Parties sucked. You always interrogated yourself on why you even went to them, you always ended up slightly drunk, with some random dudes number in your phone because you were too nice to decline, and a slight hangover. You could say it was because you were trying to have fun, meet new people, maybe hookup with someone. But if you were honest, you didn't know.

You sat on a couch, red solo cup in hand, slowly sipping whatever was in it, until a very blocky costume came into view. Your interest peaked, you looked over at him. It was a boy from your econ class Ethan... Laundry? Loundry? Something like that. He was wearing a knight costume, made fully out of cardboard. It made you smile.

Normally at frat parties it's just guys half naked. Like the one who walked in with Ethan, who was wearing a hat, ascot, and shorts.

“So Ethan, who're you gonna hit on tonight?” Chad hits Ethan's chest while he asks.

“W-what? No one!” He stutters out, turning red. How could Chad talk so freely about hitting on someone?

“C'mon man, you're a snack!” Chad yells over the music. “What about her? ” He nods over to you. Your costume, your hair, your face, everything about you made his eyes widen and his mouth drop into a small, open mouth smile.

“Woah...” His admiration of you made his cheeks flush further.

“I'll take that as a yes bro!” Chad smiles. His face falls when he sees the look of panic on Ethan's face.

That is until he realizes the cause of panic is simply because you're walking over. “Look! She wants you too dude. I'll leave you two alone!” he drags out the last word while walking away. Ethan is left alone and panicked, seeing how you haven't changed your course of direction.

“Hey, I like your costume! Did you make it?” You shout over the music. His eyes avoid yours, almost as if he's trying to convince himself that you're not there.

“Thanks!” He yells back. He looks so scared.

“Did you make it yourself?” You ask, moving behind a wall so you can hear his response.

“Yeah! I made it like 3 hours ago.” He laughs, his eyes crinkling as his smile gets wide. He looks so beautiful.

“Really? That's awesome!” You exclaim. You nod towards the door, hinting that you wanted to go outside.

He followed your lead, moving outside and sitting on the porch of the house. You could finally hear each other without having to shout. “But yeah, I made it. I really like Halloween so I knew I wanted to do something handmade, but my room mate, Chad, didn't give me much of a heads up... That's why this isn't the best looking.” He explains, looking at his lap and playing with his fingers.

“Hey, I still think it looks awesome! Like your helmet? That has amazing attention to detail dude. Who knew a guy could be good at economics and art.” You snicker under your breath. He looks over at you bewildered for knowing you two shared a class. Sure, you didn't know his last name, but you knew he was Ethan, he was cute, and he was good at econ.

“You know we have econ together?” He asks quietly, almost as if he was asking it to himself instead of you.

“Yeah, I know you're Ethan... Something... I know it is like Laundry but not quite!” You say, embarrassed you don't know his last name.

“Landry...” He blushes.

“Well hello, Ethan Landry. I'm [Y/n] [Y/L/N].” You stick out your hand to him, which he hesitantly grabs. His hands are warm. “So you like Halloween you said?” You ask, trying to make small talk.

“Yeah! I uh... Actually went through a small cosplay phase where I made my pieces myself...” He trailed off, letting go of your hand as he gets embarrassed. “Yeah, Halloween is my favorite.” He says simply, and sadly.

“Mine too!” You nudge him with your shoulder. “There's no reason to be embarrassed around me, by the way. I think it's cool you used to cosplay, I kinda always wanted to.” you smile sweetly at him.

“I don't like to think about it...” He shyly laughs.

“I really like your laugh...” You think aloud, catching both you and Ethan off guard. You clear your throat, trying to move on quickly, “So, what's your favorite Halloween candy?”

“I like chocolate, so basically everything is good for me.” He jokes for the second time tonight. He was starting to get more comfortable with you, and you were really happy about it.

There's a beat of silence where you're both just looking at each other smiling. He had such pretty eyes. And lips... And face.

He leans into your ear and whispers in your ear “So [Y/n], what's your favorite scary movie..?” Yup, he was definitely getting comfortable. His breath was hot against your ear and cheek, giving you goosebumps.

This was a huge step out of Ethan's comfort zone. He never flirted with anyone. Let alone a very attractive girl like you.

“I uh... I don't know, would you wanna watch a scary movie with me sometime?”

“W-What?” He looks at you, falling back into his flustered self.

“Yeah! You could come to my place, I have Netflix, Hulu, all of ‘em. No pressure though, if you don't want to that's ok!” You preface looking up at him, awaiting a response.

“Uh... Yeah. Ok.” He smiles small, playing with his fingers again.

“How about tomorrow?” You ask him while pulling out your phone.

“Yeah, that's good for me.”

“Ok, type in your number and I'll text you my address.” You explain while giving him your phone. He smiles to himself, cheeks turning a light pink when he notices that for the contact name you've typed in “Ethan :)” He was smiley face worthy.

After you've taken your phone back, you stand, ready to say goodbye and leave. He was a touch sad, realizing what was about to happen. He really liked talking to you. He didn't want it to be over.

“I'll text you when I get home! See ya tomorrow Ethan.” You call out, walking backwards away from the house.

“Bye!” He smiles. God you were beautiful.

He just stood there, looking at the spot you were sitting in a few moments ago.

“Yes dude! I knew you had it in you!” He hears a familiar voice shout out from behind him. Ethan's head drops fully, groaning.

“Chad, shut up!”

I get that there are reasons people may have funded Cinderella's Castle and not Tinlightenment/why Cinderella's Castle got funded quicker than Tinlightenment, but I do not think you guys saying that understand JUST HOW BIG of a difference this was.

Cinderella's Castle fund goal was $250K, Tinlightenment fund goal was $200K and they raised $220K in total.

Tinlightenment raised their goal amount just before the final day of the kickstarter campaign, their campaign lasted a month. Cinderella's Castle got funded in a little less than 30 hours.

CINDERELLA'S CASTLE RASIED MORE MONEY IN 30 HOURS THAN TINLIGHTENMENT DID AN ENTIRE FUCKING MONTH. I can not understate how insane that is!

I have noticed in the past couple years people seem to only care about Hatchetfield, and it's okay to love Hatchetfield, I absolutely love Hatchetfield, it is my favorite of all StarCanWrecked productions, I became a fan because of Hatchetfield. But I remember during the first year of covid that there was so much love for EVERYTHING starkid, tcb and shipwrecked. But then after that first year it seems people only care for Hatchetfield.

Now I'm really so excited that so many people are excited for Cinderella's Castle, that's great!! I'm glad we are giving love to more stuff. But why are we only giving all our love to Cinderella's Castle? Why couldn't we give more love to the other productions going on? Hardly anyone talks about vhs christmas carols. Nobody talks about how the grunch cribbed Christmas. "but those are holiday things" ok sure but still hardly anyone was talking about grunch when it was actually coming out. Hardly anyone has been talk the case of the Greater Gatsby as that's been coming out and fear bc of its break even less people will talk about when it returns. In the tin can bros fandom it feels like I never see love anything except spies are forever really. The entire pulp musicals fandom seems to be just like 5 people.

