Let's Talk: E3 Microsoft Showcase
Alrighty, so Im just going to say whatever. I didn't expect much from this year's E3. I mean judging from the last couple of years, E3 has been predominantly a dud in all categories and this year is not much different.
Also I'm not gonna talk about Halo cause, not my cup of tea and I respect the fuck out of that series and it looks pretty damn good anyway.
But there is only a hand full of games that grabbed my attention but within that hand full, there's only 2 I'm pretty set on actually buying once they are released.
but before that I'm going to talk about the games I'm interested but not too sure on investing in it.
Not gonna lie, I was hyped for this when it was first announced years ago. But now after some small leaks and seeing the new trailer today, imma hold off until I see a gameplay from this before giving this game another looksee.
FAR CRY 6
Alrighty, I did enjoy the last Far Cry games but I'm holding off on this one for a sec until the release. However, I'm still on the fence, the story sounds interesting and I do love the unique weapons and the crazy ass chicken in the game trailer. But I'm not tight with Ubisoft, even if the main character is a badass.
The showcase ended with Arkane Studios' new game Redfall and it was pretty anticlimactic no offense. If it's not zombie or aliens, it's vampires lul; I kinda fits since it's being made by Arkane studios. HOWEVER, this is only a trailer, who the fuk knows what the actual gameplay will look like. Until then, kool vampires, sure. The trailer is giving me Left 4 Dead or any other sort of group survival game; but like I said this is only a trailer, hopefully we'll see some gameplay soon.
Also imma need for peeps to stop with the "It's not TES 6". I understand the disappointment, it's been too damn long and we all modded Skyrim to death and we need new fresh gameplay and sloot mods, but what did you expect from Bethesda.
I love Limbo and Inside and this game from Jumpship is giving me those vibes (I mean of course the founder of Inside created this studio along with other ex-Playdead workers BUT anyways). I'm definetely going to keep an eye out for this.
I saw bits of the gameplay months ago. I think it's interesting, I love the enemy designs and the combat system reminds me a bit of Prey and Metro (2 games I fairly enjoyed) so I cant wait to see what's in store for this one.
THE OUTER WORLDS 2
I actually enjoyed this game, it save me the anxiety of the 2020 elections. And my character Maxi Pad is perfection. Hopefully they can update the combat system in the game, it's felt a little sluggish in the first one.
A PLAGUE TALE: REQUIEM
If you haven't played the first game, you fuking should; go play it right now. It's really good, I love the characters so I cant wait to see what happens in this one.
Saving the Best for last. I love cyberpunk games and 2020 not only broke my heart but it almost broke my damn playstation so yea. Anyways, Replaced looks promising; I love the modes, the art direction, etc Im curious what the story will be. HOWEVER, there was another similar game from a completely different studio giving with the same vibes called "The Last Night". The trailer of The Last Night trailer was released years ago but the actual game still hasn't been released yet. so I guess, Replaced has "replaced" The Last Night.
I do hope The Last Night also release, but I haven't really heard much from them.
