1. what is your degree/ favourite subject?

i’m a biochem BSc graduate working on her pharmaceutical tech MSc; since my MSc classes are modular, i’ve only had two subjects yet, so i’ll answer with my faves from my biochem degree: histology, secondary metabolism and microbiology!

2. where are you from?

tricky question. i live and was raised in portugal, but i was born in the netherlands, my mom is portuguese (azorean, that’s different from mainland portuguese tbh) and my dad is lithuanian. i’m a proper mix.

3. what motivates you to study?

the feeling of having my life together, ngl. it’s so rewarding to feel like i cleared off my checklist for the day, like i pushed myself to reach extents i never had before — and of course, the results. i live for praise lmao i can’t say i have a lofty and pure vocation or inspiration here sorry

4. what do you love about yourself?

psychologically... i’m just me, but i’ll be damned if i’m not smug about it sometimes ahah. i love my sense of aesthetics and how i can read people and situations easily, and my skill with words. physically, i love how i stand out, even if i’m not the most conventional beauty out there my look is definitely memorable.

5. what time do you do your best studying?

after dinner and before breakfast. interestingly, i can’t pull all nighters, so i have to condense my bursts of productivity into a few hours, usually.

6. what is your favourite TV show?

i don’t watch much tv, honestly. the only shows i’m actually keeping up with are friends and game of thrones, so

7. best self-care tip for exam season?

wake up early and use the extra time to move your body, be it a gym session or a chill yoga video or whatever. it’ll put you in the right disciplined mindset

8. do you listen to music when you study?

usually, yes. i dislike silence, i get antsy and start feeling lonely.

9. what is your favourite book?

deathless, by catherynne m. valente.

10. where do you do your best studying?

at the public library, for sure. i get distracted and lazy in my bedroom, and the uni library is a mental breakdown-inducing chaos.

11. what do you get complimented on often?

physically, my hair, my lips and my makeup/”clear” skin (it’s foundation honey). psychologically/etc., my skills with writing (especially in english) and public speaking. i used to get complimented on my drawings, but i don’t draw much now.

12. where would you like to live in the future?

lithuania, the netherlands, a nordic country... not in the city though. i detest them. four years trapped in one will quite suffice, thank you.

13. how long have you been active on your studyblr?

it’s been just over 2 years now!

14. favourite way to spend study breaks?

snacking, watching youtube videos, moving around, dancing to a song that makes me happy, messaging my friends.

15. what is your favourite study snack?

popcorn, fresh or dehydrated fruits, but more often than not just a big old bowl of tea (mugs are too small for my tea consumption rate).

I studied Business Management at undergraduate and Creative Writing and Publishing for my masters, but my favourite subject is probably literature (although I’m trying to broaden my horizons, so if anybody has any unusual/underrated subject recommendations let me know!)

Now it’s curiosity, a love of learning and boredom(?). When I was at school/uni it was the anxiety of being in trouble or doing badly...lol

I always try to be kind and hopeful

The evening/night

Probably Criminal Minds or B99

7. Best self-care tip for exam season?

Sleep, water, healthy food, breaks, don’t be afraid or ashamed to ask for help or tell someone if you are struggling!

Not really, but I do like having the tv on as background noise.