I am begging fans who have seen more than just Hatchetfield to give love to more than just Hatchetfield. Please. You have seen how amazing all of this stuff we get to watch is. Go give it some love. Make some posts about it. I have some old fans/fans who have seen more than just Hatchetfield complain about fans who have just seen Hatchetfield and if you really think that then WHERE is your love for other stuff? You don't even have to make art or fanfic, you can just reblog stuff!

I am begging fans that have only seen Hatchetfield to at least TRY to watch something outside of it, you might like a lot of stuff, you just have to start with trying to find something that sounds appealing to you. You like spooky towns? Go check out wayward guide, solve it squad and headless. You just like musicals? Well starkid and tcb have many. Maybe you like short films. Maybe you like a certain franchise starkid has parodied. It is ok if you end up just liking Hatchetfield but I do think you should give other things its a try.

I know I'm probably coming off as rude and I'm sorry. And you don't have to go a show love for or watch anything outside of Hatchetfield if you don't want to. I just wish that people would. And I am frustrated that no one seems to care about 90% of the amazing stuff that has been made.

◇ i like to imagine the clergy decorates for the holiday season, i’m not sure what exactly they’d celebrate since i’m no expert regarding theistic satanism (i need my art school anon to help me with this one 🤍) but i think they would do some of the christmas-esque stuff just for the fun of it

◇ i imagine their decor is a nice fun mix of spooky and sweet, or more of a witchy vibe.

◇ i headcanon that they’re in sweden, which means there’s snow outside!!! terzo doesn’t like the cold, since he’s from italy haha but his kids loooooove playing in the snow so he sticks it out for them!

◇ he gets all wrapped up in like 1000 layers because he’s a big old baby, definitely not dramatic at all.

◇ but also he makes his kids do the same, he’s very protective and wants to make sure his kids don’t freeze!

◇ honestly i think terzo’s the kind of dad who would make up an urban legend to scare his kids into wearing proper winter gear…💀 they’re SPRINTING to get inside after he tells them about the monster who eats little children who don’t wear their gloves…

◇ do not take terzo ice skating because his ass will fall down over and over and over again. but on second thought, it makes the kids laugh, so maybe do take him.

◇ terzo cannot wrap presents. he is so bad at it. he has to ask the ghouls or one of his brothers to do it. but this also means he really appreciates the artistry of gift-wrapping.

◇when he gets a gift of any kind he always wriggles his fingers and goes “for me?” like you’ve just bestowed a treasure upon him.

◇ he will absolutely melt if his kids give him a gift of any kind, a homemade card or even just a cool rock one of them found. he will keep it forEVER.

◇ if there’s an elf on the shelf or some kind of satanic equivalent, terzo is leaving it in the funniest fucking places. then he sits around waiting for his kids’ reactions because he loves hearing them laugh.

◇ but it’s not just for the kids- it’s for his own amusement as well. you can bet that elf is going on nihil’s grave.

◇ every christmas eve eve (december 23rd muahaha) terzo watches nightmare before christmas with his kids.

◇ terzo’s favorite christmas movie is home alone, but he has to give the kids a disclaimer before they watch because they’re little troublemakers and they WILL get ideas from all the traps and shenanigans.

◇ i don’t know about anyone else, but i always had a hard time as a kid falling asleep on christmas eve because i was so excited. i imagine terzo’s kids are the same way haha, so he reads them stories until they fall asleep.

◇ terzo doesn’t care much about his kids believing in santa until they tell him they don't. because to terzo, that’s a challenge.

◇ initially, he wants to dress up as santa himself, but he knows the kids are smart enough to find out it’s him. so he has to outsource his work. (he makes omega dress up as santa and put the gifts terzo made him wrap under the tree. omega gets a raise.)

◇ the kids are getting whatever they ask for btw. it’s typically nothing too unreasonable because they’re raised well haha.

◇ if the kids want to leave food out for santa, terzo’s using it as an excuse to order a fancy ass hundred dollar meal and eat it at 3 am. santa’s getting steak made with wagyu beef and a nice glass of wine.

◇ i hc that terzo can cook but he can’t bake for shit, (i have a fic i’ve been wanting to finish for so long about that) so primo makes the kids gingerbread cookies (he has an extensive cookie cutter collection) and they’re all decorated super fun lol.

◇ also in my mind the clergy is a huge piece of property with a forest behind it, and in this forest there are deer! so before the sun sets on the night of christmas eve terzo takes the kids to leave food for the deer as fuel for their upcoming flight :,)

“You want me to what? Dearheart, don't you think we're a little too old for that?” After your like twentieth attempt at changing his mind, Wesker finally gave in and allowed himself to sit beside you and start carving the pumpkin that has been sitting on the table the entire time. To your surprise, Wesker's carving skills were remarkably good, making you wonder if he really was such a big holiday grouch, or just too reticent to show that he too could enjoy silly little things like this.

–Chris Redfield–

Chris is a huge Halloween fan and down for it like no other. Will spend hours looking for the perfect pumpkin with you and once you found it, there's no stopping. There's not really a set design, you two just carve whatever you want. All you and Chris care about is to have fun and enjoy the little things, and that's exactly what you two do. Being silly together and creating a unique looking pumpkin, while giggling like little kids.

–Jill Valentine–

Jill is anything but good at pumpkin carving. Not to mention that her lack of patience for such activities often ends in literal pumpkin massacres. But, since she wants to be part of the things you like and help you as much as possible, she offers to spoon out the pumpkins and leave the carving to you. You're much more talented than her anyway. Plus, she loves the concentrated look on your face when you dive into your work. So, it's a win-win for both of you.

Joseph is a man-child through and through. He loves Halloween with all its traditions and spends days and a good amount of money preparing his apartment for the spooky season. So, it's no surprise that he's a master at pumpkin carving. Watching him create literal art is almost more fun than to do it yourself. But, Joseph wouldn't be Joseph if he didn't let his cheeky self get the better of him and throw the pumpkin pulp at you as 'payback' for letting him do all the hard work.

Whatever you do, do not let Brad near any knives or sharp tools in general. Man's too clumsy and would probably end up in the ER with a nearly cut off finger or something. Instead, you should let him pick and spoon out the pumpkin and do the carving yourself. Trust me, it's the best option. Alternatively, you two could paint the pumpkin instead. It's much safer anyway and you two can still have lots of fun.

–Barry Burton–

A certified pro with a love for teamwork. He lets you pick the pumpkin and design, while he guts it out and carves it. But he wouldn't say no if you asked him to let you do the hard work. It's actually pretty nice to be the one who watches every now and then. But, he'll be by your side the entire time, making corny Halloween puns and, of course, helping you out if things get a little trickier. In the end, he's super proud of you and the way the pumpkin turned out.

