Aw no bc I'm drawing inspiration from one line in something I re-read this morning that was an original piece written by a cutie bc it would fit this so nicely 🥵

Like maybe you and Bucky both move on and get remarried but there are still those desperate, needy hookups because no matter how hard you try, you can't stay away from each other.

They'd be awfully intimate though, his plump, wet lips trailing up your neck, latching onto your earlobe, allowing his teeth to sink into the soft flesh just a little. You can hear every little pant and groan from him like this, enjoying every sound you coax out of him.

"Fuck, nothing feels as good as you do, sweetheart." He groans, giving you slow leisurely thrusts, enjoying the way your body envelops him so entirely.

It's an awfully simple admission but the weight behind it is staggering.

"I know what you mean. He's not you." You know you mean that with your entire heart and it's so damn wrong to compare your new husband to your ex-husband but it's hard not to.

"I'll always be yours, you know that? Fuckin' ruined me for anyone else." He tries to ease the tension with a half laugh but it doesn't help. It's a lot of weight to add to a casual affair but it feels so right with him.

"And I'm gonna keep ruining you, Buck." You're desperately trying to shift the mood, making sure you both avoid saying something you'll regret. Before he knows it, you've manoeuvred him so he's flat on his back, his cock back inside you and his hands on your hips to help you grind yourself on him.

"I'll let you ruin me any time, bunny. Just say the word." He has that lazy, half smirk on his face, watching how you fuck yourself on him. You're right where you belong, on top of him, stuffed full of his dick, taking what you need.

Your hand trails over your own body, teasing yourself, putting on a show for him and slipping into the moment and he can't help but notice your ring finger is bare. You've taken your new wedding ring off and for the time being, it almost feels like you're his again.

"That's it, use me. You feel like a dream. We shouldn't need this the way we do. God, this is wrong." He can't tear his eyes away from where your bodies are joined, knowing how much you love being on top. "You have any idea how much I love seeing you fill that slutty, desperate little married pussy with my dick? 'M right where I should be. Buried so deep inside my little slut. The change of pace is so welcome, straying away from feelings and into safer, filthier territory.

I've been wanting to start collecting my all time favorite stories in ages but never knew where to start, there are just too many talented souls out there. A lazy day of re-reading favorites makes me want to finally give it a try though.

Featuring today: stories that defy my usual hunting patterns but still became all time favourites against all odds. Stories leaving me utterly gobsmacked thinking "That was so, soo awsome... but how on earth did I end up in this fandom / character / trope tag of all places?".

@messy-insomniac-bookgirl Let's be honest: this writer is the spirit animal of this specific selection. Never heard of the fandom? Dislike the protagonist with a passion? Doesn't matter: she writes it, I devour and love it. The reason? Dense and hugely rewarding story-telling, perfect pacing, side characters you want to adopt on the spot, delicious slow burns with sooo much yearning. And, most importantly, the awesome female OCs. I am in love with each and every one of them, regardless who they share a screen with. It's almost impossible to select just one story for this list but let's go for "Keep Calm and Buckle Up" (AO3) for suddenly making me feel things when Steve Rogers entered the stage in "Infinity War". Steve Rogers x OFC, James "Bucky" Barnes x OFC, Steve x Bucky x OFC. Action, slow burn, emotional roller coaster rides. Rated E.

@batsingotham "Written in the stars" (AO3) I don't do Soul Mate AUs. I don't do Robert Pattinson characters. For me the best things about "The Batman" were Andy Serkis' Alfred and 3 hours of Niravana in a loop. But the undisputed goddess queen of slow burn domestic fluff overruled all of that. Bruce Wayne/Reader. Soulmate AU. Dorks in love. Bruce needs a hug and Alfred has the patience of a saint. Rated M.

"Sweet Conversations" by @glassgulls Lord of the Rings has been living in my head rent free ever since I was a teenager but I simply don't do Elves. Period. Yes, Glorfindel is very cool and Lee Pace's Thranduil is an absolute vision (the costumes, the voice and the make up, mind you, don't get me started on any other aspect of the Hobbit movies though...) but otherwise? Thanks but no thanks. Nevertheless: the award for best fictional kiss I’ve come across in ages goes to this gem. Amazing scene setting and character work for something so short. Leaves you weak-kneed and high as a kite on serotonin for the rest of the day. Haldir/Reader. One-shot. Rated M.

