@rcguna asked : Hugs him.
ugh, not again. ever since he had officially agreed ( grudgingly, might he add ! ) to allow the earthmate to call himself his friend, the man had seemingly decided to embark on a one - man quest to prove himself as aggravating as possible to the former priest, through means of ... physical contact, of all things.
the occasional shoulder tapping and arm bumping had been fine - hell, he himself was guilty of the same, although he personally was partial more to manners of mischief, pinching and hair pulling and the like. he still, of course, preferred to be the initator - all things on one’s own terms and such - but little touches like these were ... tolerable. but as their respective levels of comfort and familiarity began to rise, so too did these displays begin to become more frequent. and evolve. and turn into ... this.
hugging. ugh. what was next, holding hands ? braiding each others’ hair ? had the man no sense of pride ? no - no, of course he didn’t, this was the earthmate he was talking about, after all.
kindness was one thing, but genuine affection, intimacy - these things, he had always reasoned, were best doled out like candy ; a reward, a gift given every now and again to whet the appetite, only to be denied again and left wanting more, anxiously awaiting when next such a delicacy may be savored again. make your attention, your favor, a prize to be sought out and earned. let others believe that they need you, far more than you need them.
but the earthmate, he noticed, gave his affection freely - almost unconditionally, it seemed. because of course he did, he was a simple - minded fool, one that just so happened to be able to harness the might of nature’s power at his fingertips. the man held all the optimism and naïveté of a child, and spread his warmth as such : helping anyone in need, openly spouting his appreciation and fondness for others, always smiling and laughing and encouraging and touching and hugging -- it was baffling. even stranger still was his uncanny knack of befriending the most unlikely of people, even those who had once been his enemy.
even those who had hurt people. even those who weren’t deserving.
was there a certain sort of freedom in such a way of living ? perhaps -- he could certainly imagine how such simple - mindedness, such ... honesty, could appeal to others. but even if he was someone who such a thing appealed to - which he wasn’t - the days in which he could live such a life were long over. such was the road to repentance. that was all there was to it.
there was depressingly little he could do for now. he had long since learned his lesson that trying to escape was a fool’s errand ; any movement only seemed to make the other man latch on tighter. no, it was best to wait out whatever ludicrous urge had overtaken him. his only hope for now was to be patient -- stock - still, spine stretched taut, aquamarine eyes staring hopelessly up to the sky above as his tail twitched uneasily behind his back.
‘ ... is it over ? are we done ? ’ the words tumbled out of his mouth, stilted, second in awkwardness only to how he felt. the man was warm - too warm, really - and his hold on him was gentle, yet firm. comforting, almost. enough so that it was almost soothing, encouraging him to relax, if only by a hair, if only for a second --
a clumsy hand clapped the earthmate’s back - perhaps with a bit too much force - once, twice. a silent plea for reprieve.
‘ yes, yes, friendship, very good and all that. can we be finished now ? ’

@rcguna liked this for a starter. | Dusty.
This was... new to say the least. Dustin knew that venturing further from the shack he called a home would lead to discovering new places, yet he was astonished to stumble across a tilled field of all things during his meanderings, crops of various kinds sprouting from the dark soil almost like weeds. It wasn’t a leap in logic to assume that this was someone’s farm. A big farm, at that. Bigger than any he’s seen by a long shot. However, there wasn’t trees towering over the field like the all the ones back home.
Forest green hues snapped towards the sound of a hoe striking the earth mere feet from him. Obviously, it was a farmer, though whether it was his land or he just worked here was something he’d find out later. Right now... he needed to address the fact he was unintentionally trespassing onto the property. “... apologies, but I had no idea a farm was out here.”

@rcguna said: "Yeah, I think whatever got into my cellar was after the cheese I was aging. A wheel of it was torn up. If it was a raccoon it was very messy, and now probably very full." Raguna sighs, but he doesn't seem too upset. "Shouldn't be too difficult to fix up though. Better than a fox or mink getting in somewhere."
She makes a face somewhere between thoughtful and sympathetic, considering the scene in her mind’s eye while cutting a little rectangle from a square dish, plating the cranberry crumb bar and gently plonking it down in front of him. “well, I’d say ‘poor thing’ for th’ tummy problems I reckon they’re ‘bout t’ suffer, but I guess that’s just comeuppance, isn’t it?” she teases, a little, before canting her head to the other side.
“s’pose you’re gonna have t’ go around and check for any gaps near th’ foundation, make sure they haven’t made a den anywhere close by... it doesn’ sound like too much, but if you need any help, I’ve got th’ time on my hands.” she didn’t keep any animals as of yet, after all, so the cold coming in meant a lot less work in the fields to keep her busy.

housewife is different than malewife though!.... still hurts the ego
He has been called many things: housewife, househusband, malewife, queen.
You just learn to accept it. Fighting will only make things worse, Raguna-san.

It had been many miles of travelling on horseback, and some on foot, that she and the troupe she has been travelling with finally reached the village they would be setting up camp at for the next few days. Emma was completely exhausted, and she would love nothing more than to lie in her cot and sleep away the next few days. But the leader of the troupe insisted on a performance after only a short period of rest.
The troubadour was one of the star performers with her singing voice, so it was no surprise that she was on deck. Ah, it looks like there was no way to weasel out of this one. Not that she normally would, but she was just so tired.
But, the caravan leader argued, her vocal chords weren’t. And that’s why she was in the front of the group in her performer’s garb.
She began her song. She wasn’t doing a full-on dance like she normally would, that was left to the featured dancers, but she was moving and swaying along to the music.
When the song was over, she hadn’t even broken a sweat, but the townspeople were begging for an encore. Looks like she would be here for a while.

