#Shishaaghar
Zamaana khouf nhi khaata maasumiyt ka dum ghotne me
Pis jata hai insaan bikhre risto ke panne me jodne me
Bikhra shakhsh hr taraf bikhra dil liye firta hai
Shishaaghar bhi mukar gya kambakht tuta dil jodne me

Wonderful Precure First Impressions!
I stayed up until way past my bedtime for the reveal (it was hard, I'm way too much of a morning person for this). I'll go go character by character first:
Cure Wonderful/ Kumogi
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She is indeed a dog! And a cute one, the plushie leaks didn't do her justice. She's Friendy's pet, but i wonder if she's a magical dog that ended up as a pet, our if she's similar too Mofurun i.e. a normal dog that acquired speech/a human mind recently. I love her civilian design, it's really fun and cute, i love the ponytail.
Cure Friendy/ Iroha
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When I first saw the leaks I was afraid that she was going to be too close to Mashiro in terms of personality, and we would have a similar dynamic with the lead than last season, but i was completely wrong! She looks like a pretty extroverted and energetic character! Also i like that she have a pretty different hairstyle than her cure form. She gave her last name to Kumogi, so I'm guessing they'll end up with a sibling like dynamic?
Cure Niammy:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Most likely a white cure with a blue subcolor. Probably my favorite design, she looks like she has a fun personality too, a bit full or herself. She's definitely the white cat Yuki-chan, even if it hasn't been confirmed yet. I'm very curious to see her civilian design too!
Cure Lillian:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Obviously she's Mayu. She look maybe a little bit older than Iroha. On the promo pic she's taking pictures of Yuki-chan so I'm expecting her to be the kind of person that is obsessed with taking picture of their pets (she's just like me for real).
Miscellaneous :
Tumblr media
So we have those to character Satoru and Daifuku, and it once again it's pretty obvious who our midseason cure(s) will be. I'm expecting Satoru to have a similar supportive role to Ageha in the early episodes and to become a cure on his own later. Like Toei is going to pass the occasion to make a bunny themed character/mascot! And his outfit is suspiciously color themed (There's a quote on Cure Soleil's Wiki page where that says that yellow/orange cures are bit more free to be experimental than the pink and purple who have to be more marketable, so I think that's why he'll have a similar color to Wing). His design instantly reminded me of Yukito from Card Captor Sakura, and apparently the character designers does a lot of Clamp fanart that might actually be an inspiration.
The kirarin animals are the other mascot that will be included in this year tamagochi like toy. I'm expecting them to have a similar role to the star princesses or the elements spirits and that they will give the cures specific powers to collect as they rescue them etc.
About the merchandise it seems that we're getting different transformation item/wand for each pairs (RIP to the collectors wallet), so no hope to find the Mid season cure there, it's probably absent from the mirror pad update, just like majesty was, so it seems that they're hiding them well... The wonderful pact is really pretty I love how shiny it is!
Tumblr media
There seems to be a lot of women in the staff this year which is really cool to see!
I think the season looks super adorable, and i can't wait for it to start!

Mayuri final arc idea
With the hints that Kubo might be ready to press ahead with the new Hell arc, I started thinking about how Mayuri's arc could be concluded in a satisfying way, this is just an idea I had, I tried to make it feel in character in some way.
I really liked the religious imagery surrounding Mayuri and his Zanpakuto and I'd love for Mayuri's final arc to have Buddhist themes. The point of Buddhism is to reach enlightenment which is achieved through spiritual growth made in each reincarnated life.
I've always liked the idea that despite Mayuri's intellect and ability, he seems very spiritually underdeveloped, immature even, which you could say is represented by his Zanpakuto being a literal baby. When I say underdeveloped I mean that Mayuri indulges in basically every sin imagineable and appears to hold no remourse. Pride, Envy, Wrath, Lust, Greed, etc.
I do like to think that post TYBW Mayuri developed and has become more spiritually mature, there's signs that he treats the new Nemuri with more kindness, but he's still envious of Kisuke, wrathful when his pride is wounded etc. Not much growth, but enough.
What if some time after the events of the TYBW it's a poorly kept secret around Soul Society that Mayuri's zanpakuto has stopped obeying him. It won't enter Bankai let alone Shikai form.
