we dont need body positivity we need body neutrality we dont need “gender instead of gender roles” we need the abolition of both we dont need “ethical porn websites” we need the eradication of porn altogether we dont need sex work legalised we need more options systematically in place for disadvantaged abused women we dont need cosmetic plastic surgery to be de stigmatised we need to normalise natural female features we dont need “race/sexuality blind feminism” we need intersectional feminism that recognises the different needs and traumas of woc and gay women

people who believe in gender ideology,  people who watch porn, people who buy sex, people who support prostitution, and incels all share something fundamental in their worldview and that is the idea that “women” are mostly young, hyper-feminine, and obsessed with having sex with men. this is a caricature.

Today in my ethical issues class (it's the first day of class) one of the questions up for debate was "Is it ethical to purchase sex work?"
The first to raise a hand was a guy in the back who basically said "I think it's unethical to do that to yourself as a man, speaking only in terms of men and women, because as a man you don't NEED sex every time you have the desire for it- sex is about human intimacy and emotions, and going so far as to waste your financial resources to buy sex from a stranger is degrading to your self worth." (I paraphrased what he said). Then I was allowed to give a well rounded and to-the-point spiel on why it was impossible for SW to be ethical for all of our usual radfem reasons, and was met with agreement from the full class. There were a few reasonable questions about purchasing people's "work" and "supporting their work" and how that plays into that, especially with the rise of OF, but in the end the entire class seemed satisfied with my explanations for everything (for my Americans, this is a 2000-level ethics class-intro stuff). Most of the students are taking it for their ethics requirement, and they're all like 18-20 years old. The professor is a gay/bisexual man who offered an explanation of why people might have sex for reasons outside of Deep Emotional Intimacy (like gay men only being able to fleetingly meet in secret and express themselves, etc).
Overall, it just filled me with a lot of hope to see so many young people readily accept what is to us something that is rather obvious, like they found it intuitive, despite growing up in our p0rnified culture and being exposed to it as children like all of us were. It also made me realize that we aren't crazy, like, we know all of this "sex work is work!" stuff is just Orwellian mantras being shoved down our throats, because we KNOW the degrading words used for p0rn stars and other "workers", and the only people who want to buy any of that are people (m*n lmao) who hate women. You have to hate women, fundamentally I think, to have a genuine desire to purchase "sex work". You know what it is, I know what it is- we all know what it is. A room full of young adults at a liberal college knows what it is, even the male ones. The "sex work" industry would die without the hatred of women.

the “psycho and silence of the lambs are transphobic” rhetoric is so funny to me bc like… no one said those characters were trans… so many serial killers (who are all male, no aileen wuornos doesn’t count) have dressed up in women’s clothing either for sexual pleasure/fetishism or to disguise themselves and get closer to women including robert durst, jerry brudos, dennis rader (btk), russell williams, ed gein (who is the “originator” of the “trope” but i actually find the least convincing as an obvious fetishist like the others). like it’s a real thing, it’s not made up, stop lying lmao. and it’s bc of porn addiction ok bye

Presenting: The Radical Feminist E-Library
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hey y'all I'm Ladie, and for the past year I've been collecting PDF and EPUB copies of feminist literature in my digital library.
I have well over a thousand copies of radical feminist texts and obscure, vintage feminist literature from the second wave. I have books covering a wide array of feminist and political subjects.
From black feminism, to lesbian feminism and lesbian history, to books documenting the sex industry, to women's history, and much more!
Link to the library is here
I have a few other libraries including one of radical feminist literature translated into 10+ other languages.
Additional radfem resources can be found here. Please share these links far and wide! Link them in your bios, they are meant to be shared publicly.
If you have any book or file requests, respond to this post, send me a DM or anon on here or twitter. Please don't be shy to ask for any books! If a PDF of it exists, I can probably get it.
Also, send me a personal DM if you want access to radfem audiobooks. Link is not shared publicly.
You can also follow me over on twitter at the same username.