“That won’t be a problem! Just stay out of the War, and if you can’t, be sure you’re on my side of it.”
“You are on my side, aren’t you Raguna?~”

@rcguna said: "What does that even mean?!"
A playful shove was given as though he were part of some sort of joke.
“Now, now. You know exactly what that means, don’t play dumb with me! It’s what you are now. From number one turnip manic to ultimate princess simp, you’ve really got on top of things and skill up your stats! It’s like watching some sort of monster evolve. I’m impressed. Nice job, Raguna!”
“Still, you have a pretty amazing type there. I thought you’d simp for turnips more. What a sad day for the turnips...”

Raguna gives Jin a potted cactus.
This is...actually quite nice. Despite the cruelty and hatred the blonde threw Raguna's way, he was still willing to give him such a thoughtful gift. Did he deserve such a thing after the way he had acted? What did he do to deserve such a kindness..? He couldn't help but wonder what he should do...
'Have I been wrong? Perhaps I should...change my ways...Treat this man with respect. Maybe there's a chance that I could even call him my...friend...'
"NAH!"
Without an ounce of hesitation, Jin slings the prickly plant into the farmer's face with all his might! He picks up the cactus, dusts it off and places it right on his desk. This will make for great memories any time he takes a glace at it, no doubt. Thank you, Raguna Glen...

@rcguna asked: 13 and 15!
Questions for Muns of Canon Muses - Accepting!
13. What canon character do you really wish your muse could interact more with?
I’m going to guess/limit this to Danganronpa canon characters, but I’m happy to take this question again for other fandoms (please specify the fandom, though! And understand I may not be familiar with it)! There’s just a lot of characters in DR, and many that I haven’t built long-term threads with. So I’ll focus on that for this answer:
- Byakuya. Not only do they have the Rich Kids background, but they have very different values/interests that could clash quite a bit. The Ultimate Summer Camp scene between them in the library is proof enough of that. So many relationship options here.
- Celestia. Always. Not only do I love them as friends, but if the chemistry is there, I love them as a romantic couple. This is a situation of some similar interests, some jealousy, but ultimately two people who could stand to learn a lot from one another.
- Sayaka. I allude to her a bit in our interactions with Eira, but this is Sonia’s touchstone when discussing idols/idol culture. But both Sayaka and Sonia deal with people prioritizing them for their beauty and putting them on pedestals, and they’d likely bond over that. They’re both pretty friendly people, too.
- Mondo. I’d love to see Sonia interact with Mondo! She could help him talk to girls more easily and in turn, he’d help her rebel a bit more. Let Sonia ride the motorcycle!
- Akane. Both of them are survivors and they have very different ideas about family dynamics and responsibilities. And uh, there’s that scene where Sonia insists Akane shouldn’t give away her body for free and admires her chest.
- Peko. Especially in my TalentSwap verse if Peko’s talent stays the same, but I love these two bonding (and possibly dating). I’m also weak for the cheerful, happy character paired with the stern, somewhat grumpy or shy character. They will love petting soft, furry, cute animals together.
- Kazuichi. Look, the guy gets a lot of teasing/shit on this blog. However, I’ve never had a long-term interaction with a Kazuichi and I’d love that. Character growth post-SDR2? A Non-Despair AU as adults where they’ve been forced to grow up and change (both Kaz and Sonia)? Please. I’d love it. If the chemistry and interest was there, I’d even ship them romantically too.
- Gonta. GONTA. I wanted interactions with Gonta and Sonia even before their scene in Ultimate Summer Camp but it just proves my point: Sonia will appreciate his bugs and will love hearing about how he grew up and in return, she will help him learn how to be a proper gentleman. Thank you, DR: S, for giving us at least ONE scene of these two.
- Kirumi. Mostly due to DR: S interactions at this point, but Kirumi and Sonia working together? With or without weapons? Unstoppable.
- Rantaro. Adventurous muse with Rich Family Problems and so many younger siblings interacting with Sonia? She will give him a lifetime’s supply of chocolate while they discuss their travels and family dynamics. I see Rantaro and Sonia striking up a friendship where they can tell each other anything...if they can track down where the other is. They share a lot of photos with one another on social media of their busy, well-traveled lives as university students and adults. (This may or may not have been written entirely for @despairfiles )
I’m sure there’s more (I’ve talked about Fuyuhiko recently, for example), but here’s a good starter list of canon interactions I’d love over here.
15. What plots/interactions leave you feeling protective of your muse?
Answered right over here.

She’s only been in town for a week but already the young woman felt more comfortable here than back at home; getting primped and doted on by relatives and staff alike, it was as if her status meant nothing here and frankly it was a breeze of fresh air. Out of all of them a lone farmer was more than helpful and this gesture of delivering desserts was out of sheer thanks, even venturing out to his farm by herself.
It was fairly easy to hear him working outside and my chance that he was out there at all. Now Matilda has to muster up some courage to hand the pastries to him upfront. Calling out to him, she didn’t anticipate being actually invited or so close to him caused her cheeks to reddened some. Inside it’s as she expected smell-wise, the scent of the earth and some vegetables stored away, even the slight twinge of iron from his well used tools and now the scent of tea leaves. Matilda makes a mental note to bring him a few of her homegrown ones in the future.
“Okay? I’m more than glad to hear such news!” The woman is beaming as she clasps her hands together. “Though it’s a months time away I should be able to come back in time. Lately my father has been more relaxed about me visiting and I have my handmaiden with me at times. I must thank the mayor for this opportunity... having not one but two people move in with the idea of starting a business, it’s a difficult decision for any community. I’d like to make pastries and such but just between you and me, I think I’d just like to live here but that reason alone wouldn’t be enough.”
