#rambling time
Note
What could be consider laws of the multiverse?
Or is there no such thing?
Aight aight
Let's go, explanation for time
For this one I will speak as creator
This is infos I've shared before on my site, and I got the greenlight to share it here !
Reminder that @neonross was the og creator of Out of Bounds and I am merely one of the artist and writers ( and alternatively the lore gremlin that make sure everything is smooth good lore lol ( so for lore clarification yeh I'm the good person to ask haha))
So here are the "laws" of the multiverse and how it works in wttmv specifically !
Those rules apply only in our story, but anyone who wants to use those concepts are welcome, of course ! Neon Ross's og intent was to have rules flexible enough for people to make characters and have fun with the concepts, but we don't mean to be an autority of any kind and ruin people's fun... Anyway, explanation time
It's not really "laws" so much as rules for ourselves and for our story, to give it nuances and stakes and the right amount of lore scratching complexity
Some characters however might tell you that these are laws lmao
✨Out of Bounds ✨
___-Lore Guide-___
Out of Bounds (OOB) is a realm existing beyond the multiverse, operating by its own rules and devoid of time. This guide provides insight into OOB's nature, its role in the multiverse, and the mechanics governing its interactions.
Nature of Out of Bounds
Definition :
• OOB is a space outside of alternate universes, akin to the Void Realm in Towags where forgotten characters and places reside.
• Awareness of this space is limited, known only to those who reside within or encounter its inhabitants.
Television :
• Floating televisions within OOB display AUs, acting as viewports or portals for interaction.
• Televisions serve as a primary means for Multiversers to observe and interact with AUs. ( While it is the primary way, note that there are exceptions and other ways to travel )
Shows :
• We call "show" the stories within the multiverse. Includes the Original, Variants, Alternate Universes.
• The Original cannot be touched or interacted with by anyone.
• Variants are copies of the original with very minor changes (art style, design, head canons). They can be interacted with on varrying degree, depending on the creator of the variant will.
• AUs are copies of Welcome Home with major or noticeable changes, from the story, to the characters and their designs.
Vintage Tapes :
• AUs are stored within vintage tapes, with the film inside representing the universe's timeline.
• Tapes categorize AUs into Fixed and Flexible, depending on the level of interaction allowed by the creators of each AUs.
Interference Mechanics :
• Interfering with Fixed AUs poses risks, as altering their storylines can lead to universe corrupt and/or collapse.
• Flexible AUs allow more interaction, often featuring crossovers and Y/N scenarios.
Out of Bound Spaces
Channels :
• Spaces integral to the multiverse system, including the Observer's TV room, the Archives, and Admin's film room.
Shows :
• The AUs themselves, contained in the multiverse, then OOB
Lost Media :
• Spaces not categorized as channels or tapes, such as the Keeper's domaine, Trader's space, and Stitcher's atelier. (Often time those are kind of like shells of dead/collapsed/modified AU, or pocket dimensions)
Pillars of Creation :
• Vast space outside of the multiverse, a galaxy-like zone full of stars, that is said to be where the creators of AUs reside. Very few characters go so far in the OOB.
In between :
• The void between the AUs. It is devoid of breathable air, often dark and lightless as well. Some multiversers are unaffected by the lack of air, but stay careful ! We don't know what lurks or leaks in the in-between
Diagram made by Bloomenvogel and Neon Ross for the Out of Bound as we see it in WTTMV
Tumblr media
Note : this diagram applies to wttmv, but feel free to use I with your characters if you want ! Just like all of those rules, we made those to help make the story as a whole
Out of Bound Inhabitants
Natives of OOB :
• The Out of Bound is often said to have a mind of its own... It will sometimes create its own variants of the core cast, for reasons still obscures to this day. Notable characters born from the OOB : Observer, Courier, Messenger
"Refugies"
• Cast or OC characters that had their worlds destroyed/corrupted/collapsed, and who are left to wander in the multiverse. Most often they will end up in Peacekeeper's domaine until they can be rehomed in a flexible tape or new universe, or adapt to the Out of Bounds.
