Some Crime Sorciere joining Fairy Tail headcanons:
- Jellal wins his S-Class trial easily.
- Meredy quickly wins everyone’s hearts. She's very close with Lisanna.
- The fact that Erik can hear so well freaks them all out. A lot of them avoid him at first because of this.
- Mirajane plays matchmaker for all of them but instead of relationships, she’s trying to get them to befriend specific members of the guild.
- The Oracion Seis in particular need a lot of help making friends at first. They are so used to only having one another that they are terrible at being social.
- Mira and Erik form a very freaky friendship. She makes him special drinks with poison and he gives her the latest tea of fairy romance
- Jellal gets challenged to a fight at least 3 times a day. Everyone wants him to throw down with laxus or gildarts. He is not interested in the slightest
- Meredy loves the guilds fights. She hits you with the huge grin and then punches you right in the face. She’s a little terror
-Macbeth makes fast friends with Lucy and Levy because he often sleeps in the library which the two girls frequent often
-Sawyer and Richard love Jet and Droy. They are almost always spotted drinking together in the guild

Rogue/Magneto was something Marvel really seemed prepared to go all in on back in the day. It looked like something Claremont was toying with before he left, and might've got more focus if he'd stayed, but once he was gone and Jim Lee took full control the focus quickly shifted to Rogue/Gambit.
Age of Apocalypse then gave it new life, giving us a Magneto and Rogue who were happily married and with a son. The massive success of that arc no doubt encouraged the writers to keep the Rogue/Magneto dance going, which is how we ended up with Joseph, a character originally introduced as an amnesiac, younger looking Magneto. Very quickly he was pulled into a love triangle with Rogue and Gambit, only for the writers to then reveal he was a clone of Magneto and then died.
I'm fairly sure that was never the original plan, I believe Joseph was meant to be the real Magneto, but the editor insisted Magneto be a villain rather than a redeemed hero and that was the best idea the writers came up with. By that point, though, Rogue/Gambit had become more popular thanks to X-Men: The Animated Series, and Rogue/Magneto soon faded away accept in an Age of Apocalypse revisits.

I find it hilariously shitty that Stark is still harping on about Erik. I think the overlap of Stark's relationship with Zoey and Erik's relationship with Zoey was maybe two days? If that? And then Zoey assaulted and broke up with Erik for being mad that she was cheating on him again after promising to be exclusive.
Like, Heath and Aurox are both attempted rapists (as is Stark), but I'm supposed to hate Erik?

