Para monitorear a través de interfaz web, los parámetros de mi Raspberry-Pi. Probé rpimonitor, pero no me gustó.

  • Agregar los repositorios
  • Actualizar e instalar
  • Levantar el servicio y dejarlo para que inicie en el arranque
  • El repositorio ya fue agregado en el paso anterior, solo aplicar comando de instalación
  • Editar configuración
  • Buscar la sección [[outputs.influxdb]] y configurar la url http://localhost:8086
  • Reiniciar telegraf
  • $ aptitude install chronograf
  • Abrir navegador y visitar http://localhost:8888
  • Seguir el asistente
  • Completar los parámetros de conexión
  • Dar click en Add Conneciton
  • Agregar repositorios de grafana
  • Actualizar e instalar grafana
  • Levantar grafana
  • Abrir un navegador y visitar http://localhost:3000 y seguir el asistente

Video Tutorial On Building Your Own Raspberry Pi Weather Station With Temp, Humidity and Pressure Is A Great Project For Teenagers

This is an amazingly simple project with only one cheapish component being added. It’s also a great way to see how Python code is used to read it and display the data to a screen or a spreadsheet.

Taking it from this point forward it is not difficult to format that output and send it to Weather Underground or other online weather services. Full-blown weather stations really just o this and include rainfall and wind direction and speed, so I’m wondering about some additional components to try and archive that, because commercial weather stations are pretty expensive now and mine is getting to its autumn years of life. I’ll add that to my todo list.

Booting a Raspberry Pi 4 from a USB device as USB boot is enabled by default on the latest OS

USB 3 drives are faster than SD cards and also way more reliable. An SSD drive could be powered from the Pi itself. But a nano size USB stick is also worth considering. Some good advice in the article below on how to get going with it.

USB boot is enabled by default on the Pi 4B (and the Pi 400, by the way), but there is a small caveat to that. It seems that some early bootloader firmware versions did not properly support this, so you have to be sure that your Raspberry Pi 4 has bootloader eeprom firmware dated Sep 3 2020 or later. If you happen to have an older version, the instructions for updating are given in the USB mass storage boot section of the Raspberry Pi Hardware Documentation.

Was so ein richtiger #RaspberryPi Fan ist der hat nicht nur einen Pi, der hat zwei oder drei oder mehr. Bei mir sind es drei Stück und ich hatte zwei Probleme zu lösen. 1.) Ordnung in meinen Pi Salat bringen und 2.) für eine bessere Kühlung sorgen.

  1. Install Ubuntu (works on Ubuntu Mate, Linux Light, Ubuntu)
  2. Install ROS (http://wiki.ros.org/ROS/Installation)
  3. Install git
  4. Generate ssh key (see git docs) and paste it on your github account
  5. Clone the package you are going to use from github
  6. Install that package, if needed
  7. Create catkin workspace (http://wiki.ros.org/ROS/Tutorials/InstallingandConfiguringROSEnvironment) :
    1. catkin_make
    2. source ~/catkin_ws/devel/setup.bash>>~/.bashrc
    3. echo $ROS
  1. Multiple machines (see ROS docs):
    1. ssh pi@192.168…
    2. /etc/hosts will give us something like 192.168.88.85 bot-pc

Check the user (bot, pi), check the machine in hosts.

Check network setup (see ROS docs):
ping bot-pc
ping pi-desktop
export ROS_IP=192.168…
export ROS_HOSTNAME=192.168…
sudo service restart networking

Than we would do: export ROS_MASTER_URI=http://bot-pc:11311