It is within every woman's interest that separatism exists the same way it is within every woman's interest that divorce and abortion laws exist--even if you plan to marry a man and have children with him, divorce and abortion laws still serve you because they give you an extra layer of protection and security in the relationship.
You can enter your marriage and motherhood knowing that you're not forced to be there; you can enter them knowing that if your husband ever hurts you, you can leave him. If your pregnancy ever risks your life, you can terminate it.
This not only gives you a peace of mind, but it also transforms the attitude men have toward marriage and children. Indeed, abuse is most rampant in places where women cannot divorce or terminate pregnancies because men know there's little risk for committing abuse (she can't leave him) and high reward (she has to bear his children). Of course, abuse still happens in places with divorce and abortion laws--but it's less rampant.
Likewise, the existence of female separatism acts as insurance to het-partnered women. Even if you never need to make use of your insurance, the fact that it exists gives you the confidence to know that you never have to depend on a man--if you want a female doctor, electrician, mechanic, lawyer, etc, you will always be able to easily find one (assuming female separatism is possible in your society). And if things go wrong in your relationship, you will be more able to leave the relationship without fear of severe social or financial repercussion.
Indeed, the existence of female separatism would imply that women have gained enough control of resources in a society to live comfortably without ever having to interact with a man. It then follows that a woman in this society would not face severe social and financial repercussion for leaving a relationship with a man. The existence of female separatism also alerts men that the risk of committing abuse is even higher than before, ultimately lowering the chance of abuse to take place.
When I see women mock female separatism because they plan to partner with men, I think of those women who mock no-fault divorce and abortion laws because they planned to stay married and have children.
You can be an ally to female separatism without being a female separatist. You can recognize how you benefit from having a safety net without ever having to actually use it. The core principle of female separatism ultimately benefits all women, including those who will never be separatists.

can't believe the globe just took a real living teenage girl who was murdered by the English state for her nonconformity (being a 'witch' and wearing men's clothes to avoid being raped)...
a woman who spoke French so could not use a gender neutral third person pronoun even if she wanted to (which she didn't)...
a woman who is sacred to millions across the world, including many Catholic women who have few other role models...
a woman who was a powerful figurehead for early feminist movements as a symbol of female militancy.....
and some worm has decided that because she wore trousers (to play a leadership role in war against another state, the state that killed her, and, again, to avoid being raped)... because she had short hair... she couldn't be a woman???
The fucking gall! The absolute bare faced misogyny!
Giving her weird fetishised sex dysphoria or whatever with the horrific poster of her bound breasts as if her real suffering caused by extreme male supremacy in her society and in England were not compelling enough!
And people lap it up, saying that this is a sign of progress or that gender bending characters is good... as if the globe didn't ban women from it's stage for decades. As if taking a female historical figure and saying she was actually nonbinary is just the same as taking a male role from a male dominated play and having a woman play Hamlet... disgraceful

“what’s a female?” “what’s a male?” well, what does afab and amab mean? what’s the biological difference between a transman and a transwoman? who is “transmisogyny affected”, and who isnt? what’s the difference between the surgeries that transwomen get and the surgeries that transmen get? who can be a transman? who can be a transwoman, and who can’t?
stop acting stupid, you all already know the answer

i don’t think a man can ever want a child in the way a woman can. when a man wants a child, it only requires sex and someone else’s womb. it is a momentary action for him. but when a woman wants a child, she is willing to go through months of anguish, to go through one of the most gruesome possible feats the human body is capable of. she knows there is a not insignificant risk to her life. that is not a level on which men can contend. i have a bit of a hard time taking men who say they really want children seriously for this reason.
i don’t say this as some sort of womb worship or in an attempt to mysticize pregnancy. i especially don’t say this to suggest women should want children. (to the contrary — pregnancy and childbirth are such extreme things for the body to go through that you have to be a little insane to say you want that.) i say it to emphasize that there is no situation in which it is acceptable for a man to buy a child through the rental of a woman’s body for nine months (not even counting recovery time). (i don’t believe it’s acceptable for women either, but very few turn to surrogacy without having tried to have a child on their own — a slightly different scenario). no one is entitled to a child and no one is entitled to genetic heirs in order to continue their family line. it is revolting.
i’m not saying there are no gay men fit to be parents. of course not. i’m saying they really should think twice about what surrogacy really means before they buy a woman’s body for a year. i think there isn’t enough discussion about surrogacy and the truth is that most men don’t consider how their actions will affect a woman or whether or not they’re acting ethically. we need to talk about surrogacy. we need to start the conversation around it. we need to raise consciousness around this issue which has barely any pushback against it. talk about it!!!