Thoughts and pictures - S3E1
So after digesting my first watch a little bit, I'm starting my rewatch of this season and I'll share a few thoughts and reactions (and screenshots) because I can't keep it all to myself 😱
I was happy that we dived directly into the (sort of) trial and confrontation between Wilhelm, Simon and August. I do wonder how much time passed between the speech and this scene though. It sets the tone for the entire season for Wilhelm: he's gonna be alone, with no support whatsoever from his parents. He enters the room alone, his parents arrive after him and his mother doesn't even look at him... Simon arrives with his mother and August with his stepdad. But Wilhelm has to deal with the situation alone (aka how to get incredibly mad at Kristina barely 5min into the season 😤)
Tumblr media
Simon looks so pretty and so sad. (And how did Omar manage to look even younger this season??) He wants to be done with this whole thing. Also I checked but 1.2 millions kronor is not as much as I thought it would be (it's apparently around 107 000€, which is not bad, but I was expecting more)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I see what you did there Simon 😏 (Can someone gif this scene and put it in parallel with Wilhelm seeing Simon's room for the first time and saying "cozy" in season 1? :p)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The boys coming back to the meeting: very smooth. Nobody knows what you were doing. Nop. Not at all. (We can see Linda kinda smirking when Simon sits back whereas Kristina looks like she just ate a very sour lemon). Wilhelm arranging his hair and Simon smiling at him: they might be in the middle of an important meeting and at the Palace but they're still 2 teenage boys in love (and I love them for that 💜)
Rickard looked and sounded like such an idiot in the previous seasons that I didn't expect him to actually be competent! But I guess we were mostly seeing him through August's eyes... I know Rickard said he was the best lawyer in the country but I have to admit that I thought he was just bragging ^^' Also: August is such an asshole. Did he really need to rile up Wilhelm like that? He's got quite the confidence to attack him and tell him how he just fuck things up on his own, in front of everyone like that, including the queen. Who, again, is not defending her son!! She tells them to shut up but she says nothing to August for talking like that to her son 😠
Tumblr media
(They look like they've been called to the principal office). Kristina doesn't look at them immediately, she looks at Erik's picture on her desk first. Then she looks at August. And then finally at Wilhelm. She is so awful to him this season... Right from the start. And then she breaks down crying for Erik.
Tumblr media
While Wilhelm holds her. I wasn't expecting to see her grieve so much this season. We didn't see that at all in season 2. Is it because she repressed all of her emotions too much? I hate that she breaks down like that just after Wilhelm publicly coming out. How can she not be there for him. I get that it must be hard to lose a son, but she still has a very alive one, who needs her.
Tumblr media
Kristina is not getting redeemed in this season but Linda kinda is! I was super happy to see her get in mama bear's mode at the trial ^^ It was about time!! But here: I'm sorry Linda but it's not your son's role to keep you updated about what's going on in your house! You're the mother! Stop putting everything on this kid's shoulders!! Maybe he never tells you but do you ever ask??
Tumblr media
Simon being truly angry at Sara is so good. I am so happy so he's able to feel that way and to not feel like he has to repress it, to forgive her, to help her. She did something truly bad and he's allowed to be mad. Also look at his angry lil' face 💜
Tumblr media
In things that made me laugh: Wilhelm's reaction and face to learning that Simon is grounded all semester xD He was talking all smoothly/flirty and then his tone changes so dramatically when he realizes he won't be able to get his boyfriend in his bed very soon! Horny boy is horny (and frustrated :p)
Tumblr media
This faaaaaace ☹
I'm happy to see that Simon still has Ayub and Rosh here to support him. I wish they would have told him that replying to comments online was a bad idea though. You know the saying kids: don't feed the trolls!!
Wilhelm looks like such a normal teenager when he gets back to his room. First time we see him so carefree. It breaks my heart to know that on the other side Simon is so unwell already.
Tumblr media
Wilhelm waking up happy and smiling. And being just a teenager (for the first time in a very long time): thinking about his boyfriend, redrawing the heart on his hand. It's such teenager things!! My boy just wants to have a normal life... (And then he's immediately reminded that he's actually not just a regular teenager with Farima's text).
Tumblr media
Simon's worried face when he asks about Wilhelm's initiation. You can see he's truly horrified at the idea that he might have gone through what's been described in the article.
Tumblr media
And then it starts: the piling up of everything on Wilhelm's shoulders. First his mother looking really unwell and breaking down (even though she hasn't been said to be officially ill yet), and now the negative impact of his speech on the school... Which Vincent takes great pleasure in reminding him about.
This first episode is really good at setting things in motion. We see already the beginning of what's gonna go down during this season: Simon not feeling well, dealing with online hatred, struggling with his new place next to Wilhelm in the spotlight. And Wilhelm trying to finally live a carefree life at school with his boyfriend now that he's officially out but slowly getting crushed under the pressure of his role as Crown Prince and the increasingly obvious lack of support from his parents.

listen, i know phandom notoriously romanticizes erik and christine, it's the nature of the thing and its allure, and i've no problem with that (even though i'm a raoul girlie at heart! lnd does not exist), but since i'm seeing some massively inaccurate bad faith takes on the bird app celebrating the show closing because it's "toxic/problematic/glamorizes stalking/is about stockholm syndrome" (lol not this again) "the phantom is a bad abusive murderer" (yeah! the story KNOWS this! have any of these people ever once understood gothic romance? or fiction? or, like, joy...?), allow me to dust off a quick and ineloquent commentary on our heroine, miss christine daae:
the phantom is not the protagonist. christine is. the emotional and psychological lens through which the story is told is christine's. the journey and character growth from innocent ingenue to more knowing woman? christine's. the character who radically transforms the narrative through her will, bravery, and compassion? christine! christine is the hero of her own story! christine overcomes extraordinary grief, trauma, gaslighting, manipulation, exploitation of her innate talents, an obsessive in pursuit of her, an entire company who doesn't believe her and thinks she's a mad child (even her beloved - the light romance contrasting the dark one - is guilty of this for a bit), and she does this with fortitude and reclamation of her self and her own voice, and by displaying extraordinary empathy. the phantom doesn't let her go because he suddenly becomes "good" himself, or is "redeemed," he lets her go because her goodness overwhelms him, her small act of tenderness even after she angrily and rightfully defies him forces him to realize she deserves her life. that to love someone does not mean you can treat them as a possession. (please note that in the book, he dies shortly afterwards. his is an immense and broken love, and he is a tragic figure.)
it is not a story about an abuser with the upper hand, it's a story about a young woman who survives, grows, and LEAVES. her courage and grace is the fueling engine of the entire machine. her agency is paramount in the ending. i frankly won't stand for erasure of that, and derivative takes about her as a hapless victim and the show as endorsing the phantom (it doesn't) have always made me want to drop a few chandeliers.

