One and Only
Hello loves! Yes, I'm alive. Yes, I'm back with a fiction. No, I have no clue why this idea came to my head, but as it did, I have to get it out of my system and onto my Tumblr page :P
Premise: David (F!MC's brother) gets married.
Word count: 8H+
Genre: Fluff
Pairing: Ethan X Catherine, David X Vivianne
A/N: I don't know how this will turn out. I'm planning to do a series based on this 🤓

She woke up with a start. Her phone had been ringing incessantly for the last few minutes.
Rubbing her eyes, she groaned. Couldn't she peacefully sleep on a rare day off without having someone disturbing her?
Didn't seem like it.
Rubbing her eyes, she looked at the clock.
6.15 a.m.
This better be important, she thought, sighing as she accepted the call.
Hardly had she picked up the call when her brother's voice came through, very faintly.
"I'm getting-" the voice crackled.
She couldn't make out what he had said.
"Sorry? Didn't catch that. Also, this better be important, or I'm coming over to murder you."
The person on the other end chuckled.
"I'm getting married, you idiot."
Catherine could hardly believe her ears. Her brother was getting married?!
Sure, she knew her family had been talking about David and his girlfriend, Vivianne and their recent engagement, but due to excess workload, she had missed out on his engagement ceremony as well as his bachelor's party.
And now he and Vivianne were getting married.
"OH MY GOSH! DAVID!" She screamed into the phone, provoking a gasp from the other side.
"I'll go deaf because of you someday, Catherine, I swear-"
"Oh shut up! When's the wedding?"
"Next week. I'm inviting you and Ethan. And tell him no amount of paperwork should deter him or I'll go and drag him to my wedding."
Catherine laughed. "Oh, don't worry. He won't miss your wedding for anything. I'll tell him. Congratulations, li'l bro!"
"Thank you. Also, I need you to come over and help me. I called Enid as well; she'll be arriving tomorrow."
"You bet I'll be there. See you soon, D!"
There was a faint chuckle on the other end before both of them said goodbye.
Hardly had she kept her phone aside when two warm arms wrapped themselves around her athletic build.
"You're determined to not let me sleep, aren't you?"
Catherine giggled, turning in his grasp so she could embrace him.
"David's getting married next week. He invited us. I'm also going over to his place tomorrow to help with the wedding prep."
Ethan smiled. "That's great."
"And as for you, don't worry, it's an intimate wedding, just close friends and family."
Rolling his eyes, he pushed her away, laughing when she slapped his arm softly.
"Let me sleep."

13 hours later, 7.15 p.m.
"You've been fussing about packing since the last three hours. Take a break, C."
"Not a chance. I need to make sure I've got everything, so I don't need to rush home thrice a day to bring little stuff I tend to forget about."
Ethan chuckled. "Okay. I'll get you some coffee then."
"You will?! Thank you! You're a total sweetheart."
"I know."
Ethan handed her the cup before moving behind her, massaging her shoulders and back as she threw stuff in her suitcase.
She sighed softly, bathing in the affection and bliss he offered.
Turning around, she placed a tender kiss on his lips, receiving an immediate response.
"When will you be home?"
"Couple of weeks. Don't worry, I'll constantly text you till I'm sure you're so annoyed you won't even miss me."
"Impossible. I can never be tired of you."
Giggling, she kissed him, fiercely passionate.
"Mmm." Ethan smiled before lending her a hand with packing.

3 hours later, 10.15 p.m.
"There! All done! Gosh, I am exhausted!"
Ethan made a face. "Please, I did at least half of the packing."
"That doesn't change the fact that I'm exhausted."
Catherine was barely able to contain her laughter as Ethan rolled his eyes.
"I'm going to bed. G'night!"
"Wait! What about dinner?!"
"What about it?"
Ethan gaped. "You'll skip dinner?"
"I'm full after the McDonalds and coffee. I'll breakfast early tomorrow."
Ethan reluctantly agreed. "Fine. G'night darling."
He got into his side of bed, and smiled when Catherine curled up against his side, hugging him close.
Turning over so he could have a better reach, he wrapped one arm and one leg around her, smiling as he ruffled her hair.
"I love you." His whisper was soft, but it did not miss Catherine, who simply squeezed his hand softly.

