Months ago I did a render with policeman and Alex in a police station while pedo-ring investigation with Bumby and Radcliffe as the lead and searching Alice... And you know what? After some talking with my friend I was like: I really like the idea that Regis and Alex would marry as a really good friends because Alex being an "old maid" (like, she's in her 30s in 1875) and Reginald being a widower with eight years old daughter.
So I did modern AU render with them :DD
(And the fact that Reginald looks like Mortimer Goth is a coincidence. I noticed it when I started making the render XD)

Five
Klaus
Vanya
Allison
Diego
Luther
Ben
Pogo
Grace
You
Everyone else talking is white.
Everyone stares at Luther waiting for him to speak. He stands up ready to make his point.
"Um..I guess..."
"C'mon speak up, Luther."
Luther sends Five a glare.
"Before that, I figured we could have some sort of memorial service. You know in the courtyard at sun down."
Klaus flies over to the bar and pulls out his cigarette, smoking away from the group.
"A few words at dad's favorite spot."
"Dad had a favorite spot?"
Luther looked at her confused, how could she not know.
"You know the spot under the oak tree."
Everyone shrugged.
"We used to sit there all the time. None of you ever did that?"
Klaus flies back over, now having two drinks in his hand. He hands one to Five before drinking some of his own.
"Will there be any refreshments?"
Everyone turns towards him.
"Tea? Scones? Cucumber sandwiches are always a winner."
Luther's brows furrowed at the question.
"What? No. And put that out. Dad didn't allow smoking in here."
Five, Diego and Klaus all rolled their eyes at the statement.
"Dad didn't allow a lot of things, Luther."
Luther rolls his eyes at Five.
"Listen up. Still some important things that we need to discuss, all right?"
"Yeah? Like what?"
"Like what?"
Five and Diego were tired of him talking in circles and wanted him to get to the point.
"Like the way he died."
Diego sighs and Klaus sits down.
"Here we go..."
"I don't understand. I thought they said it was a heart attack."
Luther nods at Vanya.
"Yeah, according to the coroner."
"Wouldn't they know?"
"Theoretically."
Vanya was confused at what he was saying but Diego knew exactly what he was saying.
"Theoretically?"
Allison gives Luther a concern look.
"I'm just saying at the very least, Something happened."
"Something, like someone killed him."
"Exactly, He told me I should be careful who to trust."
Diego shakes his head and stands up.
"Luther, he was a paranoid, bitter old man who was starting to lose what was left of his marbles."
Luther shook his head in disbelief.
"No. He must have known something was going to happen."
He looks directly at Klaus with a pleading look in his eye.
"Look, I know you don't like to do it but I need you to talk to dad."
Klaus scoffs and Allison does the same. Klaus shakes his head he was way too high for this.
"I can't just call Dad in the afterlife and be like, 'Dad, could you just...stop playing tennis with Hitler for a moment and take a quick call.'"
Luther looks at him annoyed.
"Since when? That's your thing."
"I'm not in the right...frame of mind."
"You're high?"
"Yes, Yeah!"
Luther points to the ceiling.
"You were just flying."
Klaus lifts up his feet moving his toes around, Vanya moves his foot from in front of her face.
"My flight and my seance powers are two different things. I take my shoes off I fly. I get high, the ghosts go bye, bye."
Luther glares at him as he takes another drag from his cigarette.
"Well sober up. This is important."
"It's nonsense, that's what it is. There are more important things. Like the end of the world."
Luther quickly turns on Five.
"How could you say that? Our dad is dead."
Five shrugs.
"And the world is better off for it."
"I'm with Five on this one."
Luther shrugs him off.
"Then there's the issue with the missing monocle."
"Who gives a shit about a stupid monocle?"
Everyone just stares at Luther as he acts like he made a good point, he starts ranting about how it was someone who held a grudge against Reginald.
"Where are you going with this?"
"Isn't it obvious, Klaus?"
Five glares at Luther and Diego followed along finishing the rest of Five's statement.
"He thinks one of us killed Dad."
The room went silent. Five and Diego continued to glare at Luther, Allison looked offended, Klaus was in disbelief and Vanya was confused.
"You do?"
"How could you say that?"
Diego just shakes his head at him.
"Good job, Luther. Way to lead."
Diego walks away from him. Five gets up as well, flipping him off.
"Our oh so great leader everyone. Screw this."
Klaus gets upset and stands up ready to leave as well when Luther tries to make up an excuse for what Diego said.
"You're crazy, man. You're crazy."
"I'm not finished."
Allison and Vanya also stand up ready to leave the room.
"Sorry, I'm just gonna go murder Mom. Be right back."
"That's not what I was saying."
After everyone left Luther was left alone to process what just happened.

A crowd of people hover outside of a bank. An alarm goes off from inside, the SWAT team pulling up at every corner of the place.
Different news channels showed up to get a peek on the action from inside the building. From a building far away Reginald watched along with his adopted child Vanya.
"This is Jim Hellerman, reporting live for Channel 2 News."
"This is Rebecca Coleman, giving you the inside scoop on a recent robbery..."
"John Hughes from Channel 8, three hours ago a group of armed men entered the Capital West bank at main and sixth."
Inside the building a man walked around yelling at his walkie talkie. One of his other partners was struggling to get people to stay behind the desk, he had to wrestle with some of them.
The man on the walkie doesn't notice the younger uniformed girl skipping up behind him until it's too late.
"Hey, get back with the others."
The girl smiles at him leaning in as if to tell him something.
"I heard a rumor."
The man squints his eyes at her.
"What? What did you say?"
He leaned in more towards the girl which made her smile grow wider.
"I heard a rumor that you shot your friend in the foot."
The man stared off into space before his eyes turned pure white. He turned his gun towards another man wearing a suit that had a similar mask as him.
His partner panicked as he watched him trying to convince him not to shoot but it was too late. The man screamed out in agony causing everyone around him to panic including the people outside of the building.
During the commotion, Luther scrambles across the roof of the building before breaking through it, he slams one of the men against the table before throwing him out of the window. The police looked confused and pointed their guns to the window.
Diego ran from wherever he was hiding before throwing two knives into the shoulder of another goon.
"Guns are for sissies, Real men throw knives."
The man that was near Allison climbs up on the desk, his gun now pointed directly towards the children and he kept backing up trying to put a lot of space between him and them.
"Stay away freaks."
Diego pouts at him playfully.
"Hey, be careful up there, buddy."
"Get back now!"
Allison grins at him.
"Wouldn't want you to get hurt."
"Or what?"
The man turns towards the sound of another voice to find Five smiling up at him cockily. He pulls the trigger shooting at the boy but he disappears. He hears a whoosh sound behind him turning to find the same boy but this time he was glaring at him.
He goes to shoot him again but this time his gun was replaced by a stapler however that didn't stop him from pressing on it multiple times in desperation. Five grins at the man, amused.
"That's one badass stapler."
Five grabbed the man's hand that was holding the stapler and used it to knock him out. He hops down joining the rest of his siblings. They all faced the door where they were told more people were. The crowd looked at them in shock, tape still around their hands and mouths.
"Do we have to do this?"
Klaus and Five pat their brother's back before Luther pushes his towards the door giving him a stern look.
"Come on, Ben. There's more guys in the vault."
Ben sighs before walking inside.
"I didn't sign up for this."
The hostages all run out of the building scared for their lives leaving the kids to watch as blood splattered onto the door and windows. Moments later their brother comes out shivering and covered in blood.
"Can we go home now?"
The kids walk outside the building, watching as the police start to put their guns away and the cameras start to focus on them. Diego, Luther, and Allison smiled proudly at the cameras while Klaus and Five do too, Ben stares at his feet shyly.
"Why can't I go play with the others?"
Vanya looks at her dad with questioning eyes. He only looks at her annoyed which causes her to look away from him.
"We've been through this before, Number 7. I'm afraid there's just nothing special about you."
Vanya looks down at her siblings sadly, watching them wave at the people in front of them. She didn't notice A woman watching her back. Reginald leaves Vanya up on the roof by herself making his way over to the others.
"Our world is changing. Has changed. There are some among us gifted with abilities far beyond the ordinary. I have adopted six such children. I give you the inaugural class of the Umbrella Academy."
The children all grin at each other and the audience. The woman moved her attention from Vanya towards the children in front of her. The people around her got rowdy, all trying to be heard.
"Mister Hargreeves! Mister Hargreeves. Channel 9 News. What happened to their parents?"
"They were suitably compensated."
"Are you concerned about the welfare of the children?"
The kids all look towards their father, wanting to hear his answer.
"Of course, as I am for the fate of the world."
-
The woman looks around making sure no one was following her before stepping into the water. She walks deeper and deeper before completely emerging herself into the water.
Her legs started to fuse together before turning into a beautiful coral blue. She dove deeper into the water, gliding against different types of fish until she reached a golden castle.
She swam towards her room before lying on a mattress someone brought that she took from a shipwreck.
She sighed trying to make herself comfortable and closed her eyes. She opened them again when she felt the presence of another beside her.
"How was your trip to the human world, my love?"
The woman stared into the eyes of her husband.
"It was fine. Though I saw the weirdest thing today."
The merman looked at her with interest which she chuckled about.
"Apparently the humans have gotten themselves a group of supernaturals."
"Really?"
The mermaid sighs, looking towards the ceiling.
"Unfortunately, they're under Hargreeves care."
Her husband's eyes widened at the statement she made. While the two are not anywhere near close to being friends with Hargreeves, they have worked with the man before.
"I hate to think of the paths those children would go down under his care."
She looked back at her husband with a deep frown on her face.
"There was another kid that he had left on the roof, almost like he didn't want her around the others."
She laid her hands down on her stomach and started to rub it softly.
"Promise me, that if we have a second child. We won't make one feel better than the other."

