"Nobody Knows My Name" – Crunk Feminist Rachel Raimist's first Hip Hop Documentary from 1999 As Beyonce gears up for the monumental world tour for the new album titled Renaissance, where she is expected to make "north of $500 million" from tickets sales alone, and Ticketmaster greedily anticipates the revenue from their "dynamic pricing" scheme, I want to share this post about a little known Hip Hop documentary about women, gender, and power in Hip Hop from Rachel Raimist released in 1999, Nobody Know's My Name. — Read the rest https://boingboing.net/2023/02/05/nobody-knows-my-name-crunk-feminist-rachel-raimists-first-hip-hop-documentary-from-1999.html

Note
Maria and Heather have been killing it this season! I know tv directors don't have as much power to change narrative as maybe movie directors do, but are there any moments in 3x07 that stood out to you as Heather going above and beyond, really capturing something amazing as a director? An amazing shot, great work from actors, etc? What should we be praising her for in your opinion?
The long shots of Rosa! Omg. Like this is 100% my own bias coming out, but those long sweeping shots of Rosa as she was listening for the alien glass are amazing. This one in particular was just incredible--the camera sweeping around her and then her turning...literally caught my breath watching that the first time.
But I also have to give snaps to Rachel Raimist in 3x06 too because Rosa's ability is not necessarily one that's easy to translate onto screen and both directors did incredible jobs with it.
