Okay, hear me out: Sam tells Tara to stay away from an obvious trap but (of course) her little sister has to disobey her and follows Sam. Ghostface is already fighting Sam and oh hell, they underestimated the strength of this woman and she's overpowering them. Ghostface 2 sees Tara and attacks her, instead of challenging Sam who's stabbing their partner in crime right now. What's physical pain compared to emotional damage anyway? So, the second Ghostface runs up to Tara who desperatly tries to fight them, screaming Sam's name and regretting her stupid and reckless decision. Ghostface raises their knife and wants to end the younger sister's life but Sam prevents it and gets hurt in the end. She lies there, bleeds out and begs Ghostface to leave her sister alone. They aren't even interested in the daughter of an alcoholic, right? Ghostface 2 was hurt as well, bc Sam didn't went down without one hell of a fight but starts mocking the poor weakling who tries to stop the blood flow with her tiny hands. Sam's breathing gets weaker and she's begging Tara to run. No. Sam is Tara's hero, her role model, she would never leave her dying sister behind and oh, the villain's laughter is so taunting...it makes her angry. She promises Sam that everything will be alright and jumps onto Ghostface. She has the element of surprise on her side and snatches the knife from Ghostface's hand. She starts stabbing. Again and again and again and again and again and again and- "Tara", Sam whispers and reaches out with her trembling hand to stop her sister who is covered in blood. The face of their opponent is destroyed beyond recognition. Sam doesn't know if she's proud or afraid of Tara. Sorry if I made any mistakes. English is not my native language. Love your blog!

Sam walking herself into an obvious trap and demanding Tara doesn't follow her, well of course she wouldn't listen to her!

And oh the pain, Sam was winning until Tara's presence became a distraction, but of course without that distraction, she would have never known there was a second Ghostface waiting to strike her.

Ghostface 2 knows just where to make it hurt, so they tell Sam to choose, she can finish off her Ghostface, or she can save her sister. Sam of course, chooses her sister, taking the knife that was meant for Tara. (Thrown knife (attempted) kill, I think would be so appropriate).

So Sam's on the floor, knife in her back, and Tara's crouched over her, hands around the knife, apologising, telling her she can't die, begging her to be ok. And the first Ghostface is getting closer, the second stands still, laughing, and Sam is telling her to run, telling her she has to go.

But Tara's not going anywhere.

She listens to the mocking laughter from the back of the room, watches the way the other steps up to her. They draw back their arm, and Tara pounces.

It takes them by surprise.

Tara's able to knock the knife from their hand, to grab it from the floor, to bring it down into their neck.

The other Ghostface isn't laughing any more.

They run at Tara, roaring, and Sam is terrified. They're so much bigger than her sister, but Tara doesn't move, she just stays crouched on the floor, knife in hand.

They collide, and Sam is helpless to do anything but watch.

But Tara is the one with a weapon. Ghostface's sits nestled in Sam's back, worryingly close to her spine.

Ghostface wraps their hands around Tara's throat, but she slashes out again and again, stabbing and stabbing until they let go. They roll over and Tara keeps bringing it back down, again and again.

She can't hear Sam calling her name.

I ACTUALLY HAVE MORE THAN BREADCRUMBS......heres some backstory some lore its incomplete but yeah take what i have :)

COMPREHENSIVE ANDROID AU

Cars and Drivers essentially have a symbiotic relationship, the cars have been designed to require an android pilot, with their power units/batteries being linked into one another. While traditional safety concerns are not something to worry about, this link between the electronics of the car and the driver means that malfunctions and damage to the car can result in technical damage to the driver. For example, if the car's own power systems begin failing, it may begin leech too much power from its driver, spreading battery life too thinly and causing shutdown for them both. Plugging into the car essentially puts the driver into a hyper-powered state, the car becoming an extension of their body.

Drivers can accrue damage of course, and like with cars there is a limited amount of replacement parts allowed each season, with penalties being doled out if breached.

F100 models are the standard approved android for F1 Racing, replacing the previous F01 models in 2015. The androids themselves are developed by independent manufacturers, each offering specific strengths, focuses, and technologies- teams themselves are forbidden from android manufacturing, ensuring that there is still competition and markets for drivers. The main challenge for teams is to develop cars and software, and then finding android drivers most compatible with their teams systems.