The reason is that Mayuri is at odds with himself and this is manifesting in his zanpakuto rebelling. It is also the end result of years of abusing his zanpakuto, mutilating it, destroying it, etc, and this is just a reflection of how he has mutilated/abused his own soul. He gets by just fine without it, for the most part there's been no need for him to draw his sword, and his talents + skills lie mostly in his genius and inventions. Quietly however he's disturbed by this development, he can't force his zanpakuto to obey him like he used to, and he's too wary of introspection to deal with the core of the issue- his inner conflict.
This started shortly after he created the latest Nemuri. The conflict is one of conscience, specifically that he is (begrudgingly) developing one. He has spent years building his identity as a man without conscience, without morals, which he legitimised by the literal mutilation of his soul (his modifications to the otherwise beneveloent nature of his Zanpakuto), but now as he raises his new daughter with more wisdom and conscience, he finds himself at odds with that uncaring facade.
I haven't considered exactly what will happen in the main body of the arc, but I imagine that in the end, Mayuri will die, and he will do so protecting Nemuri. This will be a clear sign that he has reached a new level of spiritual growth, he chose his conscience over the uncaring facade and sacrificed himself for her sake. As he dies, he watches Nemuri with unimaginable joy as she wields his zanpakuto to kill the foe that got him. The fact that Ashisogi Jizo responds to her means she has become a fully realised soul and his creation has reached a triumphant milestone.
Ashisogi Jizo when wielded by Nemuri takes on an entirely new form, it no longer has any of the modifications Mayuri had made, it emerges in it's original form, how it should've been all along had it not been made monsterous. It is now divine. A symbol of the spiritual growth made. Mayuri dies happy.
In the epilogue it's implied that captain Nemuri intends to carry on Mayuri's work to make souls, quoting her father about how "Nothing is ever perfect, there is always room to improve."
She intends to create a new soul, and this soul will be Mayuri. This becomes her life's work, stating that she will not rest until she returns the zanpakuto to its original master. Some years down the line, Captain Nemuri can be seen walking alongside her ill-mannered and eccentric Lieutenant, Mayu. He doesn't remember who he once was, but Nemuri waits patiently for him to one day return to himself, only this time round he'll be more spiritually mature.
They become literal manifestation of reincarnation, and the struggle to enlightenment. Nemuri is a soul created by Mayuri and so is an extension of his own soul, so any soul Nemuri creates will also have his soul within it, and vice-versa.
So long as one lives the other will continue to exist. Each time they're reborn they become more spiritually mature/powerful.

Roses are red, violets are blue, Naoto loves books, what about you?
Rank 3, or WHAT IS LOVE BABY DON'T HURT ME DON'T HURT ME NO MORE
Naoto found a card in her shoe locker. Yippie!
There are three choices as per usual, none of them really matter in terms of insight. Picking the first option ("A challenge for a duel?") is the best choice, though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, I guess this kinda provides something.
Naoto has a soft spot for corny, old-fashioned things like that, and it makes sense since she grew up reading and watching extremely old detective/mystery/crime novels, perhaps even.... gentleman thief novels. Everyone knows of a good showdown between a detective and a thief, and Naoto is no exception. Considering how Naoto was charmed by suggestion that someone was challenging her to a duel, it wouldn't come off as a surprise if she was enamored with the idea of facing off against a phantom thief as a kid. Perhaps Yu saying this temporarily stirred that childish (wink) memory.
(By this point, the official challenge hasn't been sent yet.)
Naoto once again flexes her Big Brain Academy skills and provides more clues about the card in her shoe locker. It's from a hopelessly smitten girl. The anime shows us the letter, but I cannot read the bottom kanji because I am stupid and I didn't study enough Japanese.
Tumblr media
However, it looks like Naoto was addressed as "Shirogane Naoto-sama", the girl is from Class 1-3, which is different with Naoto being in 1-1, and according to the hiragana, the girl's first name might be Mayu. (This is not important. I like Naoto so much I share completely irrelevant bullshit.)
She has different things to say for the dialogue choices but I will bunch the first and third one together. The second one is one of the many opportunities to piss her off.
Tumblr media
This is what she says for the first and third choices.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first one goes into what she talks about like... right after these choices, but she states here that even if she were to read these love letters, there's nothing she can do. She's obviously not interested and whether she rejects them in person or not doesn't matter because the end result will be the same. She's not going to take anyone out on a date. The third one reveals the most brutal part of Naoto lore. She shreds all of the love letters she's been given and never reads a single one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Naoto pulls out a nice word for your to look up in your dictionary. Callow means, and I quote from google "adjective, (of a young person) inexperienced and immature".
