is ragnarok worth watching? i'm curious bc of that really pretty lady u keep rebloging

alright, short answer: its not like. the best show ive ever seen but its entertaining and fun. also isolde (the pretty lady) is. amazing and indeed very pretty.

long-ish answer (spoiler free): first, i still havent seen the last episode cause i tend to do that if i put off watching something for longer than two days lmao. its gripping though, the shots of the scenery are gorgeous. the main plot revolves around shitty companies destroiying the environment but with like a norse mythology twist to it. i really like the main actor in the role, and his character, which is a big plus. really. i LOVE isolde, and i quite like some other characters. its not diverse enough and i do have an issue with it that i cant. really talk about without spoilers so hmu if u ever watch the first episode or two and wanna talk about it lmao. some storylines are incredibly dumb and need lots of plausible deniability to work and there are scenes that are too dramatic for my taste but they have their charm i guess? there is no character that i cant stand apart from like. the obvious ones (have another issue with the bad guys but again. spoilers). also. isolde IS the best thing about that fucking series.

now that i read it it doesnt sound encouraging but i promise i had fun with it! anyway please lmk what u think about it if you watch it!

I really want Laurits in season 2 to turn to Magne and say very nonchalantly “you’re going to need a bigger hammer” 😂😂

Loki Laufeyjarson
The Trickster, challenges the structure and order of the Gods which is necessary in bringing about needed change. God cursed, manipulator, traitor and sneaky, Loki makes nevertheless left the circle closed by the Gods of Asgard (undoubtedly, due to its resourcefulness in solving certain problems and achieving goals) There are also several sources, indirectly indicating the fiery nature of Loki.
Loki’s origins and role in Norse mythology have been much debated. According to the Prose Edda, written by Snorri Sturluson in the 13th century, Loki is the son of two giants, foster-brother of Odin and brother of Helblindi and Býleistr. (Worth noting, original Norse Loki and Marvel Loki are two absolutely different stories)

The Norns in Norse mythology (or Moirai - in Greek mythology) are female beings who rule the destiny of gods and men. They roughly correspond to other controllers of humans’ destiny.

Their names are Urd, Verdandi and Skuld. They dwell within the Well of Urd beneath Yggdrasil, the great ash tree that stands at the center of the universe and holds the Nine Worlds in its branches and roots. They shape destiny by carving runes into the trunk of the tree, or, in some sagas and poems, by weaving destiny like a web or tapestry.

In Norse mythology Hel (Goddess of the Underworld), Fenrir (wolf) and Jormungand (serpent) are children between Loki and the giantess Angrboda. Learn more about them here
(And yes, there is no Sleipnir here, he was born another interesting way and as for me he doesn’t belong here)

In Norse mythology, Sigyn is a goddess of fidelity and is the wife of Loki. 🐍
Sigyn stays with Loki during his punishment, (He is bound by the guts of his own son, the only fetters that he cannot destroy and the venom of snake drips onto his face) she holds out a bowl to catch the dripping venom. However, when the bowl becomes full she leaves to pour out the venom. As a result, Loki is again described as shaking so violently that the planet shakes, and this process repeats until he breaks free, setting Ragnarök into motion

Last year I decided I wanted to have a Loki themed birthday party for 2020, given I almost share a birthday with fool’s day. The lessons I’ve learned from him are coming into clearer focus this month, as chaos has caused me to reflect more on balance and change.

I won’t be having the birthday party I planned. But then again, when do things ever go quite as we assume, with Loki? x)

I feel hope that there will be new beginnings on the other side of this chaos.

…Helheim Correction Facility wasn’t so bad after all.
Baldr Odinson was imprisoned by mistake, soon he got along with Hel, head of the prison.
He spent his days quite well, reading comics and doing nothing, but as a result he missed the great battle of Ragnarök.

Baldr is going into Asgard to find the survivors and stop the forces of chaos.
