Humbled
I’m humbled in the name of Jesus.
I now truly understand what it means to keep quiet, until God says to speak.
I give up on my own understanding.
From now on, I shall only use The Lords discernment.
I’m ashamed and tired of my own judgement.
We’re all human. We make mistakes, at some point God will call us to stop wasting time.
Gods kingdom needs people who are dedicated to HIS will & not our own.
We’re given free will as a test to see where our heart lies.
My heart is tired of fighting the Truth.
I give up, not on life. I give up on trying to know it all. God show me the way. Without you I am nothing.

Once again I am baffled by the concept of fearing God. Like. No?? That's my dad?? My best friend?? He sits with me at the breakfast table. I cry on his shoulder. He cheers me on and helps me get up when I fall. I sing him songs and he keeps me safe. I fall asleep in his embrace. Sometimes I act out, sometimes I fight him, sometimes I'm rude and disrespectful, but in the end, I apologise and he forgives me. I could never fear him, and I don't think he would want me to. After all, would a loving parent want their child to fear them?

God or…
Tumblr media
There are basically two ways to deal with God.
In our relationship with God, we can follow the direction that Jesus gives us in today’s Gospel. When He says (quoting Isaiah), “They shall all be taught by God.” Or we can do the teaching ourselves.
That is, we can either open our hearts and our minds to God. And let God teach us who He is.
Or we can teach God who He is.
Our relationship with God will be radically different, depending on who we let do the teaching.
If you and I do the teaching about God, we will soon find that we have made something to suit our own preferences. Whether it’s something that we’re comfortable with.
Or something that we’re comfortable ignoring.
We’ll make it work for a while. But in time, we’ll find ourselves further and further from anything real. Further and further from anything that will ever satisfy the hole in our hearts.
If we let God do the teaching, we’ll find ourselves drawing closer and closer to the source of reality itself.
If we persist, if keep letting God do the teaching, then we will find a peace and joy that can only come from satisfying our hearts by filling them with the very thing that they were meant to be filled with.
“The only One who can truly satisfy the human heart is the One who made it.”

Don’t allow anyone to tell you about your experience or why you had that experience. Only you and God will understand the purpose for what you’ve gone through. Your reason is not someone else’s reason. These so called experts of this world will have you running around questioning yourself more than you already do. Confusing you so much, that you won’t be able to see what God would have you to see. Your greatest source is one prayer away. Focus on that and watch how your life evolves according to his plan for you.

No matter how big, or small, the Lord is always listening to your prayers!
As I’m nearing the end of pregnancy, I’d found myself tossing and turning a lot the past few nights. Some nights not sleeping at all 😅
Personally, I know it comes with the territory, so it wasn’t the end of the world. I did notice, however, how it was effecting my homemaking.
So in the middle of random conversations I was having with my husband last night, I prayed to God that He give me peace and rest so that I can wake up before 3 in the afternoon, and have the strength and energy to enjoy more of my day.
We went right back to talking about other things like I hadn’t just done that 🤣
But God, I fell asleep last night at about 3 am, & woke up this morning at 11 am (that’s a *major* accomplishment for pregnant me 💀)
I’m writing about this as I make our grocery list to tell you that He absolutely listens.
So just pray. Even when it feels silly or excessive 🤍

