Personality/Characteristics: Raz is sweet, soft, friendly, and cheerful. He’s generally optimistic and gives off a steady flow of positive vibes that make everyone around him feel more relaxed and happy. He has a lot of wisdom for his age, and always seems to have the perfect advice. Raz is mysterious and charismatic but in a more soft and subtle way, making him feel almost magical at times. He is gentle and kind, always seeing the best in others, he only knows how to love and forgive.

Fun Facts:

-he is psychic, and although he cannot “read your mind” per se, he can often guess pretty close to what you’re thinking by reading you aura and energy waves. He can also see threads of fate, can see and communicate with spiritual beings, and occasionally receives visions of foresight.

-his psychic abilities enable him to move and levitate objects, which can be quite convenient

I desperately need to draw my oc, Raiza, soon… it’s been forever since I’ve drawn him and I’ve been thinking about him tonight, got some absolutely gorgeous outfits/styles in mind that I just have to share.

For me he is the absolute ideal when it comes to gender… beautiful, elegant, petite, has feminine elements yet clearly not a woman, he has almost perfect androgyny while still using he/him pronouns (though he personally doesn’t care what pronouns are used for him).

Sometimes he dresses and styles himself to appeal more to his masculine side, sometimes to show off his feminine aspects, and sometimes somewhere confusingly in between the two depending on his mood and the occasion.

He is perfection incarnate, ahhh… I love him.

Basic background summary of Retro Rebel, a series in the making by yours truly:

In a solar system known as the Trinity Star System, or simply Triverse, an individual by the name of Raiza Dannan has designed the most highly sophisticated Virtual Reality System (VR system or commonly called the System) that extends across the entirety of the Triverse. Apart from being a scientific genius and the owner and founder of Red Star Industries (RSI), Raiza is rumored to have incredible psychic ability, even giving him the power to create and alter reality. With the VR system in place, he designs a sort of game titled Retro Rebel, which consists of a seemingly endless number of levels and more “character” roles to choose from than one could imagine. Want to travel the vast universe as a galactic explorer? There’s a role for that. Want to be a hunter-gather in a prehistoric landscape? There’s a role for that. Or maybe you’d rather own a simple bakery in a peaceful suburb. Yep, there’s a role for that too. Anything anyone could ever want or dream of being can be done in Retro Rebel.

That was Raiza’s goal, to enable people to live any life they could ever want, limited only by their imagination. Of course, nothing good comes without challenges.

One of those challenges has to do with beings known as Virals, which are demonic beings capable of infiltrating the System and causing various issues, anything from damaging the System itself or the levels to even harming the people and creatures who live there. They can range from being minor pests to massive monsters.

The biggest and most powerful Virals require the Game Warden’s intervention, and that individual is Deveras Shinigami. Dev is the one who trains all of the high-leveled enlisters in the “Rebel Mode” of the game, who will then be stationed throughout the levels to guard and train low-leveled and new enlisters.

Those who choose the Rebel Mode of the game are trained to become the System’s first line of defense against Virals and other threats. There are a great variety of cyber weapons and tech that can be used against Virals, but there are also special creatures that are natural enemies to the Virals. These creatures can be tamed and trained, and are easily contained within special devices called Bells (due to their round shape and the calming frequency that they emit).

List of creatures capable of fighting or deterring Virals: komainu, shisa, sphinx, dragons, okami, inugami, kitsune, neko, and usagi.

While some creatures can easily be tamed by anyone, some higher leveled creatures can only be tamed by exceptionally skilled individuals.

Though you can choose to live in almost any level of the game, most people choose to stay in the Base Level, or “Real World” (sometimes RW) and simply travel to other levels for work, vacationing, or other reasons. The RW is the cyberpunk world of Kyova, covered almost entirely by vast, futuristic cities. This is where Raiza, Dev, and many of the other characters actually live.
