TK was recovering little by little and although the pain in his belly from the cesarean was enormous, he was soon able to go to the bathroom by himself, after all it was only twenty steps and even though he was in a wheelchair he spent time every day with the twins. Luna came out of the incubator and was placed in a transparent crib in their room, where she spent all her time, except when it was time to check on the babies.
Daniel, on the other hand, was getting stronger and both his hip and leg were getting stronger, the compression garment was doing its job well and the pediatricians told them that they could take him and Luna home as soon as TK was discharged.
However, the doctor had been very clear and direct with him.

My incredible journey to motherhood 🤰❤

It was a difficult but grateful path! A path that was filled with challenges, but ultimately led to the most precious gift of all: my beautiful baby. While my labor may have been long and challenging, resulting in an emergency cesarean section, I am filled with gratitude because my little one is worth every moment of struggle.
From the very beginning, I dreamt of a smooth and natural birth. However, life had a different plan in store for me - Imagine more than 13 hours of labor! But as per my partner, it was 24 hours since June 4 at dawn I already felt the pain, and went to the hospital but was advised to go home because I was still 1 cm. I haven't slept the whole day and night until the next day, June 5 - I can feel that this is it. Still 1 cm but because I am already in my 41st week my doctor helped me dilate my cervix until it turned 3 cm, 5 cm, then after a few hours, 9 cm. As the hours passed by and the pain intensified, it became clear that my labor wasn't progressing as expected. The medical team asked my partner for a go signal if they could perform an emergency cesarean section to ensure the safety of both me and my baby.
In those moments leading up to the surgery, I had mixed emotions: fear, uncertainty, and a sense of disappointment in myself because I was stucked at 9 cm. God knows I tried to make it into a normal delivery - pushed all the way. Baby's heartbeat became low and I'm having a fever. But amidst it all, one thing remained committed - the overwhelming love I already felt for my unborn child. It was this love that tied me up, giving me the strength to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
To be honest, I felt a slight pinch when they gave me the anesthesia, and after a few minutes, I fell asleep. The anesthesiologist woke me up and told me that I snore lol and that moment, I heard someone say "Mommy's up" and heard the first cry that filled the room. A wave of relief and joy washed over me as tears of happiness streamed down my face. I held my little one for the first time (THE BABY THAT WE PRAYED FOR HOW MANY YEARS), they called it "Unang Yakap" and in that instant, all the pain, fatigue, and uncertainties were forgotten. The connection between us was deep.
4 days later, I got out first and Xyria was left at the hospital for another 2 days for monitoring because she was yellowish. I remembered crying overnight at home because I miss my baby. I was anxious and worried. I was going back and forth to the hospital to breastfeed her. But thank God, she's okay now. So here I am recovering from a cesarean and realized that it isn't just about physical healing; it's also an emotional and mental journey. The experience of having major surgery and becoming a parent can be overwhelming. But I've been fortunate to have a supportive partner Xyruz Hubahib, family, and friends who have been there to lend a listening ear and offer a helping hand.
Today, the 12th day since I gave birth to my precious Xyria, I am humbled and grateful for every twist and turn in this remarkable journey. The sacrifices made, so far the sleepless nights, sore nipples because of breastfeeding lol and the tears shed are all small prices to pay for the incredible joy and love that fill my heart. ♡

Main Characteristics
Modern technologies allow for treatment under the perspective that gestation is no longer a physiological event of life, but instead requires excessive control and healing. Because of this, women become secondary elements in the birthing scenario, and become controlled by institutional rules that separate them in physical, legal, social, and cultural contexts. 
Data was collected from integrative literature review of 24 existing publications on obstetric violence from 2015 onwards. Existing scientific knowledge about the topic was gathered to show patterns and themes over time. The article sought to answer the question of how obstetric violence is characterized in the daily care of the pregnant-puerperal cycle. How does violent obstetric care affect physical recover and mental state (i.e. postpartum post-traumatic stress disorder)?
Reports of violence are frequent and include: denial of the presence of a companion of the women’s choice; lack of information about the different procedures performed during care; unnecessary cesarean sections; deprivation of the right to food and walking; routine and repetitive vaginal exams without justification; frequent use of oxytocin to accelerate labor; episiotomy without the consent of the women; and Kristeller’s maneuver. All these events can ultimately lead to permanent physical, mental and emotional damages.
Groups especially affected by obstetric violence include women of low socioeconomic status, black women and women belonging to other ethnic minorities, adolescents, women with lower levels of education, drug users, homeless women, women without prenatal care, and women without a companion at the time of care. Female subjectivity becomes excluded as an essential feature for women-centered care and the exercise of full citizenship. Women are reproductive, submissive, and physically and morally inferior, allowing for domination, control, abuses, and coercion of their bodies and sexuality. Birth has been transformed into a professional-centered act subject to violent practices.
The Women’s Health Organization has organized forms of obstetric violence into five main categories for legal definition purposes. These categories included 1) routine and unnecessary interventions and medicalization (on the mother or infant), 2) verbal abuse, humiliation or physical aggression, 3) lack of material and inadequate facilities, 4) practices performed by residents and professionals without the woman’s permission without providing her comprehensive, truthful and sufficient information, and 5) discrimination on cultural, economic, religious and ethnic grounds.
Among the forms of OV cited, 10% suffered painful vaginal examinations; 10% were denied to receive pain relief methods; 9% were treated with shouting; 9% heard cursing or were humiliated; 7% received no information about the procedures performed; 23% suffered verbal violence with prejudiced phrases.
Obstetric violence is often explained to be a result of work overload, scarce human resources, physical and mental exhaustion of professionals, precariousness of the conditions for care provision, and lack of adequate infrastructure in institutions.
There needs to be changes in the training models of human resources in the health area. Sexual and reproductive rights of women, gender relations, code of ethics, physiological assistance to labor and delivery, humanization of obstetrical care, teaching of evidence-based practice should be added to the academic routine of future professionals.

Because they had the plan in place, Mike felt a lot better knowing that the hospital knew exactly what she wanted. Giving birth was not as simple as he thought it would be. There were a lot of options to choose from.
He looked at the little miracle in his arms. She was so beautiful. He lifted the blanket to see her little feet. She and her sister had bands around their little ankles with their ID. Planning on having a caesarean? Things to know about caesarean birth
Nearly one-third of all deliveries in the United States are C-sections, according to statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Although many repeat C-sections are performed on women who have already had one, others may be required if there are issues with the pregnancy or delivery.
C-sections for women who have already had one, but also for those who are interested in having another one for any of the following reasons:
Dangerous preexisting conditions in the mother
The positioning of more than two kids in the uterus increases the likelihood that you may require a caesarean section.
A breech delivery occurs when a baby is positioned posteriorly, meaning the buttocks or feet will emerge first, rather than the head.
A lot of our patients have never had a planned C-section before, so they have lots of questions. Let's talk about the time leading up to and following a C-section.
When would it be time for a C-section?
If you have specific health issues or if vaginal birth concerns arise, your doctor may recommend a caesarean section. When any of the following situations arise, a C-section is planned:
