Attempt at invoking something of Colleen Doran’s style in Neil Gaiman’s ‘Snow Glass Apples’ for a comic page on Tanith Lee’s vampire Snow White story, ‘Red as Blood’
Hard work and longer then I thought and no where near as sofisticated but it was fun, might do more pages but definitely after food next time xD
(Also gotta up my planning for text boxes but that’s what practice is for)

The woods were a dangerous, if not fatal, place to be if hunters were around. However, the hunters were the prey on the first Saturday of June.
I gazed at the forest floor littered with dirt and stray stones. From the bough, I felt how the woods breathed in easy greens upon strong wands of brown, dark, medium, light…how the woods weaved every fiber of my being into the shadows under the forest canopy, claiming me as one of its own. I was a part of nature, and the spirit of the forest was my family.
Faint afternoon sunlight dappled the floor, tracing every limb of varying styles. I liked how the strong, risen roots beamed from the thin rays of light touching it, how the chorus of browns led to a seasonal cupola, weaving in natural aromas and beautiful birdsong from horned larks.
The wood’s waterways, where the blues laced with the whites amid earthy hues, amid the swaying green, intersected with gentle moans of rolling rivers that made wavy cuts through the surface. Occasional splashes darkened the soil, wiping away imprints from the wheels of ATVs.
From Red as Blood, coming soon to Wattpad.

Nothing will dispell the "the curtains were just blue" myth faster than writing something yourself, because the amount of pretentious symbolism i am putting in my silly little fanfics is ridiculous. I mean SO much with these words, literally every single one of them. This fic has twenty five typos and zero correct uses of punctuation but if there's curtains you bet your ass I put thought into what colour they were.

Rеם αѕ Βισσם
Many times I've reached a point
Where I've brought myself to the edge
Looked straight ahead
Saw red stop signs
But still chose to jump rather than wait
And
Many will say I shine so bright
Like I'm some source of light
I'm sorry, it is my fault no one sees it is You
That shines through these cracks
Through the wretch that I am
And
Why should I keep worrying
About what will happen tomorrow
If You're already there and You've won
With the Blood that washed all my wrongs
Redeemer of my faults
