as an actual French person, let me tell you that Kit did a really good job with his lines in French? Obviously he still had an accent but it was FAR from the worst I've heard, and he was completely understandable (which is NOT a given even when actors try their best) and sounded quite natural? Honestly he sounded like someone who's been practicing their French for a lot longer than he actually has, so while he didn't sound like a native speaker I am SO PROUD of him because we all know he had a long way to go from "oui"

Love the thought of Leo just casually being well traveled to absurd degrees. Like one day they’re facing their new Big Bad of the year and like, Draxum or whoever says that the key to their fight is located somewhere in, like, Latvia or some place, but no one knows where to start.
Then Leo’s like “oh I know a place” and when asked how the heck he could know of one it smash cuts to Leo falling through the ceiling of said place due to a portal mishap.
Also love the idea of Leo, being as accidentally (and then later, purposefully) well traveled as he is, sometimes taking his family on outings to different places all over, maybe to some new Yokai spots he found along the way.
In these places, Leo 100% lets his bros get scammed by tourist traps.

people talk about how "helpless" and "underdeveloped" human babies are compared to newborns from other species (e.g. foals can gallop 24 hours after birth, newly hatched kiwi chicks feed themselves, etc)
But. can you imagine how absolute nightmarish it would be if newborn babies could run around and climb on top of stuff? and think of the birth-giving parent, not only are they exhausted and in pain now their baby is MOBILE AND ROAMING that would be terrifying

Kenpachi's Place
On the subject of "what people call each other" more generally, my favorite Bleach topic, Aizen is also kind of weird about Zaraki. He refers to Renji leaving the 5th for the 11th as Renji being "taken away to Kenpachi's place." Was he. Was he kidnapped. Is Kenpachi's Place a trafficking front.

Referring to Zaraki by title is a Choice, for sure. I don't know if anyone else does that (besides Ichigo), but I can think of many who do not, would never.
Referring to the 11th as "Kenpachi's Place" also feels like a Choice. It makes me think about Renji's question to Ichigo when they first meet:

[Bleach 054]
His meaning of is speech bubble is, "Which [number] Division are you affiliated with?" but the pronunciation is just "Where are you affiliated?" So there's already a sense, I guess, that the geographic question of "where" implies your divisional affiliation, and that divisions are thought of as places. Makes sense, given that all the divisions are meaningful geographic spreads in the Seireitei.
Is it still weird that it's "Kenpachi's Place" and not just idk, "the 11th Division"? I mean, I think it is, but it does speak to the unique tradition of leadership succession the 11th's got going on, and how intense the cult of personality is in the 11th, as a division whose nature is extremely tied to the nature of whoever its leader happens to be.
Aizen also never actually refers to the 11th as the 11th, so in order to make that connection we'd have to remember Zaraki's name and number from when he showed up at Byakuya's Place. Why wouldn’t he? Idk but I enjoy it as character info. (NB: Byakuya is perfectly happy to refer to Tousen purely by number, as "9th Captain" and not by any name at all, so there's a lot of different conventions out and about across the various captains.)

Atsushi: okay, so maybe I was thinking of Kyouka-
Akutagawa: do we need any more?
Atsushi: *sigh* there can't only be two people during a housewarming party, Aku. Especially if they're just the owners.

I was today years old when I realised (thankfully on my own) that the English noun moron (meaning “idiot”) comes from the Greek adjective μωρός (morós), meaning “foolish”.
The word, which is used since ancient times, has evolved to have several additional usages besides that one.
The feminine version μωρή (morí) has become a generic vocative word which expresses disrespect and is not necessarily questioning the addressed woman’s intelligence in specific.
The masculine vocative form μωρέ (moré) has become a very generic exclamative term that can add colour to a phrase regardless of meaning. For example, τι λες μωρέ; (ti les moré - what the heck/ on earth are you saying, could work in a similar way to express bafflement at hearing something strange) but also μωρέ είμαι κουρασμένος (moré íme kurazménos - well, you see, I am tired, can be used in a similar way to soften the phrase that implies avoidance, like softening the rejection of a proposal to go out). It can regulate the exclamation in a sentence in a myriad of such ways.
But an even more interesting case is the neuter form of the word, which has turned into a noun, and is now the most common everyday word for the baby [το μωρό(ν) - to moró(n)], because a baby of course does not have well developed perception yet.
In other words, we earnestly call our babies morons by default and I think that’s beautiful.

I have discovered a travesty of the highest order.
We all know and love Lost Time and Badger Cereal, where Danny gets some gosh damn help.
But what about Mr. Lancer??? Where's the name for that platonic mentor/mentee relationship??? I cannot find one???
I hereby declare it to be called...