• A character that adapts to the Out of Bounds will then be called "Multiverser" along with the native of OOB
• Characters considered "refugies turned multiverser" in wttmv : Peacekeeper, Filante, Trader, ShopKeeper, Watcheye, Stitcher, Croupier
Multiversers :
• Multiversers are the inhabitants of the Out of Bounds. Often times, they are anomalies that have developped specific abilities allowing them to reside or survive in the Out of Bounds. Those abilities often includes being able to travel to multiple flexible tapes, but not always. A multiverser will almost always be a variant of a cast character, and rarely, if not ever, a y/n or fan oc. (If you wonder why y/n and ocs are excluded from being multiversers specifically, it's because Y/N is at its core a you self insert, but *you* are supposed to be viewers in the story. It's fine when in a pocket universe like Keeper's and Trader, a y/n can exist there, but in the oob it could causes some problems of logic with viewer influence and control, or the focus of the story could go astray to fit a y/n, which is not a story we want to tell. It kinda goes for ocs too)
__________________
I tried to say as much as I could without much spoilers... For the reminder, I already explained the main, general chronology of wttmv on the site
Ik, ik, it's a bit of a hassle to go search and look and all. Tbh the site is kind of a way to give a bit of a treat for the really big fans who are ready to go on a separate site to get lore lmao /lh
But now I get to ramble here too ! Hurray !
TLDR :
OOB is big and weird. The AUs and Variants can be interacted with only if allowed by the creators. Multiversers are the weird cast variants living in the oob. The OOB is kinda like an onion, it has layers. Most characters always stay in the multiverse part.

Heya! For your ask game thing- might as well start at the beginning! What was going through your head when you were writing the very first opening lines of BLOOD? Also, were the first lines of the story the first ones you wrote, or did you start somewhere else?
As someone who might want to write their own original stuff in the future, I’m interested in hearing about others’ points of view on starting a story and what their thought process were :)
SO!!!
To answer your first question directly -
The goal of the first chapter was to be an introduction. An introduction to the characters, an introduction to the dynamics, an introduction to the types of conflicts that may arise, an introduction to a glimpse of possible worldbuilding, an introduction to the writing style, pretty much everything. And well, now it's only half-cannon haha. I plan on rewriting it at some point in the future, but it's alright to stay as is right now anyway.
It's essentially the pilot episode - if people enjoyed the hints and snippets that they saw, the base concepts, and the potential for where it might go, then afterwards I'd devote a lot more time to actually planning things out properly. I wanted enough detail to hook people, but I didn't want to invest so much time that I'd be disappointed if people weren't interested.
Perfectionism - especially when starting - is a well known killer of stories. So it's intentionally raw and not perfect. There's a few places where I mix up past and present tense. I'm sure there's typos. And that's okay - this is the rough draft of the story!
Going through my head at the time of writing, the most important priority was the characters.
I wanted to establish Damien as a Menace that loves getting reactions out of people. I wanted to establish Yarrop as the chronically exhausted and chronically grumpy character. Also the Stabby Guy With Knives. I wanted to establish Co as someone very easily distracted by Watching and Observing with Cool Guy Vibes. The cool guy vibes aren't as accurate now, since I'm leaning much more into him being a very lovey and caring sort of guy. His speaking patterns in particular are very different now. I wanted to establish Ribbonsy as someone that knows exactly what they want, and is playfully teasing. Which also isn't exactly fitting anymore, but kinda close.
I also really really wanted to push just how different and unique they are as characters. Having the way Damien & Yarrop interact being contrasted against the way Co & Ribbonsy interact. The casual violence vs the casual love.
Here's a good example of what I mean by 'half-cannon'
“I don’t have a clue. If you ever dumped milk on my head like that, I’d kick you out of the house,” Ribbonsy says bluntly.
1- There's already the idea that Ribbonsy doesn't understand Damien & Yarrop, which will later have more weight when it's revealed that they're a counselor/therapist.
2- This implies that Ribbonsy is the one that owns or otherwise has power over the current housing situation. That was the intent at the time, however I've since decided to change it. Co is the one that owns the house, not Ribbonsy.
3- Ribbonsy speaking bluntly in a casual situation, and the more whining tone. I've tweaked their general behavior and speaking patterns a bit. The bluntness is still something they do frequently, however now they take great care to avoid having a whining tone. They also tend to try and reserve the bluntness for situations where they may be under some sort of pressure, but is still comfortable/confident.
Overall, I think that Ribbonsy & Co are the ones that have changed the most between the Pilot and the rest of the story. Very outwardly small changes, but quite a few behind-the-scenes bigger changes to who they are as I found their place in the story. Yarrop & Damien in the pilot is still pretty accurate.