You look around the room, staring blankly at the walls. You were bored out of your mind. You knew this was your punishment for trying to leave without completing your mission and you knew it could be much worse with the way they handle things here, you were surprised you got off this easy.
Though the cuffs around your hands were starting to make your wrist hurt. No one has been in since the handler earlier that day and the quiet was starting to get to you. They knew the best way to break you was to isolate you from the people you loved, it was something Five picked up on when he met you and something the Temps picked up on when they would lock you up for days to see how long you'd last. It was like a game to them however they did stop after Five threatened to kill them after finding out about it.
You sighed to yourself until you heard Five calling for you from inside your head. It scared you a bit and you were going to visit him until you heard the sound of footsteps from further down the hall. It was one of the different mermaid powers you unlocked. When you were younger, you always wondered how your mom could talk to the whales back at home, she said it was a gift that mermaids got when they were older, she explained how they communicated with sound and part of you didn't understand until one day when you were on a kill mission with Five and suddenly everything was louder than normal.
You heard the sound of footsteps getting louder and louder as the person got closer. The door to the room opened to reveal Herb with a tray of food in his hand.
"Oh, the Handler decide she's too good to see me now? I'm hurt."
You send him a playful smile to show you were kidding, you always like Herb. He was a nice guy, always kind to everyone and helpful. You did wonder how a guy like him could end up working for the Temps.
Herb smiles back at you placing the tray at your feet.
"Too bad, you get me instead."
Your smile grew until you looked at the tray below you which caused him to get worried.
"What's wrong? Do you not like it? I picked it myself."
"It's not that."
You gesture to your cuffed hands.
"I can't very much eat with my hands immobile."
Herb sighs before playing with his hands.
"I'd love to let you down but the Handler said if I did, she'd doc my pay again."
Herb then taps his chin.
"But she's sending some guards in later, like two or three of them."
He looked into your eyes and you instantly knew what he was hinting at. You wouldn't get him in trouble if there were other people down here instead. You smirk at the thought.
"Could you at least feed me then?"
Herb nodded his head with a smile reaching down to grab the food.
⌛💪🎻🗣️🔪👻⌛💪🎻🗣️👻🔪⌛💪
Klaus stood at the bar staring down at the framed photo and ashes of his adopted father with a pout on his face.
"Listen up old man. You know, if I was murdered, and one of my sons--"
He stops himself.
"Adopted sons-- happen to be able to commune with the dead, I might think about, I don't know, I don't know... manifesting!!"
He was laughing about it but the better part of him was annoyed with the thought of having to manifest the man that tortured him most of his life. He wasn't too keen on having him around him but if it'll get Luther off his back, why not.
Klaus starts to move his hands around upset with the fact that he couldn't conjure him. He stares down at the photo, anger and frustration growing more and more.
He sighs and tries to patiently wait for something-- anything to happen but nothing does.
He tries to clear his mind, still nothing and that made him more upset.
"You always were a stubborn bastard!"
He points an accusatory finger at the picture in front of him.
"I don't know about you, but I need a drink."
Klaus goes to grab some alcohol but ends up knocking over his father's ashes instead.
In the other rooms in the house everyone just sits in silence waiting for the funeral to start. The family never felt more like strangers than they did in that very moment.
-
The family now stood outside in the pouring rain holding umbrellas in their hands. Five gave Ben's statue a somber look. He had wondered if he had been there would Ben had still suffered the same fate.
Grace looked at her children with a confused smile on her face.
"Did something happen?"
They all looked at her concerned.
"Dad died. Remember?"
"Oh, yes. Of course."
Most robots wouldn't feel anything but Grace felt an odd sense of embarrassment, sadness, and a small sense of relief.
"Is mom okay?"
Allison looked at Diego.
"Yeah, yeah, she's fine."
He turned to look at Grace, his gaze softening.
"She just needs to rest. You know, recharge."
Pogo walks up finally meeting up with the others before asking Luther to proceed. Luther walks up opening the top of the container which held the ashes of his father, he pours it on the ground but not much comes out. Klaus cringes knowing he was the reason it happened.
"Probably would have been better with some wind."
"Does anyone wish to speak?"
No one steps up, they all look at the other instead. Considering no one had any good memories of him. Grace stepped up facing her children.
"He wasn't the best father.. and an even worse husband.."
Diego nodded along with his mother's words.
"But if he was guilty of anything-- it was caring for the world so much that he sacrificed his personal relationships.."
Diego frowned deeply at her statement.
"Unfortunately, he never asked us how we felt about that. But that doesn't make his death in vain. we must--"
"Stop. Stop."
Diego walks up to Grace, touching her shoulder.
"Mom, You don't have to defend him. He's gone now."
"Diego."
"He was a monster."
Klaus laughs.
"He was a bad person and a worse father. The world's better off without him."
Luther glares at him and Allison tries to get him to be quiet again.
"Diego!"
"My name is Number two."
He looks at her which makes her look away from him.
"You know why? Because our father couldn't be bothered to give us names."
He gestures to Grace.
"He had mom do it."
Grace tries to discuss the situation.
"Would anyone like something to eat?"
"No, it's okay mom."
"Oh, Okay."
Everyone looks down, contemplating Diego's words. Klaus and Vanya were in agreement, Five was indifferent, Allison was sad, and Luther felt torn.
"Look, you wanna pay your respects?"
Diego turns to look at each and every one of his siblings.
"Go ahead. But at least be honest about the kind of man he was..."
"You should stop talking now."
Diego turns to Luther annoyed.
"You know, you of all people should be on my side here, Number One."
"I'm warning you."
Klaus bites at his nails feeling stressed and Five just looks away from the scene already expecting a fight to break out before making eye contact with Klaus.
"He had to ship you a million miles away."
"Diego, stop talking."
Luther got upset. He didn't want to believe Diego's words.
"That's how much he couldn't stand the sight of you!"
Diego stabs his finger into Luther's chest which makes him retaliate by pushing it off and swinging a punch however he misses as Diego dives under his arm. He swings another but ends up missing again. Allison watches with a disappointed look in her eyes, Vanya pulls Grace back not wanting her to get hurt, Pogo tries to stop them, and Klaus puts a protective arm in front of Five which earns him a glare and a smack on his arm.
The two continue to go at it getting closer and closer to Ben's statue. Vanya begs for the boys to stop as Klaus eggs it on. Diego uses technique on Luther which throws him off guard as he felt he was stronger. Luther tries hard to use his physical strength against him but Diego kept slipping away.
"I don't have time for this."
Five shakes his head before heading inside.
Diego stand in front of Ben's statue, taunting Luther and as Luther throws a punch, Diego moves out of the way causing him to punch Ben's statue, breaking it.
The rest of the remaining siblings stare at the statue upset about what they did. Allison rolls her eyes at the two before following Five's lead and heading inside. Diego pulls out a knife throwing it towards Luther and slicing his arm much to the dismay of Vanya.
Luther walks inside the house taking this as a personal loss. Vanya walks up to Diego disappointed.
"You never know when to stop, do you?"
"You got enough material for your sequel yet?"
The two stare down each other before Vanya walks away.
"He was my father too."
Diego walks over to Grace before leading her inside with the others. Klaus watches everything with a cigarette in his mouth, stressed about the whole situation. After everyone leaves he walks up the pile of ashes on the ground.
"I bet you're loving this. Hmm? The team at its best. It's just like old times."
He takes another drag before placing his cigarette on the ashes.
"Best funeral ever."
🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧
You looked up when you heard footsteps coming in your direction again. The door opened to reveal to people both in the Temps uniform without their masks. One was a woman she was a few years younger than you, she had light blue eyes and blonde hair dyed orange at the bottom to match the suit she wore, she did not look happy to be there, on the other hand the man beside her had the opposite reaction especially when seeing your face. He was the spitting image of the girl except his hair was dyed brown.
"Arin, Johnny, long time no see."
You smile at the two getting a big one in return from Johnny.
"Hey Y/n, Looks like you've gotten yourself into trouble since lunch yesterday."
You shrug as he laughed though Arin didn't find it very funny.
"How's it hanging?"
"Not great. Can you believe how boring it is?"
"Ugh, I bet. I once was on stakeout by myself, worst five hours of my life..."
You nod along knowing the feeling.
"Speaking of Five, how's he doing?"
You shrug again.
"Who knows."
"It must suck to be away from him."
You sigh, leaning your head back against the wall.
"You have no idea."
"Hey, Hey, Hey!!"
Arin claps her hands together getting both of your attention.
"Stop this."
"Stop what?"
"This."
Johnny rolls his eyes at his sister before gesturing to you.
"She's our friend. I'm just having a conversation."
"She's a prisoner. We don't Kiki with prisoners."
Your smile instantly drops.
"Really, Arin."
"Shut up. You and Five did this to yourselves. I mean really trying to leave the commission are you serious?"
You scoff sending the girl a glare.
"Arin."
"You're lucky that this is the punishment they gave you. Honestly could you and Five had been any stupider."
Johnny tries to calm her down but she just turns and jabs a finger into his chest.
"Johnny, our jobs are on the line here. We don't have time to play 'friendly', You get me?"
She leaves the room for a bit, Johnny whispers a small apology before she comes back throwing a plate to the bottom of your feet causing some of the food on it to fly off the plate. She sends a fake smile before pulling her brother out of the room with a slam of the door.
You ball hands into fist.
⌛⌛⌛⌛⌛⌛⌛⌛⌛⌛⌛⌛⌛⌛
Five sat on the stairs, leaning his head against his hand. He had been trying to get you to come but you hadn't shown up since earlier. He watched as each one of his siblings passed, each one more upset than the last. It was a pretty shitty funeral.
He sat there to himself for a few more minutes until Vanya came down throwing on her jacket and heading to the door.
"Where are you going?"
Vanya stopped with her hand grazing the door knob, she was still getting used to finally being around again. She hesitates before turning to face him with a shrug.
"I'm headed to a meeting. I'm already late so I'm hoping to catch up with them before it's too late."
Five just nods his head and the two just stare at each other in silence. Vanya figured he wouldn't say anything else turns towards the door again but Pogo came and stopped her again.
"Don't waste your time. Diego's right, I shouldn't have come."
"This is your home and always will be."
Pogo walks up to Vanya.
"Should I get you a taxi?"
"I already called one. But thanks."
Five smiles at the interaction between the two. Pogo has always been more of a father figure to them than Reginald was, Hargreeves was more of a teacher.
"I hope you know that your father loved you very much. In his own way."
"Yeah well that's kind of the problem. isn't it?"
Five chuckles in agreement, raising a hand slightly as a goodbye. Five watches Pogo walk up to the door to check on Vanya before he gets up and walks to the kitchen in search of caffeine. Unfortunately for him there was none. Klaus somehow found his way into the kitchen getting not much attention from Five. Allison later joins them.
"Where's Vanya?"
"She's gone."
Klaus holds on to a guitar, kicking his feet up.
"That's unfortunate. An entire square block. Forty-two bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, but no, not a single drop of coffee."
Five was annoyed to say the least, he hadn't heard from you since you talked earlier and now the sky was darkening. He was worried something might've happened to you and he had no way of knowing, no way to get to you. Now there wasn't any coffee to help him calm his nerves.
He couldn't talk to his siblings about it, no way would they understand. They don't even have their lives together. Not to mention the world was about to end.
"I'm taking the car."
Five moved to walk out of the kitchen. He wanted, no he needed coffee. Something to make him feel like he had some semblance of his life together.
"Where are you going?"
Five looked at Klaus like he just asked him the dumbest question in man kind.
"To get a decent cup of coffee."
Allison looked at him skeptically.
"Do you even know how to drive?"
She thought her question was valid, if the world was going to end, according to Five, there would technically be no need for them.
Five however just glared at the girl.
"I know how to do everything."
Five teleports away from them and into the car. He realizes he doesn't have the key and hops into the house for a second before jumping back, starting the car and pulling off.
He pulled into a stop in front of a place called Griddy's, somewhere he, Ben, Klaus, Allison and Vanya would sneak off to when everyone else was asleep.
He walked into the building not seeing anyone there so he approached the counter before pressing the bell. Another man walks in sitting next to him. The waitress comes from the back apologizing to the two men before taking their orders.
Five talked to the man for a bit, they talked about early memories before the waitress came back with their orders. The man offered to pay for Five much to his relief because he forgot to grab any money on his search for his caffeine. The man had given Five an address that he asked after awhile before leaving the building.
Five was now left alone again as the Waitress went back to where she came from. He was now deep in thought, worried about your safety. He knew how the Handler could be and for some reason she didn't particularly like you. Most would say that she was jealous of you; you were likeable and kind hearted, She however was not. But Five knew better, the Handler had some type of infatuation for Five and that didn't go unnoticed by him and because of that his relationship with you, platonic or not; angered her greatly.
After a while a group of agents walked into the building. Five recognized the orange, yellow and black costumes from anywhere. They found him.
"That was fast. I thought I'd have more time before they found me."
All of them instantly pulled their guns to his head but he didn't show any fear.
"On your feet, come with us. They wanna talk."
"I've got nothing to say."
"You think I wanna shoot someone today? Go home with that on my conscience?"
Five smirks while picking up the knife beside his cup. This was a new agent, Five had seen him around the commission. He was good at his job, Five was better.
"I wouldn't worry about that. You won't be going home."
Five quickly teleports behind the man, stabbing him in his neck causing him to shoot his gun in shock before falling to the ground dead.
The other agents try to look for him as the lights start to blink from getting hit with the bullet. Five watches them look around in confusion from under the table before he teleports onto another one laying down.
"Hey, assholes!"
All of them quickly turned to the voice pulling their triggers but it was too late, he had already gone. All they succeeded in doing was shooting the lights out in the signs that were around the building.
Five smirks at them from outside of the building. You would have chastised him about making this longer than it had to be, you didn't like killing people. Sure you could have had any other job in the commission but the thought of Five being out there risking his life scared you, so you stuck it out. Though you'd rather do a fast and easy kill than drag it out. Five on the other hand could care less about torturing these agents, they took you away from him. They had to pay.
🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧
You tap your fingers against the medal around your hands. Your eyes shift to the door in anticipation. You start to hum the tune of come little children as soon as the door opens. Arin locks eyes with you as you continue your song, her eyes start to turn silver, you smirk as she walked closer to you while pulling out her keys.
You smile as you land on your feet, softly rubbing the bruise that formed around your wrist. You were happy that Herb and Johnny weren't the ones down here at the moment otherwise you'd feel bad.
"Thanks Arin, You're a doll."
She smiles as you softly pat her shoulders and You send her a guilty smile.
"I'm so sorry about this, buddy."
You punch the girl super hard, knocking her out as soon as her head hits the ground.
"No hard feelings..."
You smiled down at the body before slipping out of the door and heading towards the direction of the suitcases.
Though as soon as you turn the corner you bump into Johnny causing him to fall on his ass. He looks up at you in shock before sending you a big smile.
"No way, Arin changed her mind and let you out?"
You grimaced at him.
"Not exactly..."
His eyebrow raised in question. You were weary about how he'd react, the twins were super protective of each other, hurting one was like hurting the other and neither would let it go.
"What do you mean?"
You couldn't really hide the fact that you knocked his sister out because he would find her body if he walked into the room.
"I knocked her out."
"What?!"
You started stumbling trying to think of something to say so that he wouldn't be upset but there was nothing you could say.
"I'm sorry but I can't stay here any longer."
Johnny stands up from the ground dusting himself off while sending you a glare.
"I have to get to Five and help him save the world and unfortunately Arin was in the way of that. I will fight anyone I have to, If it means I can help him."
Johnny's face softened and he shakes his head with a small chuckle.
"You really care about that man, don't you?"
You nod at him.
"Fine. I'll help get you out of here."
"Really?!"
He smiles at you and you quickly pull him into a hug.
"Thank you!!"
The two of you break away from each other and make your way down the hall looking for the suitcase room in the dark corridor. Once you make your way there you find two different guards outside the room with three inside.
"Ugh. I thought they'd be patrolling around right now."
"Don't tell me you're not up for a challenge, Johnny."
Johnny sighs.
"Not tonight."
You smile at him.
"I got a plan."
-
Johnny walks up to the two agents that were guarding the door with a smile on his face.
"Hey, Guys."
"Hey."
"Hi, Johnny."
Johnny's smile falters.
"The Handler is asking for everyone to meet up in the training room."
The two looked at each other in confusion before turning to Johnny.
"Apparently Y/n has escaped so The Handler needs all hands on deck."
"What about the suitcases?"
Johnny looks at them sternly.
"She says this is more important."
"Right. Lets go."
"Yeah."
"Go on ahead you two, I'll let the others know."
The two nod before heading in a different direction once Johnny is sure they are completely gone, he sends you a thumbs up before walking in the room.
The other three agents turn towards him with their guns pointed but instantly point them down when they see it's just him.
"Oh, John. Sorry, We thought you might be someone else."
"Like who?"
One of the agents shrug.
"I don't know, Y/n is a sneaky little minx. We thought maybe she escaped or something."
Johnny starts to chuckle nervously.
"No way. I was in the room they're keeping her in earlier, she's bound tight. No way she's getting out of there."
"Right, obviously they wouldn't let that sneaky little siren just roam in a cell somewhere."
One of the other guards butt in.
"You guys hear something?"
Johnny and the agent look at him.
"No."
"No."
"Weird, I hear someone humming."
Johnny knew what he was talking about, You were using your song on the agent. Johnny was currently wearing his headphones, something he received after The Temps found out you had the power to control people with your voice, of course not every agent received a pair, only the ones that worked with you which is why he and the other two agents couldn't hear you at the moment.
The other agent however had his eyes change into a silver color which quickly alarmed the other two however it was two late as he quickly shot one of his teammates in the leg. The agent on the ground screamed in pain of the shot before firing one of their own.
Johnny quickly backed out of the room before you slipped in and knocked the agent whom he was talking to into the wall, knocking him out as the agent you sirened shot the other in the head.
You let out a shaky breath, watching the blood drip from the agent's head causing you to close your eyes before turning to the sirened agent.
"Alright get out of here."
The agent nodded before leaving the room and heading in the direction of the two.
You quickly grab a suitcase before turning to Johnny; who had come back into the room. You pull him into a tight hug and your eyes filled with worry.
"Be careful out there. The world is a dangerous place as you know."
"I'll miss you."
"And I will miss you."
Tears started to fill your eyes and you were starting to regret letting Johnny help you.
"It'll be okay."
You pull away from him, looking deep into his eyes as he sends you a smile.
"It'll be okay. Now go."
You nod before holding onto the suitcase and disappearing in a flash of a light.
-
"You've got to be kidding me."
Arin frowns looking down at the floor finding herself unable to make eye contact with the handler.
"You had one job. Not to let her escape and what did you do?"
"We let her escape."
"You let her escape."
Arin backs away as the Handler advances towards.
"Actually. It was my fault."
Arin's eyebrows pinched in confusion as she turned to find her brother at the door.
"I let her out."
Arin shakes her head at him, her eyes were telling him to shut up though he didn't listen.
"I don't know why I did it, It was just hard watching my friend being held captive."
"Johnny, stop."
"Arin, had nothing to do with it."
The handler walked up to him with a glare on her face.
"How do you explain the fact that we found her knocked out on the ground."
Johnny makes eye contact with his sister. He had hoped this would get his sister out of trouble.
"I knocked her out, she was adamant about keeping Y/n locked up so, I helped her escape."
"You weren't in the camera footage."
"I snuck in and deleted it in hopes that I wouldn't get caught."
The Handler looks him up and down. Her eyes showed suspension.
"And yet you're giving yourself up now. Why is that?"
Johnny looks down at the ground as the handler continues to stare intensely at him.
"I can't let my sister take the fall for what I did."
The handler turns her attention towards Arin motioning to Johnny.
"Is this true?"
Johnny nods at his sister wanting her to let him take the fall. Arin looks down again, her jaw tightening.
"Yes."
"Arin, leave the room."
Arin hesitates but heads towards the door when her brother smiles at her, she grabs his hand on the way out and he gives it a squeeze before she walks out the door, closing it behind her.
Tears started to stream down her face at the sound of a gun shot ringing through the halls.