–Enrico Marini–

Not the biggest Halloween fan, but thanks to his kids, he ended up carving dozens of pumpkins for them regardless. His skills are a little rusty - considering that his children are now adults and don't need his help anymore - but he still got it. His usual go-to is the classical Jack-o'-lantern design, but if you ask him for another design - and help with drawing the motif you want - he'll gladly oblige. Enrico doesn't say it out loud, but deep down he enjoys every second of it, because it brings back good memories.

–Richard Aiken–

Since he has never done this before, Richard is a little left-handed at first. To the point where he accidentally cuts himself a few times and ends up with nearly all his fingers covered with colourful bandaids. To cheer him up, you draw cute little faces on the bandaids. Despite the rather bumpy start, the pumpkin ends up looking pretty good, given that this was Richard's first attempt. And although he enjoyed it, he'll leave the carving to you next time.

–Forest Speyer–

Pumpkin carving with him almost always ends in a food war between the two of you. It usually starts with him flicking a pumpkin seed at you and then slowly spirals higher and higher until you both have completely forgotten about the pumpkin and instead chase each other around the house/apartment with the insides of the pumpkin in your hands, while you're laughing and giggling like a bunch of children.

–Edward Dewey–

Let's get this straight: Edward is terrible at anything that is related to art and crafting in any way. His pumpkin looks derpy and the proportions are more than 'just a little' off, but, just because he's bad at it doesn't mean he won't keep trying; even if it's just to see you happy. Which you really are. And knowing how stubborn and determined Ed can be sometimes, you'll have to be sneaky when offering your help. It's not that he doesn't notice, of course he does, but he pretends not to, just to see that triumphant sparkle in your eyes.

–Rebecca Chambers–

A bit nervous and overcautious when it comes to the thing. Don't get me wrong, she loves Halloween and especially the pumpkin carving, but her fear of you getting hurt outweighs her excitement a little. You have to reassure her that you'll be fine and in good hands, should you get hurt. Rebecca herself is pretty skilled and a little perfectionist. Her pumpkin is littered with squiggles and little curls.

–Kenneth Sullivan–

Grows a big pumpkin in his garden every year. You don't know how Kenny does that, but his pumpkins always end up being too big to be carried into the house, leaving you no other option than to do the carving outside, sitting in his backyard on a blanket, wrapped in warm clothes and with a cup of tea/hot chocolate to keep you warm. And the pumpkin seeds are not thrown away. Instead, they are fed to the birds.

–Kevin Dooley–

Kevin goes absolutely feral when it comes to it and tends to make a huge mess. There will be pulp all over the floor, on his clothes and even in his hair, but, he couldn't care less. He just wants to have fun and be creative. His skills may be pretty decent, but you can't say the same about his creativity and silliness. Forget about spooky faces, how about a cat presenting its butthole? Or one that has the word "taxes" carved into it? Scary, isn't it?

Been a month, hasn’t it? How’s the new year treating everybody so far?

I have plans to return to Castletown Café again. The reason things slowed was because weekly was overwhelming, which I learned over the summer, and even biweekly was a lot to keep up with, especially with food or drinks I never made before and needed time to experiment with. Once fall came I had to put it on the backburner, especially as I focus heavily on my main work, art, for spooky season all through the holiday season.

Those times of the year are out of the way, so it’s time to focus again on re-creating food from or inspired by Deltarune, and experimenting with ideas, and practicing things like bread or candy. (Candy is REALLY hard to make at home by the way - I swear I need a laboratory, professional equipment, and a well-experienced candy-maker to teach me the ways).

That’s not all though. I want to try another new thing this year: live gaming. Our current era of the internet is video-dominated - mainly by Tiktok. So much so that Instagram is favoring and pushing reels over images in order to compete, forcing artists like myself to have to make art posts into Tiktok-style reels (Thanks Tiktok, you ruined Instagram).

The reason I want to try live gaming is so that way I can use new mediums to create content and to engage with people in a new way. It can be fun watching people play a game, and I’ll enjoy the company as I search for that shiny Pokémon or build new islands and create another form of art in the virtual world.

I’m gonna be real, I’m pretty nervous about trying this new venture because I know technology has never been all that fond of me. Even after following the instructions to a T and doing everything right, something will still go wrong (either because the instructions/help overlook or don’t account for the tiny details that get in the way and I need every last little detail considered, or because the instructions are outdated). My frustration tolerance will be put to the test. Also, I’m not sure how my laptop will handle live gaming - having OBS and my Elgato capture card software gets it really hot, and in the past, doing live art streams also really heated it up! I got a brand new desk with cooling fans for it, so I’ll see if it can handle going live while streaming gameplay footage from my Switch. It’s all I have right now, unfortunately. I know a lot of streamers use two monitors, so I may need a dual-monitor PC. But we all have to start somewhere!

I know these announcements/updates are almost a month late. I’m just kinda worried I won’t ever actually act on or start these things. I’m tired of wanting to do something or getting an idea for something and then never actually getting to it because of anxiety or other interests/other things taking my attention. I seriously don’t understand what “apply yourself” even means….I don’t speak neurotypical I guess 😅 but I know that ADHD brain and anxiety brain are a big obstacle. I want to finally deliver on the ideas I want to do. And the things I mention or talk about making. Starting, or going back to it, is the hardest part.

If you have read all this, thanks! This was a really long post. I know there’s not a lot of people who’ll see this, but if you’re one of them, thank you for finding this. Any support, even if it’s just from one person, is greatly appreciated.

Emo night was fucking awesome!! It would've been so fun to go together <3 You would've had to drag me out of the mosh pit though haha. They played MCR and sooo many other bands, even songs I didn't know off the top of my head! I was wearing my slutty Hollywood Undead shirt (its called that cuz it's a size S shirt so it fits me tight and makes my waist extra slutty xP) and they played Hollywood Undead songs and I got so excited I screamed my lungs out hahaha. I think your manifesting is working cutie, cuz it's been like four days now and my ankle is doing so much better! It's still red and purple and green, but the swelling has gone down immensely <3 Hehehe we're so in sync, I love it <3 Awh baby I'm sorry you threw up :( I got so drunk I physically fought my friends on our way back home (which I did not remember, and they didn't tell me until yesterday) cuz I was overstimulated and they were threatening to put me in a shopping cart if I didn't hurry the fuck up. Art history was a life-changer for me in secondary school haha, I think I was the only person in the entire class actually interested in the subject xD I'd love to hear you ramble about paintings and see you get all excited, it's adorable <3 I always feel so rushed going to museums with other people cuz they always rush through and I like to stop and look and read the little plaques. I bet with you I wouldn't feel rushed <3 I love Mondriaan, there's such a beauty in the apparent simplicity of his work, and it's fascinating seeing his older works and watching the progression into his iconic style. It really opened my eyes for me, somehow when you're a teen you don't consider that artists go through phases and don't just get born mastering a certain style :] As a kid I lived next to a house in Mondriaan's style, it was super pretty. I've never painted with oil paints either! It's a pretty expensive and dangerous medium to get into, so I'm sticking with my acrylics and watercolours and digital art hehe. I never expected to learn about architecture in art history but it makes so much sense to pair the things together, there's so much artistry in architecture and buildings reflect the time period they were born from so clearly, I love it.