Ribbonsy complaining about being cold as the first lines is also a subtle nod to one of my favorite protective vore tropes. The whole - "If you're cold, they're cold - Put Them In Your Mouth" haha.
The line -
"[...]probably die of heatstroke or something when summer comes.” Co whines.
is a very subtle nod to what was later revealed as Co's Power. Which is - creating ice / freezing things, at the cost of internally overheating. In trying to create ice to cool himself off in the summer, he would instead hasten his demise by overheating.
There's a lot of details in it, despite being half-cannon. It's just very tricky to interpret anything from it currently, because it's hard to tell what details are still relevant and what details have been discarded or changed.
If you're ever curious about whether any specific detail in chapter 1 is still cannon, feel free to ask! I am happy to answer!
As a more in depth answer that may help a lot more in terms of learning & seeing behind the curtain -
Before BLOOD, I've tried to write a number of other stories. I have hundreds of characters, half a dozen elaborate worldbuilding projects, dozens of rp servers, many hundreds of pages of disjointed writing (not necessarily good writing, it's a very steep hill of fucking around and experimenting. Everyone has to start from somewhere!)
Creative Writing in general is something I've been passionate about for a long time, but all my projects have always... fallen flat. The idea was too big, or I just lost motivation. I've found that I write the most, and write the best, when I have people enjoying my work and encouraging me. People are my main motivation - probably not a good thing, but it is what it is haha. My original creative worlds are great and all, but trying to get anyone interested is Incredibly Hard. I've tried dozens of times.
In terms of writing my first lines of BLOOD, to put it simply, I had people interested in the idea beforehand. This is a niche community, with demand for a specific type of story that I am happy to write.
I blame @luckyshotwrites and @vore-toast for kicking it off - they did the hard work of gathering the fanbase for this type of story, and I'm just mooching off of it /lighthearted. Genuinely though - I would not have started writing the story without them.
The first chapter was an experiment / interest check. Once I determined my experiment was successful, that's when I really started to actually plan things out.
On the more Story side of things, there were 3 main things -
I wanted the story to be smaller in scale, so I wouldn't make the same mistakes as I have in the past by biting off more than I can chew. It's absolutely still a decent sized story, but it has a clear beginning, middle, and end. A few plot points are fixed. There's certainly some things that're still open to improv and flexibility, to let the story breathe more, but it's not just a "fuck around and whatever happens, happens." like most of my stories in the past have been.
I wanted the characters to have depth and life to them. And well, most New Characters I write need to have time to develop to have nuance and actually feel like a person. So, the majority of the characters are ones I've borrowed from other stories I've written. Echos of their original stories, echos of their previous relationships, echos of their habits, all in a new light. I mostly picked my favorites out of the ones I've written over the years, but I have a few lesser-developed ones as well to give them a chance to grow too. So far, I beliiiieve every character had their very first origin from 5+ years ago. Although, they've been in various stories since then. For example, Co was most recently a My Hero Academia character in an roleplay server, haha. If you trace his origins alllllll the way back, he was an Undertale AU character I made. Same with Arasi, Marduke, and half of what went into Roxi too. Roxi is sorta a blend of 2 characters I had. (unfortunately, I have recently realized that most of them have Something Fucked Up with their eyes, because a lot of them had their first origins as something edgy & 'cringe' from me Being A Teenager back then. Which uhhhhh oops. time to figure out how to change that plothole into A Totally Intentional Story Telling Device. Probably. Something like - physical representation of lacking foresight, 'an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind', or 'it's all fun and games until someone looses and eye' or something else idk. Peek behind the curtains.)
I have a passion for Breaking Tropes and Breaking Stereotypes. Non-linear and non-standard paths to healing, a wide variety of relationship dynamics. The guy that gives stoner vibes has been clean & sober for several years. The Therapist Character having a lot of personal development and isn't just a tool to progress others. Everyone Is Autistic (because I'm autistic) and it fits none of the popular sterotypes. The guy that experiences hallucinations is Just A Guy and very humanized. A weird guy, but that's not really related to the hallucination part.
I think I had more to say but it's getting kinda late, and I gotta get up early tomorrow wups. But anyway yes!!! If you read this far and you're still interested, please send more asks! I will go feral over them like a Creature.

XGaster posting (handplates spoilers?)
