Petrichor - the smell of dry rain on the ground.

Taiyang took a deep breath as he stepped out on the front porch. He looked down at Zwei. "Smell that boy? Petrichor. It's gonna rain soon." He gazed up at the sky, noting the puffy clouds starting to build from the East. He heard the porch creak under Raven's feet a moment before she began to speak.

"Summer loved the smell of petrichor," she said. Taiyang hummed softly. After Summer didn't come back from her mission, the rest of STRQ had made a pact to not speak about her unless necessary. Too much pain for all of them.

"She did," he replied. He turned his eyes to his garden, his rosebushes with their lovely white blooms, and tried to swallow around the lump in his throat. Raven settled on the top step.

"Remember how she used to drag us out into the rain to dance?" she asked. Her voice held an uncharacteristic softness. He finally looked at her and saw her tracing her fingers over the flaming rose tattoo on her thigh. Tai's hand instinctively found his own rose and feather tattoo on his side under his shirt. Summer's completed the set with a burning feather on her bicep.

"Yeah," he whispered. She turned to look up at him.

"I saw Ruby. She looks exactly like her mother." Tai choked, a laugh and a sob trying to come out at the same time.

"She does." Raven turned away and looked back out over the yard. Tai sat next to her and watched the storm roll in, carrying the scent of petrichor closer and closer.

Hey hey hey, what are your top 5 persona 3 ships? >:)

OH NICE!!!!! Excellent question thank you. OK so I’ll do this in order of preference (number 1 to 5).

Yukamitsu. I mean no one is surprised here but it is honestly my favorite ship out of any piece of media ever, I’ve never grown this attached to a ship before, but I absolutely adore Mitsuru and Yukari on their own as separate characters and together? The progression of their relationship throughout P3? I absolutely love it. It’s done so well and there’s not many other relationships done as well as theirs in the series. They live in my head rent free and I honestly wish I could make more content for them but unfortunately life is a bitch and so is creative burnout.

Akimina. Specifically Akihiko/Minato. OK so I started getting interested in this ship thanks to the wonderful @/ask-the-arisato-twins ask blog (great blog love them). It was a ship that I never really considered but now I really like? I think what I like about it is that they’re quite different so they’re a nice contrast to each other? OK so Akihiko values strength and is very strong. His strength is very loud so to speak, I mean when he’s on the battlefield he’s always yelling and his presence is quite loud. Minato is also very strong, but in a more quiet way? Like looking at him you wouldn’t think he’s very strong but suddenly he goes into battle and he’s wiping the floor with Personas like Lucifer and Messiah. And I think they would both respect each others’ strength and also they just vibe well? I don’t know if any of that makes any sense but it’s just something I noticed about them. Basically, I kinda started shipping them for fun but then accidentally got super invested in them.

Jundori. Oh god I get so emotional thinking about their relationship. Like the character development both of them have because of it. And like also the symbolism when Junpei’s persona evolves? Just amazing. I love them and I love their relationship so much.

Akishinji. Another relationship that makes me so emotional. They are literally best friends to lovers which is hands down my favorite kind of relationship. I just adore these two so much and like there’s so much stuff in canon where their relationship could be easily interpreted as way more than a friendship? They are ride or die for each other and their personas are literally twins they’re so connected.

The last one is tough because there’s so many I like. I’m gonna give it to Hamaigis and Shinjiham though. Both of these relationships are so good and they’re both possibly canon, if you do their social links. I loved both Aigis and Shinji’s SLs so much and are a large part of the reason I ship both of these. Both of these had so many cute scenes that I just love.

Honorable mention then to Mitsuham which I will forever be pissed at Atlus for not making possible seeing as Mitsuru literally asks Hamuko TO RUN AWAY WITH HER and during rank 9 ASKS HER TO STAY BY HER SIDE UNTIL THE END LIKE ATLUS WHAT THE FUCK LET ME DATE HER AS MINAKO YOU ASSHOLES.
