馃巶 REISE, REISE TURNS 19 TODAY馃巿
Reise, Reise 聽is the fourth studio album by 聽Rammstein. It was released on 27 September 2004 through聽Universal Music聽in Germany and followed shortly by its release across Europe.
Seven songs were left out from the album's final track listing and were later released on Rosenrot. A statement from the band's management company about the album said;
"After the production period of the album, there were many songs which did not find a place on 'Reise, Reise' due to dramaturgical reason but are now completed. This is not unusual. As 'Ohne Dich' derived from the production of 'Mutter', many songs have been sitting to be completed for a year and shall now come to light. Which songs remains to be seen and is up to the band only."

Hey, good evening! I must say that i just LOVE your blog, and I think you're the right person to talk about Oliver, so here we go:
Is it true that Ollie sometimes sings with Till on the albums? I read it somewhere a while ago, but hearing the song I just couldn't identify any other voice than Till's
(Maybe 'cos my earphones are shit)
Could you please enlighten me on that matter?
Hello, and thank you, I'm glad you like it!
Yes, it is true that Oliver sometimes doubles with Till on albums, mainly in choruses. This started for Reise, Reise, and it was revealed on the band's official Interview Disc with Oliver and Paul.
What happened was that during rehearsals, Oliver sometimes sang along for fun. Producer Jacob Hellner told him that he had a good voice, and had him double with Till who had previously doubled himself.
Since the whole point is to give a boost to Till's voice, it is naturally very difficult to hear Oliver singing. However, you can pick up that there is a second voice, especially on the XXI versions of Reise, Reise as they have a slightly different mix. I believe Stein um Stein might be one of the songs where it's the easiest to hear.
Oliver has a soft voice, less distinct than Till, which makes it really good for doubling. Paul actually remarked that Oliver's doubling made Till's singing even more beautiful, and that if everyone thought Till suddenly could sing better, they were wrong, it was just Oliver singing along, and the guitars sounding tougher. I don't really agree, Till does sing better, but Oliver's singing is definitely providing an extra dimension to the songs.
While Oliver has done some backing vocals on stage in the past, he doesn't like it (he said in the interview that he hoped he wouldn't be singing live), and lately, he has stopped doing it. Though he has continued doubling also on some songs on albums after Reise, Reise.

Morgenstern ach scheine,
Auf das Antlitz mein,
Wirf ein warmes Licht,
Auf mein Ungesicht.
Sag mir ich bin nicht alleine,
H盲sslich, du bist h盲sslich.
Du, du bist h盲sslich.
