop that.
also. to any man reading this who feels like their pain doesn't matter: it does. you deserve to exist in a world where you're safe to be yourself and feel emotions, and get genuine protection and support. we all need to exist in that world. none of us deserve this hell.

I love men and their masculinity so much. Twinks, Bears, cis men, trans men, high femme men, super rugged butch men, I love them all. I'm so fucking gay for men.

Hey just letting you know if you come on to mlm’s posts where we talk about how much we love men and are proud to like men and start complaining about how much you hate men and think they’re disgusting, you’re annoying. You’re welcome.

healthy masculinity exists and it's beautiful. i love when men are able to open about their emotions. i love when men cuddle together. i love when men are confident in their gender and know in their heart that nothing can make them any less of a man. i love when they do "traditionally masculine" things because it's what makes them happy, not because they feel like they have no choice.
and i love when this healthy masculinity is shared with others. i love when a man's vulnerability gives others the chance to be vulnerable too. i love when men become hair stylists and make-up artists, giving others the joy of self expression. i love when fathers teach their sons to be caring and gentle, and allow them to engage in "traditionally feminine" things. i love when men are able to be the representation they needed to see, and find comfort in how just their existence helps others.
i love when men are truly happy - especially marginalized men. there is so much joy in manhood and masculinity - people just need to be allowed to experience it.

I love when men have large hands that fully encase my own. I love the goofy grins they get when they’re proud and embarrassed at the same time. The shy smiles that fill my stomach with butterflies. I love tall men, how their bodies wrap around me and I feel safe and warm. I love short men who are just my size because I too, am short. I love thin men. They look like they could break so easily, but they’re spitfires instead. I love chunky men, especially when they have a belly. They’re so soft and comfortable and warm. I love men with long hair that effortlessly falls just right and the way it blows in the breeze. I love men with short hair whose beautiful faces aren’t hidden from the world to see. I love confident men who aren’t afraid to say what they think. I love shy men who smile at every compliment. How I wish words could make them see how beautiful they really are. I just. Love. Men.

As a trans man who used to be a lesbian, I still have a lot in common with lesbians and the lesbian community. I listen to and relate to a lot of lesbian music even though I’m a gay trans man. I understand trans men who still have that connection to the lesbian community.
Trying to police trans men and transmasc people is not what we should be doing. Telling someone what they can and cannot be/call themselves is literally the exact same shit that transphobes do to us. Don’t be like them. Let people be.