Hehe I've attached a photo of the zip-up at the end of this post <3 On the side of it you can kinda see part of the origami crane from 'Your Boyfriend' and the front of the zip has the half-white heart from that same game :] Is there anything else you think I should embroider on this zip-up? How long would it take you to admit you can't do it, or press the blade to your own skin? Would you obey me if I asked you to push the blade into my skin instead? Would your hands shake and your breathing get all trembly? I'd love to watch you try so hard to be good for me, but having to admit you can't. It's okay darling, I don't mind that you can't because you really considered it for a moment, didn't you? You would've done it if I'd pushed you, and god that's just the sweetest thing. I've got a whole rainbow of bruises now :] From purple to red to green to blue to yellow, your kisses would be the best cure <3 I don't think I have a favourite holiday hehe, I like Halloween for the vibes, but it's not celebrated here. Very rarely people put up decorations, but no one dresses up or goes out trick-or-treating. College and Uni kids throw Halloween parties though, and those are a lot of fun. One time in secondary school I went to my lessons as a ball-jointed doll on Halloween. I painted joints on my hands and knees and stuff and dressed in my most doll-like clothes :] Everyone thought I was weird though because Halloween really really isn't celebrated here hahaha. I've never carved a pumpkin before, I'd love to carve one with you! You'd have to teach me <3 I love love comedy horror films and thrillers :D I saw Terrifier 2 in the cinema last year and loved it, I'm so in love with Art the clown hahaha. I've always wanted to try candy corn, what does it taste like? Is it good? My favourite candy is liquorice, which is so very Dutch of me hahaha. What's your favourite candy? Hi!🦇 I am not quite sure what I need to put in for the matchups but I apologize in advance if I leave any info out/gave too much info. Anyways, my name is Tobiathan or Toby for short, and I am 19 years old. I’m a gender non-conforming gay trans male and my pronouns are he/they. I am currently 5’1 and 137 pounds. I have medium length black wavy/curly hair that’s in a mullet/shag style and my eyes are brown. My skin complexion is pretty pale and I have a good amount of freckles on my nose and cheeks. I have a scar across my lip that goes a little up towards my cheek and I have another one on my right eyebrow.

I’m usually quite introverted but when I’m with people I care about and love, I tend to be more comfortable around them and just a little bit more outgoing. My friends tend to describe me as intimidating and reserved at first but extremely loving, protective and loyal once you get to know me. I would beat the shit out of anyone that hurts my loved ones and I would do it GLADLY.

I have a vampire gothic style and I’m very into music, cooking, fashion and art. I make Halloween masks in my free time that I sell. I prefer to bake but I do enjoy making my friends food. I find it to be very therapeutic. I am very into horror stories whether it be Edgar Allan Poe or Stephen King all the way to true crime shows and books, if it has anything to do with disturbing things, I find an interest in it. I LOVE sewing and making clothes. Most of the clothes I wear I’ve made myself. I also have a bad habit of ranting about the things I enjoy. And my favorite colors are red and black.

My love language is quality time and acts of service. There’s nothing I want more than to spend time with those I love and to do little things for them.

It actually makes him uncomfortable with anything that has a happy or normal vibe because he feels so detached from normalcy and he can't really relate to those types of things. 

Now, he's fucking huge. Like too big for his own good so the fact that you like sewing and making clothes it's gonna be good for both of you. For you cause you can practice by making clothes for him and for him cause he gets to have brand new things to wear that aren't boring.

He appreciates your love language cause, like every version of Michael, he finds it really hard to express physically and verbally his love. He wants to be with you and he wants to do things for you to feel helpful and to show you he cares. I’m glad one of my potential dorm mates aren’t causing trouble, although I can’t say my authority means much when we’re all trying not to kill each other. I guess it would be too much of a loophole to say that I’d like an extortion-free month as my gift, huh? Probably not very really in the spirit of my dorm. Besides, the kitchen here is honestly just sad. If I was Trey Clover (and I may not be! I could be a different guy!) I think I’d just shake my head in resignation. I’ve tried my best to tidy up where I can, but everything’s outdated or one bad day away from blowing up in my face.

Hard to be enthusiastic to cook in these conditions. (I didn’t sign up to be the personal chef for anyone, to be clear. But it’s either try to work with the Ramshackle kitchen or trudge back to Heartslabyul and fight the snow.

What’s their ideal vacation like?

Van would like to see wonders of the modern world. He’d love Tokyo or somewhere equally tech-savvy; he’d love anywhere he could see all of the things that humankind has made and ask questions about how they’re made and try all kinds of sugary Japanese sweets. He’d find capsule hotels incredibly interesting. He’d find anything with complicated automated controls a lot of fun to fiddle with! I’m not sure he’d fit in a capsule hotel (and certainly True Form Van would never allow this kind of vacation; his idea of a vacation is being able to be in the woods in nature away from the Winter Court for as long as possible) . . . but he’d have fun!

Lucas is perfectly happy where he is, thank you. He doesn’t want a vacation. He likes the routine and the work; feeding the chickens, doing the chores, checking the electricals and water-- he supposes, in an ideal world, his vacation would involve no campers or hikers or uninvited guests stumbling across his private territory, so he could simply enjoy uninterrupted peace with his adored beloved. 

Percy would like to laze around and eat nice food with nice views. Places with interesting folklore and large libraries are a bonus; just in case he gets tired of indulging himself. He likes the heat a lot! He speaks several languages and can make himself liked anywhere, really - so as long as the first few conditions are met, Percy will make the most of it. 

Thorne needs to be having adventures, and preferably with someone else. He spends so long on the Athena all alone (and even when on land, he can’t actually stay away from the Athena that long - if he spends longer than the ship wants, he starts to become less and less corporeal to other people until he’s a much more traditional ghost, and he only regains shape and weight and ability when back on deck). He’d like those kind of holidays where one goes to an activity park; zip-line, cave, climb mountains! He wants to be doing things! 

Rose likes quiet holidays. They’d like a cultural break, probably; seeing nice architecture, visiting museums, in the off-season where tourists aren’t quite so loud or prevalent. In an ideal world, they’d have someone they trusted to share it with (this is not Teddy’s speed), who wouldn’t get angry if they needed to press closer to them or cut a trip short. They’d love places with a spooky history; think Salem, Whitby, New Orleans, London. Some of those places are probably . . . better, quieter bets than others. They’re not generally a big fan of outdoorsy things, but they could definitely be convinced to enjoy a quiet country cottage and hikes and walks, with the right person!

Teddy wants to do something fun! He’s the most likely to enjoy a ‘fancy cocktails, relaxing on the beach, clubbing at night in hot weather’ holiday. He can’t afford that kind of getaway right now, but he does daydream about it! Drinking pink sugary things and flirting with cute barkeepers and people by the pool and people in the club, perhaps making himself the centre of attention in any way he can manage . . . Sleeping in until noon, spending nights with people willing to be a little mean to him . . . He wants to make the most of it!

