opened my last department show at school tonight and not only one it one of the most incredible pieces of theatre i’ve ever had the privilege of working on as a dramaturg but also the weight of this being my final show within my phd program hit me like a freight train (which is why i am so honored to have a show this impactful as my final show like there is no high note as high as this)

Wouldn't it be fun if Elesa and Emmet saw the championship battle for Sinnoh on TV, and go: huh, it's something familiar about that kid
They catch a replay- Cynthia once dropped in to Unova to challenge the Battle Subway in the eleven years since Ingo's disappearance. Emmet remembers her well both because she was verrry strong, and both because they wound up talking about the people they'd lost. Cynthia told him about the missing girl that she'd taken under her wing after she'd beat her in a Championship battle, and he told her about his brother and how they used to battle together.
So when Emmet hears someone beat Sinnoh's Champion, of course he's curious! Cynthia is verrry strong, and he watches the match with Elesa, both paying rapt attention to the battle. The young trainer is verrry talented, Emmet but there's something about the way he directs his Pokemon, the way he still frowns even after he wins that reminds him a bit about Ingo. Over a TV screen though, he doesn't make the link he will later.
He and Elesa chat about the trainer for a few days- his name is Nobori, apparently- and then he's forgotten. At least until Elesa sees the list of trainers tackling the Gym Challenge for that year and finds that same Nobori registered. She tells Emmet of course, and he hopes he'll come by the Battle Subway! He would love a chance to battle him, so he makes Elesa promise to recommend it if he hasn't by the time he reaches her gym.
(Emmet watches the match again later, once he knows the truth. Now he knows why the boy seemed so familiar.)

I keep watching the last trailer. I’m so fucking excited!! The music is really hyping me up and I’m so looking forward to the prospect of actual dungeons and bosses this time around. The story and the seemingly more involved champions, minus a few, possibly for tragic reasons! All the new characters added and Mercer Ganondorf!
IM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!
(me and anyone who knows me for the next month)

I like to think that Vulcans who come to understand that Humans just can’t try to process emotions the same way as them, it’s just healthiest to let it out in harmless ways, decide that venting and stuff should be taken just as seriously as Vulcan’s meditation time, and will encourage the Humans around them to complain about what’s upsetting them
People who are used to aloof Vulcans who avoid Humans at all cost running into one comforting a Human
“-and then they said my cheesecake was subpar, and they didn’t even bring a dish!!!”
“The purpose of this event was that every participant brings a food item of sorts, correct?”
“Yeah!!”
“And they did not follow this rule while insulting dishes that were brought?”
“Mostly just my dish but yeah >:(“
“How illogical”
“That’s what I’m saying!!!”
