Very closed off and not looking for a relationship

He had hired you to take care of Abby when he was away and that’s how you two began getting closer.

Not the best conversation starter, however when you gave him the opportunity to speak about the dream theory he starts going on about it.

Then he apologizes and begins feeling a bit unsure and awkward.

It never really advanced from there and he’d almost constantly apologize and reassure that he’d pay you soon, but you never really cared for it.

Really peaked his interest when he realized that Abby had really grown to like you and began inviting you to do things with the both of them.

You, of course accepted and eventually Mike had started developing feelings for you.

Just as you did for him.

He didnt act on them at first.

Primarily Because he doesn’t see himself in a relationship, especially not with someone like you with him.

You were amazing, and he was a sad grown man who had to care for his little sister, and not even in a way he saw proper.

So of course he shuts it down, telling himself it’d be better off that way.

However, some way, somehow you got involved with Freddy’s pizzeria and you not only managed to save him but also Abby.

Then from there it just went uphill.

He got a better job, better pay, and is able to connect with Abby easier.

Not only that but the custody battle has been leaning in his favor.

He had no one to thank but you.

You’d take Abby to school, occasionally cook for them, and you were always reliable.

One fateful evening you and Mike were just hanging out in the living room.

Talking and just watching whatever was on TV.

Then he brought up your relationship, and stated that he’d really like to start one with you, a romantic one, that is.

You of course, said yes, and he was relieved and happy at your reaction.

But then Abby came to mind, what would she think?

You asked him this almost immediately.

But he reassured and said that the final push was actually when Abby hinted/teased her older brother about your potential relationship, then ran off.

You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding and an awkward atmosphere hung in the air but then Mike went to hold you hand and it made it semi better.

The next morning you almost immediately told Abby and she was so happy.

Which really relieved the both of you.

Things had changed, albeit subtly.

And although Mike wasn’t the most physically affectionate, probably due to him being pretty much touched starved and traumatized.

He tried his best to convey his affection towards you with teasing and joking around.

You’d often just enjoy the others company and bond mostly with Abby around.

If you were to ever do something even a little bit flirty around her she’d immediately be grossed out.

Which was funny, and was mentally noted to ever do again in her presence, even if it was just a kid friendly comment.

Your guy’s first kiss was pretty intimate

I mean Mike had never seemed much interested in kissing or doing anything further down the road.

However, after a particularly draining day, and horrible weather outside, Mike had offered you to stay for the night.

Abby was so excited and the three of you played with her just a little bit over her curfew then sent her off to bed.

When you were finally able to be alone, Mike, very awkwardly and a bit bashful, offered for you to sleep in his bed.

You, like the amazing person you were, rejected and said that it was fine and that he should just sleep there.

Not completely understanding that Mike didn’t mean separate, but together.

Once he bashfully explains that all you can do is mutter out an “oh” and go along with it.

Pretty awkward as you both just lay down as stiff as rods in silence.

Then you guys begin talking.

And it’s just you two talking about whatever at like 2 a.m, trying your best to keep it down.

If you decide to be bold and make a move by asking if you could cuddle with him, then he’d hesitantly agree.

Again, not because he hates you, but because he’s an awkward guy.

So once you’re settled in each others arms you start talking about each others traumas and mostly hidden things.

It’s the sleep deprivation getting to you guys.

Well once you’re both finished venting and just being vulnerable you decide to make a move and lean forward, giving him plenty of time to move if it’s not wanted.

But he didn’t, and the clash of your lips followed soon after and how drawed out it was won’t be mentioned by either of you either.

I went a little off-track, mb 😭

- That’s how Emma found out he had a massive crush on you, and she was a little mad because you and her had been friends longer than you’d known Mikey. She was sure that her brother’s feelings weren’t genuine. She didn’t want Mikey to ever confess, in case the relationship didn’t work out and you stopped being friends with her because it was awkward.

- But when she noticed his feelings were actually genuine she was hell-bent on getting him to confess.

Honestly, Sal is the best boyfriend ever, he’s always there for you and he always knows the perfect things to say when comforting you.

The two of you met because of the ghosts and the whole cult thing while at high school.

You were the more outspoken one out of the two of you since Sal was mostly against violence even when Travis was brought into the convo.

I can definitely see Sal being the first one to approach you.

It all started when Sal started becoming increasingly interested in you to the point that Larry and even ash started teasing and encouraging him to talk to you.

It was hard not to fall for him, especially with how lovable he is.

Early stages:

As a partner, during the early stages he'd be very nervous to make the first moves, because he isnt sure yet what you'd like or if you're comfortable with some things.

