IT  IS  NOT  SURPRISING  TO  ERIK  that  his  children  are  mutants.  

what  surprises  him  is  that  their  gifts  are  so  unlike  his  own.  he  wonders  just  how  the  x-gene  works,  he  wonders  how  it  affects  the  chemical  makeup  of  a  mutant  child--he  wonders  frightful  thoughts,  those  of  the  like  that  have  led  to  his  own  torment,  he  thinks.  new  york  is  a  tall,  sprawling  city,  and  his  work  in  construction  will  keep  them  afloat,  banked  off  the  income  he’d  saved  from  his  time  working  for  the  mossad.  

but,  still,  he  worries.  still,  he  fears  what  will  become  of  his  son,  his  daughter.  he  fears  the  day  this  little  neighborhood  of  mutants  will  become  exposed  to  the  outside  world--where  anonymity  will  no  longer  suffice  to  buffer  their  persons.  

‘  pietro,  ‘  erik  calls,  scuffing  his  work  boots  on  the  shaggy  little  welcome  mat.  he  would  prefer  the  mountains  of  serbia  to  this,  but  america  was  ripe  with  their  own  kind,  and--something  had  to  be  done.   ‘  meine  kleiner,  come  help  me  with  supper.  ‘   he’d  stepped  out  just  long  enough  to  purchase  a  hefty  bag  of  groceries,  letting  wanda  continue  her  nap  uninterrupted.  a  brief  pause,  one  that  did  not  merit  the  attention  of  a  babysitter--or  charles,  as  he  tended  to  be  these  days.   ‘  pietro.  ‘   erik  repeats,  working  his  feet  free  from  his  boots,  setting  the  grocery  bag  carefully  aside.

FIGURES ; HE NEVER DOES. like ships passing in the night, he’s never had the pleasure of truly getting to know Pietro, but as ever, people talk. usually whatever’s being said is far from cordial, he knows the drill. the speedster’s appearance at his door, seemingly out of nowhere, thus leaves him standing in the doorway with his arms crossed before his chest ( metal gleams in the dim shine of the porch lights ), not quite sure what to do. he doesn’t like this         none of this. 

“ can’t say I’m surprised. ” there’s a distinct air of move or you will be moved between them, but he doesn’t budge. few can do stubborn as well as Bucky can, and even fewer appreciate unannounced visitors as little as he does. even if they do have a reason for a late night visit. “ feel free to go look, but Clint’s not here. an’ whatever mess you two got to sort out, I’d appreciate it if you didn’t do it around my house. ” calm and quiet. that’s what the therapist says. not dumb and dumber playing Love Actually on his front yard.

“Pietro?” Ken begins, eyes not quite widening, because they, well, can’t. The intention is obvious in his inflection. Do you really want to know what they think about that guy?

“He’s he worst,” Jenny starts. “Not half as bad as Hank or Justice or Penance...”

“But definitely not as cool as Tigra,” Ken supplies for her. She brings out the worst in him sometimes.

“That being said,” Jeanne says, regarding them both cooly. “We don’t want anyone overly heroic, or that thinks they’re too good for us. Pietro---”

“He meets us at our level. He understands,” Ken keeps it going.

“---What it’s like to be around adults who don’t try to understand you---who want something from you... who want you to be somebody you just can’t be. Even if he doesn’t want to admit it---he doesn’t expect as much from us. He doesn’t expect anything from anybody. He knows that we’re going to be bitchy & mean assholes to him like everybody else in the world is....” Jenny admits, ignoring that that’s how... a lot of people have treated the three of them.

“And even while he wants us to respect him...” Ken continues.

“And even in his egomania and extreme lack of patience... He doesn’t think so highly of himself that he thinks he’s better than us. And he also doesn’t seem to think that being an Avenger or a hero is the end-all be-all of our existence. Or his.” Jeanne says, very slowly, a frown dawning on her features, as she remembers once again how much she cares for the man.

“He’s a person,” Ken says, finally. “And he doesn’t pretend not to be.”

“A shitty person---” Jenny continues. “But that’s why we kinda, sorta like him.”

“He doesn’t make excuses, doesn’t make up lies beyond what the others feed him or what he deems necessary. He’s complicated, but not overly so, and very easy to figure out. But more than anything, he wears his flaws and his trauma on his sleeve and his chip on his shoulder like a badge of honor.” Jeanne hugs an arm over her chest.