I’m sorry but the “Luther wants to throw you a party so you feel loved” “do you feel loved?” And then the most genuinest, most wholesomest, most gorgeous smile and the little shy “yes” from Viktor has me sobbing it’s so damn cute

HC: Dating Five Hargreeves
Requested by @madelynmulford
Warning: I think Five is a bit out of character, fluff, small mentions of torture & death and spoilers for season 3
I'm sorry if this isn't what you had in mind and sorry if it's too long or if it doesn't make any sense, I was a bit tired while writing it and I really wanted to write it since it has been some time since you requested it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!💖
Tumblr media
First things first, you two met because of Reginald.
To be more specific - you are one of the 43 children.
Your power; Telepathy
You are number 8
Your hero name is Psylocke (Yes, like the X-Men character)
Tumblr media
PRE-SEASON 1
Before you two started dating, when you were 13 years old and your powers still weren't at the height of their success, you created a special necklace for you and Five.
This necklace of course had some special abilities - to be able to communicate even when one is far away from the other.
He promised that he'd never take it off.
And he did.
When he was gone in the future , he always wore it.
Of course you didn't know.
You were incredibly sad when he disappeared you didn't talk to the others at all.
Okay - correction - you didn't talk to Luther, Allison, Reginald, Diego and Grace. You only talked to Pogo, Klaus, Ben and Vanya (Viktor).
Though, when Ben died on a mission, you only distanced yourself more and talked only to Klaus.
Tumblr media
SEASON 1: Protective
The years went by and you became a famous ballet dancer.
Your life wasn't perfect but it was good. You were still recovering from the fact that Five was gone.
. . . Until. . .
Reginald's funeral.
You reunited with the others and all seemed happy to see you - since you distanced yourself from most of them except for Klaus.
Everything went downhill when you all had to say a few last words to your adoptive "father".
Then - moments after the fight with Luther and Diego - Five appeared from a vortex portal and he was 13 years old.
But he wasn't the only one.
When he appeared, you also turned 13.
MOVING ON.
Scared of losing him again, you followed him and helped him.
He was about to confess until Klaus and you were kidnapped by Hazel and Cha-Cha.
Let me tell you this;
Five, the expert cold-blooded hitman, was worried!
Meanwhile you used your powers on the pair to make them realise you and your brother - who had been tortured more.
Short story long, you guys returned and Five literally jumped on you!
Like, heck, he would check if you had any injuries and he wouldn't leave you from his sight. To make sure you were okay.
He then told you that he had something to tell you.
After you check on Klaus, you returned to Five.
"So," y/n started, looking a bit anxious as she sat beside Five "What did you want to talk about?"
"I was going to tell you the day you and Klaus disappeared." he said
Y/n scoffed, "You mean kidnapped by these friends of yours."
"What did they tell you?"
She paused for a moment, "When would you tell me that you became a killer?" his heart dropped. "Five, why didn't you say anything?" he looked away in shame, ready to leave but y/n blocked his passage. "No, Five. You're not leaving me again. Not this time. I want you to answer this simple question. Why?"
"Y/n, I didn't—"
"Tell me why!"
"Because I was scared, alright?!" he shouted "I was scared that you'd be afraid of me! That you'd hate me! Happy?"
Y/n looked at him in shock and regret, "Five, I would never hate you. I am just sad that you never said a word." a thought crossed her mind as she processed "Why do you care if I hate you or not, though? The Five I know doesn't give a damn what others think of him."
"It has come to my attention that I. . ." he started, trying to find the right words "That I have developed feelings for you. I always had, actually."
"You. . . You love me?" y/n asked
"I believe that's what I said."
So, yeah, after that you hugged him tightly and as cliché as it sounds, you kissed.
Teasing "ohhhh~"s were heard from the doorway.
It was Klaus and he was smirking.
"Five and y/n are dating", "🎶Five and y/n sitting on a tree~!🎶" or "Make way for mr. and mrs. Hargreeves." are part of the teasing.
Overall, Five is a very protective boyfriend during the first season.
He would protect you from any danger and wouldn't let you run off alone without him.
Especially after the whole Hazel, Cha-Cha and Vanya (Viktor) situations.
Tumblr media
SEASON 2: Obsessive/Jealous
So, after the 1st apocalypse, you all time travelled in the past at Dallas.
Many crazy things happened.
Lila also tried to kill you a few times because you were Five's girlfriend.
And although you spent more time with your boyfriend, you also got to bond with your other siblings and made up for the lost time.
Five would get a bit jealous but wouldn't admit nor show it.
Okay, wrong, he would have a more threatening look on his face as he would come by your side and sent angry glares at the others.
"Woah! Easy there, Five." Diego said as he raised his hands up in surrender with a laugh "I am not hitting on y/n. She is my sister and, besides, she is too young for me."
"That little shit," said Lila with a grin, referring to Five, "is so funny when he gets jealous."
Even though you weren't sure whether to laugh and agree with Lila or punch her for mocking your boyfriend, you were grateful that Diego reassured him in an odd way.
Oh boy, speaking of jealousy and obsessive behaviour.
When you, him and Luther meet his past-older self. . . Things get ugly.
VERY ugly.
And it's not only your Five who acted all jealous and obsessed, but also his 50-year-old self too.
Awkward. . .
You got very annoyed with BOTH of them and Luther tried to calm you down.
"The midget isn't bothering you, is he?" Older Five asked
Y/n tried to remain positive and replied with a small laugh and shake of her head, "No. Goodness no. You do realise, though, that he is you and you are him, right?"
Before he could reply, younger Five walked up to them and placed his arm around y/n.
"Hello, sweetheart. I am not interrupting anything, am I?"
"Actually, you do." Older Five said
"Too bad."
Y/n just ripped younger Five's arm off and walked faster towards their destination.
Luther tried to put some sense into the two men but they simply ignored him.
When the two Fives started fighting, you took matters into your own hands and with your powers you caused them a momentary migraine in order to stop them from teleporting and attacking each other.
You grabbed them by the ears and then slapped them.
They just stared at you in awe and impressed.
After his older self left, he felt a bit better but still would act a bit obsessive just not as much as before.
Tumblr media
SEASON 3: Caring
We all know what happened at the end of the previous season.
Anyway
When you SAW Ben, you felt like tearing up. Especially at the fact that he didn't know you and that he was a total jerk.
Five rubbed your back gently in a comforting way.
As you all fought the Sparrow Academy, Five tried to also keep you safe.
- Although he knew that you were capable of fighting -
When you came face-to-face with Jayme, she spat her venom at you.
But before her venom could touch you, Five jumped in front of you and he started hallucinating while you and Jayme watched.
Five could hear emotional music and when he looked at the staircase, he saw y/n walking up to him in her actual body and age, wearing a wedding gown.
"Hello, Five, my love." the fake y/n said to him with a sweet smile "Promise that we will always be together?"
"I promise you, y/n, my love." he said "Come to me." he started walking to her and they started making out.
The real y/n and Jayme were watching this, and of course they couldn't see it.
"Ugh." Jayme groaned in disgust and then turned to y/n "Are they all perverts?"
(Y/n.exe has stopped working)
When you used your powers to see what he saw, your blush worsened and then you used them to stop the whole hallucination.
He stopped and looked at you.
You had a 'We will have words later' look.
After the fight, you all went to hotel Obsidian.
Five announced that he was retired and guess what.
He spent most of his time with you!
Yay!💖🥳
On top of that; he was so caring and a true gentleman.
For example, were your feet aching? Five would either carry you to your room in a bridal style or use his powers to teleport you there.
(Though the second opt was more like him, he would go with the first option mostly just to show off a little and prove how caring he can be for you)
Closed door? He would open and hold it for you to pass.
He'd shower you with TONS of compliments.
Also, he would buy you whatever you want from the hotel since he doesn't actually have any money for shopping at malls or anywhere else other than the hotel.
But you didn't care.
You found his actions cute.
Small Bonus: You'd start getting along with Lila and he would be concerned since she tried to kill you both.
Lots of teasing towards Five from both of you.
"Okay, can we focus?" Five asked, y/n and Lila laughed
At the wedding of Luther and Sloane, expect him singing a song FOR you.
Wanna take a guess of which song?
Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling In Love
But don't expect Five's voice suddenly getting majestic.
(Though I actually liked his singing voice)
Your siblings will tease you but you would just look at him with a sweet smile.
When Reginald entered, he grew suspicious and sat beside you.
As you entered the hotel Oblivion with the two remaining members from the Sparrow Academy, Five held your hand gently.
As you guys fought the guardians, you'd also make sure that both of you were okay.
At Reginald's betrayal, you guys tried to reach other.
After Allison killed him, you went into each other's arms.
Five was missing an arm and instead he was worried about you.
Even after the battle was over when Allison pressed the button, and you all returned back to normal (without your powers) but in a different reality, you would still check if you were alright.

