Excellent piece by The Rational National showing that, in fact, the right has moved very far right over the past few decades while the left has, for the most part, not moved very much, and the areas in which it has moved have general support (e.g. gay marriage, legal weed).
That said, I want to bring up another point: Musk argues that the left has moved further left while he hasn’t changed. Ok, let’s say that’s true. So what?
Societies evolve as our collective knowledge, understanding, and experience grows. People within society are expected to grow with it. This is why we cringe when an old people say things reflecting very outdated values. Imagine if musk said he was ok with slavery and argued that, “well, the democratic party USED to be ok with it... so it’s not my fault if everyone else changed. I’m a *real* Democrat.” Clearly, a very backwards and idiotic argument. Same thing here.
You are responsible for growing with society. Society isn’t expected to stay the same forever and halt its progress.
So if the left is pushing for ideas that are new to you, that you weren’t aware of when you were younger, that’s not an excuse to automatically dismiss them, or an excuse for staying the same. If you were for human rights when applied to black people in the 60s, then why aren’t you for human rights for lgbtq people today? The left isn’t changing principles, only expanding its consciousness. People like musk, however, often have views that are not rooted in a philosophy but just the quirk of the time in which they grew up. This is why they can’t seem to evolve, to grow with the times. They’re stuck and expect everyone else to stay stuck with them, until the only people with their views are the group literally called “conservatives” bc they almost deliberately refuse to evolve with the times.
so yeah, fuck musk.

So because I am crazy and insane, I went ahead and played against Al-Haitham numerous time in order to figure out ALL the cards that are apart of his deck.
You see, when m*hoyo creates decks for our playable characters, multiple things obviously come into play:
- Do the cards synergies well with one another? - Does the element duo open interesting event card and/or action card? - Do the character apart of the deck know each other/have a good relationship with one another? - What character card are currently available? - etc.
You know, basics. Not every point have to check out, of course. But most do. Kind of the way a non-sweaty player would think. And so while I was surprised and delighted to see Cyno in Al-Haitham deck, I had to rationalize my delusions.
"Oh, it’s for electro resonance. The card he’s playing bursts down his opponent. He will need the energy." Okay, very true rational me, but then again, why Cyno? Based on your assumption, would Raiden’s card not have been more sutible? Perhaps Kujou Sara who thrives in quicken decks…
"Maybe because his deck takes advantage of sumerian event cards which only activates when two character cards are from Sumeru" True true true. Damn. Perhaps, you are right. I’m just delusional, but I am content… unless. Isn’t D*ri from Sumeru? Which raises my question again…UGH. No no actually, you are probably right. Most certainly right, rational me. But I must see him use it myself. To appease my insanity.
So I played against Mr Scribe. Only to beat him in four rounds. So I matched us again. And again. And again. I think our longest match was 11 rounds? No matter. My point is, he did not use a card which REQUIRES two sumerian. Not once. He sure damn used the electro resonance card though, I can assure you that!
I even went to check other characters decks, keeping in mind what event/action card were available when they came out. And like, if I can grossly summarize, you have type
A) They are lowkey meta decks (i.e. Wanderer)
or type
B) They are definitely… decks (i.e. Klee)
Guess where I would categorize Al-Haitham’s deck? He’s soooo likeeee (it’s type B by the way). I’m probably trying to rationalize it because I genuinely thought he’d do something so stupidly meta and he just… did not? And even if he did, I thought it would have a strategy that isn’t "rely on Cyno’s card when all turns to shit". Like sir! Please stop making me like your pairing more and more it was not supposed to be like this.

I believe the nations' anatomy would differ a bit from an average human since they're immortal. Their anatomy would also differ from eachother as they evolve 1000 times faster than the homosapien species for their own enviroments and reasons, for example:
France's voicebox would be just on the same level as his chin because he kept getting decapitated so overtime, he evolved a voicebox in a higher place so he could speak after getting his head cut off, as well as an organ inside his head that stores blood supply from the heart so he can breath and think without the use the heart which is in the body, letting either his new body grow or reattach himself with his current body if he was lucky enough for someone to help him do so.

especially bc if theres one thing speaking to ppl on complicated subjects has taught me, and actually getting across to them, is that actually, yea. often times being able to talk and rationalize and keep your cool achieves 3000% more than yelling, screaming, insulting, or anything else does. oh, it sure is harder. oh, its an emotional toll. and you really wanna just call them stupid or tell them to fuck off. but the changes of getting somewhere are much better
there are people which will not change. there are ppl which do not want to hear. there are people which are set to remain in their ways..... but many people are capable of change. maybe people are capable of growth..... and i think... ultimately many ppl wanna be "good," whatever good means in their eyes. and playing off of that to your advantage helps