Would love it if you made the first move though

Like holding hands underneath the cafeteria tables, patting his hair as a 'good job!' after training or just slinging your arm around him

He loves it when you do any physical affection

Poor boy's touch starved, he'll take whatever he can get

Would love parallel play, something about just the two of you, sitting in peace and doing your own things

Its nice and quiet, he isn't overwhelmed and there isn't any preassure to do anything, just the both of you in each other's company

Gives you lots of small gifts, like keychains or fancy bookmarks, anything that suits your taste

One time he even got you a small little plushie and placed it on your desk with no explanation whatsoever

Cuddling comes awkward to him at first, but he comes around after a while

By a while I mean MONTHS

He's just not used to it, hugging is already awkward for him, so its hard for him to just lay in your arms for a long period of time

What does he do? Is there a correct way to cuddle? Should he be doing something? Where does he lay his head?

Would definitely search up 'cuddle poses' online

But he just gets even more confused and goes down a deep rabbit hole about cuddling

Affections/comfort:

When he does come around, that's the way he recharges at the end of the day

After a long day of work and socialising he just wants some peace, quiet and some cuddles from his partner

Would just walk in wherever you were, lie down on top of your torso and just stay there, eyes closed and breathing slowed as he calms down

Would rather be the one being held , adores it when you rub circles into his back to soothe him

Would just randomly lay his head on your shoulder whenever he's tired but can't properly sit down and rest during training

And then at this point, he's more comfortable with initiating stuff

He doesn't know what to do if you're ever in a situation that requires comfort

The boy's a bit dense, okay? He saw Momo crying and asked if she was feeling nauseous, then immediately told her there's a preassure point somewhere to relieve it

Offers you his favourite food or any sort of advice because those things are what usually helps him feel better

Would ask you whats wrong, and try his best to fix the problem instead of reassuring you since he's not really good with comforting people

"Whats wrong?" He asks upon entering the room and seeing you sitting down somewhere, eyes puffy and a frustrated look on your face.

"I'm just really overwhelmed, Shoto, all this work is putting stress on me.." You say, wiping your eyes even though the tears stopped a long time ago.

There was a moment of silence, Shoto stands in front of you, hands awkwardly raised up to his sides unsure of what to do.

"Are you hungry?" He asked, and you just look at him confused.

"I have leftover soba.."

You smile at him, standing up and making your way to the kitchen. He sits next to you and you both just share the plate in silence before he speaks again.

"If you're stressed next time, you can just tell me. I'll help you."

"I have notes for our classes to help you simplify everything. It is essential that a person rests appropriately and avoid overworking themselves." He says, and you can't help but smile, chuckling a little at how punctual he is.

Who would know?:

Isn't one to loudly declare he's in a relationship, in fact people didn't know until it slipped one day.

"Shoto, do you want to go out today?" You ask him whilst passing by the common room of the dorms, he was talking- well, engaging in a one sided conversation with some of your classmates.

"Woah, first name basis huh? You two must be close then Todoroki-kun"

"Well yeah, they're my partner."

"YOUR WHAT?!"

Everyone would bombared you guys with questions after that

Shoto just answers it shortly, keeping it simple

"When did you guys start dating?"

"Three months ago."

"A few months ago?! And you didn't tell us?? Man, i thought we were friends, Todoroki.."

"I hope this doesn't cause you both to slack off during exercises, your education is still important!"

"Wow Todoroki, have you guys done it yet?? Must be nice having a partner~"

Mineta immediately got kicked by you after that

Shoto's indifferent to making your relationship public, if you wanted to or don't want to, he's fine with anything

Would prefer the relationship to only be known to people he actually knew instead of like announcing it to everyone

Example: his class, friends, your family.

Although sometimes he might let it slip because he thinks about you alot in between classes

It would take time for him to talk about his relationship to his family, especially Endevour

Fuyumi would be you guys' #1 supporter and the first one to find out

Natsuo's a little more distant to shoto than Fuyumi is, so he'd be third to find out, right after his mother

Endevour would only be told after like 6 months of dating

Who knows, maybe Shoto would be spiteful enough to not even tell him for years

Public Display of Affection:

Shoto will hold your hands under tables or stay close to you by your side and hold hands if no one's paying attention.

Doesn't like PDA as much, at most he'll hold your hands and lay his head on your shoulder when you're out in public

He just doesn't like showing that very new and vulnerable side of him being affectionate to the world

Plus, it brings his guard down because he's fully relaxed if he's affectionate with you

Thoughts of the future:

Todoroki's the type of person to just slow down and be in the moment with you but then blurt about a highly detailed future with you out of nowhere

You would go shopping and you'd spot him eyeing a plant in a store

When you ask what he's thinking about, he with a straight face say:

"You said you like these. If we get one when we move in together, do you think the two cats we'll have will be disturbing these or would it be fine considering ragdoll cats are mostly known for their relaxed nature? "

"Shoto we haven't even graduated yet!"