„Ownership of Mine“ by @amywritesthings . Okay, lets be honest, peeps: Prison settings for a romance story? Seriously? Who in their right mind would be able to think about romance and seduction when all of your freedom is taken away, you are crammed into a small and dark space with people of questionable character and put under constant surveilance. Well… apparently I can… with this story. Even if that tag is a big red NO GO sign for me otherwise. Amazingly dense story telling and atmosphere building in just 3 short chapters. Kino Loy/Reader. Rated E.

„Directions“ by @zinzinina . Probably a sure sign that I am getting too old for all of this but tags about age gaps, first love or first times usually make me run for the hills. Add a character like Poe Dameron (I mean: come on! Howww…?!) to the mix and there is not enough willing suspension of disbelieve in the world to get me immersed in the plot. Or so I thought. BUCKY BARNES : RESIDENT EVIL VERSE.

considered dead since 1945, former united states army soldier ja.mes bar.nes slowly faded into history, the world unaware of how history was being shaped by his very hands. found by soviet soldiers after a near-fatal accident, barnes was taken as a prisoner of war before carefully being crafted into a powerful weapon : the perfect soldier. for decades, a brainwashed barnes was used by the soviets to carry out their will, all for them and against others. but in 1991 with the fall of the soviet union, a shift came to the existence of the winter soldier.

former kgb general aleksander lukin becomes the sole inheritor of the winter soldier project and program as he begins to grow his very own company : the kronas corporation. using the winter soldier for personal gain in the form of personal vendettas and business "negotiations," kronas and lukin quickly grow into powerful forces. and more changes come in the mid-90s when lukin enters a new deal with the umbrella corporation.

while kronas had a record of buying out and absorbing other companies for lukin's gain (oil and energy, private security, water, real estate, etc.), he saw the potential of a quid pro quo arrangement with umbrella and the reaches they had across their own businesses, especially as pharmaceuticals is one area kronas had not yet expanded to in order to further lukin's reach in the country.

at some point, early in their dealings, lukin revealed the winter soldier to those in umbrella he was in contact with. while initially using him as a threat to gain loyalty, individuals with umbrella were intrigued — but lukin was steadfast in his secrecy surrounding his agent. as part of their agreement, as long as it's seen as mutually beneficial, lukin allows the higher-ups of the umbrella corporation to use the winter soldier for their own gain — on lukin's terms, of course.

one such time came during the aftermath of racoon city's destruction. in the few years between the incident and umbrella's involvement becoming public, the winter soldier emerged once again, this time in search of survivors that the umbrella corporation saw as a threat, at the time ; individuals such as jill valentine and leon s. kennedy (among others) were targeted for elimination.

while lukin agreed, umbrella's wishes were no top priority for him. lukin had already begun the process of dissolving any connection kronas may have to umbrella, even privately, as a precaution, as he would not allow what he'd built to be dragged down by them. ultimately, all assassination attempts failed (for various reasons), to umbrella's detriment, but lukin saw this as no real loss.

in the years following umbrella's dissolution, lukin only mildly involved himself with any of umbrella's competition that took the opportunity to rise now that they were gone. he made it his business to keep his eyes on any other golden opportunities, seeing as the partnership with umbrella amounted to nothing, in his eyes.

years later, bucky barnes has managed to escape from lukin, regaining his memories of his earlier life. after having been granted a conditional pardon by the president, barnes largely lives as a civilian. that is until the government decides to begin calling him off the books to deal with various things they deem threatening ...

NOTICE : i still consider myself only marginally familiar with resident evil and its canon. i am constantly learning. while i haven't personally played any of the games, i have watched playthroughs of the first four and i've tried to do as much reading about the canon/timeline as i can. feel free to correct me if i ever get things wrong—or i'll probably be asking a lot of questions. as i get more familiar with RE, i may make adjustments to this verse, or i may change things simply from plotting with people.