You know, there are different levels of quality when it comes to stories. Specifically, stories revolving around Undertale. There are stories that don't leave out any detail, describing or showing every single one. The nuance that each character has, their experience and how it shaped them as a person, how it affects the decisions they make and the words they say. Their relationships with people or things, their reactions, behaviors, thoughts and feelings. Some people write everything very thoroughly, embracing the complexity of it all. While others just use the basic wireframe — the silhouette of a character. And every character has a story. ..Right?
Tumblr media
XGaster is very interesting in this aspect. He lacks it. He has no backstory — some versions of Gaster may've been alive during the war between humans and monsters, which, obviously, left a mark on them. He hasn't experienced any of that, though. In fact, he has neither childhood nor youth: straight to middle adulthood. (Sure skipped a lot there, buddy) There's nothing that shapes him, to put it simply. He just suddenly appeared one day, already 40 or so. No experience, that's one. But no relationships either: he never served the Dreemurrs, never had sons, never connected with his colleagues or a certain bartender, never formed his opinion on humans. All of those are set to zero. He's not like any other Gaster, that's for sure. And it gets even more interesting! Well, now that he exists, he can finally catch up, right? Sort of. He provided Chara and Frisk with a loving family, himself with an assistant, and sat back. As a creator, he decided not to involve himself in the world of his universe too much. He's 'above' whatever's going on there, while other Gasters are concerned with breaking the barrier and things like that. Hence, he's distanced himself. Which certainly doesn't do his lack of relationships any good. Refusal to participate in the story won't help the situation at all. It's very peculiar. Created as a 'nobody', and he chose to stay one, preferring isolation. 60 years. (Yes, he did spend time outside of XTale, though I doubt it was fruitful. Probably preferred not to interact with others as much.) And it's interesting how timeline I and II him differ. How he became so cold all of a sudden. And I have this feeling that the important part was left out in the second episode of XTale.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
While he may seem evil and completely irredeemable at first, he does feel regret and sorrow. Which makes me wonder. Did he have to mentally prepare for the first OVERWRITE? To do some mental gymnastics, maybe? Oh how I wish we'd gotten a glimpse of whatever was going on in that mind of his. Because a certain someone shares a somewhat similar trope.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh hey.
Tumblr media
Funny coincidence. However, XGaster is a ruthless, sadistic individual, unlike Handplates Gaster. There's definitely something wrong with him
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now that I think of it he's basically a combo of these two
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A purple rip-off of Gaster with no story and little creativity. This probably bugs him. To what extent? I'm not sure. But it must be so, on top of the guilt, regret, fear of abandonment, and self-loathing for not being the perfection he strives for. Love 'em

just finished watching episode 5 of koisenu futari and i'm a crying mess.
i don't even know where to start. this episode resonated with me so much. i have been feeling so seen and represented during the whole series, but this episode hit home with what sakuko went through.
when chizuru confessed to her, the reason why she left and how she felt towards sakuko, i went back to years ago when something similar happened to me. my best friend confessed to me and i rejected her. at the moment, i didn't know i was aromantic. and it felt as if i played with her, because before she did confessed i was so sure i liked her romantically, but the moment she asked me out i panicked and rejected her. and that's when i knew there was something "wrong" with me because, why would i feel all anxious if the girl i liked asked me out? we brushed the situation off, kept talking as always but then she suddenly stopped replying to me. it took her weeks and maybe even months to contact me again. i felt so guilty, because i truly believed she was feeling the same way as i did, as we always felt. because she confessed to me, i rejected her and i kept on with my life because i wasn't affected at all. because i didn't like her romantically. because i've never been affected when something happened that obviosly romantic people were hurt by. it was obvious we weren't in the same.
she never told me the reason why she did that. i never thought it was because i rejected her, because of course we were going to still be best friends, right? but when chizuru told sakuko «but to stay with you hiding something in my heart that you don't want. i can't be with you the way i used to be. so i decided to leave you» i somehow got to understand why my friend left me.
«sorry for being selfish. i've hurt you a lot» i wish i heard this from my friend too. some part of me feels jealous of sakuko for knowing she's aromantic. because i didn't know that and i was so lost. i didn't understand what was wrong with me and i kept asking myself if i should have just simply accepted her confession.
when i found out i was aromantic, a lot of things started to make sense. what happend with this friend was clear to me. when sakuko apologised to kazu and said «i think i've hurt you a lot during a time. if only i understood myself sooner...» was what broke my heart to pieces. because it has taken me a lot of time to come in terms with myself with what happened back then.