Tara may come off as a manic pixie dream girl who saves the male protagonist from himself, but she is so much more. She has a nuanced personality and demands to be heard and comprehended. What I find most fascinating about her is that she doesn't mind not having answers to all of her questions and prefers to wait for what she wants even if it takes time. She never stops looking for more.

Amitabh Bachchan's Journey: From Bankruptcy to KBC and the Changing Bonds of Friendship
Aanjjan Srivastav and Amitabh Bachchan shared a strong bond in the 90s, and their friendship began during the days of the movie "Shahenshah" when Aanjjan introduced Amitabh to his bank and helped him open an account there. However, things took a difficult turn for Amitabh before the launch of "Kaun Banega Crorepati" (KBC).
During those times, there was a significant backlash against Amitabh, with protests and criticisms happening in Kolkata. Aanjjan visited the sets of "Toofan" to check on his friend, and he found Amitabh in a terrible state, both emotionally and due to an accident he had met with. People had accused him of financial mismanagement, mainly because of wrong bank statements related to his company, ABCL (Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited).
Aanjjan realized that Amitabh was innocent and had been misled by some people who provided false information to him. Instead of taking legal action, Aanjjan and his manager decided not to file any suits and trusted that Amitabh would repay the money when he could. They knew that his intentions were good and he had been unintentionally dragged into the matter.
Amitabh was deeply grateful for Aanjjan's support and immediately promised to return the money as soon as possible. However, Aanjjan assured him that they were not there to demand repayment and urged him to be cautious in his financial transactions with other banks.
Eventually, Amitabh returned all the money, but his company, ABCL, had suffered massive losses, and he faced bankruptcy. However, he made a remarkable comeback with the iconic show "Kaun Banega Crorepati."
Unfortunately, despite their strong bond, Aanjjan noticed a change in Amitabh's behavior after KBC. The once warm and inviting gestures from Jaya Bachchan and the family, including Holi celebrations, stopped. Their relationship turned sour, and Aanjjan suspected that some people from the theatre circle might have instigated Amitabh against him.
While this turn of events did not affect Aanjjan's career, it did hurt him to lose the connection he once had with Amitabh. Nonetheless, he cherished the memories of their friendship and the support he provided during Amitabh's challenging times.

The CBFC permits 'Ghapa Ghap' in Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju but CENSORS the slang in Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma's Jogira. Sara Ra Ra's
The 2018 blockbuster Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor, made the words ‘Ghapa Ghap’ famous. In the Sanjay Dutt biopic, Vicky Kaushal’s character utters the phrase and it was slang for sex. It was allowed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and cleared the film with a U/A certificate. Five years later, the CBFC, however, asked ‘Ghapa Ghap’ to be censored from an upcoming film, Jogira Sara Ra Ra.
Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma, Jogira Sara Ra Ra has been passed with a U/A certificate and 7 cuts. After the changes were carried out, the makers Jogira Sara Ra Ra were handed over the censor certificate on May 8. The length of the film, as mentioned on the certificate, is 121 minutes. In other words, this romantic comic caper is 2 hours and 1 minute long.

Premise: It's wedding preparation time for the Valentine siblings.

Catherine hummed to the famous Indian song 'Badtameez Dil', as she drove along. It was an 8 hour trip by car to her brother's place at NYC, and the music certainly relieved her of some boredom.
She had her phone on the stand; she and Ethan were FaceTiming.
Ethan was at Edenbrook in his office, sorting paperwork.
They remained engrossed in their little bubble, occasionally having light conversation before going back to their work.
It was all peaceful.

6 hours later, 1.00 p.m.
"Ethan, I've reached David's place. I'll talk to you tonight. I love you."
Ethan looked up, smiling wistfully, before nodding. "I love you too. So much. Talk to you later, C. Have a great day, and enjoy."
"You too, love."

