a flag for anyone who reclaims the derogatory term “fairy.” this is especially used to target feminine queer men, however it had also been used against gender non-conforming queer and/or intersex people in general. use whichever version you prefer!

𖦹 Queerbased
-𖦹- Queerbased refers to a system that is based in being queer, but is not inherently an origin.
-𖦹- This means being queer could affect headmates, their roles, functions, or other parts of how the system functions. Queerbased systems may be queer-heavy as well.

I think this could be a very Brazilian thing considering our culture of being more open to make out with or hook up with other people without being in a committed relationship, but there’s a slang used by lesbians here that is called “rebuceteio”.
There’s not a single word in English (that I know of) that could translate what that means. It basically means when a group of lesbians/sapphics all have made out/hooked up with each other.
It’s like we’re all connected somehow. It’s funny because sometimes you don’t even know about it. Like the girl I’m seeing told me she had a fling with a certain girl and I found out that girl also had a fling with one of my friends.

Queerity/Queerine
Tumblr media
When one only feels like they're expressing their gender properly if they’re covered in Pride Flags/Rainbows. They could also like pride flag themed outfits💖
The gender expression equivalent to Qingender🌈✨️

(*Queer is intended here to mean the broadest and most inclusive interpretation of the word)
I make this poll because I see some people talk about straight trans people, straight aces, straight gnc people, straight polyamorous people, straight kinksters, etc., while also seeing others say that while these groups can be hetero, they are inherently non-straight. So I'm wondering to what degree the folks of tumblr (that this post reaches anyway) agree/disagree on the definition of straight!
P.S. anyone can identify as anything they want forever, just asking how you personally define the word, daily reminder not to harass anyone for using it differently than you do, especially regarding their own identity, okay bye 👋

Term coined: Moth lesbian
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Originally coined 6/22/22 on twitter
“Moth lesbian: a lesbian who lives joyfully and unapologetically despite being seen as a pest. An inherently defiant term that refuses definition or restriction. We are as wide and as varied as moths! Flag colors based off the rosy maple moth (Drocampa rubicunda)
Moth lesbians deliberately defy explanation or attempts to define us. There are innumerable definitions of moth lesbian. Gatekeeping is antithetical to what it means to be us.
I chose moths to represent us because of how they are viewed as pests and unwanted while hiding such beautiful colors and interesting lives. Moth lesbian is for anyone who is living unapologetically or who wishes to. Moth lesbian is a rallying cry and a community.
I’ve put a lot of thought into meanings the past few months as I’ve created this. Subversion and inclusion are very important ideals to me as well as solidarity and queer joy.
I’ve also literally centered queer attraction to women.
The inclusion of trans and gender diverse lesbians is very deliberate&the language is chosen to include innumerable genders on the non-binary spectrum as well as cultural genders that do not neatly fit into nonbinary.”
Our counterpart qlm term, moth gay, can be found here
Credit is not necessary to use for personal use. If making your own flag or crediting coinage, please credit as “Clementine Nebulae,” “Clementine of the Nebulae System” or “The Nebulae System.” Clementine uses exclusively she/her pronouns.
[image ID first image: A five stripe flag with two pink stripes at the top, the first is a muted hot pink and the second is a lavender pink. The third stripe is a light pink/purple that almost can’t be told if it’s pink or purple. The fourth stripe is a goldenrod yellow and the fifth stripe a muted cream. End image description.]
[image ID second image: The same pink, purple, yellow, and cream flag as in the previous image with text layered over the stripes.
Top stripe/bright pink text reads: inclusive, subversive, and unapologetic
Second stripe purple pink text reads: defiance and empowerment
Middle stripe text reads: queer attraction to women
Yellow stripe text reads: community solidarity and queer joy in adversity
White/cream stripe text reads: trans and gender diverse lesbians
End image description.]
Hex codes for stripes
First stripe: #96005d
Second stripe: #a14f7e
Third stripe: #c29bb3

So many of y'all clearly don't know that top/verse/bottom is a different thing than dom/switch/sub and it shows with the tags and language you use.
Top/Verse/Bottom is generally in reference to those who enjoy giving/giving and receiving/receiving penetration.
Dom/Switch and Sub is in reference to the role one has/enjoys having in terms of a power dynamic.
These two sets of terms are not interchangeable and while I'm at it they are also not defined in any way by someone's gender or how masculine or feminine presenting they are. That being said people can be bottom + dom (regardless of their gender or how masculine/feminine they may appear/tall or short they are/etc. You get the point) and vice versa for people who are tops + subs. Y'all keep treating terms like top and dom as well as the others like they're synonyms, they are not .

Terms I will never censor, because some people still think tagging images that literally say "dyke" as "d slur" is okay and acceptable, despite ACTUAL DECADES of queer people fighting (and dying, and being beaten) to be able to call themselves a dyke:
Dyke
Faggot
Cuntboy
Queer
Butch
Twink
Fairy
Sissy
Pansy
Poof
Faghag
Rugmuncher
Homo
Tranny
Ladyboy
Hermie
There are more, but if you're posting historical images of queer merch like pins, or patches, or actual queers in photos with their protest and declaration signs as "[letter] slur", you are disrespecting everyone who uses these terms, as well as shitting on the privileges those people fought for us to have right now.

i made these + hazardqueer in response to the harmful/exclusionist term going around also known as "safequeer" so i decided to reclaim it!

Interesting fact: here in Brazil we don’t usually refer to masculine women with the term “masculine” (especially LGBTQ+ people), it’s used the term “desfem” (which means “not feminine”) to avoid people associating them with men.
This is not a really known term from what I know. Tbh I had never heard of it until a few months ago.