"If you love Me, obey My commandments."
Many Believers say that they love Me, but their words are empty, and without love for Me. I desire those who actually desire Me and delight in Me as much as I desire and delight in them. I shouldn't have to put all the work into our relationship, and not receive any love in return.
If you were in a physical relationship with someone, and you ignored that person and treated him or her like you do with Me, that person would leave and want nothing more to do with you. It's not kind, and it's not how you treat someone who you claim to love.
The best way to show someone that you love them, is by finding out what his or her love language is (see The 5 Love Languages). Not everyone receives or gives love the same way. For example, I give others love through gifts and through words of affirmation. I receive love through physical touch, and love letters, or other romantic means. My husband, on the other hand, gives love through actions, and receives love through physical touch. So.....everyone is different. With Yah (G-d), He gives love unconditionally to those who He considers to be His kids, and He receives love by way of us being obedient to His Word. If you claim to be a child of the Most High, then you need to learn how to love your King. He loves being loved through your obedience to His desires.
How are we supposed to be obedient? What does it mean to be obedient to His Word and voice? We are supposed to be obedient by listening to what He has instructed us to do by reading His Word, and listening to what the Holy Spirit has told us to do. To be obedient to His Word and His voice means that we get rid of all the distractions around us, spend time with Him in His presence, and really tune in to listen to His voice, awaiting to see what He has to say. When I first started to do this with Yah, I literally had to plan out my day, setting aside time to spend time with Him. I was at a Women's Retreat in Texas, which was called Hearts of Beauty (which I highly suggest). Every morning, before we would have service, I would go down to the pier, and spend time with Him. I would sing to Him. I would talk to Him. I would just love being with Him. When I left there, I had to make sure that I kept up that schedule, so I continued to pray outside every morning, and then, outside every night. I would read His Word, and just listen to worship and praise music to help me get into His presence. I absolutely loved spending time with Him! For everyone else, your time with Him might be different, and that's okay. Just know that He desires and delights in you. He loves to spend time with you! He just wants to know that you want Him too!
He also has a set list of things that He is NOT okay with at all. Some might call these the 10 Commandments; however, there are so much more than just the 10. There are actually 613 commandments that He has given us; however, not all of them are for us to follow. They are all very important. The problem is, that there have been some Believers who were taught that the Old Covenant (Old Testament) is no longer relevant. But, that couldn't be further from the case. Why would Yah give us something to read, and then, say it wasn't important anymore? He wouldn't! He does not change...AT ALL!!!! You want to know who does change? People! People change, and people have added and deleted things from Scripture, without people realizing it. It started a very long time ago. The Roman Catholic church is one of the governing bodies which have done a very good job in adding and taking away from Scripture, in order to meet their agenda. In fact, every denomination that was created by man, have done this. That is why pastors are held in a much more stricter regard with Yah, is because they are supposed to teach His kids His words. If they are not doing it the way He wants (The Truth, and not their truth), then that is where the problem lies. Yah does not tolerate pride or rebellion or even disobedience to His Word, yet the Body of Christ have continued to believe "The Church" over G-d every time. G-d is NOT pleased with the Body of Christ. He is tired of the Body being abused by those who claim to be teaching them His Word, His Truth. That is why things have not been going smoothly is because of that. The Body of Christ would much rather believe people's lies, manipulations and twisted truth, over Him. It's a domestic violence relationship that could end very badly depending on bad it keeps going.
All Yah wants is to show His kids how much He loves them, but the problem is that they don't even know what it means to be loved anymore. They don't even know what love is. They know what the world's definition of love is, but not G-d's. G-d's definition is the most important anyways. It won't be until they learn what G-d's love is like, or even how to love themselves again, that they start to learn their value and their worth. Once this is done, they will desire real love and not fake love. G-d will be desired once again. In the meantime, He is getting frustrated and tired of waiting on people who have no desire in wanting His real love, but only want the fake love that is temporary and means nothing. This is very much a sad situation. People have chosen to make fake love an idol, and will do anything to get it, but they won't spend time with the One who created them to love in the first place. I can only imagine how frustrating that must be for Yah!
All He wants is us...to love Him...and not just for Him to love us. Being in a relationship is work, and it takes effort from both parties. Not just from Him. If your life isn't going so hot, maybe take a step back and see how your relationship with Yah is. If you aren't putting in much effort and work, then I would say up your efforts. He doesn't want lukewarm love or even cold love. He wants the ones who want to go all in, and are on fire for Him! If we are being honest with ourselves, we would want that too!

What is God Like?
The Father and I are one. John‬ ‭10‬:‭30‬ If you want to know what God is like, see Jesus. Throughout history there has been an effort to define God. If you read through the Old Testament, and believe it to be the word of God, you may be inclined to see a God of anger and wrath, a God that warns that disobedience will bring swift and deadly consequences. Yet if you read deeper into those…

God gave up on me
Savored teethed, slipping out lies, leave me with the moonrise
Welcome darkness, welcome the open door off the horizon

You showed me god
Dangled him on a leash I’m front of me and teased me with the idea of being content with living
I pray but it seems no one is listening
I’ve become exhausted with hopeful wishing

I was too pretty to be contemplating life
Now I’m too gone to be contemplating god
And I beg, “take me to the mountains. He is there waiting for me”

Progress
I love making progress.
Whatever kind of progress it is – whether we’re talking about health, relationships, careers, skills, hobbies – I love getting better.
My favorite kind of progress?
The kind where I don’t have to deal with anything I’ve done before. Where I don’t have to relearn anything, or dump my bad habits, or change. Much less apologize or make amends.
Where I can ignore all of that, pretend it never happened. And just focus on moving forward.
Too bad my favorite kind of “progress” only looks like progress. But doesn’t really do any lasting good.
I bring this up, because this is what’s going on in today’s Gospel. After the Resurrection, there’s this strange back and forth between Jesus and Peter.
Jesus asks Peter, “do you love me?”
Peter says yes.
Jesus asks Peter again, “do you love me?”
Peter says yes again. But there’s something different, something off about the question the second time.
Jesus asks Peter a third time, “do you love me?”
Now there’s an edge to it. Because this is a call-back to Peter’s most shameful moment.
To the small hours of the morning on Good Friday. When Peter, the one who bragged about being with Jesus to the end, denied even knowing Jesus. Three times.
And Peter is gutted.
Because Peter wanted to ignore all of that, pretend it never happened. And just focus on moving forward.
But that’s not how it goes.
Because Jesus loves Peter too much to settle for something that only looks like progress. But doesn’t really do any lasting good.
That’s why Jesus is calling Peter to the only kind of progress that can do any lasting good. The kind that begins by turning back. To deal with what went wrong.
Before Peter can be filled with the Holy Spirit. Before Peter can live up to the new name that Jesus gave him. Before Peter can be who God made him to be. Before Peter can make any progress.
Peter has to turn back. Peter has to deal with what went wrong. Peter has to repair his relationship with Jesus.
The Gospel is showing us a universal truth. When things go wrong. Especially when we’re the reason why they went wrong. We can’t just ignore what we did. And try to keep on going like nothing happened.
It’s not healthy. And the longer we avoid it, the worse it gets.
You and I will never make any real progress towards being who God made us to be, without first turning back, and dealing with what went wrong.
Without repairing our relationship with God, there can be no progress. Not for Peter. Not for any of us.
It’s simple. But it’s not easy.
God will give you the courage to do it. If you have the humility to ask.
Turn back. Deal with it. Repair your relationship with God.
Then get ready to see real progress.
Go. God is waiting for you with open arms.
