As soon as I saw Hazel from the Monster Road-trip DLC I fell in love. So much so I wanted to try and make a cookie after them. I tried to weigh out the grams as I concocted these but the cups are more accurate. Feel free to try an make these. They’re a funky take on an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie with a dash of warm fall spices.
Recipe:
1 1/4c (320g) Applesauce
1/2c(113g) Butter
1c (240g) Brown Sugar
2c (272g) Flour
2c (160g) Quick Oats
1 Egg
1/2tsp Baking Soda
1/2tsp Salt
1tsp Cinnamon
1/2tsp Nutmeg
1/4tsp Cloves
1tsp Vanilla
1c (160g) Semi Sweet Chocolate
1c (120g) Chopped Hazelnuts
*toast Hazelnuts for extra flavor
In a bowl combine the applesauce and baking soda. In another bowl combine your softened butter, sugar, spices, and vanilla, beat until fluffy. Add your egg in to the butter mix, beat until combined. Then gradually add in your applesauce. Next mix in your oats, then the salt and flour. Once mixed fold in your nuts & chocolate.
Bake at 350 F/175 C for 10-12 minutes.

Was bored tonight so I made myself this recipe card for the empty recipe box sitting in my kitchen that I got at the start of the pandemic. I’ve been trying to collect recipes from my family members and lately I have been going to the library a lot so I’ve been flipping through a lot of cook books and stuff for inspiration! Maybe I could make some to sell at my table?
Also I call different types of food genres, it’s a thing with me and @ferncomics for example Chinese, Italian, Irish or sometimes it’s even simpler and genres can just mean soup, chicken, pasta, ect.

recycled a6 recipe cards (12 pack) with hobbit lettering & watercolours
Jot your favourite recipes in these blank recipe cards, labelled with Shire calligraphy and decorated with original watercolour leaves.
A pack of 12 double-sided recipe cards made of 100% recycled (and wonderfully thick and textured) card. The front of each card has space for the important details – dish name, ingredients, notes, prep time, cook time, and number of servings – and the back is entirely for the recipe directions.
This was a tricky one to design, but I'm really happy with how my lettering turned out. (Alas, it's a lot trickier on a tablet than on paper.) Painting loads of different leaf designs was fun, too!
Dimensions: A6 (105 x 148.5 mm). 300 gsm. 12 cards per pack.
Materials: Card made of an uncoated recycled card in a natural shade, manufactured without the use of Optical Bleaching Agents (OBA). FSC Certified Recycled Fibre.

Looks like someone or something is trying to claw it’s way out of the pie. “Mmm smells good but is it suppose to move like that?”

From my personal stash of recipes, my chocolate chocolate chip cookie. A pretty fitting recipe for Voxer and his secretive sweet tooth.
I tried to track the metric measurements as best I could while making them but the original is made/more accurate with imperial.
Written recipe under the read more:
1 1/2c (340g) Butter
1c (208g) Packed Brown Sugar
1/2c (100g) Granulated Sugar
3 eggs
About 6oz (170g) Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix, slightly under or over will work just fine.
*Cook & Serve kind can be used, the texture/firmness will be slightly off
3 1/3c (400g) All Purpose Flour
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
Pinch of Salt
Chocolate Chips & Nuts
Cream butter, sugar, vanilla, & eggs until light and fluffy. Next add in the pudding mix dry, do not make the pudding and then add it in. Mix until it’s fully combined/the whole batter is a chocolate color and there is no more powder left. In a separate bowl add in you flour, salt, & baking soda together. Stir or sift together before gradually adding it into your butter mix. Fold in chocolate chips & nuts. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a greased or lined baking sheet.
Bake at 375° F/190° C for 8-10 minutes.
These cookies do not spread out much, do not flatten them as they will have softer centers if the dough is in a ball or is domed from a cookie scoop.
Can store at room temp or in fridge in an air tight container for up to 7-10 days. Extras store exceptionally well long term in the freezer. They are delicious to eat from frozen/slightly frozen if you can’t wait.
