Raeda hcs because I've been tired/burned out and these hags are a big source of comfort.

•When they dated for the first time, it was Raine who said "I love you" first. It was impulsive/unplanned, and probably during a moment of vulnerability, which made it even worse. They immediately started panicking and apologizing, only for Eda to chuckle and say it back.

•In their post canon relationship, however, it was Eda. Most likely during a cuddle session that made her feel extremely happy and sappy. She reacted similarly to Raine, apologizing and trying to change the subject, and Raine's reaction was simple: they kissed her, said it back, and then went back to their cuddle position, a big smile on their face.

•She cried, ya'll.

•This was something that kept happening during their first few weeks back together, actually. Eda tearing up at Raine's affection. She would get especially emotional when they did something that reminded her of the good parts of their past relationship, because it shows that, despite all the changes, her Rainestorm is still the amazing witch she remembers at their core, and their feelings for her also haven't changed.

•As much as she was happy to be with Raine again, she kinda hated this part. They made her too vulnerable. It felt pretty pathetic to tear up at Raine just... being sweet.

•It eventually stops happening, and until then, Raine makes sure to always reassure her that it's okay to be emotional when it comes to changes, and that they were also nervous and scared about them being together again, they just hid it better than her.

•Spending so much time in a system that forced them to engage on social situations and perform despite their wishes took a lot of energy from Raine, and it left a lasting impact. Sometimes they're talking to someone and they just... stop. They go non-verbal and need to leave the situation out of nervosism and/or social fatigue.

•They hate it. They trained to get better at public speaking while leading the rebellion, and now it feels like they've lost a lot of their progress.

•When this happens, Eda speaks for them and is extremely patient, waiting until they can talk again and looking out for them.

•They can't sleep in complete darkness because Eda might have one of her "curse-dreams" and need to find her elixir late at night, so there's light glyphs in the room.

•One night, the first night they slept together, Raine found her making the light glyphs and questioned it, only for Eda to info-dump about wild magic for a long time. Raine loved every second of it. Not only were they genuinely curious about glyphs, seeing Eda happy as she talks passionetely about magic is just... Titan, they love her so much.

•So yeah, she teaches them glyphs, including all the glyph combos, and they're actually a pretty quick learner.

•These two watching horror movies together is... an interesting idea. Raine hates jumpscares and Eda laughs whenever a character dies in a stupid way.

•They mostly just watch action movies, it's something they have in common.

•Cleaning the house is just an excuse for them to dance around and sing with brooms as their microphones, much to King's suffering.

•Speaking of which, Raine's singing voice is actually really pretty and comforting, and Eda is one of the few people who get to hear it, since they don't sing in public. Girl has privilegies.

•Okay, so I used to be one of the "Raeda wedding real" people, but when you think about it, the demon realm probably interprets relationships differently than us. I like to think that there's less pressure about dating and settling down with someone, and that they're more accepting of polycules, friends with benefits, qprs, and pretty much every "uncoventional" kind of relationships. My point is, they might have a completely different concept of marriage, especially considering it's patriarcal (is that the word?) origins. Relationship labels are complicated in the Demon Realm, at least for humans.

•So, for now, let's just say Eda and Raine are not in a hurry to get married and stuff. They love each other and that's what matters.

•Sometimes the fact that they lost a big part of each other’s lives keeps them up at night, drowning in guilt and sadness.

•Whenever this happens, they get extra clingy, as if the other would dissapear if they let go. They already have physical touch as their primary love language, but when bad thoughts creep on, they have an even harder time keeping their hands off of each other.

•Raine still plays and whistles Raine's Rhasphody/Eda's requiem all the time. Sometimes they just start doing it out of nowhere, and it warms Eda's heart to see how much the composition means to them.

I love Eda's epilogue hairstyle so much because the implications of it being braided/tied back like that are clearly that she has someone doing it for her every day.

The ask I got about my ADHD Eda headcanon analysis got deleted, but I'm here to share it anyways.

Okay so. After Them's the Break Kid came out a lot of people started headcanoning Eda having ADHD and I actually REALLY like and agree with that headcanon. And not because

"Omg she got distracted by fire!!! 🤪"

But because of how we seen her when it comes to school. Now most fans assumed Eda hates studying and learning. Which is fair, since in I was a Teenage Abomination she made it clear she hates school.

HOWEVER, then you remember she literally made a hidden tunnel that can be used to listen to the different classes. Because remember, she WANTED to learn different types of magic.

A lot of her problems with school aren't because it involves learning, it's the school SYSTEM she has problem with.

And in the scene where Luz was teaching Eda and Lilith how to use glyphs, she was using a traditional teaching system with desks and everything. Lilith liked it but Eda did not.

This also led fans to believe that Lilith was just smarter and did better at studying.

But then in the opening of Them's the Break Kid we see the both of them studying. Lilith is using flashcards and assumes Eda is not paying attention because she's playing with her ball.

But it turns out Eda not only knows all the material but knows more than Lilith.

To ME this reads as Eda being a hands on learner, (and possibly even a form of stimming) she learns through action and movement and hates having to sit still to learn like how you're supposed to do in school. And when she's able to learn this way she's actually very smart.

That could also be the reason she acts out so much in school, especially if she already knows a lot of the material being taught.

In fact, this is actually kinda a parallel to Raine. With Raine they were introduced as being smart, and then in Them's the Breaks Kid we learn they are also very powerful with magic but are underestimated because they are a bard.

Meanwhile Eda was introduced as being the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles. And THEN in Them's the Break Kid we learn she is ALSO very smart.

Which is also meant to be a surprise in universe by how Lilith reacted. She didn't expect Eda to be that knowledge on the subject, especially more that HER.

