hypothetical pulsar pilot gear slash armor i hashed out for reference for another drawing earlier. not 100% set in stone by any means esp bc it still feels kind of generic sci fi armor but i am pleased with parts of it.

the gear’s look is partially for optics, to make the pilots look knightly and heroic and stuff to civilians, but it is pretty solid in terms of protection. the back is the most armored part, as due to the pilots essentially laying in the saddle, it’s the most exposed and vulnerable part. the ‘backpack’ piece, often nicknamed the turtle shell, protects the pilot’s spine and PULSAR implant, and also contains a parachute in case of emergencies.

I had a dream last night about a new show on Netflix called 90% Hero. It was basically the guy who would normally be the lead in a teen super hero show (AKA the straight skinny white guy) ended up being the mentor because the magic weapons him and the rest of the heroes found never worked for him.

The team from what I remembered in my dream consisted on a chubby gamer guy who had really bad grades named Zack, Lauren "the 10th most popular girl in school", and Tod comic book nerd and super hero in training. I remember that the team was going to expand outside of this in the next season and Tod is the only straight white guy on the team.

Tod ended up having to train Zack and Lauren how to be good heroes through wacky ways because neither of them wanted to be heroes. Tod never ends up getting super powers and has to learn to be content just training the rest of the team. The vibe of the show was kind of Shazam meets power rangers type vibe.