This highlights that she's so obsessed with work. Again. Like if we didn't get that point already.
But more importantly, it shows that Naoto doesn't buy into cheap declarations of love. She needs to know someone before she could begin to have a crush, and I don't mean 'we know each other because we're coffee shop regulars'. I mean, actually know them.
Naoto gets a lot of these letters and she has a lot of fans, who only see the side of Naoto she wants them to see, the Detective Prince. The Detective Prince is perfect, everything Naoto is not. When they write the love letters or profess their love, they only love the idea of her, or the Detective Prince, not Naoto Shirogane.
This is a headcanon, but I think Naoto does the same with the team, Yu being an exception-ish, as in showing a side of her she thinks they want to see. They know some of her flaws, her insecurities, but she presents a side they'd rather see, one she thinks is easier for them to digest and pretend that's all there is to her—she's going to leave in a few months anyway, what's the point?
And... they might be lying about wanting her around... Getting Naoto to open up about anything is difficult so lol.
Just as soon as Naoto realizes she shared too much, she changes the subject and wants to talk about murders. Yippie!
Now, I would stop here but I am a Naoto connoisseur.
Let's talk about a scene from her Social Link that was cut. There's nothing of value in it, but it exists. This presumably would only trigger when it was raining. She left her umbrella in the classroom, and you are presented with a choice.
Tumblr media
If you pick the second, the scene would mostly play out the same as the rank we got, except they're standing outside.
The best choice is when you share with Naoto, and remove the need for her to jog back to her classroom to retrieve it.
The closest you could get to "sharing" an umbrella with Naoto scene that I can recall is in that scene where Yosuke rudely and annoyingly barges under your umbrella. Kanji is also there, and in the end you're forced to go with Yosuke under your umbrella. But now, you don't have to deal with either of these two nuisances to ruin the moment.
Tumblr media
Perfect.
Tumblr media
What does she mean by this???
Probably that she hasn't shared an umbrella with her grandfather or Yakushiji in a while. Don't be silly.
Interestingly, you would get three music notes from this. Make of that what you will.

one totally unserious thing that mayuzumi and reo would disagree on if they lived together is crockery. reo would love gorgeous little matching teacups with pretty designs on them. like they would find that perfect. mayu, on the other hand, owns the stupidest mugs literally because he thinks it’s so funny. i mean mugs with stupid quotes on them that he would buy 100% ironically and find hilarious. reo would not share the same sentiment 💀

"What in the world is evil?" Discussion on the personal responsibility of the evillious "contractors" - Gammon’s take - (2)
Disclaimer: you can read the chapters I'm referring to on the underlined links.
Now, let’s look at Nemesis, another “involuntary contractor” in the series, this time with Seth Twiright. You can read about Seth’s conversation with the protagonist about the contract in the “muzzle of Nemesis” novel, specifically in the twelfth scene of the third chapter.
Now, I want to say that her case is indeed a special case, compared to the other contractors’, and that would be not because she is an “involuntary contractor”, like Riliane, but because Nemesis is also (and foremost) a natural “her”.
In fact, throughout the “muzzle of Nemesis” novel, Nemesis sometimes reports hearing of something she calls “another me” or “her own voice” that encourages her to commit violent acts (look in this scene for example)
In her delusion, Levia Barisol comments that those auditory hallucinations are themselves symptoms of “hers”. You can read about that in the 9th scene of the third chapter of the same novel.
Interestingly, a similar dynamic is presented in the “bloodstained switch” song with the unknown Mayu-coded patient that is under Levia’s supervision.
The one who pressed the switch,
it wasn’t me.
The one who pressed the switch,
it was another me. (“bloodstained switch”).
Now, here comes something interesting: the “other me” Nemesis mentions uses a particular speech pattern…
“Give over to it.
To the feelings inside you
And–destroy everything.”
I had meant to scream that at the “other me” who had been speaking [...] (“muzzle of nemesis”, 3–memory of the four seasons; scene 8).
That’s the same exact formula as the one the series’ demons (except for Seth) use, thus reinforcing the idea that contractors and natural hers are hers all the same (as you can read in the prologue of the lunacy of the duke Venomania).
An objection to this would be: what if it’s Seth tempting and speaking to her as a demon?