If you're a hero too, he trusts you fully to take care of yourself during missions or any villain attacks

Would interfere if he has to, if anything were to happen to you during missions he'd be heartbroken

Going down a spiral of the things he could've done to protect you, to make sure you were safe

He also wouldn't hold back during any training just because your his partner, he believes you both need to grow strong together to become heroes

If you weren't a hero, he'd try his best to protect you if you were ever caught up in his hero nonsense

Totally supports any career you wanted to take up, claiming that he'll be the one to take care of everything financially

I mean, better use Endevour's card for SOMETHING

Wants at least one cat in the house, ragdolls specifically

Kids are not something he has in mind, especially considering he'd like to focus on you and his career

He also doesn't want to end up like his dad

Would consider children if you both are stable in your lives and careers

And if you don't want kids, he's fine with that too

The house would be remodeled into those old Japanese ones like his dorm room, if you didn't like it he'd have at least his work office that way

Rayman relationship headcanons {gender neutral reader}

(side note: while these hc's are based on the canon Rayman, i haven't picked a specific version from the games, kinda an amalgamation if you will, anyways enjoy! i'm a bit rusty at this </3)

• it wasn't hard to get closer to Rayman as a friend seeing as he's very outgoing. the idea of dating however was completely unexpected to him

• he slept for 100 years he doesn't know crap about confessing feelings (poor bby😭)

• he's not gonna be the one to make the first move, as much as he wants to

• much to your surprise, under that energetic personality, he's pretty sappy when given affection

• he doesn't usually like when people try to touch his hair, but you're an exception ;)

• on rare occasions when not overwhelmed by shyness, he'll discreetly grab hold of your hand, or when the two of you are alone, he'll nuzzle his snoot against your neck

• give him lil scratches under his chin, he purrs-

• he really likes it when you sing to him <3 he'll absolutely return the favor

• while expressing his feelings with words is a bit nerve-wracking for him, he finds others ways to show you he cares, leaving you small gifts and surprising you with flowers are just a few ways he does so

• if you ever catch him off guard by saying something extremely flirtatious, he'll go completely silent but his entire face going red gives away how you make him feel

• when you show him physical affection, he'll always return the favor, it just takes a little courage for him to do so

• he really likes nuzzling and kissing your neck and shoulders, not justvbecause you're particularly sensitive there, but those are both parts of the body he lacks, he's really curious 👁👁

• he is awful and extremely cheesy at flirting but is genuinely sweet when the two of you are alone and he tries his best to just let you know how he feels

• in terms of heroes capable of incredible feats, he's pretty humble. but if you ever call him "your hero" he'll nearly melt into a puddle

• you're the first partner he's really had, don't embarrass him too much when he introduces you to his friends

• if you ever ask him why his limbs float, don't. he has no clue either don't ask him if "other parts" of him float too, he will curl up into his own hoodie out of embarrassment and not come out

• he's a good listener, not just because he's a man of few words but he's just naturally a problem solver to his core

• the longer the two of you are together, the more his outgoing nature rubs off into his love life, you find him initiating things more, coming up behind you to surprise you with a little kiss every now n then

• while he's very sweet and chipper, he has 0 issue with fighting for you, wether in your honor or to ever rescue you

• no matter how old he is, he's never too old to be a bit silly, it's easy for him to brighten the mood with half of the faces he pulls. sometimes during very inopportune moments he'd look at you with the most goofy expression just to make you burst out laughing with no context

• he takes care of you so much and never asks for anything im return, getting affection and praise from you makes him simply wanna explode sometimes. he absolutely adores you💜🧡

He would just LOVE having you around. All the damn time.

For example: When he throws parties in his house, he’ll have you by his side all the time.

“But Jesse… I need to work!” “Work can wait, babe. I’m having a party!” “But…” “Pleaseeee! It’s not a good party if you’re not around…” “...Fine.”

When he falls in love, he falls hard.

Even if you’ve dated him for a short while, he would express his love for you early on.

He would be very insecure at the beginning of a relationship, so he needs lots of reassurance that he’s doing the right things etc.

He’ll brag about you for everyone, ALL THE TIME.

Jesse: “I’m telling ya! My partner is the best. Skinny Pete and Badger: “...Here we go again.” Walter: “I literally don’t care. We have work to do!”

His love language is touch. Every opportunity he gets, he wants to touch you (with consent ofc) This includes:

- Holding your hand when walking

- When sitting down, he’ll either make sure your legs are touching

- …Or have his hand resting on your thigh.

- He loves having you sit in his lap, so he can cuddle you and rest his face against your neck. It relaxes him.

Jesse doesn’t mind PDA. He likes showing his you off. He often feels like you are “too good for him”, and therefore wants to brag, because he has such a wonderful (and hot) partner.

He tends to get awkward when you call him nicknames or show him affection around his friends, since they tease him for being “a simp”.

