Okay so i had a dream about Generation Loss last night and it gave me an idea for an AU so. im sharing it to tumblr fuck you 😭

Just a heads up that i started working on this like. 2 hours ago. so its in HEAVY W.I.P, and will likely see alot of progress in the near future as i get new ideas >:D

The story follows Charlie as the protagonist, most of the story following the regular Genloss storyline. The path diverges after Charlie and Ranboo have run from the mob of Showfall workers and Charlie grabs the axe. Ranboo tries to tell Charlie to get a different weapon, but Charlie doesn't listen and takes it anyway. When Charlie gets attacked by Security, he uses the axe to kill it, but not after sustaining heavy wounds from it. As he yells for Ranboo to get to the button, he passes out from blood loss. Charlie ends up waking up for a split second, the sounds of Ranboo’s pleas for death echoing through the halls. He notices he’s being dragged, and manages to mumble a few panicked words through his foggy brain. He passes out again and wakes up in the basement of the mall, in some sort of camp. He’s in a bed, all his wounds treated. He finally processes the people around him, a few people in masks of employees, some not. He panics, and tries to hop out of bed and run, only to fall straight on his face. His leg was severely injured, muscles torn. A few of the people surrounding him rush to his aid, Charlie fighting them off out of panic and fear, but to little avail, as his body is still weak. Charlie panics and demands to know where Ranboo is. The people holding him down in bed look between each other, a silent, mutual realization of “ *he doesn't know* “. One of them sighs, looking down to Charlie and carefully explains that Ranboo is gone. This is when Charlie remembers the pleas of death from when he had awoken momentarily. He had not processed it at the time. Charlie lost all will to fight against the people holding him down anymore, breaking into sobs. The people try their best to comfort Charlie, explaining that their goal is to take down Showfall and prevent any more loss like this. Days pass, Charlie making a bit more progress in recovery. The rebels help Charlie walk a bit easier, eventually finding a knee brace in one of the stores of the mall, aiding in his recovery.

As this is happening, Showfall continues production of their shows, reviving their previous cast members (Niki, Ethan, Sneeg, Vinny, Austin) along with new cast members. The new show follows Sneeg as its protagonist. The rebels goal is to shut this show down and save its cast members before the show’s completion.

Skyguy joins the Hades AU to Din's great distress

"How's Snips? And my Captain? I bet they've missed me all this time." "I don't know who you or those other people are, but you are scaring my kid."

They definitely missed him, but Rex sure as hell failed to mention his old General by name or description, so Din can be excused for a bit of rudeness just this once. He's looking for a Jedi to teach his kid, and since meeting Ahsoka he at least now knows that a lightsaber does not a Jedi make, please tone down the menacing looming, Anakin, and just help him, he's got a trinket from Rex in his pocket, he's cool. (Depending on the keepsake he runs with, Anakin is more or less likely to turn up as Vader instead to grant a boon only to make Din's life all the more difficult. So he is part Chaos, part just Disaster Lineage.)

As promised: the 501st command is all here for this project by now, all done in the span of a few months, so they even look like they match :)

brainrotting real bad about my Rebel!AU for generation loss. (if you dont know what that is go see this(link) post)

I think that sometimes when the rebel group has to go out for supplies or whatever else, they have to dress up as brainwashed employees to blend in. So, the first time Charlie has to go out of the camp and put on the mask he panics SOOO bad and has to hold back so much anxiety to blend in. And maybe he does mess up and the rebels have to bail him out after triggering a raised security level. that could be a good fic idea or something (jotting down notes)

Touchy subject

"The 501st was one of the best legions during the war. I've lost a lot of good men over the years - some of them would have given even you Mandos a run for your credits. And my general... My general was a good man too, but that's enough of that, I thought you were too old for bedtime stories by now."

Din just tried to figure out what the colour of the clones' armor paint meant, and why he's never heard Rex mention his CO during all the wartime stories and lectures; whereas he's already got to meet Wolffe and his general and even heard Cody mention his every once in a blue moon. (Special thanks to @witchydom for helping with the "dialogue" :3)

I'll take a bit of your time to give a bit of an explanation why I decided to put Rex in Skelly's spot:

During a playthrough when I was looking for screenshots to use as backgrounds the first thing that greeted me was Zagreus calling Skelly "Captain" upon entering the armoury, or whatever that chamber is called. And that really decided it, let's be honest. Rex is Captain, and that is the Captain's spot. End of story.

Reading "still got it" by qigiined even before I got into watching TCW was such a personality defining experience (seriously, this fic lives forever rent free in my brain), that I really had no other option but to put the few clones that I'm willing to work into this AU somewhere around home base (the covert) - so you can guess where Cody and Wolffe are situated. Or will be, hopefully soon enough. Rex needs to be able to hang out with Cody, that's just how it is. (Rebels and TBB canon who?)

Rex deserves to teach some uppity Mando bounty hunters and other warriors who think too much of themselves a few lessons in humility and some crafty tricks. I think it would be very good for him.

As a throwaway note since we are already under the read more section, I've been thinking about sigils and keepsakes (trinkets) and cthonic companions (I know that over a year ago I inaccurately but very self indulgently designed one for Din, Boba and Cobb, that is not the point now) and while Cody can have one shaped like Boga, and Wolffe can obviously get a stuffed loth wolf (and Bo-Katan a very squishy owl)... I have no idea what shaped companion Rex could have. If anyone has any suggestions and would love to share it with me, I'd be very grateful!

They’re gossiping…

Sparrow loves girl talk, he lives for the gossip Duchess supplies him. At first he pretended like he didn’t care but eventually he stopped putting on a show and they’ve been gossiping daily since then.
