Sheepinator : Which has the same function as the Ps4 game

Thumper: Which is the proton drum under a different name

Schrödinger's Gun: an untextured weapon that fires those little alien anklebiters at enemies

The Vulcanic Eruptor: a magma glove that spews lava at it's foes. I wish that weapon replaced the Bombardier

Magna Missile: A rocket launcher weapon that fires a warping vortex that sucks enemies in and spits them out

Predator Launcher: Same function as the weapon from before

Fusion Grenade: the base weapon for the Salad Tosser, the original name for the Topiary Sprinkler

Dimensionator: The Dimensionator was originally supposed to be the weapon that fires portals from rifts, but was changed to the RYNO 8

2 years after Rift Apart’s announcement, 1 year after the game’s release (okay yes, I’m posting this a day early bc I want to-). I’m contemplating to say a lot because I seem to feel this spark with how all of this means to me - I’m back at it again with the stupid, corny stuff, so bare with me for a bit! But anyway, as I still haven’t gotten my hands on a PS5 and Rift Apart (honestly, it’s still unlikely that I’ll ever do so; am I a criminal for having to watch the gameplay and cutscenes?) all I can say is that looking into the R&C community has made me feel better during such tough times. Although my history with the series consist of playing the 2002 game, a demo of Deadlocked, and watching the 2016 movie during lockdown two years ago, I’ve always acknowledged R&C being arguably one of the best series when it comes to looking into the games during the PS2 era and also another overall PlayStation favorite next to Crash and Spyro! I was getting into a bit of a breaking point around the time of Rift Apart’s announcement, but the more hype I was for it the more I was reminded of my speck of fondness for the very first game; if anything, R&C gave me some kind of reset for my content even though I was trying to go onto new horizons at that point! For the talented and amazing people that I’ve stumbled upon in this fandom (and Insomniac-), I’m one to admit that I seem to be a hermit at times but I do want to say thank you for being the greatest community ever; this has been truly a fun experience, and many more to come! And if you are one of the few people who have stumbled upon the R&C content I’ve made atm, thank you and I hope to not disappoint you in the future! Alright, enough sappiness for now - I hope I said everything that I needed to get out of my chest. ♡

So, what better way to celebrate 1 year of the game’s release? Draw Rivet and Kit - I’d like to consider this a sequel piece to my Rift Apart drawing from last year (https://www.deviantart.com/xxhanachanxx/art/RIFT-APART-881837188) as this is my way of including Kit in something! I also originally wanted to finalize this drawing, but due to timing and slacking off this is how far I’m going to go at this point; all of the effort went into drawing Warbot Kit and doing the sky and clouds on SAI lol! 😂 Overall, I hope you enjoy and have an amazing weekend~ 💛💛💛

odd ask, but what are games one would describe as "walking simulators" that are in fact a game where i could just wander around a nice environment and explore without arcade reflexes or obtuse puzzle solving ever becoming inhibitors, that you would reccomend?

like i literally do just want space out and look at pretty unreal zone, it need not be remotely realistic or lush with detail (one of my favorites to replay now and then is Electric Highways which is VERY surreal, LSD Dream Emulator Style but kinda better imo), just gotta be like. interesting or pretty or soothing to wander in.

even if its not a walking simulator per se but it is otherwise ripe with pretty easy/accessible areas where just wandering around n Lookin is a viable options?

would love suggestions, please and thank you!

edit: my options are PC and PS4, and i am not going to be buying new consoles or gadgets or gizmos anytime soon, i can't afford that lmao

Who is Pom Pom?

Pom Pom is a virus/glitch formed by the scrapped side-scrolling arcade game from the early 90's “Pom-Pom Panic”. Pom Pom (the main character of Pom Pom Panic) for whatever reason gained sentience halfway during the game’s development. The game was cancelled halfway because the publishing company thought it was too bizarre of a concept and mascot character to gain interest. Pom Pom heard of the news and took it way too personally, as she literally cannot fathom why someone would think she’s ‘bizarre’-even to the point of getting ‘axed’. Prompted by the ‘poor judgement’ Pom Pom went rouge-breaking from her game to ‘axe’ any ‘approved’ game mascots/characters she thought could count as ‘bizarre’ like her.