"i wish i knew sooner" that's something i thought a lot of times, until i ended up accepting what happened. i hurt a lot of people that liked me, during all my life. i was never interested in people, not romantically at least and when i thought i liked someone i just confused it with simply really strong emotions towards them. so looking back, i always had that thought.
it brings me a lot of comfort that sakuko has someone as understanding as kazu. when he yelled «don't say that!» and then said he must have hurt her too and to not blame herself was so meaningful to me. and when he ended up saying that he will never regret falling in love with her... i knew that kazu finally got to understand her completely, and that she accepts her just how she is.
and just to finish this i just love sakuko and takahashi so much and it makes me so happy that sakuko, as someone who has just realised is aroace has someone to lean on. i wish i had a takahashi in my life too. but at the same time, i identify with takahashi so much i just love him the most.
anyway go watch koisenu futari my friends you won't regret it and it's such a good aroace representation

I wish I could agree with y'all's theories instead of my own so I could have byler content damn it kinda sucks when ppl are only talking about stuff you disagree with and sadly I've not yet been convinced by any argument I read because in my view they often don't fit in the larger context so it is what it is but I wish I had read one argument that super convinced me so I could enjoy the fandom more

Honestly, as someone from Eastern Europe I can say that, while many people know about Scientology and Tom's relation to it (whatever it may be at this point), no one here really cares about it.
His movies are on TV all the time and people love them.
No offence, but I feel like Americans/Hollywood are kinda hypocrites about this Scientology stuff. Do they care about every missing person as much as that guy's wife? Probably not. They did bad stuff, that's for sure. But so did the Catholics church and they don't talk about those.
Some of these celebs man... Leah Remini is only famous for speaking about Scientology. I never heard her name because of something else. Judd Apatow is one of those "funny" guys who bitch about the freedom of speech when they get called out for being cunts. Members of the HFPA are still salty Tom criticized them. None of those people who shit talk Tom are innocent nice humans, who genuinely care about victims of Scientology.
Neither of them have a problem wearing all those big brands that exploit people (Balenciaga, Gucci, D&G etc..).
I'm just tired of those stupid fucks, and neither of them have the right to tell anyone what they should do at their age and making fun of someone's height? Dude, pick a better punch line, it's 2023.

Alright time for more Frankie bits
She's on the road alot. Somewhat of a roadie, traveling around during concert season to see all the bands and what not. During which she sets up a booth to sell wares. Bleach painted shirts, upcycled shirts, pins, buttons, chain harnesses. And if she's allowed to she has a traveling bar to bartend.
During slow season she shacks up in whatever town and works as a bartender.
Traveling around alot with not permanent address, makes it real easy to nab her should she catch the eye of a murderbabe.
Also thinking instead of playing an instrument she's a real good metal vocalist. Though she still wants to learn how to play bass or guitar. Eventually she would love to have her own sort of punk grunge metal band. Finding members ain't easy tho.
Also. Quite short. Only about 4'11, or 5'1'
Frankie-stein is one of her nicknames. Given her sort of aesthetic.
Parents weren't the most well off but were always very supportive of her passion for music. And scraped together what they could for vocal lessons. Her and her parents all share a love for the punk rock scene. Learning how to upcycle and sew from her mother and chain work from her dad
Also, despite alot of the body piercings, big fan of wearing latex.

Do you remember that one time Rockman was left unsupervised and managed to be sus af to a police navi by mocking a security system, got arrested as a suspect for a bank robbery, asked the police to contact Amerope's military about a military secret that definitely no one outside of those militaries was supposed to know, escaped said police and became a fugitive? In the span of less than 6 hours?
Because I do.
And it was never brought up again O.O We don't even know if the professor Hikari knows about his son's little adventure, and I doubt Netto would have left him live that down if he knew.
Like, can you imagine some school reunion but netpolice version and that now retired policeman come? And sees Rockman? And is like "wait you're the navi from 20 years ago that talked BS and escaped from jail"??? And everyone is like "WTF???" and they actually learn that, yes, Rock did that.

I need to find another fic to write that has the same effect on me as the Generation Loss one I did.
It didn't get much attention, but I wrote over 32,000 words in less than month, and when I was writing chapters I got so sucked in that I didn't need to go look at other media sites.
But because I got so sucked in, I wrote it really fast, meaning it ended quickly, and I'm trying to find that same effect again only for me efforts to be in vain so far.
But I'm gonna try to write more in that particular universe to see if it has that effect all the way around, let's see.