When a team secures a driver, they are fitted with a new head component that visually denotes them as part of that team and also holds/runs any team specific programming, and is responsible for the main compatibility with the car. Android drivers physically cannot pilot other teams cars unless the corresponding head unit is installed.

Androids hold little personal autonomy in this world, and typically have lives very controlled by their teams, as they are as much of an asset as the cars. This may vary depending on manufacturer and team attitude/culture, with some allowing for more freedom of expression and relative "personhood" of their android drivers, but undoubtedly still will maintain a great deal of control.

LETS GET INTO THE DRIVERSSS

Charles: F100-R18 Model by Leclerc Engineering, running CL16 / A charming and quick model, it is rumored that his core programming, processing, and body itself were secretly developed by Ferrari associates rather than fully by an independent manufacturer. This has led to a bit of drama surrounding him, with people questioning the team's involvement in building an android from scratch specifically to drive their cars, but his success has not been dominant enough for people to make too much of a fuss. There has been very little data showing if Charles is compatible with non-ferrari tech, one of the few things that would disprove the rumors around him, but the team shows no signs of trying to part with him any time soon.

Carlos: F100-R15 Model by Sainz Company running CS55 / A unique model of the F100, developed off of the Sainz Company's highly successful RA7-CS model, developed for Rally driving. The RA7 was re-engineered to match specs of the standard F100, while retaining durability and adaptability aspects the RA7 was made famous for. A unique model on the track, he has faced constant skepticism for not being as well optimized.

Lance: F100-R17 Model by Lawrence Stroll, running LS18 / In contrast to other racing androids, Lance was developed with many components more traditional to companion androids, and is treated like a son by his developer, Lawrence Stroll. When not driving, Lance lives a very human life, and is the apple of his creator's eye, garnering them both criticism over Lance's belonging in such a cutthroat sport. He also faces similar scrutiny to Charles, in that Stroll owns the racing team, as well as individually developing driving androids. He continues to state that Lance was developed first as a son, only second as a racing driver, and his model has shown compatibility with other teams cars.

Fernando: F01-R02.WDC Model by FA Alonso Kart & Sports, running FA14 / An otherwise defunct model, Fernando is still running despite it all. New softwares that he should not be compatible with, upgraded parts that should not fit, he somehow manages to make work, and deliver consistent results.

This can be credited to a massive electronic overload during a crash in 2015, in which he suffered a complete system malfunction. He appeared to just need a reboot and recalibration, but the incident unknowingly released previously encrypted team information into Fernando's memory and bypassed/disarmed a number of obsolescence measures that had been placed on his model, allowing his internal AI and adaptive systems to essentially run free.

Logan: F100-R23 Model by Sergeant Manufacturing, running LS2 / The only American made model on the grid, which has faced some scrutiny, as the crossover from American motorsports to International has not yet been the smoothest. A very new and untested model as well, approved for F1 in 2023, he has not proven to be the most compatible with the current Williams car, frequently facing technical issues.

Oscar: F100-R23 Model by Webber Technologies, running OP81 / Oscar's model was developed under the Australian manufacturer Webber Technologies, basing his internal systems off their previously successful F01-R02. He faced controversy when entering the Mclaren team, as Webber Technologies had a long term testing deal with Alpine while developing their F100 and his accompanying OP81 programming. While it is insisted that procedures were properly followed when erasing proprietary Alpine information from the OP81 program, some are suspicious due to his high level of success upon entering the Mclaren. Some theorize something else entirely, that Webber had been secretly testing Mclaren software in the OP81 system for much longer than anticipated, and optimizing the android for their car specifically prior to signing.

Roxanne's AUs

RA1: Cyberpunk AU

Forced to use her paycheck to buy augments, Roxanne clings desperately to her job in law enforcement. She now serves in the Va1kryie task force, a sub-department specifically made for the few officers that were still mostly flesh and blood. Her uniform armors her human weaknesses, while proudly displaying her new cybernetic enhancements. A walking advertisement for the mega corporation that she is now teetered to. Roxy so desperately wants to help the citizens around her but feels bound by the invisible hand that influences her agency. A puppet on strings.

RA2: Vampire AU

Originally a simple human vampire hunter, there was nothing worse than the day Roxanne was turned. Exiled from the hunter’s guild, she still works diligently as a vampire hunter. Even if now her prey feels the need to call her a traitor to her kind. Marred with self loathing, Roxanne works to rid the world of every vampire she can find, on a war path to find the monster that turned her in the first place.

