my favorite detail abt nikis bday party is this is the only time we see cwilbur without people who look up to him - and he's drunk, he's vaping and smoking.

it implies that cwilbur had destructive habits that hid from people like ctubbo & ctommy in his time in pogtopia, it makes me wonder what he did when they weren't around

people misinterpret the standing on a block thing a-lot i feel.

its not about superiority over ctubbo, at least not in the way some people suggest. he doesnt think he’s better than ctubbo, he thinks he NEEDS to be tubbos superior, that thats what tubbo wants from him. its the only way he can be listened to or that he has value. we’ve seen this from all the way back in l’manburg.

we see him struggle with his words and ideas until he’s on a block above, like an actor struggling at an audition but nailing the performance on stage. but at the end of the stream, he gets off his block, literally and metaphorically. he gives tubbo the presidency, gets on equal footing and lays himself bare with an apology. he isn’t expecting acceptance (and he even questions it when he gets it) but he’s letting himself be (mostly) real with tubbo, mr.president to mr.president.

Equals.

because he knows Tubbo will be okay. He knows he can handle it. He’s a good kid and he’ll be the best damn president. He doesn’t need Wilbur, even if he forgave him even if he wants him. Wilbur can leave and he’ll be okay, he knows he will.

"Tubbo?” he kneels down again, not that Tubbo seems to care. He’s hardly even moved. He’s not even talking anymore, just breathing a bit - strange. Deep gasps, like his lungs have been punched in.

It reminds him of sunny October, peering into a concrete box, watching in horror as a firework embeds itself in Tubbo's -

It reminds him of when one of them - Tommy, more often than not, if he’s honest - would jolt themselves awake from nightmares after winning L’Manberg’s independence, phantom blades still seeking blood as they slept, and Wilbur would be tasked with calming them down.

He was never any good at it.

Hold on. i wanna talk about c!tubbo's reaction to c!wilbur's plan that killed c!ranboo. Because a lot of people said he would be angry (based on his reactions in August 3rd 2022 stream etc.) <- but is that what we saw?

I think c!tubbo accepted it. Too fast, too quickly. He has already has all he loved taken from him, why should he be surprised that it would get c!ranboo as well? (On of the first people to leave him or ruin him. Not like that... matters to him.)

And just in the c!wilbur apology stream for c!tubbo.... we didn't see him as pissed off as before. Like hes just accepted that this is who c!wilbur is, and this is what he does. Just as he suspected that c!ranboo shouldn't have teamed up with c!wilbur.

is he mad at both of them? for c!wilbur using c!ranboo? or c!ranboo for choosing to join with c!wilbur, after c!tubbo had warned him