AND she gets distracted by fire. In conclusion, this girl is mentally ill but we already knew that.

I don’t know if anyone's mentioned this before, but Raine's titan badge after the time skip looks a bit different than the others:

They have this red piece of cloth attached to their badge that I haven't seen on anybody else.

Now, theorising time: I think they might be part of the new government, maybe even the president of the Boiling Isles. Hear me out, I have good reasons to believe so (and it's not just because they're my favourite character and I'm biased, shush):

1) As the former head of the Bard Coven, they'd certainly be qualified for the job: Raine has been part of the government before (as much as you can be when you're not the monarch in a monarchy lol) and knows how to lead.

2) They're probably more respected/trusted by the population of the Boiling Isles than most other public figures at this point - working together with the wannabe genocidal former emperor tends to ruin your reputation, so someone who led a rebellion against Belos (and fought against him personally in the final fight, though the question is if anyone except the people who were there knows about that) and has ties to other known rebels aka Eda should be quite well-liked.

3) They have already proven that they're able to make sacrifices for the sake of the whole Isles (for example: risking their own life and that of the woman they love to stop the Day of Unity in Eda's Requiem). Most of the other characters, like Eda and Luz, in comparison, have proven again and again that they would never be able to sacrifice someone they care about - which is an admirable trait, don't get me wrong, but you want a political leader to be able to consider what choices are best for everyone and compromise, if necessary.

4) It would be a great conclusion to their character arc: Raine spent half of their life trying to destroy the coven system from the inside and has witnessed its worst sides first-hand, let them be the one to build something new and better for the future of the Boiling Isled.

So in conclusion: Raine has the potential to be a great president....... as long as nobody forces them to make public speeches regularly.

Them being a member of the government would also explain why they are present when that coven sigil was removed: Why would someone who specialises in Bard magic be needed for something that seems to be based on Healing and Abomination magic? Because they're a representative of the government/the Boiling Isles!

Also...........

Give me power couple Raeda as president of the Boiling Isles and Headmistress of the University of Wild Magic!!

some Raine Whispers headcanons because they're the GREATEST

Raine as a bard teacher at Eda's university:

they refuse to go by Mx. Whispers and insist everyone call them "Raine" ("Mx. Raine" if they must)

once a week they get together with Darius (who is an abomination teacher) and get wine drunk and bitch about being teachers

once they were making out with Eda under the bleachers to feel young again and they got caught by the grudgby team (they were mortified and couldn't look their students in the eyes for days)

Raine as a musician:

invents an instrument that Eda can play with her hook so they can do duets again

makes fun of the BATs for being band kids because they're an orchestra kid and that is obviously WAY better

wholeheartedly believes that every mistake they make while playing is actually just because their nails are too long and they would be able to play perfectly if it weren't for that (okay so this one is just projecting but still)

plays the VIOLA and holds violins in utter contempt (yes i am a violist)

one day Luz tells them she wishes she could play the drums and Raine spends the next two weeks figuring it out (also how to do bard magic on a drum kit) so they can teach Luz

Raine as Raine:

HAS TATTOOS

grows hair long enough for a lil man bun that Eda's obsessed with

RAINE WITH SYNESTHESIA

Raine Stage Fright

I just had an idea earlier today! It hit me like a lightning bolt.

So, Raine is cannon mention to have stage fright.

During the I.F.W.O.T/H.E.C.K it didn't appear they had it . Granted they had a few years experienced in participating in to have anxiety, but Raine did not appear nervous when improvising to fight Eda in front of coven head. So that tell me they developed stage fright after that.

I think in a hoot post it was mention the Hagsquad was meant to have a flashback/drama club episode.

So what if, Raine had a kissing scene with Eda who they had a crush on. They never kissed anyone one before, and the pressure and anxiety to have their first kiss with their crush in front of an audience was too much and they faltered and didn't go through with it. They were unable to continue the performance. (Laughed/booed off stage?)

It scarred the impressionable teenage Raine and everytime they get on stage or stand in front of an audience it just triggers that memory.

Just an idea.

One of my favorite Raeda-related TOH headcanons is that following their break up, Raine accidentally became a famous one-hit wonder with a song they wrote and recorded about their breakup which was why Eda already knew things were okay between the two of them when they reunited in Eda’s Requiem.

Raine, of course, only ever produced the one song before disappearing from the public eye (not that they were really in it to begin with cuz: stage fright) and no one really connected the obscure pop artist from 20 years ago with the new head of the Bard Coven.

I imagine Luz and co find out at some point and hilarity of some sort ensues.

Raine collects soda tabs (self projecting lol) and now every time that Eda or Darius drinks a soda they always take off the tab and give it to them (getting a kiss in return)

- The hexsquad and the adults spend Christmas together.

- They have dinner, Camila made some traditional food and everyone loved it.

- Ed and Em made all the couples kiss by putting mistletoes above them (lumity,raeda,huntlow,gustholomule, aladarius and veesha)

- They did secret Santa, Luz got an Azura sweater, Amity got a little house for Ghost, Gus got a book of illusion spells, Willow got a book about plant life in the human realm, Hunter got a bird plushy and he cried and Darius had to comfort him, Matt got a little helmet for when Steve takes him on rides on his motorcycle, Masha got a tarot cards, Vee got a new sweater it has a fox in the middle, Camila got a 2 new pairs of chancla's and was very happy, Alador got a shirt that says "Just got divorced" and everyone was laughing, Darius got new lotions and shampoo, Ed got a little perch for batrick, Em got a book on how to heal people, Eda got a book on "100 different ways to steal money", Lilith got 3 books on human history, Raine got a shirt that says "I love my wife and my 5 kids" and Steve got a sticker for his motorcycle.