What’s one topic they could never get tired of researching or learning about?

I think, with everything he’s gone through and how he’s been used, Cass would be forgiven for finding art a chore - but he really, really doesn’t. He loves making things. He loves being somewhere else. He loves trying new mediums, he loves wandering art galleries and reading books about art history and just finding out as much as he can. He knows he’s good at what he does, but he prefers not to be complacent about it - it’s a constant cycle of learning and research and practise, and he honestly does enjoy every moment of it. 

Constance is absolutely fascinated by medical procedures. This started when she was young, on the days her father would bring her into his office; she loved seeing all the glamorous people who came to him for cosmetic surgery, and she especially loved seeing how it could change a person. Her obsession with medical memorabilia and cosmetic surgery in particular hasn't dulled at all; when she has an interest, she clings onto it mercilessly. She likes to read medical journals and keep abreast of all discoveries she can. She basically taught herself everything she knows - and she wants to continue to learn. She just . . . doesn't want to have to start from the bottom again, as a lowly med student, to do it.

Lucas doesn’t really have anything like this, honestly; his favourite subject to learn about, nowadays, is his beloved. He’ll tolerate any amount of info-dumping or knowledge that they want to give him - and he wants to know about them (within reason), too! Tell him about your favourite colours, your favourite seasons, your favourite foods. Maybe avoid telling him about your ex-partners and your dreams of exploring the world. 

Percy likes clockwork and mechanics. He’s an expert in folklore about dreams and sleep, because he has to be - but that’s not his passion. What he likes doing is taking apart watches and time-pieces and fixing them and putting them back together. He also likes learning about antiques a lot! He’s got a lot of esoteric knowledge about types of woods and precious stones and what exactly that hallmark on your silver ring means, and he’s always happy to discover more!

Van likes learning about electronics. He’s fascinated by just how many facts they can hold in such tiny little bodies! In general, he likes learning about how things are built and made and developed; he’s constantly amazed by human invention. It’s one of the things that keeps him wandering back into the cities - mortals are just so . . . interesting. 

Rose likes urban legends; they read a lot of horror books, they want to know where the inspiration comes from! They are extremely likely to get lost in internet rabbitholes about such things for hours at a time, especially at night. There’s something, too, comforting about all of these old first-hand accounts . . . other people, in the past, who saw things like Rose did. It’s nice not to feel alone!

Teddy isn’t much of a ‘research’ guy! He does have those things he’s interested in (he loves his job; he knows a lot about the Create-A-Cub Limited Editions of the past and is always happy to talk about them. He loves his other job, too - he can talk about musicals and dance technique until the cows come home), but he doesn’t really go out of his way to learn things so much as he just soaks them up!

Thorne became a pirate partly for adventure and partly to see the world; and he really doesn’t tire of the last thing, no matter how many centuries he lives. There’s just something so fascinating about learning about other cultures; trying local foods, hearing the languages, finding out their histories and talking to the people about what it’s really like living there!

Random ask: give your favorite HC about Scott

Oh heck yeah! Let’s go!

First of all, thanks for the ask, friend! It makes me so happy. Sorry I didn’t answer right away! Work kept interrupting me typing my answer, and I wanted to put thought into this lol.

Alright, hold on to your horses because once I get started, I don’t know if I can stop. You picked one of my favorite things to ask about 😁

I’m also going to say one of these because I’m going to give more than one I can’t give just one is not mine but actually came from @thwipandquip and I 100% accepted it right on the spot. The others I already had but developed further with @thwipandquip

Scott is a brilliant cook. He learned how to cook from his paternal grandmother, also brilliant in the kitchen, and he learned how to cook without needing to follow recipes all the time. He’s the type who likes to make stuff up as he goes, and he’s learned enough from his grandmother and from his own experiences to know what goes well together and what doesn’t. His dishes are nine times out of ten a big success, and even then that tenth time that’s not all that great is really, really rare. He’s good at it, and his dishes are proof. He can get cocky about it, but he’s earned the right. But! He can’t bake to save his life. He’s lucky if he doesn’t burn pre-made cookies that you can throw in the oven. Which was lucky for him that Baskin-Robbins didn’t require him to bake. He’s tried to bake. His grandmother tried to teach him, but for all the ingenious and knack he’s got for cooking, he had none left over for baking.

Scott played baseball in high school and college. He played other sports, but baseball was his first love. Scott tried to get #22 because his dad played baseball back in his day too, and that was his number, but Scott couldn’t get that one. So he wore #2 on his jerseys instead. Close enough to satisfy him. He played catcher and pitched some, but he loved playing catcher way more. So he’s used to wearing gear and a helmet and having to run and be active in it, which helped him feel more at ease in the Ant-Man suit and helmet. He played minor league some and could’ve probably gone pro if he wanted, but he decided on doing other things.

This is the one that’s not originally mine but I 100% accepted. Scott can paint, and he can do a pretty damn good job of it. He’s always had a knack for sketching and drawing stuff, and he started painting early on. It wasn’t until he got into high school art that his teacher was like “Holy shit this kid can actually paint!” So his teacher kinda spoiled him and gave him extra attention to help foster the talent and help him master it. Once Scott realized this was something he loved to do and could help entertain him and distract him when he was feeling low or his ADHD (another HC) was rampant, he pursued it and became amazing at it. He can pretty much paint whatever he wants. If he can imagine it, he can put it on canvas, and his forte is realism. He can make something look so real, it could be mistaken for a photo.

Halloween and Christmas are his favorite holidays. He can go all out for both especially with the decorations, and he’s as excited as any kid when they roll around. With Halloween, he loves the spooky stuff and getting scared, and he puts his electric engineering to good use and make moving Halloween decorations that are scary and cool all at once. He loves going to haunted houses with Cassie. Plus, Scott and Cassie like to go on trips to visit haunted places and do like their own ghost hunts. Scott dressed up as a Ghostbuster one year and loves that movie. He likes the second one okay, but the first is way better in his opinion. (shameless nod to Ghostbusters: Afterlife? Absolutely.) With Christmas, he loves giving people he loves gifts. He puts thought and energy into all of them, and he often goes overboard but he doesn’t care. Tis the season! And there’s nothing that makes him feel warmer and happier than letting people he loves know that he cares and they’re important to him. He and Cassie also have a competition every year on who can give each other the most wacky, ridiculous gift. So far, Cassie’s winning, but you best believe he’ll find a gift to help him win next year!

Meeting and Dating Billy Loomis

- You met Billy when the two of you ended up in the same class. He noticed you while looking around the room and was immediately taken with you.

- All throughout class, he kept sneaking glances at you, barely paying attention to the teacher as they talked. When the bell rung, he sat back in his seat and watched you leave, deciding that he had to have you right then and there.

