QuiObi Omegaverse Week - DAY 7

DAY 7: Surprise pregnancy │ Nesting

Headcanon/Not-Fic:

You gotta know by now that I like to fit as much as possible in these ideas. And I know the song might not feel like it relates to the prompt, but... Guess what? I always find a way! Anyway, this song absolutely made me think about near death experiences. Being Jedi, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon had many close calls and "almost died" moments. So, I picture them being in an established relationship and they know it's wrong and that it's prohibited, but they keep it a secret from the rest of the Order, while still managing to cycle together almost every time one of them is in a rut or a heat. Everything is perfect, even if sometimes they are separated for long periods of time because of the Clone War. Then, after years of being together, Obi-Wan stops having heats.

He isn't worried about it. First of all, they are in the middle of a war, and bodies get put under all kinds of stress. Stress heats or missing heats because of stress happens all the time. Second, he's starting to get older and he barely sees his Alpha with how busy they both are, so maybe his cycle is just getting messed up. Third, he's too busy to really pay attention to it and he feels find; maybe a little bit of nausea, but he sleeps to little and often skips meals so it's pretty standard to feel like crap. I mean, he doesn't even have time to meditate anymore! But as soon as Qui-Gon meets with him, he notices that Obi-Wan has been nesting. And not just one nest either. Nope, he has multiple nests, bigger than he usually does and basically on any familiar soft surface! There are multiple nests in their rooms (there's basically no piece of clothing/no blankets that hasn't been added to one of the nests), a couple of them in Obi-Wan's ship (the Clones stopped worrying about it after his third and just gave up whatever item Obi-Wan asked for to add to the new nest he's building), and he even somehow managed to build one on Qui-Gon's ship without him even realizing till he basically already leaving Coruscant, Obi-Wan going in the opposite direction on his own ship (and even that one is huge, with lots of pieces of clothing belonging to both of them, one of Anakin's old cloaks and even pieces of the clones' gear bearing Qui-Gon's battalion's colors). For a while Qui-Gon worries that Obi-Wan might be about to go into a huge heat, especially since he apparently missed at least two already, and he hates the idea of being apart from him when he might end up feeling very very sick. But Obi-Wan reassures him that he's doing fine, that he's just very hungry and tried, and sometimes his back hurts pretty badly, but isn't that just what happens when you get old and still have to fight in a war? It's not that at all tho. And Obi-Wan finds out he's actually pregnant after getting injured pretty bad after a fight (like, he might have died but his own baby healed him preventing both of them from dying, or some lovely cliché bullshit like that). And it doesn't matter that Qui-Gon is needed somewhere else, he leaves Anakin alone to deal with it and he runs to the other side of the Galaxy to be close to Obi-Wan because THEY ARE FUCKING HAVING A BABY, AND OBI-WAN AND THEIR UNBURN PUP ALMOST DIED! THEY ARE HIS PRIORITY NOW, NO MATTER IF THERE'S A WHOLE PLANET FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM AND... oh fuck. The Order isn't his priority anymore. What is he gonna do? Will Obi-Wan leave the Order for him if Qui-Gon asks? Or will Qui-Gon break his Omega's heart by even just proposing it? But of course all his worrying is for nothing: Obi-Wan asks him to leave it all behind, tells him that he can't risk the baby's life like this anymore, that he doesn't want Qui-Gon to risk his life for a stupid war and that he needs to be with Qui-Gon somewhere safe. So they basically call the Order and hastily give a "bye bitches, we're married and soon to be parents, fuck your war!" speech to the Council. Then they'll probably say sorry to Anakin for leaving so suddenly (to which Anakin would just asks to be the godfather of the baby because of course he's sure it'll be a boy) and apologize to the Clones for leaving them without their Generals (the Clones basically try to convince Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan that they need to be escorted somewhere safe and that they all will do that with pleasure; of course, they both say no, but they thanks them and reassure them that they can visit whenever they want). And that's it; they find a nice neutral place where to live, away from the war, and they finally enjoy their little family.

Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi was an incredibly lucky apprentice. Of all the Masters of the Order, the one who had chosen him when he was twelve had been Qui-Gon Jinn- the man he admired since he was a youngling. The Jedi was renowned for his diplomatic skills, his commitment to the Order as well as to the Will of the Force and his free spirit. He was headstrong, curious and compassionate. He was also famous for his status. There were few Omegas in the Order and Qui-Gon Jinn was one of them. . Or, When Qui-Gon came back in the morning, spotting red love bites on his neck, Obi-Wan looked the other way and inquired whether he wanted a cup of tea.

Headcanon/Not-Fic:

This time I couldn't choose between two songs, so I decided to keep them both, 'cause why not? Also, once again I think the two prompt suit each other pretty nicely. I don't necessarily have a very detailed idea with this one.

Mainly I like the idea of Obi-Wan being super jealous that Qui-Gon gives so much attention to some else, either an Omega or a Beta, doesn't really matter.

He just sees it as Qui-Gon losing interest in him, so he decides that the best way to get that attention back is to be super bratty. So he starts running into danger for the sake of getting into trouble, or he bad mouths any Alpha he meets, and why not, he even flirts with other Omegas just to annoy Qui-Gon.

And at first they only end up bickering, which annoys Obi-Wan even more. Till Obi-Wan actually gets injured after one of his dumb stunts and Qui-Gon is both mad and worried. But as soon as Obi-Wan starts crying and asking Qui-Gon not to leave him, Qui-Gon realizes what was the problem and of course he snuggles with Obi-Wan and reassures him that he's the only one for him!

(Then when Obi-wan is in a better headspace of course Qui-Gon punishes him.)

First of all, we have never banned or blocked anyone from participating in an event, aside from an anon who sent a harassing message, and we do not know the identity of that person.

Second, we will not ban or block anyone without just cause, such as repeated violation of guidelines or harassing mods and participants. So far, there have been no issues other than some anon messages. Most folks are happy to simply connect with other fans and create new QuiObi content.

Finally, if you have a personal issue with one of the mods or participants, we expect you to keep that in a personal, non-public space. This is a small fandom, and negative comments travel faster than you might think. The mods will do the same, and we will not let it affect how you feel as a participant. Personal issues should not be a deterrent to contributing to any event you wish.

Thank you to everyone who has been joining in and creating a surge of so much wonderful QuiObi art and fic.
