a few years ago, i was s/a'd. i won't get into it obv, but it did leave me with a noncon fetish, specifically with me as the perpetrator, to get back the control i lost. i need to emphasize this is a fantasy and i would never act out irl. the persistent subject of most of my fantasies a close friend of mine, F. around a year ago, i made a sideblog dedicated to my fantasies for anyone who shared similar ones. the only details i had was the first letter of my name and my age. i posted about my fantasies involving F, but all the characters in their name were replaced with asterisks. i have no idea how, but they must have found the account (i guess the amount of characters in the name, or the TINIEST personal details you'd only know if you were them) because a week ago F suddenly either blocks or ignores me on all platforms, and a few days later my sideblog is terminated by staff. obviously i know it would be horrific to come across that, but i emphasized even on my blog that it's a fantasy, THOUGHT crimes aren't real, etc etc. should i have been more vague?? F is my favorite person, my infatuation with them is something i literally cannot control. so AITA here?

Also can someone please explain to me what is up with the sudden rash of people online arguing, “Actually consent is a bad framework for talking about sexual ethics because some people push and cajole their partners into agreeing to participate in [XYZ kink] that they don’t actually want to do!” ? Like are you being disingenuous on purpose or did we all just collectively forget that we have a word for this, and that word is coercion, and that we’ve had pretty extensive societal discussions about how coercion ≠ consent. I mean I’m sure we could always use more, because of course we still live in a culture that is astonishingly bad with the concept of consent and I am in no way denying this, but. We did very much did have those societal discussions!

Additionally you do recognize that the kink isn’t actually the heart of the problem in this scenario you’re proposing, right? You do recognize that it would also be very bad to coerce someone into receiving perfectly unremarkable oral sex. Right. You do recognize that quite a lot of people are coerced into things specifically BECAUSE those things are seen as “normal” or “vanilla” and thus non-optional, RIGHT. Do you really think kink is the root of all (or even the majority of) sexual abuse, or do we also need to revisit the discussion about how the majority of rapists are not in fact The Scary Non-Normative Other and maybe also while we’re at it the discussion about how Not All Assault Involves Physical Force (and all the shitty attendant victim-blaming)? Are you poorly articulating a fear that any act viewed as even halfway “normal” will come to be considered non-optional (totally understandable but you’re still misidentifying the problem) or are you all actually this confused about the concept of consent? Almost every day I think about that first post I saw a few years ago where someone decided that people enjoying the cuteness of otters needed to be destroyed for the sake of ‘reality’ and ‘facts’. The post was open from start to finish that they were telling you that otters did ‘horrible things’ because they wanted to ‘break the illusion’ or whatever. It was full of language and tone that implied or outright said that people were ‘stupid’ or ‘foolish’ for liking otters, and that they should be punished with this information. This fact. This fact that was a twisted form of humans applying their moral concepts on to wild animals, to begin with, but was also simply being put out in to the world to hurt people for liking that animal. And then I think about how everyone started sharing this ‘fact’, post after post sharing the same tone and language of punishment, of implied ‘stupidity’ for ‘not knowing’. People gleefully commented this ‘fact’ on thousands of otter picture posts, they posted it a million times on the otter fan facebooks, they made tiktoks, they hammered it in over and over again. Don’t like otters. Don’t think they’re cute. They’re Bad™️. You’re a Bad™️ person if you like them. And people genuinely believed that. I saw so many people genuinely hurt by this, who thought they were a bad person and needed to stop liking or sharing otter pictures. Or they’d add a little note at the bottom, ‘I know otters are Bad™️ but I still think they’re cute.’ And I can’t not think about how pointlessly fucked up and cruel that entire thing was from the start, and how manipulative and shitty it was. And how it spun out into the universe until even now, on an otter video posted earlier this year, there’s dozens of comments about how otters are Bad™️ because one person decided that this wild animal doing something that is repugnant to humans, the animal with no knowledge that this is Bad™️ or with malicious intent (because it’s a wild fucking animal), meant they needed to hurt and punish anyone who liked that animal. And, finally, that people were so afraid of being seen as morally wrong/Bad™️ that they destroyed their love for this animal on the word of some fucking rando online without stopping to look internally at their own moral compass and understanding of animal behavior.

LUSTMORD: I'm submitting lustmord by jenny holzer! It's an art piece about rape during war, written as a response to the crimes against women during the breakup of Yugoslavia. There's three different mediums: public projection, ink on skin, and engravings on silver bands wrapped around human bones. Each piece was made by taking three poems that Jenny Holzer wrote about rape (one from the perspective of the rapist, one from the victim, and one from a witness), and then displaying a line from each, so that the viewer doesn't know who's point of view it's from. Seeing the tattoos specifically (since that's what I saw first and what I'm most able to speak on), it fucks you up by asking you to consider what emotions are "appropriate" for each role to express. Is the rapist "allowed" to feel safety? Can the victim express cruelty? Can the witness feel scared? I've never seen the bones in person but I imagine they serve to emphasize the role that death plays in a lustmord, which is a german word describing a combined rape-murder. (electricmimikyu)

I think it's general knowledge at this point that Tsams Twitter and Tsams TikTok are very toxic sides of the fandom. Granted, Twitter and TikTok people are just nasty overall. But let me tell you, I didn't expect to experience that level of toxicity on Tsams Instagram.

I tend to ignore hateful comments about my OC x Canon, specifically my OC x Eclipse, art posts but overtime, they got so much worse. They have a problem with my OC because she's female and likes the color peach which is a "girly girl" color. They kept shoving it to me that Eclipse was implied canon gay, therefore, I am "homophobic" for erasing his sexuality to ship him with my female OC. That is a serious accusation to make and if that reaches the wrong audience, then I would have more people harassing me. They called me the r-slur, called my OC a prostitute slut because of her being feminine, and many more name calling to me and my OC.
