i wish the fast reblog bubbles were consistent >.> like... I Know i shouldn't develop a muscle memory for them but i DO and i end up putting stuff on the wrong blog p often bc they get shuffled around.

what if instead of floating random bubbles it just had like a popup list u could slide ur finger to - and depending on how many side-blogs u had u could scroll down to share to one of the other ones too by letting go over it.

on that note too just like, having zero control over which specific blogs do(n't) appear in the fast rb bubbles.. i feel like there r actually GOOD useful updates that could be pursued over having a snooze button for live no one asked for and pushing the TumblrTV UI to be applied to all images and videos on the regular dash (that again, no one asked for).

they could also have a much better feature testing/reception workflow than how they currently do things, like maybe ppl who have tumblr labs enabled can do beta testing and give feedback instead of pushing features onto a much larger scale of people and rolling it back, maybe, because of all the backlash over it.

idk. I'm just thinking about the direction of things and how it's been going on here 😐 like The Good Thing about tumblr is its community and wherever we are in the long run we'll make it work, but these days I think A LOT about the thermocline of trust thread and wonder:

how much longer until tumblr hits it bc tbh i can tell the user base is becoming more n more fed up over each change and

what that next platform we're gonna move to will be.

i don't quite understand why some anons go after you for being what they call 'pessimistic'

soooo many tumblr blogs use their blog as a kind of diary and I don't think them posting their problems on their blog means this is their attitude 24/7 IRL

for example i sometimes would post stuff like 'i hate myself i wish i was dead' and then i go rb something or go offline

and i think this applies to you too

in my eyes you use your blog to vent or whatever your reason is THE SAME WAY EVERYONE DOES ON THIS HELLSITE it just so happens that you have more people following you but i bet some blog with 2 follower on here posts as much as you but no one goes after them for that

(Obviously what we think or write will influence us and yes we still have some responsibility in what we share but i think its unfair when many people use tumblr for very personal reasons and people try to exclude you from that or your followers forget that you are just a blog as same as everyone else on here)

oh thanks!! thank you <3 this is really sweet and understanding. ya i never voice my issues IRL the way i do on here, i barely speak IRL. that was the whole point of this blog when i made it back in the day, you know it's just like catharsis or whatever, it's just a blog. not some damning admittance of my constant real-world pessimism i mean. i just react to the situations i'm in, i think like everyone does yk, and if it's not happy it's not happy! let me talk about it with no filter in one singular place and then log off and eat an ice cream sandwich and cope. god lol

obv ppl can have their opinions and perspectives but yeah i really don't think i'm overly negative or some major downer compared with the thousands of others who vent on here constantly. like we're all just sharing little snippets of our thoughts and feelings and that's the whole thing, i like it, my mutuals do it and i love it. but i mean whatever honestly i'm not going to fake a faux positive perspective on my own complex life just to appease randoms on here - who frankly have a very surface level idea of what i deal with and what my reality is like anyway due to the distant nature of social media. nobody knows anyone on here, and i think they forget that when they talk to me the way they do sometimes. but it's cool, i think the ppl who are super caring far outweigh the ppl who are always in ppl's inboxes being antagonistic. just comes with being online i think especially being vulnerable online, and i take the good with the bad in that regard. you're an angel and i appreciate this a ton! also ur english is genuinely great! x

hi i was watching the 2015 preseason testing, and some of the liveries for the cars were rly funky and not their usual designs (the red bull covered in doodles and the mercedes looked like a like green paintbomb had been thrown at one side of it)

is this a usual tactic by teams after a regulation change (and if so, will they do it this year) or was something special going on at the time

(also ur blog is v helpful and interesting btw :D)

So the green in the Merc photo is actually a thin paint that they apply to the cars or certain parts, for teams to see the airflow over the car it’s called flow-vis, there is a very good article about it here, teams will often put it on their car in practice sessions if they are testing a new part as well.

In terms of the Red Bull photo, RB used to do really fun preseason testing liveries using this type of design which is a play on digital camouflage and was both used as a cool design but also to disguise the shape of the car specifically the curvature.

Other than Alfa Romeo I think every team will be running their ‘normal’ livery at preseason testing this year.
