Lasers, hugs, kandi, and music loud enough to make you vibrate isn’t what I would have put under the list: “Things That Make Me Better” a handful of years back. However, today, these are now under that list, but it’s also deeper than that.

The Rave Community #plur has opened my eyes to not just cool music and fun outfits, but a new way of life and how I see myself. I did not know that it was possible to find a community that accepts me for who I am and show me what love actually looks like. I was shown that love does exist and how to show up as someone who spreads #BigLove .

I had found myself stuck in a place of no exploration. No support group. No idea of who i was and found myself competing against people I claimed to be my friends. I wasn’t allowing others to love me or allowing myself to be there for others. More importantly though, I did not show up for myself. I did not love myself enough to put boundaries up, to listen to myself, to stand up for myself, etc. It wasn’t until I saw people in the #RaveCommunity being themselves freely and loving so freely and being there for others no matter who they were, that I started to look inwards a little more. While I had practiced mindfulness and being observant and self aware, I wasn’t so great at actually putting these into practice. When I found this community I started finding the practice of #plur outside of #raves and became more confident in myself.

To be able to walk into a crowd of strangers, head banging to what sounds like transformers fighting or fucking(it would be hard to tell the difference anyway), and know that I am in a safe place is astounding to me and makes me feel like I am home each time I go out. Now of course you should still be careful no matter where you go, ESPECIALLY if you go alone. The rave community, however, still makes me feel a little safer than most and has changed the way I treat people and myself.

My thing at work is making people custom singles if they’ve been having a rough time (I forgot to take pictures sadly) and I’m currently putting together a kandi package for a coworker who also goes to raves and fests 😊

i love qsmp because it forces me to like. actually work on my language skills. like so often i find myself watching content in portuguese with spanish translations. so im watching content in the language im trying to learn with subtitles in my second language and i know that my brain is actually working and learning yippie