Catherine stepped out, grinning. She would be meeting Vivianne for the second time, and her brother, after almost 5 years.
Hardly had she rung the bell when the door of the bungalow flew open, and a tall girl, almost the same height as Catherine, threw herself at her.
She barely managed to save balance, somehow grasping the balcony railing to prevent themselves from falling.
"It's been too long, soon-to-be sister in law" Catherine grinned.
Vivianne smiled. "I'm just so happy to see you! I'm so glad you could come! Enid hasn't arrived yet, though. Did she call you?"
"No, but let me check if there are any texts from her. My mobile data has been a little slow lately, so messages are coming in a bit late."
She quickly opened WhatsApp, and saw that there were at least 15 messages from Enid.
She looked up at Vivianne.
"Her car broke down, Viv. She'll be arriving by the next hour."
Vivianne nodded. "Come on in, Catherine. David's in the shower, he's super excited to meet you and Enid after almost 5 years."
Catherine smiled wistfully. "I'm sorry I had to miss your engagem-"
She was cut off with an airy wave of Viv's hand. "I understand, Catherine. There's no need to apologize."
Viv's genuine smile made Catherine relax. She grinned. "Thanks."

An excited shout made Catherine whirl around, her eyes lighting up as her brother hugged her from behind.
"It's so good to see you, idiot sandwich."
Catherine slapped his arm playfully. "Say that again while looking in the mirror."
David laughed. "I'm so happy to see you after so long that I can't even try to act offended."
"Don't try. I can see right through you."
"You've X-Ray vision?"
Catherine groaned. "That was by far one of the worst jokes I've ever come across."
Her only response was a chuckle.
"Celebrating without me??" A pair of soft arms wrapped Catherine and David into a bear hug.
Both of them turned around, shouting, "Enid!" In unison.
Enid chuckled. "Hello, long time no see."
Stepping back from the hug, she turned to Vivianne, kissing her softly on the cheek. "It's been too long, Viv."
Vivianne smiled, taking her hand. "A bit too long, one could say."
"Alright, V, you done stealing all the attention? I want my sisters to myself for a couple o' minutes."
Vivianne laughed, raising her hands in mock surrender. "They're all yours."

"Hey Viv! You got any plans for the wedding dress?"
Vivianne looked up from her book, grinning when she saw Catherine and Enid.
"Not yet, no. I'm still unsure, to be fair."
The siblings exchanged glances before pulling her up. "Get into outdoor clothes. We're going to the mall."
Viv's grin was an incredible reward.

The three girls sifted through the dress centers, feeling disappointed after every exit as they failed to find the perfect dress for Viv.
Suddenly, Viv stopped so abruptly that Catherine and Enid almost bumped into her.
"Whoa!" But following the direction of Viv's eyes, they saw what had made her jaw drop.
It was a beautiful ivory-white saree, detailed with sequins and intricate designs.
It looked simply minimalistic, elegant, classy, ......overall, simply gorgeous.
Catherine and Enid blinked twice. That dress was bomb.
"We have a winner here." Catherine's statement was accompanied by Enid's low whistle.
"D and Viv are gonna have an...ahem...adventurous night after the wedding." This successfully brought Viv out of her trance, who playfully elbowed Enid as punishment.
"Okay chill you two. Let's go get that saree. And since we're getting an Indian dress, how about a classic Indian theme wedding?"
Viv's squeal proved her approval and enthusiasm for the idea, but the sisters knew they had to consult the groom first.
.....
"I'm sorry, did you say $65,540 for that dress?!"
Viv's face fell.
Just then, two credit cards appeared in front of the cashier.
Viv gasped. "Oh no you don't! I won't ha-" she trailed off, mumbling incoherently, Catherine and Enid's united glare piercing through her.
The cashier packed the dress and silently slid it over to Viv.
But the next sentence shocked Viv beyond belief.
"Congratulations, Vivianne. Glad to see some moron saw something in a piece of trash like ya."