RA3: Zombie AU

Roxanne is in the airport, just arriving home from vacation when the zombie outbreak hits. It's a frenzy, the woman able to fight her way through the madness to recover her belongings. Eventually holing up in the command tower, sending out texts messages to her loved ones to try to meet her at the airport if they're alive. Roxanne bunkers down, staying in the area in hopes someone will meet her there. She sometimes wanders off site, in search of parts to try to fix one of the planes. Dead set on trying to escape to somewhere that might be safe.

RA4: DND AU

A paladin of noble blood. Her family takes grand pride in protecting the throne, employed in elite task forces that work from the shadows. While her mother may have flourished this way, Roxanne is a simpler creature. Preferring to serve in the light as the King's Royal Guard. Hardwork and obedience earns her promotion after promotion. Serving basically as his right hand with only one downfall. The paladin's fixation to her king is nearing the same levels as her devotion to her god.

RA5: Beast Queen AU

Queens Era: Queened at the age of 19 and baptized in the blood of those unfortunate enough to try to invade her kingdom on her coronation night. Roxanne developed a reputation as Tasan’s Beast Queen. With sharpened teeth and cat like reflexes, she lead her army to victory in countless battles. All international trade ventures must first be screened underneath her sharp eyes before being allowed entry to the nation’s river system. The queen lives in luxury within her castle walls, only emerging for battles or holidays. The townsfolk know little about their queen beyond her strength and dedication to the protection of Tasan’s interests. 

Princes’ Era: As Tasan is brought into an era of stability and peace, Roxanne has begun the expansion of her bloodline. Within the first three years of peace, she’s given birth to twin boys. Kai and Leo Fury. As soon as they are capable, she trains them in the art of combat and gifts them with weapons from her prior campaigns. The boys must now train in the arts of combat and diplomacy, preparing to jointly rule the kingdom when their mother steps down. 

RA6: Hogwarts AU

Quidditch Chaser and aspiring Prefect. Roxanne is excruciating to be around sometimes. A try hard and a teacher's pet, she follows every school rule to a tee with little wiggle room. Although some people think the only reason she's like that is due to her uncle being one of the professor's on campus.

RA7: Gladiator AU

Captured at a young age, Roxanne is taken from her home in Carthage and dragged to Rome's coliseum. Her event is the beast hunt, the Romans taking malicious joy in the irony of making a girl kill animals that once lived in her homeland. Hot tempered and sharp, they often compare her to the clawed beasts themselves. The Carthage Lioness. She entertains the disgusting crowd, well aware that if they bore of her beast hunts they may put her in one of the other events.

RA8: Mafia AU

After the death of her partner in a drive by shooting, Roxy goes undercover as an arms dealer to try to figure out who did it. However after years of being so deep undercover, the police department is beginning to worry that she's forgotten where her allegiances are supposed to lie.

RA9: Genie AU

Imprisoned for several millennium. Roxanne's had many masters in her life time and cannot remember a time when she wasn't an all magical wish granter.

Tara's smile burns.

It boils away words, it bubbles in her chest. It's seared into her eyelids so she can never forget it. Sam hopes she never forgets it.

The day her sister was born is cauterised into her brain. It was the middle of December and the sun had been blinding that day, much like the sight of her newborn baby sister in her mother's arms.

Sam will never forget the moment her father handed her the baby. Tara was so small, so warm. Sam knew she was holding something precious, something worth loving, protecting, worshipping.

It felt like her life had finally begun.

The day Sam was born it was wet, the man who used to be her father had told her. He'd nearly crashed the car on the way to the hospital, he had said, laughing. Sam had never understood the joke.

It had stormed that night, and continued to do so for days afterwards. Their little stormcloud, they would call her.

My sunshine, she would call Tara.

There was an endless supply of black cloud in their home that would follow Sam around. Suffocating. Choking. Seeping into her skin and her bones.

But Tara’s smile would never fail to pierce through it and straight into her heart, to burn the mists away. Every moment with her was like a sunny day, filled with warmth and love and hope. Every moment alone was just another cloudy rain-soaked day, dreary and dangerous.

It was like she was destined to only drive cars off the road, born to lead travellers to their deaths. To block out the sun.

How do you worship something you can only drown?

By leaving.