You like it tho.

Sometimes you’re extra “lovey-dovey” towards Jesse when his friends are around, just to tease him and watch him blush.

Since Jesse earns lots of money in the meth business, he would buy you expensive gifts.

…And make lots of impulsive purchases.

You try making him stop spending so much money on gifts, but even if he promises to stop, he doesn't…

He LOVES seeing you wearing his clothes. And if you don’t, he would probably ask you to wear his shirts, when sleeping etc. He just enjoys the sight of it, and for him, it’s the most adorable thing.

His phone would be full of selfies of you and him, but mostly pictures of you. He’s the guy to make you his lockscreen.

The two of you have a playful banter. There’s lot of teasing going on, and you have inside jokes (most of them are mocking Walter together)

He likes playing video games with you. This would be the one of the few times he’s rude. He is very competitive and tends to take games a bit too seriously.

If he wins the game, he won’t shut up about it. He’ll tease you for it, until you tell him to shut the hell up

…If he loses, tho… He’ll be a baby about it.

“Impossible! You cheated!” “I’m just better than you, Jesse!” “Yeah, right…” “...Are you mad at me?” “...Maybe”

If you don’t like alcohol and drugs, he would try to not use it in front of you. He would try quitting, but it would be a long journey. He hates seeing you worried for him, and that would be a motivation for him to quit, or at least try.

When cuddling and sleeping - He doesn’t care if he’s the big or little spoon. Whichever you prefer.

Comforting each other.

Whenever you’re sad or angry, Jesse does everything to cheer you up. He tends to get awkward when someone cries, so he doesn’t know how to react. But he always does his best to cheer you up.

He would want to introduce you to his friends. He wants everyone to know how amazing you are.

He also likes the idea of being able to hang out with his friends and his partner at the same time.

But this would also include jealousy and Jesse being overprotective.

He doesn’t like being the possessive boyfriend type, but if one of his friends tries hitting on you, he'd stare them or “playfully” threaten them.

If someone flirts with you when he’s around, he either gets really insecure, or will just simply walk up to you and be affectionate (basically his way of saying: “They’re mine, back off bitch”)

This also includes his work. In dangerous situations, he prioritizes your safety before his own.

…Although you’d probably end up being the one protecting him.

He would probably try keeping the relationship with you a secret, since he’s scared you’ll become a target.

At first, Jesse tried to lie about his career, but him being away for such a long time everyday made you suspicious.

The last thing he wanted was for you to think he was cheating. Afraid of losing you, he decided to tell you the truth.

You were shocked, of course.

…But most of all, you were concerned. Knowing how dangerous his work is, and how he risks going to jail or getting killed, you got very worried for him.

It would probably lead to arguments, since you both are so concerned for one another.

Learning he’s too stubborn to quit, you give up the attempts to convince him.

But he would definitely make promises to you, that he will be careful, and not shut you out.

Jesse wants good communication with his partner, and the two of you would always be honest, and never keep secrets from each other.

In his free-time, he spends a lot of time with you.

If you guys don’t share the same interests, that’s ok with him.

He tries being a supportive boyfriend, and you’re the one to decide where to go and what to do.

This includes small, simple things, such as: Food, movies, music and games.

Even if he’s bored, he’ll try to not show it. (...Although he would fall asleep against you when watching your favourite/”boring” movies)

Date nights include going to loud parties and getting wasted, going to a bar or restaurant etc…

But it can also be “calm” dates - watching movies at home and eating snacks or playing video games.

This man gets beaten up ALOT. He tries hiding it from you (but fails in every way). You are the one that patches him up and cleans his wounds.

At first, he thought it was embarrassing that his partner had to take care of his wounds, but he grew to like it.

Having you tending him feels good.

…And he loves watching your focused face when you clean his wounds and patch him up if needed.

Jesse also enjoys hearing you mutter threats against the person that beat him up.

He may be protective over you, but you’re also very protective over him.

His “enemies” are your enemies.

When moving to Alaska, you would come with him.

He refused at first, since he was scared that something would go wrong.

But it was the opposite. You both got a fresh new start, and under new identities, you guys could finally have a normal life.

He wants to take things slow, but he also wants to marry you one day.

And eventually start a family too, if you want to. He wants to have children with the person he loves, and be able to give them the life he never had.

He would be such a good dad omg

After all the stress and trauma he’s been through, he just wants to “settle down” and live a calm life together with you.

He would also want pets lol

I see him as a dog person, so he would definitely, with or without your liking, buy a dog.

(Going out on long walks at winter with the dog <3)

He has lots of trauma, and has moments where he doubts himself and has breakdowns, but having you around helps him alot.

Of course, you are always there to support him and help him through difficult times.

…Basically: Your relationship would be so pure, dramatic but sweet.