Hargreaves heard a voice that surely should belong to the woman he was looking for. Enraged, yelling at the orphanage director to stop being a coward and let her meet with a girl named Alice.
Moving on, he saw a dark red dress trimmed with black lace. Her red hair down past her shoulder blades and her curvy build made him think he was headed for the right person.
"Excuse me, Miss Seymour?"
"Yes, what…" The woman turned around, stopping mid-sentence, and looked him over, recognizing at once that he was a police officer. "Oh, great, and you're going to arrest me."
"I'm sorry… What?"
"Nevermind," she reached into her small purse, "everyone has their price." She pulled out about a hundred and fifty pounds for him. "Is that enough?"
He dropped her hand, and Miss Seymour looked at him in confusion.
"I didn't come to arrest you."
She raised her eyebrows and shifted from foot to foot.
"It changes things." She put the money away and placed her hands on her hips, tilting them to the left. "So what do you want?"
Hargreaves looked up to see Angus Bumby peering at them from behind the curtain.
He pointed to the exit, and Seymour looked out the window once more as she left, giving Bumby the middle finger.
"So going back…" she began, strolling through the east end and the fun district. "You didn't answer me."
"Bumby, Radcliffe and Splatter seem to have been throwing you around long enough. I came with a business proposal."
"Excellent. So let's go to a more secluded place, we have got a lot to talk about, Mr…"
Hargreaves stood in front of her and held out his hand.
"Reginald Hargreaves. At your service."
She grabbed his hand and shook it, smiling slightly at him.

watching the world burn
doorstep
five hargreeves x reader | prolouge | masterlist
the damp morning breeze would’ve been more comforting if not for the cold air sending chills down the child’s back. his thin, knitted auburn over shirt didn’t do much against the slight wind. the child felt his grip on the umbrella over his head slip, so he grabbed it quickly with his other hand. the ran faltered against the umbrella, loud platters above his head. his brows furrowed, what does a child have to do to get some warmth around here? well, he considered this the better option instead of going back to that orphanage. his foster mother had recently passed, and his foster father brought him here. “now Nathan. can you run this note over to this man? i’ll come pick you up soon, go along now,” was how the man got rid of the child. the child just walked through the rain, should he be angry? well, he supposed that being out here wasn’t that bad. the child looked down, their previously dry shoes now soaked with water. he had been so lost in thought that his shoes were now soaked with water. he grumbled a useless damn as he cringed with every step, a squishing sounded as he continued walking. the shorts he wore also were not much help, though he loved these grey shorts they were oversized on him, and also did not block the wind, still threatening to knock him over. he looked to the side, a gate with a very specific design caused him to reread the note he held, its edges wet. the same design was found on there, he hummed and knocked on the gate, it whined as it opened. the child pushed on it, making his way to the door. he very carefully knocked, though still ended up feeling sore knuckled after that. doors where unpleasant, why knock? that just hurt your knuckles? the child shook his head and waited, holding the paper. he looked back up when a staff clacked against the ground. he met the glaze of a harsh man. “get off my property.” he scowled. the child didn’t move. “..this is for you,” the child said, lifting the note for the elder to take ahold of, the child gave a little surprised peep when the paper was roughly taken from his grasp. “now leave.” the man ordered. the child nodded, as the man’s eyes glazed over the note. the child swivelled, turning and making his way through the gate, but was interrupted by the man clearing his throat behind him. the child stopped and turned, a pause of both. “..come inside, there is something I must see.” the man ordered the child, who gave a confused look, but entered the building. the soggy boots still making squelching noises as the two walked. the severe man turned and motioned at the boots. “can you dry them off?” he scowled. the child was silent. “maybe..?” the child responded. he fell over trying to pull his boots off. his brows furrowed as he put them on the ground. a little fire suddenly erupted from his palm, the heat building towards the boots, and trying his hardest not to set it aflame. “stop.” the child looked up to the man, the flame in their palm not going out. “welcome to the umbrella academy, number eight.”

