Richie and Eddie used to have sleepovers all the time. They used to make a giant blanket fort that would swallow them while. They would have pillow fights and end up wrestling each other in the fort. Then they'd stop and stare at each other before whoever was on top would lean down and connect their lips. ok but you wanna hear something terrible. imagine that after richie got possessed by the deadlights, after eddie attacked IT, richie fell to the ground and hit his head. eddie rushed over to him all the same, but when he got there he finds richie unconscious from falling. eds still goes on his whole ‘richie, i think i killed it’ speech, trying to wake richie up, but it’s as he’s trying that, IT kills him. 

richie doesn’t wake up until mike and ben are dragging him back through the neibolt, out onto the street. richie opens up his eyes just as he watches the house fall down behind him. for a moment, richie feels nothing but pure happiness. they made it out! they’re free! they fucking killed the stupid, fucking clown-

until he looks around him, and notices that someone is missing. 

his heart sinks. 

the losers are trying to get him to lie down, telling him to relax as they try to look at his head injury, telling him not to move too much, that he’s hurt, but all richie can ask is, 

“where’s eddie?”

I’m rewatching Reddy Wedding, and when Captain first talks about the bomb it made me think.

After he talks about the war being over, the ‘don’t dig’ feels more personal, he sounds scared, worried. He doesn’t want her to physically dig but he also doesn’t want her to personally dig. He doesn’t want to think about his feelings, he doesn’t want to remember the day Havers left him.

And we know it relates to love because when Fanny talks to him about love, he tells to bury those feelings. Like he did.

unfortunately i have seen pretty much all of animal through the reels on my instagram explore page so i have one thing to say - STOP. GLORIFYING. CHEATING. i do not give a flying FUCK that you don’t like rashmika mandanna, or that tripti dimri and ranbir kapoor have “better chemistry,” i really don’t. fact of the matter is vijay (ranbir) abused geetanjali (rashmika) and cheated on her with zoya (tripti), and instead of portraying it like the toxic act that it is, sandeep reddy vanga once again chose to glamorize and romanticize that toxicity under the umbrella of “sab kuch papa ke liye kiya, this is what true love is.” believe or not, NO, you actually DON’T have to hurt someone to show that you love them. and of course the movie takes no time in making things worse when vijay says that if he leaves, geetanjali isn’t allowed to remarry, or when she asks him how he’d feel if she cheated and asked for forgiveness to which he angrily responds that it’s unacceptable, as if he has any sort of standing to hand out those kinds of orders after the shit he pulled 🙄

this reeks of double standards and a lack of accountability and it reminds me of something kangana ranaut said in an interview way back when (back at a time when she actually made sense oop) about how there’s nothing wrong with exploring dark subjects in cinema, but the condition is that they have to be portrayed authentically and that means showing the consequences of those actions as well. in real life there are consequences to cheating, consequences to domestic violence, consequences to a lack of self control and anger issues. and if you make the choice to explore these sensitive topics you have taken on the social responsibility to show it as is. you cannot glorify it. cinema is a highly powerful and influential form of media, especially in india, a country where actors and films are worshipped like a religion, and it’s truly beyond me how sandeep reddy vanga has deluded himself and his audience into thinking that he doesn’t have that responsibility at all. then again what else can i expect from a director who thinks that love isn’t real if there’s no violence and you can’t “slap your woman or touch your woman whenever you want” 🤡

“Or me.”

“Ben or Mike,” she emphasized, ignoring Bill, to his annoyance. “Not like, classically. But he’s hot like…like Steve Buscemi is hot.”

“Steve Buscemi?!” Eddie and Bill gasped together.

“He’s not hot!” Eddie cried.

Bev pointed her glass back at him. “He is! He has one of those cool, unique faces. Kinda weird looking, but it works for him. Richie’s like that. He grew into his goofy looks, like I said.”

“That doesn’t make him hot!” Eddie exclaimed. “That makes him goofy looking!”

Bev shrugged. “I stand by it.” She took a sip, paused, and swirled her glass so the ice cubs clinked together. “Why do you ask, anyway?”

Eddie flushed. “No reason.”

This, of course, got Bill’s attention. “Eddie, do you th-think Richie’s hot?”

“No,” he answered way too quickly.

“Oh my god,” Bev said with a grin, “you think Richie’s hot.”

“I don’t think Richie’s hot!”

Bill and Bev exchanged grins. Eddie totally thought Richie was hot.