do you think in future magneto's relationship with his grandkids(Tommy,Billy and Luna) might blow up (or become strained) due to their understanding of extremely complex relation between him and their parents? Like tommy and Luna have faced parental dysfunctionality so they might catch it sooner. And billy comes from healthy family so it might surprise him. I am asking this question since all 3 are very loyal towards their mother/dad and love them fiercely and Tommy and Luna specifically love their parents to death. Also, despite the many panels of magneto being grandfather( and I admit they are good) do you actually think he is a decent grandparent?
I've always felt that Erik makes a better grandfather than he does a father figure but let's be clear here, the bar is on the floor when it comes to Erik being a good father figure, in fact the bar might even be buried several miles underground. So yes, I do think Erik makes a better grandfather than he does a father, and like I mentioned before there's more space between the trauma of being a father who lost a child and being a grandfather who is trying his best for a better world for the future. His grand kids are the future of the world. They are who he's been fighting for, the future of mutant kind/his own family.
Luna is the most versed in disappointing fathers within the Magnet Family among her cousins, she even cut contact with Pietro until he redeemed himself, and she's always been sympathetic to Erik. Tommy also has issues with parents disappointing him so I think both of them would have a better chance at navigating the family drama that comes up with the magnet family, but Billy would have a harder time/be crushed with disappointment more than them.
Honestly I wish we had a Magnet Family focused book and I'd love for Luna to spend time with her grandfather and cousins.

One thing I love about your au. Is that you don’t baby Adam. You acknowledge that he should be held accountable for his actions against the Frankenstein family. This fandom has a weird thing going on trying to defend Adam in these murders.
I fully agree. I also feel like the blind babygirling and the woobification actually do him a disservice and detract from the complexity of this character.
I can understand being sympathetic tbh. Adam Frankenstein is a tragic character and I believe he has the ability to love with his whole heart but he wasn't really given a chance.
But he did react to his rejection by deciding that the answer is "killing spree" and if we're going to grant that he has free will and autonomy then we need to acknowledge that all of his most unpleasant thoughts and actions reflect a part of his personality as well.
Kind of like with Erik the Phantom it is the presence of goodness and the capacity for kindness that salvages him from being a one dimensional monster. Adam does have regrets and the horrors he commits come from a relatable place. We understand why he did it and to a point his anger over his rejection feels very human. Speaking from a queer lens there are times when I've seen my own frustration and rage reflected in this character. It's not wholesome, it's ugly and it's messy and even if I understood that it was wrong to act out in anger there was part of me that still wanted to. My own mother reduced me to an "it" the minute it looked like I wasn't cis-het and it was so easy for her to do that it made me wonder if I'd ever been a person to her at all. That kind of rejection can really fuck you up.
In that mental state there is something appealing about the idea of giving in and being the monster everyone insists you are. But I also feel like that's where the tragedy should come from. Adam's actions weren't right but their motivations came from a relatable place.
this is the appeal of sympathetic villain characters and a huge part of why I want him to have his shot at redemption.
But we can't redeem someone who never fell from grace.