Carousel Club | Five Hargreeves / Reader
Tumblr media
Word Count : 3k Summary : After being dropped into 1963, you find work at the Carousel Club as a dancer. While following a tip where Luther could be, Five sees your routine. Overwhelmed by jealousy he sneaks into your dressing room. (I do not own the umbrella academy or any of it's characters.) Warnings/Tags : Smut, cursing, piv, men being sexist (its the 1960s what do you expect?) dom!Five, Aged up!Five. A little bit of angst. Not requested.
You always trusted your husband. He was your constant in a very fucked up world. You knew he would never purposely harm you, or put you in harm's way. Sometimes that meant following him through time and space, other times it meant trusting him to not burn your dinner. So when he said he had a way out of the mess you and your in-laws had caused, of course you trusted him wholeheartedly.
You grasped Five’s hand tightly in your own, feeling a sense of deja-vu from the last time you two tried to spacial jump. Diego gingerly held your other hand, you looked up at him giving him a curt nod. He returned the nod before looking around at the rest of his siblings. You raised your eyes to the gaping hole in the ceiling, the intricate details of the theater framing the crumbling moon. Five squeezed your hand, drawing your attention back to him. You gave him a reassuring smile, well as reassuring as you could.
Electricity crackled around the seven of you, wind whipping your hair in front of your face. Five’s grip on your hand was almost crushing, like you were his lifeline. A giant blue orb of energy appeared above your family, growing and glowing. Five strained under the pressure, his face contorting into a pained expression. The blue light enveloped you all, flickering and pulsing.
“Hold on! It’s gonna get messy!” Five yelled as the ground shook beneath you, shutting your eyes tightly you felt yourself being pulled away from Five and Diego. You only had a moment of panic before you were thrown to the ground.
You groaned sitting up, the blue light of energy blinding you. You raised your hand shielding your eyes.
“Five!” You yelled as you got to your feet. As fleeting as the orb had appeared it disappeared, as though someone had turned an old tv off. Was that a flash, or just your imagination? You shook your head, taking in your surroundings. No Five, no siblings, no briefcase. Where the hell were you?
You wandered down the alleyway to the main street. Your hip twinged in pain after taking the brunt of your fall. You looked around the street, the lampposts and storefront neon signs were your only light source. You sank down on a bench, letting out a deep sigh. Your eyes wandered to a newsrack, you quickly got to your feet. You ran to it, holding the sides of the glass case.
August 1st, 1963. Dallas, Texas.
Your heart leapt into your throat. Damn it, Five. Shit, Alison. God, where were the rest of Five’s siblings?
“Honey, are you alright?” A soft voice asked, you turned your head sharply. You were met by a sweet woman’s face, big blond hair and bangs. She had a cardigan wrapped tightly around herself as she reached out to touch your shoulder. You shook your head, still coming to terms with the last five minutes. “Come on, I’m just about to go get something to eat, why don’t you join me?” She said, smiling sweetly.
“I-” You cleared your throat, “I don’t have any money.” You said, shaking your head. “Well then my treat.” She said helping you to your feet. You followed the woman down the streets of Dallas to a quaint diner. You sat down across from her, taking a look over the menu. People chattered mindlessly around you as you came to terms with your situation.
“I’ve seen that look before.” She said, setting her menu down on the table.
“What look?” You said furrowing your eyebrows.
“That look. Every girl I work with has had that same look.” She huffed thanking the waiter as he set down a coffee cup in front of her. “Small girl in the big city, not knowing where you’re gonna stay or what you’re gonna eat. Believe me, I’ve seen that look before because I’ve felt that before.” She said reaching across the table, taking your hand in hers. “So what’s your story, sweetheart?” You took a breath, choosing your next words carefully.
“My husband and I got separated.” You whispered, “My parents didn’t agree with our marriage and so we ran away. He was supposed to meet me here in Dallas but he didn’t show.” You said, not technically a lie, Five was supposed to be here with you.
“Oh dear,” She tsked, “well you do not have to worry about that anymore. I’m so glad I found you! You can stay with me until you get back on your feet.” You smiled, hopefully Five wouldn’t make you wait much longer.
“Thank you…” You trailed off, realizing you hadn’t caught her name.
“Autumn.” She answered, holding out her hand for you to shake.
“I’m Y/n.” You smiled, taking her hand.
“You know Y/n, I could put in a good word for you with my boss. He may seem a bit rough around the edges, but we’re always short staffed.” She shrugged. Whatever the job was you would only have it for hopefully a week tops before Five caught up with you, along with his siblings.
“I appreciate it Autumn.” You smiled, patting her hand.
-
When you arrived at Autumn's place of work you wondered if you were a little over your head. You followed Autumn into the back entrance of the nightclub. You passed by many half dressed women, putting on their makeup and outfits.
“This way sweetheart!” Autumn called, you picked up your pace following her through the dressing room. Once on the main floor of the club you were greeted by the intense smell of cigars. Autumn had all but disappeared, you wandered through the tables. Trying to work your way to the front of the club, while also trying to avoid the men’s wandering hands at the tables.
“Y/n!” She called from a table, you turned your head. The club was familiar, but you couldn’t put your finger on it. You were face to face with Jack Ruby, the man who would put the hit out on Lee Harvey Oswald. You gulped, straightening your shoulders you walked over to them.
“Mr. Ruby, this is Y/n she’s looking for a job.” Autumn said, clasping her hands together. Jack looked you over, a cigar dangling from his lips.
“Y/n who?” He said leaning back in his chair. You stuttered but only for a second.
“Y/n L/n,” You said with a smile, Hargreeves might get Five or your in-laws in trouble if anyone here caught wind of that name. He puffed his cigar, leaning over to whisper something to the man next to him. He chuckled before nodding, you bit your cheek. Feeling like a piece of meat in front of these men.
“Can you start tonight?” He said, lacing his fingers together.
“Of course.” You replied, Autumn cheered quietly beside Mr. Ruby.
“Autumn, be a dear and show her the dressing rooms. Tell ‘em I want Miss Y/n to be on stage by tomorrow night.” He said motioning with his cigar in hand. On stage? You turned sharply looking toward the stage of the nightclub, scantily clad women fanning themselves with large feather fans.
“Yes sir Mr. Ruby!” Autumn giggled, taking your arm and walking you towards the back.
-
You sat in front of your vanity, lined by bright golden bulbs. Brushing glitter onto your eyes before adding your long eyelashes. It had been three months since you had taken on your new job, along the way you had made many friends. You felt for all the girls alongside you, it was a rough profession but it paid well. You pulled your robe close around your body, walking over to the clothing rack. You rifled through the sheer jeweled fabric before your eyes landed on the black and white body suit. You threw your outfit over your arm heading back to your vanity. You were greeted by a beautiful bouquet of red roses, Autumn standing next to them with a coy smile.
“Autumn! Who are these from?”
“A secret admirer,” she cooed her bright red lips pulling back into a smile, “Just teasing! It’s from all of us girls here,” She said as she rushed forward, wrapping her arms around your shoulders. Her cheap perfume floods your senses along with her sweet sweat.
“Y’all didn’t have to do that!” You smiled as she pulled away, she only waved you off.
“You’re one of the best here! Don’t know where you learned all your little tricks.” She said bumping your elbow with her own. She looked down at your costume in your arms. “Need help?” Autumn asked, holding out her hand.
“Yes please.” You said handing her your suit as you lowered your robe. You held onto her shoulders stepping into the suit, you adjusted your straps as Autumn tightened your corset. You admired yourself in the mirror, since taking on your new job you had become more toned. More than when you had worked at the commission, and these clothes were definitely more flattering than your blue suits you used to wear. You took in a sharp breath as Autumn pulled through the last loops, tying the ribbon with a neat bow.
“Alright sister, you’re ready.” She said squeezing your shoulders.
“Thanks Autumn, now go take your break!” You said waving her off.
“Y/n! You’re on next!” Shannon called from the stage door. You nodded, quickly stopping to smell the sweet scent of your roses before grabbing your tulle skirt. You tied it around your waist as you walked backstage. You picked up your red feather fans, taking a deep breath. You walked up to the closed red curtains listening to the deafening cheers and whistles. You heard the clink of the ropes being pulled back before you were blinded by the spotlights. You closed your eyes, bowing your head, your body covered by the bright red fans.
You started your routine, swaying your hips seductively as you pulled the fans back away from your body teasing the audience. You lost yourself in the music, thankfully it was difficult to decipher anyone’s face over the shadows cast by the spotlights. You unclipped the tulle skirt, throwing it off stage. You could make out a certain group of sailors, and a rather large man standing by the bar.
You teased the audience, covering your body with the fans before flashing them a glimpse of your shimmering body suit. You pulled the fans over your head, rotating your hips in a circular motion as you lowered into a squat. You bounced on your heels before jumping back up to your feet. You smirked as the men whistled and cheered.
The music slowed, and faded out as you walked behind the red curtain. You dropped off your fans before heading back to your dressing room. You opened the door, shutting it behind you.
“Who sent the roses?” Five’s voice sent a shiver down your spine. You turned your head sharply, meeting Five’s predatory gaze.
“Five!” You gasped, your heart soaring in your chest. “When did you get here?”
“I could ask you the same thing.” He said, crossing his arms. Your smile fell off your face, what was his problem? It’s not your fault that he dropped you off in the middle of 1963 with no resources.
“Three months ago.” You said furrowing your brows, “I’ve been looking for you this whole time!” He scoffed, clicking his tongue.
“Oh really? It looks like you’ve been getting enough attention without me.” He huffed, glaring at the bouquet of roses.
“Excuse me for finding a way to survive here.” You spit pushing past him, knocking his shoulder against yours. You took a seat in front of your vanity, pulling out your makeup kit. He stalked up behind you, towering over you. He gripped your chin, forcing you to look at him through the mirror, effectively smearing your bright red lipstick.
“You’re mine.” He sneered, his lips pulling back over his teeth. You flushed, heat pooling in your core. You stared up at him through the mirror, his fingers squeezing your lips together. “Got it?” He asked. You glared at him, a devilish thought entering your mind.
You kept quiet, smirking as you watched a shadow pass over his features. He clenched his jaw, shaking his head as he tilted your head to look him in the eye.
“You must need a lesson.” He smirked, pulling you to your feet, you stumbled slightly in your heels. He kicked the chair away, you jumped as it thudded against the carpeted floor. His arm moved behind you, sweeping everything off of your vanity along with the roses. They crashed to the floor, the vase shattering. He pushed you against the vanity, caging you in with his arms as he slammed his hands against the mirror. He stared down at you with a wolfish grin, you felt yourself flush. Your heart started to beat faster as you squirmed under him.
“Yes sir.” You said tilting your chin up, staring at him through your lashes. He growled spinning you around, your hands splayed out in front of you on the top of the vanity. His hand connected to your ass cheek, letting out a low chuckle as you gasped. He moved your hair off of your back, his cold fingers attacking the strings of your corset.
“Stupid- fucking- ribbon-“ he said through gritted teeth, you caught the slightly crazed look in his eye through the reflection. Your body felt on fire, three months without him made every touch that more exhilarating. As soon as the corset was loose enough he was ripping it off of your body, along with your panties. You were entirely bare in front of your fully dressed husband. He stepped back, loosening his tie as he watched you squirm in the mirror.
“Not so confident now, dearest.” He smirked, unbuttoning the top button of his dress shirt. You breathed hard, adrenaline rushing through your veins. Your nipples hardened against the cold air in the dressing room. You heard the familiar metal on metal as he took off his belt before unzipping his pants. He walked up behind you, nosing his dick against your folds. You clenched around nothing, pushing back against him. His hand came up to the back of your skull, wrapping his fist through your hair. He stared at you through his darkened gaze, you were breathless, your lips parting slightly.
“Please,” you whined, batting your eyelashes. He forcibly thrusted all the way in, knocking the breath out of your lungs. You let out a pornagraphic moan before you covered your mouth with your hand. He grabbed your hand, pulling it away from your mouth and holding it behind your back.
“Why don’t you let everyone here know who you belong to?” He huffed in your ear, thrusting erratically into you. You gripped the desk, the only thing holding you up as Five plowed into you. “Let them know that I’m the only one who gets to fuck you like this.” You clenched around him as his words seemed to straight directly to your core. He let out a groan, loosening his grip on your hair. “Fuck you like this don’t you?” You nodded enthusiastically, your eyes rolling back into your head as his cock prodded against your g-spot.
“Yes, yes Five!” You babbled tears pricking your eyes, as he bent you over the desk. His hands flew to your hips, pulling them against his own thrusts. You could only lay there as your orgasm came crashing down. You were thankful you were on top of the vanity because there was no way your trembling legs would have been able to hold you up.
Five’s eyebrows knit together as he arched his neck back, his hips stuttering as his orgasm quickly followed yours. Cumming with a loud shout he collapsed on top of you, your sweat causing his thin shirt to stick to your skin. He pulsed inside of you as he gingerly tucked a piece of hair behind your ear. He pulled away, peeling himself off of you. He kissed your shoulder as his softened cock slipped out of you. Your breathing was slowly coming back to normal as he tried to return your room to the state it was before he had destroyed it and you. He picked up your robe draping it over your shoulders. You sat up, feeling his cum start to drip down your thighs.
“What took you so long?” You asked, tying your robe close around your naked body.
“I just got here.” He sighed, tucking himself back into his pants. “I’m sorry I made you wait.” He turned to you, brushing his thumb over your cheek.
“I’ll always wait for you.” You sighed, wrapping your arms around his waist. He held you against his chest, resting his cheek against yours.
“At least someone will, Luther and Diego weren’t too happy about me dumping them in the past.” Five sighed. Diego and Luther were here, too?
“Where are they?” You asked, turning to Five with wide eyes. Five looked at you inquisitively, a small smile pulling on the corner of his mouth.
“Luther works for Jack Ruby, y/n. I found him in this club before I knew you worked here.” Your stomach dropped. Luther worked for Jack Ruby? That means he must have seen your numbers.
“Oh god.” You said mortified, hanging your head against Five’s chest. He chuckled, shaking his head as he lightly rubbed your back.
“Believe me, he was just as mortified as you are.” He said, “Although I must say I thoroughly enjoyed your routine.” He lowered his voice, his hands trailing down your body to rest on your butt.
“I think I could give you a private showing.” You smirked, wrapping your hand around his tie. You pulled him forward by his tie, smashing your lips against his. His hands gripped your hips, the velvety fabric smooth against his palms.
“God I’d love that,” He let out a sigh, “but maybe we should wait until after we save the world.”
Again? It was happening again?
“Vanya?” You asked, pulling away.
“Your guess is as good as mine.” He shrugged, “All I know is on November 25th the world ends, again.”
“Guess it’s time for a family reunion.”

01: The Death of Reginald Hargreeves
Part 1 of ??
Parings: Five Hargreeves x Reader, also a little Ben x reader
Summary: (Y/n) Hargreeves has 7 adoptive siblings, all of which were born on the same day, of the same year, at the same hour. This phenomenon, somehow caused them all to get special powers. (Y/n) loved her siblings with all her heart, but there was one she just couldn’t stand, one that always seemed to get under her skin, and that was Five Hargreeves. The years flew by, with one sibling dead and another missing, the 6 that remained all went their separate ways. That is until the death of their father, Reginald Hargreeves. Now 29 years old, with all their own lives. The 6 remaining Hargreeves were brought back together for their fathers funeral, only for their missing brother to reappear out of no where, in his 16 year old body, saying that the world was going to end in 10 days. But it’s gonna take a lot more convincing for this dysfunctional family to even THINK about saving the world.