- He starts out by doing the typical ‘I have a crush on you’ secret staring and learning more about you; most likely through Stu or by listening in on your conversations. He wants to make sure that you’re the one for him before he shoots his shot; he’s artful when picking people that he actually wants to date, there’s more steps involved.

- Once he’s gathered enough data on you, he’ll sit next to you in class, lean over, and introduce himself with a charming smile. You introduce yourself back; most likely a little flustered by the sudden attention, and then class will start, ending your potential conversation.

- He tries to talk with you all week but his plans are always foiled by something or someone. One of you will show up to class too late, someone will take the seat next to yours, you’ll be busy talking to a friend, someone will distract him and you’ll disappear; and so on. It frustrates him more than he cares to admit.

- Finally, he figures that he has to work a little bit harder so he strategically waits outside of the school with some of his friends. I say strategically because he made sure he had a perfect view of the doors everyone leaves out of when classes end.

- The instant he spots you, he excuses himself and jogs over, greeting you and asking what you’re planning on doing after school. The two of you strike up a bit of a conversation before you’re forced to say goodbye and board your bus. It may seem anticlimactic but to him, it’s a crucial point in your budding relationship.

- After that, he just seems to keep popping up wherever you are; in school at least. Unbeknownst to you, it’s not exactly a coincidence.

- The two of you form a bit of a friendship, and why wouldn’t you? He’s charismatic, fun to talk to, isn’t put off by anything, and pleasantly reserved so it feels like you’re special because he chooses to speak “with you of all people”. If you’re shy then congratulations, you’ve found the one person who is tactfully persistent enough to break down your walls.

- It’s probably a few months before anything of value happens, besides being integrated into his friend group and telling each other some of the things you usually don’t tell people.

- One day, while the two of you are walking to class, he asks if you like horror movies movies. When you ask him why, he tells you that he’s renting a few films and was wondering if you wanted to join him for a bit of a marathon.

- It’s sounds so casual that you’re sure he just wants to hang out as friends, but regardless, you agree.

- So you get to his house and the two of you are sat on his couch, some gorefest horror movie that he chose to watch playing on the tv. He excuses himself to go get a drink and when he comes back, he sits down beside you again although this time much closer than before.

- You try not to think any of it, even as his arm wraps around the back of the couch behind you. Well, you don’t think anything of it until you can feel his hand on your shoulder, fingers tracing shapes against the skin of your arm.

- You aren’t sure what to do, so you don’t do anything, staying perfectly still as you struggle to breathe properly, a flustered heat coursing through you. The two of you sit like that for a few long moments before he slowly pulls you into him and speaks.

“Y/n,” he says your name quietly, his voice deep. He pauses and waits for you to respond which you do so with a nervous hum. “I like you a lot. You know that, don’t you?”

“I like you too, Billy.” you respond in a near whisper, eyes focused on your lap.

“Good.” He whispers back, pressing his lips to your hot cheek as his hand finds the side of your face and he pulls you into a kiss.

- Lets hope that you’re sure about being with him because now that he has you, he certainly isn’t planning on letting you go anytime soon.

- Constant Pda. He likes having his hands on you at all times; it’s just a bonus that it shows everyone in the general vicinity “who you belong to”.

- Gentle forehead and cheek kisses.

- Hugs from behind where he nuzzles his face into your hair and jaw.

- Long makeout sessions. Once you start, he never wants to stop.

- Getting late night visits/sneaking out to see him. He shows up at your window pretty much whenever he feels like and has subsequently gotten very skilled at climbing up the side of your house.

- His favorite nickname for you is “sweetheart”. He just feels like it suits you and likes the little smile you get on your face when he calls you it.

- Cuddling? Billy would never admit it to anyone but he absolutely loves it. Oftentimes, he’s the big spoon, but he can’t deny that he loves it when you cradle him into your chest, especially when he’s tired or having a rough day.

- He lounges whenever he can so expect to be laid/leaned on, or to have him maneuver himself so that he’s laid back yet still has you close to or touching him.

- Long and deep conversations. The two of you experience existential crises together.

- You’re going to be around Stu a lot. The two of them are constantly hanging out so you and him are; most likely, going to be close as well.

- Sharing food with each other.

- Hanging out at the fountain.

- Horror movie dates.

- Constant movie references, quotes, and random facts.

- A Fall slut through and through. Falling leaves? Sexy. Pumpkins? Hot. Anything spooky? Orgasmic. He usually goes ape shit during holidays but during the fall, he goes ape shit for a whole season.

- He has a wonderful skill of popping up at the “right” times. You seem to constantly run into him and you aren’t sure if it’s really a coincidence or not.

- Random phone calls. Sometimes he plays around with you, other times he gets straight to the point.

- Back massages. He lets out these little moan like noises which make it really hard to think straight as you’re trying to innocently rub his back.

- Hand holding.

- Playing with each other’s hair. You’re constantly brushing his out of his eyes.

- He toys around with your things, either while he’s bored or to make you laugh, or just to fidget with something while you talk.

- He loves hearing you laugh and seeing you smile. He feels accomplished whenever it’s because of him, like he’s done something revolutionary.

- His fathers rarely home so you usually have the house to yourselves. He likes the privacy, being able to do whatever you please with no interruptions. It’s the teenage dream, isn’t it?

- Wearing his shirts, especially when you sleep over at his house.

- Surprisingly sensitive about certain things and somewhat easily offended. He takes you not wanting to touch, see, or be seen with him very personally, even if there’s a legitimate reason behind it.

- Weirdly enough though, he’s got a really high pain tolerance. He’s a trooper when he gets hurt and always amazes you with how little he reacts. He once sliced his hand open when the two of you were together and while you were wrapping something around the wound, all he did was let out a little “ow” and chuckle at you.

- He’s a bit reserved; he’s not a huge social butterfly so he prefers just hanging out with you and a few close friends. He’s friendly when he has to be, he just doesn’t really like talking to people he doesn’t know/know very well or being in huge crowds.

- He loves just watching you. He could look at your face for the rest of his life; all day, everyday, and still never get tired of seeing it.

- Intimate eye contact. There’s so much emotion behind his eyes when they meet yours. He could make you flustered with a single look.

- He never pushes you to do anything you don’t want to. He does such evil things most of the time, it’s nice to be seen as “the good guy” and to treat someone he cares about with respect.

- He’s a cunning bastard. If you need something done, he’ll find a way to do it. And if he needs something done, then he’ll find a way too and it may or may not involve you.

- Growing suspicious of him and his absences or the little odd things that just don’t add up. You swear he’s hiding something....

- He hangs back and waits for you when you want to go do something quick, like ask someone something or drop something off somewhere. It doesn’t ever annoy him; he likes being able to know what you’re doing.

- He’s definitely a bit overprotective and clingy at times. He’s got some deep rooted abandonment issues so he wants to make sure you’re not going anywhere or somehow going to get hurt and have to leave him because of it.

- He’s quick to interrupt when he can tell you’re uncomfortable and insults/scolds people when they upset you.

