It’s our final Summer broadcast of the year on Omega Radio. It’s been a very busy 13 weeks for us in-between our deluxe shows, double features, weekly one-hour bonus broadcasts, a 4th of July double-header, and an extra label tribute. We have one more set to play before we say goodbye to our busiest broadcasting season ever, all during our 10th year on the air and while celebrating WUSB’s 45th anniversary.

For our final Summer show, we do something we never done before: our first-ever riot-grrrl showcase. We go all-in featuring screaming females from Olympia, Portland, New York City, K Records, and Kill Rock Stars from the late Eighties and early Nineties as these all-important artists conclude our final Summer Omega broadcast of the year with an unforgettable deafening finale. We received lots of contributions and ideas from our followers of all things Omega and without them this show wouldn’t have been possible.

* Due to scheduling changes ahead of time, our August 29th daylight bonus edition of Omega Radio has already been broadcast days before to patch up WUSB’s grid for continuity. For those interested in hearing this show, you can download it here.

To all of our listeners, followers, and supporters of all things Omega and WUSB, we cannot thank you enough through what has been our most ambitious broadcast season ever. As part of a non-corporate independently run radio station, we do things that no other show or frequency does that push and explore the boundaries of diverse programming. With 13 weeks to go in Year 10, we plan on showcasing more diverse sounds before year’s end. We hope you found something new and continue to stay with us throughout the Autumn broadcasting season when we finish up our 10th year on the air. See you in Autumn.