I poked my head outside my bedroom door, looking down the dark hallway, my (e/c) eyes not seeing anyone. I noticed some blue flashes coming from three doors down, telling me that Five was still up practicing his spacial jumps again. "How does it look? Is the coast clear?" A boy with dark brown, messy hair, leaned onto my shoulder trying to look out the door with me. I shushed the brown haired boy next to me "Quiet Four."shrugging him off of my shoulder, I slowly and quietly shut the door. Turning around to face my two best friends "Well?" Four asked, as the Korean boy next to him fidgeted around in his spot, not looking to happy about things.
"Five is still awake."
Four let out a groan in annoyance "Seriously? What is that asshat doing still up?" I shook my head, sticking my ear against the door to hear things more clearly. Closing my eyes I could hear the fluttering noise of his spacial jumps activating, some incoherent grumbles following. "He's practicing his spacial jumps. But he doesn't seem to happy with them." Four placed his head above my own on the door, acting as if he had super hearing as well "Hmm, yes he does sound rather distressed." Rolling my eyes I was quick to push him off the door "shove off." A small laugh leaving my lips.
Putting my head back up against the door, it sounded silent, no fluttering noise of spacial jumps, and no aggravated grumbling could be heard. Picking my head back up, I looked over at the two boys behind me, a smile on my face "Okay, now's our chance." Opening the door as quietly as possible I stated "Lets go." Four smiled in excitement, the two of us were about to walk out the door, only for the third member of the party to stop us.
"Guys wait."
Turning back to look at the black haired boy confusion written on both of our faces, only for him to quickly state "I don't think this is such a good idea, I mean... what if we get caught?" I looked over at Four, him looking at me as well, only to shrug his shoulders. Looking back over at the nervous boy I walked over to him, grabbing both of his hands, a smile graced my lips "Six, don't worry. With my powers I can make sure we don't get caught." I held both of his hands gently in my own, my (e/c) eyes staring deeply into his worried brown ones "And if you're that nervous about it, you can always hang back while me and Four go out." A smile graced my lips as Six's eyes sat on my own, feeling my heart beat a bit faster.
Four suddenly swung an arm around my shoulder, grabbing both of our attentions "Yeah Six, if your to chicken I can hold your hand while we find a place to hide and make out." Four puckered his lips while making kissing noises. My cheeks flared red in embarrassment, I quickly let go of Six's hands, shoving Four off of me in annoyance, which only caused him to laugh. A growl escaped my lips as I stalked over to Four, my anger slowly getting the best of me.
The messy dark haired boy in front of me, started to back up, eyes wide in slight fear. "Okay I'll go" Six was quick to speak up, defusing the situation instantly as I turned around to face him, a smile on my face "Really?" Four let out a relieved sigh as I calmed down, my attention now on the Korean boy in front of me, as I strutted over to him, a wide smile on my face. "Come on." I stated while grabbing one of Six's hands in my own, dragging him out my bedroom door. Four whisper yelled "Hey guys! Wait up!" All while following behind us.
We almost made it to the steps, only for a blue light to flash in front of us, followed by the fluttering noise Five's spacial jump makes. "Crap." I mumbled, stopping in my tracks as a tall dark brown haired boy appeared directly in front of me, Four tried to stop himself, only for him to stumble into my back. I stuck my foot in front of me, as to stop myself from falling into Five an annoyed look sitting on his face.
"The hell are you three up to now?"
The dark brown haired boy's arms sat crossed across his chest. Letting go of Six's hand I mirrored Five, crossing my arms over my chest defensively "Wouldn't you like to know?" Five's green eyes rolled in response to my sarcastic question. "If I didn't, I wouldn't have asked." I let out a small huff in aggravation, the boy in front of me already making my blood boil "Shouldn't you be asleep or something?" I went to walk around him, wanting to get as far away from the boy who always seems to get under my skin.
Five stepped to the same side as me, not letting me pass "Seriously Five? Let me through." A smirk graced his lips leaning forward he was quick to ask "Or what?" Six pulled me back, stepping between the two of us before things could escalate. "Come on Five, you do this everyday." Five payed no mind to Six, in fact he wasn't even looking at him, no, he looking past him to stare me down with that damn smug look on his face, as if he new something I didn't. Five of course knows a lot of things I don't, hell, out of all 8 of us, he has always been the smartest.
But when Five looks at me with that know-it-all smirk, it only makes me want to punch him in the face. I can't remember when I first started hating Five, I know at one point we were friends, hell we were close, just like two peas in a pod. Until one day, everything just changed, Five shifted, he stopped hanging out with me, and only really talked to me to get a rise out of me. I was the only person here who was able to deal with his madness, so when he shut me out, it hurt me a lot. And I turned that hurt into hatred.
Five shrugged his shoulders, eyes shifting between Six and I, his green hues narrowed in anger before turning around and spacial jumping away.

"(Y/n)?"
My eyes drifted away from the window, looking at the women who sat in the chair in front of me. "Hmm?" shifting her legs to cross the right over her left leg, pressing the button on the back of her pen. "I asked how are you feeling today?" Shrugging my shoulders, I went back to looking out the window next to me "I don't know. The same as always I guess." I glanced over at the women in front of me, watching as she jotted something down on the notepad on her lap. "Any episodes?" Pulling my sleeves down a little more as if to cover my scars, I was quick to answer "No." she nodded her head while writing something down.
She fixed her glasses "That's 2 months now, you seem to be doing better." I shrugged and looked back out the window next to me "I guess so..." Flipping back through her notes she looked something over "Last session you said that your brother is getting out of rehab sometime soon, do you know when?" I was silent for a couple of minutes, today not being a day where I felt like sharing. Of course I knew when he was getting out, hell, I was going to celebrate with him at a bar tonight.
"Doesn't matter."
Was what left my mouth as a response, she of course kept pushing for answers. "Why doesn't it matter?" I shrugged my shoulders, not really wanting to say anything else about Klaus this session. I always hated talking about my family, everyone in it is fucked up, hell, after Five disappeared and Ben died, no one really talked to each other anymore. The only person I still kept in touch with is Klaus. That's why I never minded telling her about him, except on days like this, when my head just wasn't in the right place. She let out a small sigh before shaking her head "(Y/n). You can't keep doing this okay? You have to talk about things." I scoffed, looking over at her, my brows furrowed in anger.
"What's there to talk about? He's just gonna end up back there anyway."
I closed my eyes and sighed, calming myself down. I was so scared of getting angry, I'm scared of myself and for the people around me, worried that I'd loose control of my powers again. I looked back out at the window next to me, hoping that she'd just drop things. "How about the incident?" I froze at the mention of it "What you saw. Do you want to talk about it at all today?" My heart rate picked up, thinking back to that day I got so mad, to mad, I lost control and couldn't stop myself.
I closed my eyes, feeling my hands turn to fists as I tried to steady my breathing. "No." I growled out, not wanting to think back to what happened. Once I calmed down enough I cleared my throat "No I don't." She let out a small sigh, my eyes staying glued to the window, not daring to move. I stayed silent for the rest of the session, loosing all interest in talking to the lady in front of me.

I've been at the bar for a couple of hours now, by myself might I add. 'I can't fucking believe this.' I thought, knowing that Klaus has already once again overdosed. I didn't care that he once again hooked himself on drugs, what bothers me is the fact that he didn't bother showing up to hangout with me. Taking a sip of my third drink of the night, I huffed out a quiet "Fucking Klaus." Under my breath, knowing I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. But I did anyway, because I was hoping to see my brother.
The TV above the bar grabbed my attention, the words Breaking News flashing across the screen, along with the news fanfare music. Bringing my glass up to my lips, I took a sip "Moments ago police reported the death of the most eccentric and reclusive billionaire..." I watched as a picture of the man who raised me and my siblings appeared on the screen. This took me by surprise causing me to widen my eyes as I started choking on my drink, the noises around me went silent, letting me know that I have grabbed everyone's attention.
I coughed to get air back into my lungs "Miss, are you alright?" The bartender asked, I nodded my head quickly all while coughing, grabbing a twenty from my wallet I was quick to find my breath again as I stood up. "I'm fine." I stated all while quickly making my way out the door.

Looking up at the mansion in front of me, I could practically hear Reginalds voice yelling at me, about how useless I am, deeming that as the reason I was named number eight. I'm more useless than Vanya, and he never seemed to let me forget it. Even now, when he's dead, I can still hear the same words he always used to tell me.
"You are my greatest disappointment."
Letting out a ragged sigh, I clenched and unclenched my hands, as if to calm my nerves. Slowly walking up to the doors, pushing one of them open, I went inside, hearing the footsteps and voices of just about eight other people in the house, all having different conversations with each other, in different parts of the house. My head started to get clouded by other peoples voices and conversations.
Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath in, trying to calm myself down and focus on what I hear around me, rather than all through out the house.

Loud noises invaded my ears, from people talking to honking horns, dogs barking, vehicles moving, flies buzzing. It all mashed together bouncing around in my head, not even letting me to be able to hear my own thoughts. I shot up from my bed, letting a loud scream escape my lips. It was overwhelming hearing everyone and everything, covering my ears in distress.
I felt tears fall down my cheeks, closing my eyes as sobs escaped my lips. "Make it stop please! Stop talking everyone!" Feeling someone shake me, I opened my eyes only to see a pair of all to familiar green ones staring back at me. Five's lips moved but I couldn't hear anything, the other noises drowning him out. Shaking my head, as tears escaped my eyes "I can't. I can't hear. Five it's to loud." I covered my eyes even tighter, feeling my nails digging into the back of my ears.
Five's lips moved, telling me that he said something, I couldn't hear what, his eyes narrowed in aggravation, as he looked over his shoulder. A distant but urgent "Now!" left his lips, a couple of seconds later, the noises became quieter, Five turned back to face me, his hands coming up to my cheeks. "Hey, Hey, listen to me Eight. Can you hear me now?" I nodded my head, hearing the whispers of my siblings and distant noises from outside.
"I can but it's just barely. There are to many sounds and noises."
A crease crossed Five's forehead as he took a second to think, brows furrowed in concentration. "Eight. I need you to focus on only me and my voice, okay?" Closing my eyes I shook my head "I can't." The noises started to grow a bit louder as I closed my eyes, letting out a small whimper a couple of taps against my left cheek got me to open my eyes again. "Hey. Yes you can. Just, concentrate." Bringing my hands away from my ears, the noises grew even louder, causing tears to escape my eyes.
Fives thumbs brushed them away as I placed my hands on top of his own, staring into his green eyes I tried to focus on listening to only his voice. "Just focus on my voice sunshine" I let out a small sigh and closed my eyes trying to listen to Five's voice "Come on, you can do it Eight." The extra noises started to fade away, into a light background noise, the loudest voice I could hear was Five's.
Opening my eyes I sent Five a smile, the tears slowly stopping. A small smile of his own graced his normally annoyed face, his thumbs rubbing my cheeks in reassurance.
"Good job sunshine."

I let a small smile appeared on my face at the memory of Five. The intelligent boy once told me that in all the darkness that seemed to cover our lives, I was the bright sunlight the shined through it all. Earning me the nickname that he always seemed to call me, back when we were friends, that is. Hearing footsteps coming from the lounge, my head shot over to the doorway of the family room, only to see a girl with long dark brown hair, dressed in all black, making her way out. "Vanya?" The question passed my lips, recognizing my powerless violin playing sister in a heartbeat.
She stopped in the doorway at the mention of her name, her eyes holding guilt and regret as her gaze locked onto my own. I sent her a warm smile "It's so great to see you" I stated while taking quick long strides over to Vanya, engulfing her in a giant hug. Vanya stood stiff for a second or two before hugging me back "You're not mad?" Leaning back, I rested my hands on her shoulders, shaking my head with a small forgiving smile. "Of course not." I admit that the old me would've been pissed, I mean who the hell would want their own sister to tell the world about their suicide attempt in their petty little book?
I felt myself getting angry just from the thought of the world knowing about it. Taking my hands off of Vanya, I shoved my hands in my pockets, not wanting her to see me digging my nails into the palm of my hands as to keep myself grounded. "Out of everyone, I really expected you to be pissed." Shrugging my shoulders with a tight lipped smile I was quick to respond "People change." Vanya nodded her head as I walked off past her, wanting to see Five's painting for the first time in eleven years
"Hey (Y/n)?"
Stopping in the doorway of the lounge, I turned around to face her, my anger slowly subduing as the pain overtook my emotions. "I'm sorry..." she stated, staring me down with regretful eyes, practically begging me to forgive her. I sent her a smile "You're already forgiven." A small smile crossed her nervous look, as I turned around and walked off towards the fireplace with the giant painting of Five above it.
"Pogo?"
I asked, stopping in my tracks as the chimpanzee I grew up with stood in the lounge, already looking up at the exact painting I came to look at myself. Pogo turned to look over at me "Ah (Y/n). How are you my dear?" I let out a small huff in slight amusement, my hands opening up to stop from digging my nails into my skin anymore. Feeling more calm, I sent the chimp a smile only for him to look back up at the painting. "As good as I can be at this mess of a funeral." I was quick to stand next to him, staring up at Five's painting I let out a small huff.
"16 years now, right?"
Turning my head, I looked down at Pogo to see his reaction to my question. "16 years 4 months and 14 days." His eyes stared glued to the painting above him, mine going back to look up at it once again. My chest tightened in hurt, knowing that he is never going to come back, and I can't do anything about it, I never could. Closing my eyes I let a rigged sigh escape past my lips "I know you miss him." I let out a scoff in response to Pogo's statement, shaking my head in denial. "I don't miss shit. I hated that bastard." He let out a small chuckle in response to my claim "Yet you always stayed up for hours on end, waiting for him to come home." A small huff left my lips as I glared at the paining, not having a response to Pogos accusation, knowing full well that he was right.
Pogo took my silence as a chance for him to continue "He loved you, you know. Didn't know how to show it, but you could tell that he cared." I rolled my eyes at his statement shoving my hands further into my pockets. Not wanting to hear any of this at the moment "Sure had a weird fuckin' way of showing it." I admit, at one point in my life I would've been giddy with excitement at this information but now...
Now, I just don't care. Because everyone that I have loved, either died or went missing. My chest twisted in pain as I thought back to what happened with Tommy, closing my eyes, I felt tears of regret and sadness make their way past my eyes. Quickly wiping them away with the back of my hand, I cleared my throat before stating "I'm gonna take a walk down memory lane" Pogo didn't say anything, just nodded his head as I turned around, making my way out of the lounge and up the giant staircase.

