THE CHILDREN OF KING GEORGE III & QUEEN CHARLOTTE OF THE UNITED KINGDOM
The royal couple welcomed a total of fifteen children together, but sadly not all of them survived into adulthood. Two, Prince Octavius and Prince Alfred, passed away in infancy, at the ages of 2 and 4, respectively, from smallpox. Later on, Princess Amelia also sadly died young, albeit it at the age of 27, after succumbing to tuberculosis.
As for when their brood started to arrive, it seems George and Charlotte wasted no time in getting to know one another and less than a year into their marriage, on 12 August 1762

Introducing Regency Source - a blog dedicated to history, literature, film and TV set in the wider Regency Period (1795-1837).
The Regency Era is a sub-period of the longer Georgian Era (1714–1837). It is so named after the Prince Regent, later King George IV of House Hanover.
If you love period drama and or have a love of fashion history, art and literature, give us a follow! We are tracking #regencyedit and #regencysource and will try to reblog as much as we are tagged in.