- He yearns for that motherly role in his life so he snaps at the chance to get it from your own mother when the two of you begin dating. It’s certainly a bit odd when you find him and her hanging out in your kitchen or how quick he is to agree to joining you on family outings/activities when you’re about to decline, but you are happy that he’s getting the very thing that he seems to need.

- Later in your relationship, he’ll open up to you more and tell you about his family life/ everything that goes on in his head. Just be patient because it’ll take him a while to completely trust you with everything.

- He’d rather cut off his own dick then cheat on you. He sees it as the ultimate sin, the worst thing you could ever do to a person ...besides abandon them.

- He has a mean streak when it comes to jealousy. He can’t stand the thought of you; his girl, with someone else or having someone else like you. He’s threatened and/or glared people down before if he’s thought they had a thing for you.

- Sensitive subjects really aren’t his strong suit. He always seems to say the wrong thing whenever he’s faced with them and it’s caused more than a few fights/arguments between the two of you.

- He gets angry when he’s angry, if that makes sense, although it really depends on what’s making him upset. He can either stay very calm or start rioting like a maniac, it’s really like flipping a coin with him. He does tend to flip out on other people rather than you though, so that’s good, right?

- He apologizes when he’s in the wrong and never expects you to if you aren’t. He also has a particular talent for worming his way back into your heart after he’s royally pissed you off.

- He doesn’t tell you he loves you constantly but he says it at the right moments so the words have a lot of meaning whenever he says them.

- Like I said, he doesn’t plan on letting you go anytime soon. You’re the one for him and he’s going to keep you with him for as long as he can.

he wants as many kids as possible and he is gonna love them all equally 🥺 but you settle for 2, 2 boys. honestly, they idolise him, but he doesn’t realise it/he doesn’t want to acknowledge it. he plays with them and teaches them lots of things and helps them with their homework when he can. he feels really upset when he has to leave for another country for work but makes sure that he calls every night to talk to you and them. he likes to treat you and the boys to fancy holidays and expensive clothes when he can.

any time he can spend with the boys he cherishes, but he also appreciates just standing back and watching you show off your natural parenting skills too. it really makes him happy to see his little family with all the love in the world being thrown around without even realising. you best believe he’s taking lots of pictures, constantly, of him and the boys or you or anything that he can look back on and remember how amazing that time was.

🌸jihoon:

he’s the parent that your daughter is scared of the most and the one that she will do anything for because of that. he’s super protective over the two of you and hates when fans get a little too invested in your lives. he also hates when your daughter starts dating but you make sure that he doesn’t do anything too drastic. he’s the “leader of the pack” and is definitely in charge at home, whatever he says goes (most of the time lmao he knows his place and he knows you’re always right). it’s all out of love though of course, he just wants the best for her and for you.

he HIGHKEY enjoys parents' evenings and getting to roast your daughter's teacher, even though she always thinks it’s embarrassing and he really is super proud of her development and her learning. he genuinely is interested in everything they say but it always comes to the argument that school and grades aren’t everything and he always tells her that it’s okay if she fails because she tried her best.

⚡️yoshi:

you have one daughter who looks up to her dad a lot. she enjoys spending time with him because yoshi likes to teach her things and likes to share lots of memories with her. yoshi really wants to give her the best childhood, with the most supportive family and set of family friends behind her. he would constantly talk to her and ensure everything was okay, they would be super close and their bond would be inseparable. he genuinely wants the best for her and it shows through everything he does for/with her. he wants to create the perfect family with you, and that’s exactly what he’s done.

he cannot WAIT to introduce your daughter to art and fashion and everything of that nature. he likes to sit painting with them, even if the end result is a brown piece of soggy paper and a headache, it’s still quality time that he and your daughter have spent together. he’s the type of parent to be happy whatever his child does, knowing that their happy is much more important than knowing she’s making money. he hopes that she knows that too, and that she shouldn’t feel pressured to do things just to make him happy, because he’ll always be happy with whatever she’s doing.

🌟junkyu:

it’s twins! 1 boy, 1 girl and junkyu could not be happier. he loves to play around with them and make your life HELL, making a mess everywhere, pulling pranks, even encouraging sassy but sweet behaviour. everything his children do receives a massive “awww” from junkyu, even when they’re doing something really mischievous. he tries his best to be stern with them at times when it’s necessary, but he really struggles with it when they start acting super cute, he’s very forgiving at that moment.

games nights are the nights that he looks forward to the most and asks almost every night do they want to play (of course they’re gonna say yes). even when they grow up a bit, although their love for games may have dwindled, his definitely hasn’t. he thinks they’re so fun to play with and to watch everyone getting along 🥺 he wishes the moment would never end. may also start adding “loser has to…” punishments when they get older and lose purposely just so that they laugh at him.

☀️mashiho:

he’s the type of dad that you also have to treat as your own child. of course there’s boundaries but he’s basically your 5th kid. you have 2 daughters and a son and a pet who you both cherish. he loves watching them grow up with the love of his life and he tells you every day that you’ve made all of his dreams come true. he plays with the children a lot and enjoys being in their company a lot so he really would do anything for them, even if it made him look silly. he cannot hold back his cute outbursts when they hold his hand, it’s his only “flaw”.

as much as he HATES all the spookiness around this time of year, he loves taking the kids trick or treating. he dresses up with them and dresses the dog up too and goes around the neighbourhood with the kids. he also likes to decorate your own house with spooky decorations because he secretly enjoys when they pull their silly pranks on him with the fake spiders and candy eyeballs.

❄️jaehyuk:

from the moment your son is born, jaehyuk becomes the father figure he’s always dreamed of being. he is careful not to let anything come before his family, not work, not friendship, it’s just you, him and your boy 🥺. he can be the stern parent and he can be the nice friendly parent, but he will always be the cool parent who takes him to school in some flashy car. he loves surprising your son with cute little stuffed toys or new clothes and likes to stand and watch over him with you while your son opens them. he’s really proud of who/what you two have created and brought up, it makes him super teary to think about.

he LOVES taking you and your son to the zoo. he really wants him to be animal lover and he wants him to get to see them all. he loves holding his hand while you walk around the grounds and lifting him up to get a better view. he even pays more to let him feed the animals 😭. it’s an educational trip that’s still fun so he thinks it’s the perfect place to take him to.

🌷asahi:

he is an embarrassing dad for sure. you have one daughter and one son together and he makes them both never want to leave the house with him. he will drag them to sing at karaoke, even when they’re young and he will dress up in silly outfits and be like “time to go to the park” while he’s dressed like that. he just wants to make them smile and he knows they secretly find it really funny, he would never actually do anything they felt uncomfortable with. he was pretty worried about becoming a dad but because you were there with him, he could act naturally and without fear.

he really likes whenever he gets the chance to tuck your little ones into bed. since he’s working a lot, it’s a rare opportunity and so he really makes the most of it. he’ll read them a story and when they beg for another, he can never say no. and then he gives them a sweet, gentle kiss on their foreheads before heading out and turning off the light. he thinks about how much fun he’s had with them all day and how cute they look finally getting the rest they need for tomorrow.