Listing my fave Eriks (Phantomverse Of Madness).
This is a post i was suppose to make a long time ago, but i only got the time to write it now. I will probably make a part 2 with the "Worse/Less Favorite Eriks".
Remember everyone, this is ✨MY OPINION✨. No adaptation is free from flaws, these 6 Eriks are my favorite but they won't escape from my critics. And if you disagree, feel free to comment about.
6. MazM!Erik (2018)
Tumblr media
We start with a polemic one. Mazm!Erik has an unique beauty and amazing hairstyle, his PTSD, the pain, the crying little boy inside of the man, the despair to be loved are still ON POINT. But let's not forget they turned him into a generic anime sociopath who does bad things because yes, and abuses Christine, and keeps Melek aprisioned, and other nonsense things of this mediocre script. However, MazM!Erik is still redeamable at some point and he has good stuffs.
5. Chaney's Erik (1925)
Tumblr media
Our first adaptation, the 1925s silent movie! In my opinion, NO ONE played Erik better than Lon Chaney. No one. Like, this man, he's just fantastic. Chaney's hands, movements, the PHANTASTIC make-up, the expressions of pain, madness, anger and tenderness, OH MY GOD THIS IS HEAVEN!!!
ok but let's not forget the ending sucks and the movie tried at best to villainize Erik, this is unforgivable.
4. Merik (1986-2004)
Tumblr media
Probably the most known version among us. Andrew Loyd Webber delivered us an amazing, outbreathing and beautiful musical that saved Broadway's story in the 1980s and brought Phantom back to popular tastes since then. Musical Erik has its questions, many people fan of the novel think Webber tried somehow to make him more manipulative and less redeeming. After all, even though people he killed weren't innocent at all, Erik isn't a man who runs out judging people and killing the ones he consider to be unworthy. He killed in EXTREMELY ocasional times in the novel. By the way, the way he constantely manipulates Christine and try to keep control as "the Angel" is just... no.
The original Erik wouldn't do this. He hates lying to Christine, he avoids at his best hurting her. Merik has more childish and toxic behaviour, even though he still ends up redeemed and changed out of his own will and kindness. We cannot deny Merik is one of a kind, one of the most iconic versions of the story. There are many actors who played Merik: Gerard Butler, Ramin Karimloo, Hugh Panaro, Norm Lewis, Ben Lewis, Michael Crawford, i could make a whole blog about my favorites and less favorites Meriks. And i'll probably do it.
3. Cherik (1990)
Tumblr media
Look what we have here ❤️
"MY GOD, THIS PLACE REALLY IS HAUNTED" -- this and other funny lines are a gift of Charles Dance's version of Erik. The minisseries isn't very loyal to the novel, however, it's not a bad adaptation at all. This Erik is funny, shy, awkard and more healthy than most of the other versions. I disaprove anything about his version? Yep. First, he wears too colored clothes and is less "dark and goth" like other Eriks. Second, his mother actually loved Erik in this version... I think this was an unnecessary changing. Because the horrible abuse committed by Erik's mother is something EXTREMELY important that can't be changed. Mommy issue is an essence of this character. Should I talk about the "Christine looking like his mom" problem?
Well...
2. Kerik (1990)
Tumblr media
Our favorite Susan Kay monologue! Yes, here it is. Kerik (or Serik as some people say) is funny, jerky and tragic, it's almost the same as Leroux's version, as it is supposed to be because "Phantom" isn't exactly an adaptation, but an explanation/expansion of what we've seen originally. Phantom is so good that we phans consider it as canon!
I can't help but say his relationship with Christine in this monologue is weird and a bit disappointing, though. Susan Kay actually started this "Christine looked like Erik's mom" shit, and it's not only weird, it literally confirms Erik's love for Christine was not real, that he only wanted to have a normal relantionship with his mother and Christine was a link to escape his pain. Ok, it makes sense Erik having mommy issues, but i disagree with Kay's vision about his love.
1. Lerik, The Original (1910).
Tumblr media
Claps to our king, sis and bros. Gaston Leroux wrote this character with passion. This is my favorite deformity and vision about the character, the lines and the emotions are all just perfect for me. No one ever surprassed the original novel. Erik is a symbol, and a figure to many people. A broken, tortured, emotionally unstable man, who wants to fix everything his way, who doesn't have anyone to trust, who searches for love, pity and compassion, who searches for inclusion and tenderness from the society... but had everything despised and wasted. Erik, originally, is not a villain or a romantic hero. He is an anti-hero. He's the representation of frustrated people and abuse survivors who are able to LOVE, even after everything they had to pass throught. People who are able to recognize and fix their mistakes, people who won't sacrifice their beloved ones happiness for their own problems and fears. Erik is all of us.
Thank you.