“That’s what makes him one of us,” Jenny finishes. Ken puts his arms between the two of them---they’re both heavy, but they’re used to the weight of everything that’s been put on them, and they deal with it together, and with the Avengers like Pietro, that they like. “He’s different, and he knows it, and he doesn’t try to preach to us or pity us. Because he understands us. And we... understand him as much as anybody can understand him.”

“He’s family,” Ken finishes, and the girls look away, but Jenny laughs into her grimace. Jeanne’s face mirrors the cringe. It’s always going to be more complicated than that---but put in the simplest terms. Yeah, he’s as much their family as they are each other’s.

Story : Dadneto

After apocalypse erik stay two or three days in mansions and now he was leaving tomorrow morning , peter was really worried about tell him or not , that he is his son , should erik will think that peter is trying take place of his late wife and daughter , or he never want peter that why he leaves peter's mother when is she was pregnant with him , will erik really want a son , who is just good at running nothing else , who is drop out of high school , who is turning 18 year old tomorrow , and who don't know what to do with life , these thoughts are running in his mind , he really didn't what to do ? Should he tell erik about it or not , he was running around mansions thinking about all this , when he is worried or in tension , he start running .

Now he was in halls of mansions , lost in his thoughts , he was before professor's office , when hear erik's voice and he quietly open the door and see erik, professor , raven and hank are drinking and talking, professor look at peter and smile and say " Do you want something peter ? " now everyone look at peter and he get nervous and professor say " I can't read your mind , but I can tell you want to say something and you are nervous about it " hank look at charles and say " you can't read his mind ? " he was confuse , because charles can read everyone's mind and charles say " I can , but I don't want " erik , raven and hank look at with confuse look on there face and charles continue " his thoughts are run faster than any other mind , that give me headache " peter giggle and ask with hesitation " Can I join you all " charles look him and ask " you want to drink ? " peter nod and hank ask " But your age , aren't you underage ? " peter disappear from his spot with a blink of eye he was sitting near hank and say " I am not underage man , I am turning 18 tomorrow , I can drink or you can give me chance to drink as my birthday present " hank look at him and say " don't scared me like this peter and ask charles about this , he is your professor , not me " peter make puppy eyes towards charles saying " please professor , please, please " professor look at everyone and say " ok , but not more than one glass "

After 10 minutes peter get drunk , because it's was his first time drinking and he start getting hiccup and say " man....*hiccup*I..am.. feeling...dizzy... *hiccup* " professor say " peter you are drunk , hank help the to get his room " hank stand up and peter say " No....I want to talk with you all " hank sit down again and everyone look at him and he " You know professor , when I was kid " erik think this boy is still kid and he continues " I really like going to school , I really like study I want become a big man*hiccup* but " he paused and everyone look at to continue and he say " then his mutantion came and my hair become grey or white whatever silver " he put his hand on his sliver hairs and he continue " and everyone one in school make fun of me and my hair , and I accidentally beat some students " everyone look at him and he say " I don't want to , but they say my father leave me, because my weird hair , it hurt me " tears came to his eyes and he continues " It's hurt me in heart professor and I leave the school and " now he point out at Erik and say " You know this mutantion came from my father , I know that from childhood , i alway ask my mother , who is father, but she never tell " raven look at him and say " Peter are ok ? , should I and hank help you get your room " peter look at her and say " let me talk , I can't take this burden anymore " raven feel bad for boy and he continue " That day before professor came to my house , I ask my mom , did she and my father really have something or I was just a mistake " he laughs and say " it's was bad idea to ask her this question and as a answer " everyone look at him , raven , hank and charles was waiting for answer erik was looking at boy and peter continue " she slap me in my face " he say with smile and everyone look at him with confuse face and he continues " that day I know I was not a mistake , but she tell me that my father was also mutant , he could bend metal " everyone looks at erik and he look at boy with confuse look and he point out at erik and say " after watching your speech on tv , my mother was shocked ,but not because of your speech , but from something else " erik was now focus on boy talking , charles was now understanding what the peter was trying to tell .

