Give attention to your favorite creators, especially small ones
For the LOVE please if you like what somebody is creating, let them know. Drop a like, a comment, a reblog.
Any type of sharing that links to the creator such as reblogging and retweeting helps so much. It helps the creator extend their circle of viewership. It’s also a good chance for you to leave commentary in tags, letting them know you like it. Generally, reblogs/retweets are seen as more valuable than likes.
That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t like as well, though. Everybody has their reasons for not sharing things around, and a like shows some support as well.
HOWEVER, keep in mind that:
When creators see that likes outweigh shares, they tend to feel that their content is seen but not enjoyed; that people are showing mild support rather than real support, leaving some creators to wonder if their content is good enough.
Nobody is gonna call you cringe for sharing the work of small creators. If they do, they’re a sourpuss and you should ignore them.
Nobody gives a shit about how much you curate your account content. If you’re really concerned, make a side account. Make an account for every fandom. Whatever.
If you don’t share, then comment.
Hell, comment even if you liked and shared. Just comment. Creators LOVE comments. (assuming they’re nice comments) It can be anything. Things you like about it, how it made you feel, or even just a heart emoji. It makes creators feel seen and appreciated.
(Avoid giving critique or comparing to other creators. This instead hurts the artist)
TLDR give lots of obvious love to any content you enjoy, make a creator happy
