This is drawing's idea came as a result of the 30 minutes drawing daily prompt given by Ramon90 in his patreon's discord. Since it was fun I will try to draw one of these a day.

Here is the final piece. I really really really love how this turned out. I added some effects using the auto action feature on clip studio paint and it really sells the Ramonn90 look, especially the bloom and chromatic abrasion. The only thing I would change is the nose, and remove the pencil shading on the top area of the nose, to make it less 'skull like', but other thank that I really like it. I wanted a limited colour pallete, to the items on the table lack design, because the main focus is Cordelia and the fish. Really pleased with this drawing overall!

Your art is so fucking crazy!!! How long have you been drawing?!
Omigosh, thank youuu! 🙊💖 I'm still practicing, hehehe. 😅 To answer your question, I've technically been drawing since I was 4, so that's like... 1993 or so. I got into anime as an artform in 1998 when I watched Tenchi Muyo! on Toonami. I was really into Jamie Hewlett for a short time, and then Ai Yazawa was a huge influence for a time. I took a long break between 2012-2018. I lost my vision for art and stopped having ideas and didn't have any grasp of a direction of where I wanted to take my drawings. I also just sucked at studying. I forced 'studying' into whatever pieces I was motivated to make, so in my opinion, I never had any cohesion in my works. I consider them all to be experimental because of that. I'm still nowhere close where I want to be. 😅 I'm currently inspired by Ramonn90, Heartmush, Shiyoon Kim, eo58... even if you can't see their stuff in my recent posts. 😅 They have what I currently want, haha.
I always looked up Tekkonkinkreet by Studio 4°C (the style, but the manga is nice, loose and gritty looking too) and Mamoru Hosoda for his proportions and effective simplicity, but I never tried to figure out how to incorporate what I liked into my style. 😅 I still think I don't have a style yet, becuz of this. XD but I'm working on it. :3

Valentina Remenar (why are all her pieces so hot I want to marry them)
MisterTrixter (most elegant creature design)
Wylie Beckert (everytime I feel stuck, her art always does the trick)
Isobel Kelly (not to be that person but I would commit crimes for them)
Yoshitaka Amano , Yoji Shinkawa when it comes to massively popular artists and character designers.
Steve Huston (the muscles bro)
Ramonn90 (the STYLE)
BlackWing (can't find their deviantart for some reason but for so many years I've looked up to their dragons!)

i hate ramonn90’s animal anthropomorphisms. i enjoy how he interprets position/stance into re-contextualized action but his designs are flat and don’t carry a personality that resonates with the animal they are based on.
also he physically can’t bring himself to draw a black or brown person. always grey skin, flat black or pale as shit

I looked at a few youtube videos from Ramonn, and noticed that he draws straight into the pose, barely using guidelines. He also lays down the valued and begins blocking the colour. For shading, he tends to create it on one or two layers on top of everything. So to really try to nail his style, I drew the way he did.
He has a distinct way of drawing his eyes, so I made some moodboards (previous post) of his work to get a gist of his style. I love his art and how dynamic it is, even though I decided to do a straight ahead shot, but I was more focused on getting the style right. After adding the shadows I block in the flat colours and add in the shading in a separate layer, which is then merged afterwards.
There's always some type of narrative in his work, so I wanted mine to have some type of story too, even if it's vague. In this image, I used one of my OC's, Cordelia. Cordelia has water manipulation powers and is a mermaid human hybrid. When she is on land for too long, she needs to absorb water or else she'll die. This can be from drinking it, to bathing in it. In this image she had a bowl of water with a fish in it and she absorbed the water, so the fish dies. It's a little bit morbid, but with context it helps you understand the image better.