Peter continue " and I ask my mother , why she was shock by seeing you on tv , but I was careful this time , I don't want another slap as answer " boy giggle and continue now in sad tone " she tell me that you are my father " erik was shocked and peter say with laughter " yeah I remember , I also have same expression " erik look at him and he continues " I ask how , so she tell me that she meet you in past and...." everyone look at him again erik really want to know more , how this kid is son , did he have family left and peter continues " she didn't tell me much , but she tell me that time you were after someone Shaw and " peter was cut by erik saying " magda " peter look at him and say " yeah mom , she tell me that she ask you to chose between her or Shaw , but you choose Shaw and you go after your revenge , so she never tell you about her pregnancy " erik realise that he chose revenge he regard that decision, that's why he was separate from his sons all these years and Peter continue " when I know about you , I want to come and talk you about me , mom doesn't want me to meet you, saying that revenge was more important for you than family , she demand me a promise that I will never try meet you " erik look at boy who was his son and peter continue " then after many years later I see news about your family and I came to you and meet raven I tell her , and she tell me that I will not late this time " erik , hank and charles look at raven , because they don't know that raven know about this and boy continue everyone looks at boy " when I get chance , I was before you , raven was with me and I say I am your.....I here for my family too , I changed my word " erik look at him , think why boy changed his word for the moment he wait for his whole life and peter continue " I thought that if I tell you that I was your son that time , you will think that I came to become replacement of your late wife and daughter " he give a sad smile to erik and say " I don't want to be replacement , I just want my father , my whole damn life " tears are running down his cheek and erik quickly hug him and say " it's ok , I am here " peter was sobbing and say ", I just..want...my...father , I..don't..want to..become...replacement " everyone looks at father and son duo and peter say " did I become selfish that I want to know father , that I want him all my childhood , that I want to play with him like other kid do , that I " erik cut him and say " it's ok peter, you are not selfish , you are most selfless person I ever know , you are my son " peter feel somehow relief after hearing that erik call him son and he sleeps in erik hug and charles say " poor boy gone through so much erik " erik say " yes charles I never know that I have a son , who suffer so for me " charles say " forget about bad things my friends , look at positive things , you have son to take care , isn't it ? " erik nod and say " I put him in his bed " he pick peter in his arms and leave .

Ok guys first thing I have to say , drinking age is different in every country , but in my country it's after 18 , I don't know about American , so sorry 🥺 please forgive me

what if luna was only raised by crystal & had absolutely no contact with pietro?

so i made maxi answer something similar HERE but i’m going to kind of piggy back / tell luna’s side of it now.

i fully agree it would be a totally different dynamic, that’s for sure. i’m going to pull a lot of my own personal experiences in talking about the topic (aka why i relate to luna reason number i’ve lost count). if anyone feels like that skews the answer, well that’s just too bad. hearts.

he would feel like a total stranger, as maxi said. on both sides of this, it would be awkward and disconnected. luna would only know what crystalia has told her about pietro and depending on crystal’s mood or what’s happened recently, that can either be good or bad things. that's going to change how she feels about him too and while crystal can't lie to luna, lying also isn't an exact science & if her mother truly believes what she is telling her daughter as truth- then it's going to look like truth.

she would grow up with questions about 'who is my father' and a lot of 'what is he really like'. there are some days she'll question why she can't meet him— if it's her fault, crystal's fault, or pietro's fault. then the doubts of he just doesn't want anything to do with her settle in around the time she's a teenager and it makes her a little bitter.

she clings to her step-father ronan (don't get me started please) until their separation. when, if, she finally meets pietro as an adult- he's not her dad. he's her father, the man who was with her mother but has no baring on her life or the way she turned out. the most they may ever become at that point is friendly but never parental.

it also changes her dynamics with the avengers and other mutants.

luna wouldn't want to be an avenger. she wouldn't like or dislike any of them, they're just the people pietro lives and works with. she does not treat them with affection but respect as earth's heroes but also may slightly harbor some anger that they claim to defend not only earth but some of them different worlds and the universes- so why not her home when it was under attack by humans?

she wouldn't have a relationship with her grandfather or other mutants. as always she would be respectful and courteous to anyone she comes across but none of them are treated with affection or familial bonds. erik becomes just another radical and actually someone she does end up disliking as an adult- simply because he also wasn't there to help when her home was being attacked.

without pietro, she loses some of the best parts of her life: wanda & lorna, the avengers & next generation avengers, erik. without them in her life, luna's outlook is shifted to something with more resentment and doubts, sometimes just anger she doesn't know where to place because there are too many questions no one answered for her as a kid. a lot of assumptions that lead to harbored feelings about strangers in her life.

she would not call earth home & she would do little to protect it.