As I walked up the steps I could hear a distant conversation, between what sounded like Klaus and Luther, I stopped at the top of the steps, my eyes fixated on the open door to Reginald's study. "No need to get your little panties in a bunch." I heard Klaus state, only for a guy with messy dark brown hair, a goatee and a long black coat to walk out the door, shutting it behind him. My eyes narrowed at the guy who walked closer and closer towards me "(Y/n)! My loving sister, how are we doing today?" Engulfing me in a hug, I rolled my eyes but overall hugged him back "You ditched me last night Klaus." I replied in an almost hurt tone.
Breaking the hug, Klaus' hands stayed on my waist, his blue eyes stared guiltily back into my own "I know, I know, and I'm so sorry. But I'll make it up to you okay? I promise." I stared into Klaus' puppy-like eyes, closing my eyes, a sigh passed my lips. 'That's what he says all the time. Yet here we are.' Opening my eyes, I threw on a fake smile, while nodding my head. This seemed to please Klaus as he smiled in return, pulling me into a tight hug. Breaking the hug, he sent a quick kiss to my cheek "Love you! Bye!" He shouted while making his way down the hall.
Letting a disappointed sigh past my lips, feeling my chest tighten in hurt, knowing that he will never make it up to me, not as long as he is hooked on those drugs. "Love you too." I mumbled before walking off towards my room.

It's like my legs were working on autopilot, carrying me to where all of our rooms were. Looking around at all the open doors, my eyes landed on the only closed one. 'He sure did love his privacy.' Placing a hand on the doorknob I let out a small huff in determination 'But he's not here anymore so it doesn't matter.' Slowly opening it, I stepped inside only to come face to face with the damaged chalkboard that stood across the room.
Walking over to it, to get a closer look, through the claw marks on the board, sat a finished equation, and the words "Time Travel?" scribbled next to it. I sat on Five's neatly made bed, staring at the same chalkboard with the same equation that I've looked at for the past 16 years. "Damn it you cheeky bastard. Where the hell did you go?" I mumbled as my eyes narrowed at the stupid chalkboard in aggravation.

After another long exhausting day of Reginald pushing me to try and track down Five with no success, I ended up in his room. I could practically hear him angrily telling me to stay out of his room, as if he had something to hide. I huffed in aggravation, sitting down on his bed, my hands sat on my knees as I stared at the chalkboard in front of me.
The stress, from Reginald's constant yelling at me all day, really starting to get to me. He's threatened to lock me away until I found Five but I've used my powers to look everywhere. My echolocation has found no trace of five, and when I brought up time travel...
Closing my eyes, I let out huffs in anger and sadness, there was no trace of the handprint on my face. My body healing rather quickly afterwards, tears started rolling down my cheeks, opening my eyes back up to look at the chalkboard in front of me, when it suddenly dawned on me. "This isn't my fault..." an angry growl arose from the back of my throat, my open hands turning into fists on my knees.
"...it's Five's."
Standing up from the bed, my anger got the best of me, turning into a wolf, I angrily stalked toward the wooden green chalkboard. Bringing a paw up, I was quick to dig my claws into it, swiping diagonally across the board, causing four scratch marks to form on the chalkboard. I let out huffs and growls in anger as one thought crossed my mind.
'Fuck Five Hargreeves.'
‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾ ‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾☂️ ☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙ ☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙
I dragged my hand over the four scratch marks on the chalkboard, a small huff of regret left my lips. 'I was so angry.' My eyes narrowed at the chalkboard 'I was always so angry.' Back then, I was unhinged, I didn't know how to control myself and every little emotion seemed to activate my powers in some sort of way. But the anger...
The rage that I experienced when I got angry...
It was terrible, having no control over anything I do, it's like I'm watching what's happening through my own eyes. All of the animals inside of me take control and I can't do anything to bring myself back from the haze, until it's to late.
"This is the last room I'd expect to find you in."
Noticing the deep voice of one of my brothers, I didn't even have to turn around to know who it was. "And why is that?" I questioned, while bringing my hand back away from the damaged chalkboard. "Because you two were constantly at each other's throats. I thought you'd be in Ben's room more than Five's." Turning around, my eyes caught sight of a guy with black hair, wearing a black combat suit as he flipped one of his knives around in his hand. His shoulder leaning against the doorway to Five's room, shaking my head a little in response.
"No. Diego, I can't go in there. Not after..."
Ben's death was always a hard subject for all of us, but it hurt me most of all. Because, unbeknownst to Reginald, Ben and I were in love, and we were together for quiet awhile until that damn mission. I was there when Ben died. I held him in my arms and had to watch as he took his final breaths, his dark chocolate eyes that held so much love, turned dull, his hand going limp in my own. Something about watching someone you truly love die in your arms, has a way of breaking you. But for me it didn't just happen once. No. It happened twice.
Closing my eyes and shaking my head a little to grab ahold of my emotions, the vigilantly across the room from me nodded his head. "I understand (Y/n). But that was 13 years ago. You have to move on." Opening my eyes, I narrowed them at Diego, my anger slowly bubbling up "I did move on Diego!" Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath, clenching and unclenching my fists to calm myself down. "That's new." He stated with a scoff "Usually you would've attacked me by now." I opened my eyes, only to roll them in response to his statement, shoving my hands back into my sweatshirt pockets.
"Yeah, well... people change."
My eyes drifted away from Diego, only to land on Five's desk. It was silent between the two of us for a minute or so before my brother spoke up once again. "Luther wanted to talk to us about dad's memorial service." Rolling my eyes, I drifted over to Five's desk, running my fingers along it, a sarcastic "How fun." left my lips. Glancing over at Diego, I watched as he pushed himself off the doorframe "You're the last one missing from downstairs" he flipped one of his knives once again, before putting it back in its propped place in its holster. "So let's go." Nodding his head out the door he stepped to the side to let me through.
Taking one last look around Five's room, my eyes looking around at every little thing that belonged to him. Even tho I would never say it out loud, I did miss the annoying smart ass. A small sigh escaped my lips, my eyes landed back on Diego, who stood to the side of the open door. Shoving my hands back in my black sweatshirt pockets, I walked out the door "Way to dress for the funeral by the way." I scoffed while shutting the door behind me, taking a look at Diego's combat suit, I was quick to counter.
"You're one to talk."
A small smile graced his lips, an air-like chuckle arose from him. His smile cause one of my own to appear on my face. After my suicide attempt, Diego made it his personal mission to make sure I was okay at all times. But as we got older, priorities changed, and as much as I loved the fact that he wasn't suffocating me by constantly being at my side anymore. I still missed him.
Swinging an arm over my shoulders "Come on, we better get going before Spaceboy gets his panties in a twist." Letting out a laugh in response to Diego's statement, the two of us walked down the hall, away from the rooms, and towards the conversation none of us wanted to have.

Slowly but quietly opening my bedroom door, I peeked my head out of it, listening and looking around the hallway. My eyes caught sight of Five's door, it was left slightly ajar, casting a small line of light out his door and into the hallway. "Crap." I whispered to myself, before closing my eyes and focusing my powers, trying to see if I could hear anything.
The only sound that could be heard was a distant rustling coming from the kitchen. Drawers could be heard opening and closing along with some quiet grumbles, which I identified to be Five. 'I better hurry before he spacial jumps back here.' I thought, not wanting to deal with him tonight, or any night for that matter. Quickly slipping out my bedroom door I went down the hall, past Fives room, only for something to grab my eye. My feet stopped a few feet past his room, backing up, my eyes caught sight of a chalkboard that held a bunch of equations on it. 'What is he trying to figure out now?' I reached my hand out to the door, about to push it open more to get a better look at things.
"What are you doing?"
The annoyed voice I've grown all to familiar with could be heard behind me. Quickly pulling my hand away away from the door, I turned around to face him "Five! Hey..." I stated a forced smile on my face, trying to act like I wasn't just going to snoop around in his room. Five stared at me with that annoyed look he seemed to give everyone lately. His signature peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich sitting cut into two triangles, on a plate in his hands. "If you plan looking around my room, you're not gonna find anything that your tiny brain could make sense of." Picking up one of the triangles he took a bite, all while spacial jumping past me into his room.
I turned back around towards the door in front of me, anger surged through me, pushing it open even more than it already was. Five ignored me, staring down the chalkboard in front of him as he ate his sandwich. "I wasn't going to look through your room." Five's eyes stayed glued onto the equations in front of him, placing his sandwich down on the plate that sat on his desk. "Oh yeah?" He asked a smirk of amusement making its way to his face "Then what else were you doing standing outside the door of my room?" He asked, all while fixing something in the equation.
I opened my mouth to respond, only for Five to turn his attention towards me, his green eyes piercing through me, arms crossing across his chest. "If you were gonna confess your undying love for me, I'm touched but your out of luck." Turning back around he stated a matter of factly "Even if we were the last two living things on the planet, I still wouldn't date you." I let out a huff in anger, my hands turning to fists at my sides as I sent a glare to the back of his head.
"If there was ever a girl on this damn planet who has feelings for you, I'd personally shoot myself in the foot."
Glancing over at me brows furrowed in thought "I have a better idea." He stated, while walking towards me "Since we both know that shot will do nothing to you, If a girl ever likes me, you have to kiss me on the lips." I glared at the smug boy who stood in front of me, feeling myself getting angrier than I already am. "Your disgusting. There is no way I'm kissing you. I’d rather get burned alive. " A small huff in amusement left his lips, licking his lips he was quick to counter "That's the point. You're not supposed to like it." Leaning forward, getting a little closer to my face.
"Now what's your half of the bet?"
Shoving Five away from me, needing to let my anger out somehow before I loose control and accidentally try to kill him. "I bet that there is no one on earth who would be dumb enough to date you." Five raised his brows, expecting me to continue "And what's my consequence?" He asked, shoving his hands in his uniform pockets, leaning forward a little. His dark brown hair falling over the right side of his forehead "You have to leave me alone for the rest of our lives." Five's eyes widened a little bit, his smirk twitches down for a quick second but was quick to fix itself. Holding his hand out for me to take, I glanced at his hand, before looking back up into his forest green eyes. I took his hand in mine while shaking it.
"Deal."
"Deal."

