The thing is Aziraphale is convinced Crowley falling was a mistake in the system. Crowley is good and he's kind and Heaven is supposed to be the good side so it shouldn't have cast him out, that's why he wants to reinstate him as an angel, because what else would he be?

Whereas Crowley understands perfectly that him falling was the system working as intended, Heaven doesn't care about angels being good and kind, it cares about them being obedient and loyal.

And as long as Aziraphale doesn't see that he won't be free from them, because it's inconceivable to him that someone good wouldn't want to be on the good side.

There's something to be said for Olivia Octavius's absolute commitment to the bit.

Like when she had the labcoat hiding her supervillain costume, she maintained the whole Nervous Civilian Scientist Woman act even though she was alone with the Kingpin, in a facility staffed entirely by hench-scientists, with no clue at the time that Peter B and Miles and Gwen actually existed let alone were Solid Snaking their way inside the building in two independent groups. Then when she did meet Peter B, she got so deep into Science Mode, she didn't even ping anyone's Spider Sense before she voluntarily did the Reveal.

And when she is in Doc Ock mode, she does not settle down even for one minute. "There's three, actually! No, no, this is good, this is very good" she says, wasting nine seconds out of the "you have ten seconds to fucking explain yourself" visible on Wilson's face before she told him that this is a step towards her his goal. She's just a fantastic woman.
