Hey, just a heads up that the RL team recently mentioned in response to an ask that Daniela and Angie are cousins who see each other like sisters, so you may or may not end up getting hate from people who don’t know about your past involvement with the project and the vision you had for the characters before they were passed on and written differently.

I’ve already gotten questionable messages and asks with rather immature vocabulary involved so it’s water off my shoulders. The fact that so many people already love the character interpretation and the ship and love the blog and are finding comfort and new friends here is what matters- not what some choice people have to say about fictional women in love.

And just as a side note, (remember that I’m blocked so all I know is what I’ve been told)- I don’t appreciate the RL Team shooting down the passion of the fandom and the free will to interpret and make things different. I understand there are suspicious people online, but part of the reason why RE8 blew up the way it did was because the VA’s and team were so supportive and soaked in new ideas, memes- even joining and encouraging- and making a community that felt like every voice was heard.

RL being such a passion project where the team has an entire document for the lore is amazing and impressive- absolutely- but the fandom will die if they don’t allow people to take that story and have their own fun with it. That’s the fun of a fandom, how you stay passionate about something, and how you connect with others.

People are already taking parts of Paradoxical and screenshotted them as meme templates! K2 and I have fun with the story, and I’ve watched people connect over trivial things- from everyone fighting over Bela- to folks in my dm’s. What matters is that yall here supporting me are having fun, rekindling your love for these games and characters, and finding a place to nurture that love in a safe and healthy way. Hate is trivial when compared to that, at least I think so<3

Edit: also there are dangie posts from when I was still on the team and you can clearly see that they did intend Daniela and Angie to be a poly option, but then scrapped it.