Everyone else is in white.
Grace starts the record player, a weatherman's voice reverberated throughout the room. Grace grabs a little bell and starts ringing it, soft chimes gaining the attention of the children.
All of them came to the dining hall one by one standing behind a chair waiting for their father to present himself.
Hargreeves finally makes his way into the room and gives them permission to sit.
Allison and Luther make eyes at each other as the rest of the kids start to dig into their meals. All of them except Five however whom was currently glaring daggers at his so called father. Ben pulls out a book to read Klaus was doing something secretive.
Five picks up his knife and stabs it into the table gaining everyone's attention including Hargreeves though he refused to look at him.
"Number Five."
"I have a question."
Five states with an annoyed smile on his face. He hated when Reginald did that it was like he saw them as less than.
"Knowledge is an admirable goal, but you know the rules. No talking during meal times. You are interrupting Herr Carlson."
Five's frowns.
"I want to time travel."
"No."
"But I'm ready. I've been practicing my spatial jumps, just like you said."
Five stands from his seat. Hargreeves still refuses to look at him which causes Five to glare at him before teleporting at his side.
"See?"
Five was starting to get upset. Why couldn't he acknowledge that he was getting better. Aren't parents supposed to encourage their kids?
"A spatial jump is trivial when compared with the unknowns of time travel."
Five looked at his siblings but they were all ignoring the fit he was throwing.
"One is like sliding along ice, the other is akin to descending blindly into the depths of the freezing water and reappearing as an acorn."
Five sighs to himself.
"Well, I don't get it."
"Hence the reason you're not ready."
Five glances at his siblings again this time they were all looking at him. Vanya shook her head at him signaling for him to stop. It only angered him because he didn't think they believed in him.
"I'm not afraid."
"Fear is not the issue. The effects it might have on your body, even on your mind, are far too unpredictable."
Hargreeves finally looks at him, there as a fierce glare and deep frown on his face.
"Now, I forbid you to talk about this anymore."
Five looked at him with eyes full of resentment, there was a look of contempt on his face.
Five glares at the ground as Hargreeves turns his attention back to his plate. Five walks out of the dining hall catching everyone's attention.
"Number Five! You haven't been excused."
Five ignored his statement and headed outside.
"Come back here!"
Five walks the streets with a determined look on his face. Who cares if his family didn't believe in him. He was going to show them. Show him. That he was ready. If Hargreeves wasn't going to show him how to time travel, he'll do it himself.
Five begins to run holding his hands out in front of him. His hands begin to shine a bright blue color and as he spreads his hands apart the trees that were once lifeless now had blossoming flowers and bright green leaves.
Five looks behind him and smiles, there were more people outside now and different stands, new restaurants.
"Not ready, my ass."
Now more confident he jumps again. This time snow filled the ground, the air was cold and frigid. There were few were people on the streets and now buildings were put on lease.
He jumps one last time and what he sees shocks him.
Everything was destroyed, buildings were either torn down to debris or on fire. There was no one walking around that he could see. The air was fogged from all the smoke, it was hard to breathe.
He looked around in panic, this was not what he had expected when he decided to jump. This couldn't be the future, how could the world go to shit so fast...
He turned to run, heading home to find his siblings only to come to the hard truth of his home being burned down. It was hard to believe that this happened, where was everyone?
"Vanya! Ben! Dad! Anyone!"
He was scared. He had to warn them what was about to happen.
He balled his fist ready to jump but nothing happened, his hands weren't glowing. He tried again and again but still nothing.
"Come on!"
He was starting to get frustrated with himself. He should be able to do this no problem, he did it before. He got here just fine, he should be able to jump back.
But his body refused, it wouldn't let him and he had to come to terms with the fact that his father was right.
"Shit!"
-
"Wow out one prison and into another."
You shake your head in disbelief, Five shrugs relishing in the feel of your hand playing with his brown locks as his head laid in your lap.
"Dolores makes it bearable."
"What about me?"
Five smiles at you teasingly.
"I could do without you."
You gave him a faux look of annoyance and pushed him off your lap causing him to laugh.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Come back."
Five reaches out for you still laughing.
"Cuddle up with your doll."
Five groans still reaching for you.
"She's not as warm as you."
You roll your eyes when Five wrapped his arms around you and placed his face in your stomach.
"What am I gonna do with you?"
"Oh please, you know you love me."
He had no idea.
🫧⌛🫧⌛🫧⌛🫧⌛🫧⌛🫧⌛🫧⌛
Five was currently walking the streets late at night after leaving Vanya's apartment. He was currently pissed off right now. He didn't know if it was because he no longer looked his age but his siblings were not taking anything he said seriously.
It didn't matter though because whether they were helping or not, Five was going to stop the apocalypse, He had to.
With his mind focused on one thing and one thing only he didn't notice the blue light that shined behind his back.
You watched as the figure walked further and further into the darkness in case it had been one of those people Five had warned you to watchout for at night. When the figure is a safe distance away from you; you stand from the ground and start to dust yourself off.
"Okay Five, where are you?"
You started to look around at your surroundings. You didn't know where you were supposed to go, it's been awhile since you've been here and it's even more different now that there were actual buildings around. You were used to seeing tons of merpeople back home but it was a relief to see actual people on the deserted land you came to know, up until now the only people you've interacted with had been Five, some of your ex coworkers at the commission and people that you either had to kill or were on the brink of death, all isolated conditions. Sure you didn't talk to the figure but it was a nice change.
You let out a yawn, slowly rubbing your tired eyes, you were exhausted after today. Finding Five would have to wait and with your tracker now out of your system you actually felt safe enough to get some rest.
With that in mind you went on a search to find a nice place to sleep however unbeknownst to you, there was someone else looming in the shadows waiting for the right moment to strike.
You had ended up finding some type of motel. You realized that you didn't have any money on you but the staff was nice enough to cut a deal with you for the night. The guy had directed you to a small room, it wasn't very nice looking and it didn't have conditioning but you were happy with it regardless.
You moved one of the dressers near the door seeing as they put you in a room with no lock, you took a cold bath before checking the window and finally heading to bed.
Outside of the Motel, a taxi pulled up and out stepped two of the four assassins sent to take care of you and Five. A man and woman dressed in blue suits. Hazel and ChaCha.
The two walked into the building and spoke with the staff. The man hands them a key card.
"Room 225."
The two of them look at the man confused. Or ChaCha did Hazel looked around disinterested.
"Where's the other room?"
The other room happened to be the broken down room he had ended up giving to you. He didn't want to admit it so he lied.
"Um... Only one room was booked."
Hazel sighs and whispers to himself.
"Dammit I'm sick of this cost-cutting bullshit."
"Just tell me there's two beds."
ChaCha says firmly.
"Yes Ma'am. Real firm."
ChaCha was not amused.
"How long will you be staying with us?"
"Just the one night. I believe there's a package waiting for us."
The guy nods at her and goes to grab it. He comes back with a box addressed to them. ChaCha grabs the box while Hazel grabs the key card and they go about their day.
Not too far from the motel was an abandoned laboratory, It was dark and dusty, the owner clearly hadn't been there in years. The whirl of machinery started to sound and soon multiple different red lights started to fill the room.
🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪
Griddy's was surrounded by different cop cars, there was caution tape surrounding the building and faint drops of blood on the ground. Agnes sat in one of the booths, she was still shaken up about the events that transpired.
One of the cops who went by the name Detective Patch walked around the building shocked by the amount of bodies.
"This is a once in a blue moon type situation, I'd say."
"I'm inclined to agree."
Her boss sighed.
"Same gun on every vic, all M4s. All the castings are .223s."
She informs him of the findings.
"Know what I think? I think these idiots all shot each other."
She said confidently, her boss added to the statement.
"And stabbed. One in the throat."
He shivered.
"One in the eye, and this guy got his neck snapped."
He falls joining her on the ground to inspect the body.
"All quick and efficient kills."
"These are definitely professionals. Dumb, but professionals. Any witnesses?"
"Yes, one."
He points at Anges. Patch walks up to the woman wanting to ask her about what happened.
"It was a slow night. It was quiet. My last two customers were this.. older guy and— and his kid."
Patch nods.
"The guy had a dough— No, that's not right. The guy had an éclair, and the kid had— had coffee. I went-- I went into the back room... To just get some more change. Then I heard his truck start up. They drove away."
Anges recounts remembering the gun shots.
"I heard shots."
She remembered jumping under the desk, cowering until the guns stopped.
"By the time I got back in here. Everyone was..."
She couldn't say it, she wanted to cry.
"Was you know."
"Was there anyone else in the shop?"
Patch asked gently. Agnes shook her head.
"I'm sorry, not to be rude, 'cause you seem super sweet, but..."
She pauses remembering the brunette man who was dressed in dark clothing and a green jacket that came earlier that night.
"do I have to go through all this again?"
Patch was confused.
"Again?"
"Well I already told the other detective everything."
Patch made an annoyed look, she knew who it was but she had to ask anyway.
"What other detective?"
-
Diego walks out from the back of the building. He sighs when he sees all the police outside of his exit door.
"Shit. Hang on, let me—"
He tried to talk but Patch wasn't having any of it and tases him. She cuffs him and berates him as she walks him towards the front of the store. Diego tries to flirt to get under her skin and she ends up taking his walkie and everything else important that he had besides his mask.
"That you can keep."
"You used to like that."
"Not anymore."
"Where's Lupo?"
"Not here."
"Can I talk to him?"
"Nope."
Diego sighs.
"By the way, this thing might look like a botched robbery, but my gut's telling me something else is going on here."
Patch rolls her eyes.
"Look, the waitress, she mentioned that Ishmael's Tow Truck guy. Maybe they saw something."
"You're not police, Diego, remember?"
"Yeah, I know."
He says sarcastically as she puts him in the back of the police car.
"Do you? Because you show up and act like you can be a part of this, and you can't, not anymore."
She says to him closing the door, sometimes she felt like she was a mother scolding a child when it came to him.
"I'm good at this. You know I can help you. Ask Lupo."
"I know you give me agita. And I do not need... I do not want your help. And I'll make sure the boss talks to Lupo."
Diego glares at her, he was frustrated. His whole life, taught to fight crime and people act like he can't even do that.
Patch walks off as a crowd of people look at the commotion at Griddy's, Hazel and ChaCha being apart of the crowd. ChaCha was silently judging the agents that were burnt to a crisp outside of the building.
🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧
You woke up to the sound of the soft chirping of the birds, their little song reminding you of Tigger. Though you couldn't hear him then, his dancing told you he was.
You smiled as you listened to their song wanting to join in with them. You finally stand up to get ready for the day.
You looked at yourself in the mirror there was a small splatter of blood on your suit, faint enough at night but not quite in the day. You took it off and started to wash your face. While washing your face you had the urge to drink from the sink, you hadn't had water in a while and you needed it in your system to be able to use your powers, C.H. and C.C. was currently after you and you had no idea where they were. You never know when you need to turn into a mermaid (less likely) or blow out someone's eardrums.
After mulling over your options you decided it's better safe than sorry and drunk from the sink. Your skin was starting to gain some color and you felt way better.
After that you walked out and had a chat with the staff member from the night before. You waved at him as you left.
"See you later, I will have your money by then. Thank you."
You walked out and smiled as the sun beamed down on your skin, you used to have a bad relationship with the sun. Being alone on a deserted land, crawling around with a heavy tail while being dried out will do that. But over the years it's become a solace, after meeting The Handler everything had become dark but the sun was always there shining bright and you had begun to admire it.
It was nice to see the sky, it was just as blue as the ocean. You hadn't gotten to see it like this before. The air was filled with smoke around the time you came on land, it polluted the sky and other times you were too occupied to notice it when taking care of business.
There was nature, birds, trees, people, lots of people not the lifeless corpses you've come to see across your many years on land.
This was what your mom saw, the way she described the human world before she...
You let out a deep sigh. As you were walking past a park, a terrorized scream filled the air.
And just like that, you were reminded that the human world was in fact not like the stories your mother told you.
