I managed to finish this book yesterday, as it was my goal to at least read two books this month. I really liked it and I liked the many points that author brings up about Canada. There were many plot twists and the ending wasn’t what I expected but I liked that. Would recommend if you’re into missing persons type of books.
Just keep in mind there are many topics that require a TW so keep that in mind if you’re interested 📖

I'm dreaming of cooler days and snuggling up with a book. At least I can remember the good times I was #LostInABook with a reading log journal.

Read.
My mother told me to read. So I did.
Reading, Growing up in a home filled with forced realities at the age of 6, I longed to get away.
To escape my world. Maladaptive Daydreaming.
But then I met books, I came to love the feeling of the soft paper between my fingertips.
I searched for a world to engulf my own.
However, they engulfed me such as the sun did to Icarus.
The flames, though beautiful, stung deeply into my very core.
Even the fall was enjoyable for a moment.
Reading has become a borderline addiction.
Yes, I enjoy it, It can't really hurt me,
but it can.
My need to escape is bordering on painfull.
I forget who I am when I read,
But then again. I guess that's the point.
To forget.