🍄yedam:

another embarrassing dad! you are blessed with two children, one boy and one girl, both of which are definitely very embarrassed by their dad. he likes to joke around with them a lot and keeps them both on their toes. but in reality, it’s just a facade to make sure they’re having fun and growing up without sadness. he couldn’t bare to see them down in the dumps, bad days were something that were rare in your household. your kids are both in awe of what their parents have achieved and are both very eager to tell their friends of their successes. you both are their heroes.

his favourite moments with his kids are when he gets to take them (and you) out to look at the stars. he takes you all out in the car in the evening and drives for miles into the middle of nowhere just to let you watch the stars. not only does this give him a chance to appear as the same romantic boyfriend he was before the kids, but also gives him chance to watch your kids appreciating the small but most beautiful, natural things.

Extended Family - Scott Lang

Synopsis;

Cassie’s staying the night over at her fathers’ and step-moms’ home, bringing along a small gift which has made you feel apart of the family like no other gift.

Warnings: Nothing really, just fluff I think

Pairing: Scott Lang x Reader. Cassie Lang x Step Mom Reader.

“Y/N!” Cassie exclaimed loudly once she had walked through the door with Scott and spotted you hanging more Halloween decorations.

“Hey there, short stack.” You smiled at the girl before walking over and giving her a big hug. Having met Cassie when you had first started to date Scott was nothing but a huge bonus in your relationship. You had been so afraid that he wouldn’t like you but that fear had quickly melted away after spending time together. 

After you had gotten married, it’s like she only ever visited for you with how much time you spend together. You and Maggie had even grown close, all three of you spending days out together, having a girls shopping trip or going to watch the new movie Cassie had been begging to go see.

“Do you wanna see what I made in school today?” The young girl asked excitedly as she bounded up and down rapidly. 

You smiled fondly at the girl and nodded. “Sure, kiddo.” Cassie practically tore her back pack off of her shoulders and hastily rummaged through it. She soon presented a drawing of all her family in their Halloween costumes. What truly warmed your heart was the inclusion of yourself sandwiched between her and Scott, Maggie, Paxton and her baby brother drawn on her left whilst you and Scott were positioned on her right.

“It’s us! See!” She pointed to each person, explaining where they were and what they were wearing. “And that’s me right in the middle!” She beamed up at you as she finished raving about her art work. 

“It’s wonderful, Cass, I love it!” You exclaimed proudly, watching Cassie’s face brighten further with joy. 

She held the picture towards you as she smiled, showcasing her little, pearly white teeth. “Good ‘cause I want you to have it!”

“What about your mom and dad? Maybe Jim might like one?”

“Well, you’re my mom too, why shouldn’t you have it?” She shrugged, puzzled by your question, as if her reasoning had been as clear as day from the get-go. A warm, fuzzy feeling spread across your chest, you almost even cry out in happiness from the interaction with your step-daughter. 

She smiled up at you before quickly continuing. “Plus, Halloween is OUR favourite holiday!” You laughed at her statement before hurriedly scooping her up into your arms and cuddled her tightly, mindful of the drawing.

You plated a big kiss on her kiss and she laughed she laughed at the action. “Thank you, short stack. I’ll treasure this for the rest of my life.”

Scott who still stood by the door way had quietly watched the interaction between his daughter and wife silently, whole-heartedly admitting that the scene brought a sense of normality and peace into his life.

He knew your statement would ring true. He knew how much you loved Cassie and she, you. Apart from Christmas and birthday gifts, this is the first time she had given something she made exclusively to you and only you.

After placing Cassie back down on to her own two feet, she turned to face her dad, a proud smile etched across her little face. “She liked it!”

Scott let out a hearty chuckle. “Hell yeah, she did!” Scott spoke, matching his daughters enthusiasm. “Why don’t you run upstairs and get into your spooky PJ’s that like Y/N? Then we can get takeout and watch movies!”

With that, she quickly ran past her father and flew up the stairs. “I WANT CHINESE FOOD!” She shouted as she climbed up to her room.

Scott let out a heart chuckle as he turned towards you, finding you looking down at the Halloween family portrait Cassie had gifted you and walked over, wrapping his arm around you, pulling you into him and kissing your temple lovingly. 

You smile as you place the picture down on to the coffee table before turning your body to fully engulf your husband in a tight hug, one he reciprocates instantaneously.

“I love you, both of you, so much, y’know that?” Scott mumbled quietly into your hairline, leaving another sweet, tender kiss.

“Who wouldn’t love us? We’re great.” You teased earning a playful pinch to your side from Scott. You squeaked out a giggle and buried yourself further into your husbands embrace. “I love you, too.”

Scott pulled back ever so slightly to cup your face in his larger hands and brought you into a loving kiss, tenderly pushing his lips to yours. The kiss was soon interrupted by an ‘ewww’ coming from the stairs. 

You broke apart laughing, turning your head to see Cassie faux heaving. Scott swiftly moved to scopp his daughter up and littered her face with sloppy, wet kisses “HOW *kiss* DARE *kiss* YOU *kiss* SAY *kiss* ‘EWWW’? *kiss*”

“Okay, she yields. Now can you please order some food? I’m wasting away by here.” You joke, deciding to save Cassie from her gross torture.

“Hmmmm, fine, I guess.” He walks over to the couch and playfully throws her atop it then pulls his phone out whilst walking towards the kitchen. “So, what’s everybody having?”

After your fill of food and films, Cassie had began drift off occasionally as she sat sandwiched between you and Scott. You looked down at her tired little face, eyes hooded over. You smiled fondly as you pushed a stray couple of hair strands behind her ear and out of her face. “You tired, short stack?”

All the energy she could muster was thrown into the nod of her head and a quite mumble of incoherent words. Noticing your husbands light snoring, you took it upon yourself to get her up to bed.

You stand and quickly scoop the girl into your arms and make your way towards her bedroom. You tip toed your way up the stairs and down the small landing before reaching her room. You bump the door open with your hip prior to laying her gently into her bed, tucking her tightly. 

“Can we go to a haunted house tomorrow?” Cassie tiredly mumbled out. The corners of your mouth quirked upwards.

“What’s wrong with the one we live in?” Cassie giggled at your response and barely peeks at you through the slits in her eyes. “I’ll ask your dad when he wakes up short stack.”

“Okay...Night, mom.”

“Night, kiddo. Sweet dreams.” Your heart swelled at the name as you leant over to place a gentle kiss upon her head. You stealthily made your way out of her room, taking one last glance back at the sleeping girl before switching her light off and closing the door softly.

That night, you lied in bed, entangled with your husband and thought of nothing but your family. You conceded that you would do anything to protect your family that you had worked so hard to become apart of. 

You loved them with ever fibre in your being and nothing could ever deter you away from them.

You were happy with your family and you wouldn’t change it for the world.

And yes I know this is centred around the time of Halloween even though it’s December rn but I think Cassie is a Halloween kind of gal