No, the novel makes clear that the “other me” Nemesis speaks about is her own voice. That’s the “hers” of the false goddess.
There was no mistaking it.
That was none other than my own voice.
(“muzzle of nemesis”, 2-memory of the forest; scene 6).
You can read about that in the first scene of the 6th chapter as well, in which Levia’s “hers” (which is also Nemesis’ “hers”) exhorts the woman to destroy the “third period”, as we already know that the “will of a ‘her’” is the “annihilation of the gods” and the “destruction of the world;
I’ve quoted this many times, you can read that in the “recollection h” of the “fifth pierrot” novel.
Moreover, getting back to the counterarguments to the aforementioned objection…when Seth speaks to Nemesis, his voice is recognized as different from the one of “other me” that frequently pops up in the novel.
“…Are you mr. ziz?”
And then I heard a voice speak directly into my mind.
It wasn’t the “other me” I would usually hear. It belonged to the same man as before. (“muzzle of nemesis”, 3–memory of the four seasons; scene 12).
What makes Nemesis different from Cherubim, Banica and Riliane is the fact she’s hardly influenced by the “demon” she involuntarily contracts within the novel.
The only instances in which he does so is when he encourages her to live after attempting suicide upon Nyoze’s death;
“—I…wanted to die. Along with Shakuson. I would probably just try to do so again.”
“Are you really fine with that? Living while set adrift by the people around you only to helplessly give up and run away from this world—if you died now, that would be the sum total of your life. Isn’t that wretched? Don’t you have any regrets!”
[...]
“Nemesis…the weak you is the one who died just now. From this moment on will be your true life.” (“muzzle of nemesis”, 5–memory of flames; scene 2).
or when he suggests to the girl a proposal of a chance of “atonement” to Gallerian, in this scene.
Time after time in the novel, we can see how Levia’s “hers” influences Nemesis by fueling her negative feelings, just like the evillious “demons” do to the other “contractors.
In particular, we see that in her last encounter with Nyoze: the girl feels betrayed by him because she comes to understand that he originally approached him so that he could get close to the organization he was fighting against: the “dark star bureau”.
Moreover, Nemesis also feels betrayed by “master”: the one who would commission her to kill, having discovered from Nyoze his identity as her father.
After that, the girl gets completely overwhelmed by her distrust and disappointment towards the world and points the gun at Nyoze.
And…it is in that moment that the “hers” (part in red) kicks in, fueling the girl’s feelings, inciting her to destroy everything.
“Ha–ha ha ha…enough!” I screamed, unable to hold in my feelings. “Every last one of them, they’re all garbage! Nikolay, Bruno, Gallerian–and you too!”
I once more pointed the gun I had lowered at Shakuson.
“Everyone…everyone should die!”
That’s exactly right.
Give over to it.
To the feelings inside you
And–destroy everything. (“muzzle of nemesis”, 3–memory of the four seasons; scene 8).
Another instance (a very remarkable instance at that) in which Nemesis’ hers fuels on the girl’s despair and disappointment over the world is the crucial moment she accepts the firstmost betrayal: her mother abandoning her after she was born, ordering Nikolai to kill her as soon as he could.
Said “hers” fuels the girl’s despair to destroy the evillious world.
–Poor Nemesis.
Continuously betrayed by those you believed in.
Unable to make anyone happy no matter how hard you tried.
You aren’t to blame.
The one at fault is–
This very world itself.
.
So you need to purify everything.
Destroy it all.  (“muzzle of nemesis”, 6–memory of mother; scene 1).
So, now you can see how Nemesis is different from Cherubim, Banica, and Riliane. In the series, Nemesis Sudou is not influenced by the “demon” she involuntarily contracts with (almost) at all.
She is under her “natural hers” influence though, but said “hers” doesn’t ‘make her do anything or transform the character without or against her will. Similar to the other cases we saw in the last part, Nemesis's natural “hers” in the series fuels the character's already preexistent despair and negative feelings.
In this instance too, Gammon proves himself to be correct: “hers” and “demons” in the series can’t do anything if the contractor doesn’t give a solid base to fuel on.

Fun Writing Fact from me: you will know when I finish my first / any draft of a long story, because I will start quoting Byakumu no Mayu ~Ricordando il passato~ because I love that song and because the (Italian) lyrics mesh with my writing attitudes very well.
